Replacement droid issue....

I got a droid 1 replacement phone from asurion 9/27. Problem: No SD card! They are on "backorder". I was assured that I would get a SD card mailed to me within 10 days. Its been about 3 weeks and nothing. My phone was lost( I had thought stolen). It was returned to me today. Another problem: Got old phone back, can't transfer SD card to active phone without losing all data on SD card. So now I have a activated phone, No SD card. And my old perfectly fine droid with SD card and all pictures and music. Hmmm.... What to do.

Been there done this. Although my phone was not returned. It was in fact stole.
Anyhoots, asurion isn't interested in you sending back the replacement phone?
I would assume they would be ok with this..considering your first device was in fact returned to you and not stolen.
I would send back replacement (contact asurion first) and activate your old device, by contacting Verizon on a land line or another cell other than yours.

Can anybody please help me with a replacement path issue which I have been struggling with for days, and I am completely lost
now and close to despair!
Here's what I am trying to do. I have a simple query with one key figure (let it be Presence) and three items in structure in rows: 0EMPLOYEE, 0PROFIT_CTR and variance. The idea is to show the result both for the person (0EMPLOYEE), and compare it with their overall profit centre result, and calculate variance.
For example:
John Doe: 50% (presence)
Profit centre which John belongs to: 40% (presence)
variance: 10%
The only variable I want to input is John's name, and the query is supposed to find his current (time dependant) profit centre (0EMPLOYEE_0PROFIT_CTR) and use it to calculate the profit centre result. Is there any way that I can achieve this?
Once the query is done, I want to set it up on the Broadcaster to run for all the people in the firm.

You need two queries to achieve this
Query 1 u2013 ( this gets Profit center of that employee to feed into Query 2)
Column Presence(key figure)
Row u2013 profit center
Employee u2013 Employee variable that is user entry
Query 2 u2013
Column u2013 Presence
Row Structure u2013 Selection 1- Title- Employee u2013Restriction should be employee with user entry variable
Selecton 2 u2013 Title For entire profit center u2013 Restriction should be Profit center u2013 Variable should be-Replacment path Variable- fetching Profit center from Query 1
Selection 3 u2013 Selection 1-Selection 2 this could be a cell defination.

Working on 3rd replacement droid phone

Hello All, I just received my second replacement droid phone this month (I believe it is the droid x) which is a certified like new replacement. The droid phones have been giving me problems with battery life. When I purchased my first droid phone the battery would last for three days, now I have to charge the phone every night. I have not changed the way I use the phone and I do not use the online features much at all. The second so-called certified like new replacement was malfunctioning from the start. As soon as I activated the phone it was running very slow, stalling after every press of a button. It took me 4 tries to check my voicemail. The numbers on the dial pad would stay on and freeze, or the area around the number would pixelate and disappear. I took the battery out to try a reset, since then it has been working better. I would really rather not get stuck with a bad phone and have to spend a lot of money for a replacement. The warranty on the phone will be up in a few months. I talked with verizon support thinking by now maybe they would send me a NEW replacement, but even the supervisor said they can't do that. Has anyone ever received a new replacement phone from verizon? Any suggestions will be welcome.

With that sort of battery life it does indeed sound like the Original Droid. My wife and mom had the same phone, I've been able to straighten out my wife's phone a couple of times however my mom had to replace her phone about 4 times. Went from a Droid incredible to a replacement Droid, cant sync contacts!

I got a replacement droid(1st generation ) until my new droid incredible comes in, I can't seem to import my old contacts to the relacement phone and there's no way to retrieve any info from my broken incredible, only face book contacts. I've tried just about everything, emailing my contacts, texting, syncing! I'm not quite sure how to export to my computer sync it to my phone either. Help!

Were your contacts on the old Dinc saved to just the phone or were they synced to your gmail account? Can you use your Dinc enough to export your contacts to the SD card and then you can transfer the resulting VCF file to a computer or the other phone?

I'm growing increasingly frustrated with my "replacement" Droid X2?

So I've decided to start a thread that counts how many times my phone either freezes or restarts itself, I've restored it to the same condition program and application wise as my old phone. As a note my old phone was submerged in a body of water twice and dried using brown rice, and it still performed better than my current "replacement" phone before finally succumbing to the recent flash flooding here in Las Vegas.
In order to maintain this thread's question status I will ask: IS anyone aware of a solution to my problems besides the following which I have already tried?
- Hard Reset - Leaving phone as a blank slate for a day did nothing to improve its disposition.
- Safe Mode - Phone continued to reset and freeze despite the only third party application (Aura for EVE Online) not being active
- Application Issues - The above mentioned application is currently the only third party app on my phone, it caused no issues with my previous Droid X2 and has never suffered any issues itself.
As of 2:30 AM 7/27/2013 my phone has:
FROZEN: 3 TIMES
RESTARTED: 8 TIMES

I see you've gone through a number of troubleshooting steps to try and resolve your device issues! I greatly appreciate and applaud your efforts.
I also see you mentioned receiving this device as an insurance replacement. Have you reached out to Asurion (888-881-2622) to inquire about the device warranty? They hold the warranty to the insurance replacement. You also mentioned upgrading, and that you're not eligible until next July. Are there any other lines on your account currently eligible for upgrade that you could possibly borrow?

