Need information on how to replace the cooling fan on my Pavilion g7-1139 series Laptop please .

    Hi, Rick:
It appears that the manual for the g7-1300 series would also pertain to yours...same hardware specs...
    http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/manualCategory?cc=us&dlc=en&lc=en&product=5214430&
There is no manual linked to your notebook's support page, and the one for the g7-1139 is for older hardware (1st generation core processors).

  • G6 1c58ca laptop want to replace cooling fan and copper part

i have probelm with cooling fan being really loud and making way too much vibration that actually numbs my hands while using wireless keyboard on same desk. so, i have taken apart the laptop to clean the cooling fan area with compressed air, and assembled it again, and ran the laptop.
a littble improvement but still same problem.
so i came to comclusion that the hardware part itself is the problem and i want to replace it.
so my question is where can i find or buy the cooling fan and copper colored line that is connected to cooling fan?

looked at amazon but they only had coolingfan part not the copper colored line.

  • Qosmio X500-11Q - How to replace cooling fans?

    Hi,
I'd to know if i can replace processor fan. It makes a lot of noise, and overheating.
Any reference or tips please ?

    Hey buddy.
In order to get access to the cooling modules, the whole notebook needs to be disassembled. :(
This is very tricky procedure since there are too many screws and parts which need to be removed.
I didnt find any disassembling manuals for download on the Toshiba European driver page I assume such docs are accessible for technicians only so I would no recommend trying to disassemble the notebook without having such guides.
Are you sure that your cooling module is faulty? Maybe there is dust and debris which affects the cooling fan functionality use compressed air spray which would helps to remove the dust in my case it helped

  • How to replace cooling fan on Tecra A3?

    Hi
I need to replace a fan of a Tecra A3. It makes a lot of noise, it appears to be broken.
I was trying to disassemble the laptop but there comes a moment that I can not continue.
Is there a manual or instructions for disassembling the computer?

Ok... it looks like you have begun the disassembling procedure and now you stuck somewhere and cannot remove the other parts... this is bad...
    I remember that someone said her in the forum this;
If you don't know how to disassemble the notebook, DON'T touch it...
Ok... this advice is a little bit to late for you ;)
Anyway.. I think you should goggle around for some website:
This should be you last resort...

  • What is the typical cost of replacing the cooling fan the laptop is HP Pavillion DV6 6165tx.

What is the typical cost of replacing the cooling fan in a
laptop computer ? (In India in Indian Rupees)?
The laptop is HP Pavillion DV6 6165tx. The cost means
    fan cost plus labour charges.

    Hi,
You should know this better than us. Normally part is around $40 (more or less) and labour can be $50 to $200. I would charge this for $400 (minimum) or free.

  • I need to replace my cooling fans

    Hi,
Can anyone give me some advice on this? I want to replace all of my original cooling fans with the best cooling and quietest available. I would like to hear from anyone whos has done this with success. All help is appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Kevin

    I recently silenced my fw800.
The trick is to run the PSU fans on 5 Volt, rather than just replace them. On 5 Volts, they should not make too much noise. Mine are still somewhat loud, and I suspect they're worn out. I'm about to swap them for ADDA fans, which I hear are more silent.
I'll run those on 7 Volts, because they're probably too weak to start on 5 Volts.
Of course, this will decrease airflow through the PSU, so you'll have to give it cooler air. Instead of having it suck in 110°F air from inside the case, I've removed the front speaker, built a cardboard channel, so the PSU will get cold, room temperature air ONLY!
Last thing up, you must install a PCI slot fan, because the PSU no longer provides global air output of the case.
Additionally, you might replace the 120 mm fan if you'd like, but the original fan (the Papst one) isn't that loud, actually.

  • How to replace a cooling fan.

Recently my toshiba satellite l455d-S5976 laptop started to over heat, and shut down from it. Figuring that simply clearing some gunk from the inside would solve my issues, I stupidly used a can of compressed air to blow into all the vents along the sides and bottom of the laptop. Later I find out that, since I didn't do anything to stop my fan from spinning too fast, I had completely ruined the laptop to the point that it would not stay on for more than 10 minutes without switching off.
My warranty is long since gone, and I don't have 200-500 dollars to pay for repairs that the representitive on the phone told me it would cost. After doing a little bit of research I've found a 25 dollar fan I can order online, and a recommended thermal grease to use with it.
However, this series of laptop seems to be fairly obscure, and the only information I can find about opening it up is to replace the CPU itself. To do that, however, it sais that you would need to completely dissasemble the laptop. I'm sure if push came to shove, I could manage to do so, but no doubt with quite a bit of a headache, but then on other series of Toshiba laptops I understand you can replace the fan/heatsink by simply removing the battery, unscrewing one panel, and replacing the parts from there. Is that possible with this series?
Also, do the fans come together as one unit with a heatsink, or do I have to detach the current fan from my heatsink and just replace the fan itself? If that's the case, I won't be needing to buy any thermal grease.
If it's any help here is the link to the fan and thermal grease I'm considering purchasing.

    Grease: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835100007

I don't know much about your particular laptop, but all laptops I have delt with, I needed to dissasemble the laptop in order to replace the fan.
If you do not think you are up for doing the replacement and don't have the money to take it in to a shop, i recomend you try out a cooling pad.  it shoots up air into your computer and cools it down. It is powered by your USB port.
However if you really want to fix it.  you should open it up by removing all the screws, opening up the laptop, remember to disconnect any cables, unplug fan, unscrew the fan/heatsink, replace, do everything again in opposite order.  For themal paste...I am not sure for your particular model, you would have to open your laptop to find out.

  • Cooling fans constantly run @ full speed after replacing the upper CPU??

After replacing the upper CPU on a Power Mac G5 (June 2004), Dual 1.8Ghz PowerPC, model M9454LL/A, all the cooling fans constantly run at full speed. All other operations are normal.
I've read, "...after replacing or switching CPU locations the Logic Board doesn't properly recognize the CPU's in their new location and a "Thermal Calibration" is needed". Could a "Thermal Calibration" possibly correct the constant full fan speed issue?
    What software would be required?

    Hi-
Could a "Thermal Calibration" possibly correct the constant full fan speed issue?
    Yes.
    What software would be required?
The Apple Service Diagnostic disc (ASD) of the proper version for your machine.
Call an authorized Apple service provider and arrange a calibration, as the disc is not readily available to individuals.

  • How many cooling fans are in 13" MacBook Pro retina?

I just got a late 2013 13" MacBook Pro with retina display and I'm wondering how many cooling fans are in the machine. I've noticed when I use iTunes to play music/movies or use the iTunes visualizer, it gets hot. I've seen the videos on the retinas and I've notived that the 15" model  has two and I can't find any videos or pictures indicating whether the 13" has one or two. I know that the openings on the side are to bring in air and then pushes it out where the screen and the keyboard meet. I notice a lot of hot air coming out more towards the right of the machine than the left. I had a mid 2012 non-retina Pro but I had it replaced as it had too many issues and I know when I used it, it didn't get as hot when I did this stuff. I'm just making sure in case it's an issue, even thought I got this new MacBook on Monday 6/9/14. I'm also guessing it heats up faster since its a smaller machine and the components are a lot closer. And I understand that playing games or doing something that requires a lot of processing or graphics power will cause the machine to heat up since it's requiring so much from the machine. Like I said, I want to avoid having issues with this one. My last MacBook had three logic boards, two hard drives, hard drive cable, hard drive bracket, and clam shell replaced in less than a year of purchase in September 2013. When the hard drive crashed last week for no apparent reason last week, I took it to Apple on Monday this week and they finally made the choice to replace it completely and I upgraded to a retina just by paying the difference.

This is my mac's info. I got it as a gift from australia. Initial 3 months it gave me a superb service, but recently it's having a major overheating issue,it shoots up up to 87 degrees. Is it possible that any other components are damaged somehow? Usually the temperature shoots up while I play online streamings.