Personally I would mandate that what ever is the consumer of the JMSQ should be compatible with XML name space constructs. If it is not under our control then one solution would be
1) Convert the xml to string
let $strContent := fn-bea:serialize($body)
2) Replace the ref: with ns1:
return fn-bea:inlinedXML(fn:replace( $strContent, "ref:", "ns1:") )
This is a very bad solution but should solve your issue if XML is not huge (huge XML will consume lot of cpu for this transformation ) .Ideally I would recommend changing the behavior of the message consumer.
Also you can try defining name space for http://www.indteur.org/abc/2.1/reference as ns1 in sbconsole proxy name space definitions. I believe even this will work but never tried.Let me know if this works for you.

My '08 17" macbook pro motherboard replacement has issues

my mac had its motherboard replaced by the recall a couple years back and since i got it back it has been restarting on it's own, if have too much pressure on the keyboard or if the surface under (table) isn't perfectly level.
ONce it restarts - it won't stop until it's level and been powered off and on several times.
I had been living with this problem for the past 2 years as of this february (I believe) until it stopped for 24hrs 3 weeks ago and I was forced to buy again.
My buddy told me it could be because apple hired a 3rd party company to handle the replacements of the recalled motherboards and they neglected to tape a cable that causes the power surge to restart my mac or that they didn't solder the connection.
How can i fix this issue?

Yes, it was the Nvidia GeForce 8600M GT recall
It works, but suffers from restarts when moved from one location to another and must be restarted over and over until the power from the surge stops.
I want to figure out how to fix myself (I do alot of iphone repairs and can handle small fixes) or if needed through apple or a 3rd party.
I need it fixed completely, because I'm sending this to my computer illiterate mother.

Replace function Issue

Hi All,
I using replace in my package and facing this issue.
In my code i have temp fields 1 to 15.
so when i use replace function to replace :temp1 value it also replaces value of :temp11.
     :temp1 = some checks
     :temp2 = some checks
     :temp9 = some checks
     :temp10 = some checks
     till temp15
Any Solutions for this?

CS4 replace image issue - Windows 7

New laptop - Dreamweaver CS4 - Windows 7...
If i insert an image to a document it puts the image in fine. But if I want to change that image I select that image and hit the "browse for image" (little folder icon) and select a different image in the" Select an image source" dialog box and click ok - nothing happens. The dalog box disappears and the old image remains. Almost as if i clicked cancel instead of ok.
Since this is a new laptop I'm not sure if it's a hardware or software issue. Never experienced this on my work coomputer on Win XP and CS4.
Any ideas?

Find / Replace Usability issue

The find/replace in current file ( Ctrl/F) does not list all
its occurrences. Find/Replace (ctrl-Shift-F) in Files does provide
somewhat a more "reasonable" tracking of its operation, maybe if a
current-file option is added it will solve my problem?.
So, am I missing something ?
A good (and consistent) find/replace facility is a very
useful in a "large" project, I like the one in the Old & Good
Macromedia's Homesite. A full refactoring facility would also give
us developers more ammunition to rave about FB3 :)

Flash Pro CS5 Replace Symbol Issue

In Flash CS5 pro, when I replace a symbol in the library, it seems to break the refresh of the item(s) in the timeline and on the stage.
For example, if I have a movie clip called "mouse" and modify it in one file, then copy that symbol into another Flash file (either copying it from one library to another, or copying a frame from one timeline to another, etc) it replaces the file....
...BUT the timeline layer that item is on turns blank and the item on the stage doesn't update.
When I scrub the timeline, the object appears and the timeline populates...
...BUT if I have applied tweens to the symbol, I can't preview them by scrubbing the timeline.
Also, none of the symbols used in the file consistently update on the stage or in the timeline.
If I try to change a tween in the timeline on any object, it doesn't update on the timeline (I can't see the tween).
Finally, if I publish the file while this issue exists, the object that I replaced does not tween properly.
In the end, I am forced to save the file, close Flash, and restart. When I restart, the replaced object is there, it tweens correctly, and the file and everything in it functions and its library functions normally.
I've never had this issue with previous versions of Flash. At times it is simply annoying, at other times it is a serious issue when I have to replace large numbers of symbols in large projects.
Anyone else had this issue, or have a recommendation for a fix?
My system is fairly robust... quad core 3.0 ghz, 8gb RAM, 3 x 500gb HDD, Windows 7 64 bit...and I ran Flash Professional CS4 on this same system without any of these issues.
I have the same issue on my work system, which is a completely different system.
I tried searching for a solution, but didn't find an issue listed that matched my problem.

Try file->save-as and save down to a CS4 document. Then try it. I've had a lot of really weird issues with CS5 in the past that saving down to CS4 somehow corrected. Although I use CS5.5 currently. Docs made in CS5 often don't even import into CS5.5 correctly. I need to go in CS5, open it, save down to CS4 and then reopen in CS5.5. There's something about saving down to CS4 that seems to fix things.
You can always save down to CS4, work in CS4 to make your changes then import it back into CS5 and export it.
In this world things are too complex and sometimes although it's not ideal, just getting it done for deadline is the real job.

Hard drive replacement major issues

I recently purchased a fifth (5.0g) generation ipod (30gb), with a view to replacing the headphone jack assembly, complete casing, and battery, and upgrading the hard disk (was 30gb, wanted to move to 120gb) of my purchases to have arrived are the headphone jack, which i tested and works fine, (these issues arose while using the ipod i originally recieved, with only the new headphone jack assembly and new hard disk) then my toshiba MK1224GAL hard disk (8mm) arrived, after replacing the hard disk i was met with a screen asking me to plug into itunes and restore, knowing the drive is blank i tried plugging into windows, and wanting to format it went to my computer, however right clicking to get to the 'format' option caused my computer to crash, multiple tries failed, computer-management-disk management also caused the window to crash and would not display the connected drives, from the command prompt the DISKPART command could not load a list of drives either, attemtpted to restore with itunes, everything went smoothly until i was told to wait for my ipod to re-start, however it never re-started, after trying multiple tries i attempted to use the HP USB key formatting software, with which i was continuously met with the 'disk is write-protected' error, then found anapod ipod initialiser, which crashes on any attempt to format my ipod's new drive. I swapped back to the original 30gb drive to see if the ipod still worked - which it did just as before, until i re-inserted the new 120gb drive where starting or resetting the ipod resulted in it getting to the black apple screen with the back-light off, and then freezing, any attempt to get it into disk-mode has been unsuccessful, and after a while im met with 'ipod battery is very low, charging'. upon this i reverted to the original 30gb drive and am met with the same issue, has anyone any idea what to do now? im utterly stumped

As soon as I press the PRAM reset switch the power supply noise changes from a random whine to a fix pitch whine for about 5 secs or until I press the power on switch
That's also not right. You're trying to reset the "PRAM" actually called the PMU in this machine while it's active and that's for sure not right.

/bin/sh replaced by busybox /etc replaced - security issues ?

I have a mac pro (10.5.5) that keeps crashing - it's done it three times - each time the symptom is the same. It can't run /bin/sh during the boot - I started digging into the forensics and found that /etc has been replaced by a dir with four files (localtime memberd.conf mtab udev) instead of the usual link to /private/etc.
Stranger still /bin/sh has been replaces with a symlink to a linux executable /bin/busybox
I suspecting some sort of security issue but can't for the life of me figure out what. Google shows up nothing, scans with VirusBarrier X5 show nothing (since uninstalled because at one point I suspected it).
I'm stumped.

I've just had the same thing happen to me.
I rebooted my Mac Pro after running a Permissions Repair and it hung on the blue screen.
When I boot from a clone of my primary drive, the primary drive has the same /etc you see, and /bin/sh is a link to /bin/busybox.
I can't figure this one out either.
The only software I have installed recently is MacPGP and GPGMail, and of course the 10.5.6 Apple update from the full Combo image.
No idea at what point this happened, but it certainly *****.
Yesterday I re-installed 10.5.0 and then updated with Combo 10.5.6 to the latest to recover from a Drive Genius failure (stupid thing destroyed my primary), so I've got a very fresh install.
Cannot imaging what has happened.
Other strange issues just before I rebooted (and why I rebooted), were that iTerm could not install due to permissions errors, and the machine failed to boot in single user mode, probably due to the /bin/sh switch.

Asurion not replacing Droids any more?

Just wondering from what I've heard seems like Asuion is not replacing the Droid with a Droid any more but instead they are sending out the Eris? Can anyone confirm?

yeah, a few places have reported this. Apparently they're currently offering the Eris, Ally and Devour as alternatives but it's possible for others to be included later.

Replacing MP3 issue

Being new to FCP 7, I ran into an issue with a MP3 file that was giving me problems. After researching and feeling dumb for realizing they aren't so much compatible with FCP, I replaced the said cue. My issue now is, throughout my edit (2 plus hours), I have actually used several other MP3 files - files that have NOT given me issues thus far on the cut, the one that I replaced was the only one giving me problems.
My question now is, should I replace the non-problematic (yet) files going forward? If so is there an easy way to do so without having to recut all the pieces of music with new AIFFs?
Any help would be great. I searched and couldn't find an answer specific to the issue of replacing mp3s that have "worked" so to speak. Any help would be fantastic.

yes you should replace all mp3's. they may work for a while, but just when you need to make a deadline and output, things will go south. mp3's like h264 quicktimes are not fcp friendly.
You may be able to reconnect the mp3's with the aiffs. Worth a shot. Select an mp3 in the timeline or browser, control click and choose reconnect, navigate to the aiff and disable what ever it says about it needing to have the same file name and try to reconnect. It may tell you attributes don't match, but try continuing. It may work. If it does, do this with the rest of the mp3's in your project.
