Replacement express VI for FP-1000 control

Dear Forum Members,
I have an old Field Point 1000 unit that I would like to continue using for simple control of valves. However, I wrote the original VI program for the unit back in 2009 and the original express VI used to create program is no longer in the Lab View 2011 suite. Since I don't use Lab View much, I need to relearn much of the interface format.
I have attached a screen shot of the current VI. Could anyone give me a pointer on how to replace the fieldpoint express VI's?

Thanks for your reply. Unfortunately, there is no help for field point, nor are there any example VI's in help ( l looked profusely). there are many examples prior to 2005 on line, but even in my old Lab View folders I can't find the express VI's for Field Point. I imagine the 2011 install wiped them out.
The most related expample I have found is to control a serial port device. Here, it seems VISA is involved.
I can see the FP-1000 it in MAX, but I don't know how to start replacing the express field point VI with something that would do the same job, which is to control valves via a FP-DO-401 unit attached to the FP-1000.

Air port express needed for streaming if I have new apple TV?

I had so far a setup for music streaming where I used an additional airport express station where I have my AV receiver and had this station connected to the receiver. This old air port station is not working anymore and I anyway will change my whole setup now because I will get a new AV receiver with HDMI and I will connect a new apple TV directly to the receiver via HDMI. My question is whether I need to buy and connect also a new airport express station for some music streaming etc or can I with the new setup stream everything I want by using only the appletv (since the appletv supports also wlan)? I don't have at this place a lan cable availavle and also don't want to get one there, therefore I will need a wireless solution.

You can connect AppleTV to the reciever via HDMI or optical.
AppleTV's HDMI implementation has always been rather fussy and can be incompatible with some HDMI switches/receivers.
One potential issue is reports from some users that if the TV is not displaying the AppleTV output, then it goes to sleep and cannot be used for streaming audio - most of these reports relate to AppleTV connected to TV by HDMI and secondary optical output to receiver.
It may work fine for you but there is such a myriad of AV kit and TVs it's impossible to be sure without testing in a particular combination.
I assume you would use the AppleTV for other features not just audio, else just get an Airport Express.
AppleTV has wi-fi and ethernet connections - apart from the audio output side of things it does not do any of the other things an Express does.
Of note is reports that AppleTV always outputs stereo content as 16bit 48kHz PCM over optical and probably HDMI too.
If you choose AppleTV remember that in addition to using it as an Airport speaker for audio (redubbed Airplay as it now includes video in some instances) pushed from iTunes AppleTV can pull audio files directly from iTunes to play and output using it's onscreen menu system controlled by the physical remote or Apple's Remote app for iPhione/iPad etc. Do an A/B of both audio streams they will differ - itunes effects will get pushed through Airplay, they're not added when AppleTV directly plays the files (better in my experience when using in a hi-fi setting not compensating for small computer speaker deficiencies).

What kind of a camcorder you can advise me to buy for about $1000? Whether new, refurbished or used. The one which uses miniDv tapes.

I have used a camera service and repair shop for years. This guy used to be a highly acclaimed lead engineer in Sony's Professional Division, who now runs his own shop and performs all the maintenance, service and repair for a number of broadcasters and TV stations, as well as consumers and professionals. He gets all kinds of cameras and decks in his shop, so he has a very broad experience and sees all kinds of causes for problems.
One is often surprised of the myriad of causes for severe problems one can have with a camera that really looks in pristine condition. Stupid little things like a filter thread on the lens that is ruined, the mini mic connector, that is bent internally, moist that corroded the audio board, salt water spray that ruined the i-Link connector, worn-out drums or heads, head clogging on tape based cameras, overloaded audio connectors that cause a hiss, etc.
There can be so many small but bothersome things with a used camera that looks as if it is brand new, and are very dificult to discern. Example of a used Sony Z1. Looks superb, drum and head hours are OK and looks good. No visible damage, test shows it works without problems, but how do you find the the mic suspension has once been broken and replaced, but not with the original screws, but a size larger. On the Z1 this is a weak point. Now if you break it again and get a replacement, you find out that the original screw size does no longer fit. Minor problem, but it may require additional parts to get it back in original condition. Or you may find out that there are dead pixels on the LCD screen, or one of the sensors has been burned in by shooting an sunrise just a bit late, or the lens is slightly misaligned due to heavy force when removing a filter, etc.
A camera left in the sun in a car and getting very hot, which reduced the life span of the disk, a Monday morning hard disk that developed a number of bad sectors, a camera used at the Niagara Falls in the spray causing internal corrosion, used in the rain without a rainslicker, all these things can not be determined by a visual inspection.
I'm not saying there are no good used cameras, I'm saying you have to be very careful if you want to buy a used camera and ideally you would have a good service shop do a complete inspection of the camera and advising you whether it is worth the asking price, like one does when buying a used car.
To continue the Z1 example. I was on a sailing trip, island hopping in the Caribbean and the accessory shoe on the camera came loose, you still have 6 days before you can find a local shop if you can find one to repair it on Jost van **** or Virgin Gorda or Saba. So you try to repair it on board with limited tools and means. Nail polish and loctite were temporay solutions, but when one wants to remove the screws that were fastened with loctite on board, you have a problem. You don't see it until it is too late. Hidden limitations that a seller usually does not tell you.
Personally I prefer to save a bit longer and buy new.

Error:maintain out going EDI Connection for Partner 1000

I have output master record for vendor 1000 and i have done edi settings namely fileport, partner prifile. My problem is
1While creating PO, the settings are not reflected ( i checked them in Path Goto->mesages.) When i try to give them manually the erros says"MAINTAIN OUTGOING EDICONNECTION FOR PARTNER 1000"

Make sure to create entries for output control as well as for outbound parameters.
XXXX is defined in the partner profile by WE20.
To this XXXX partner, there are two setup are needed to solve the issue in WE20:
1 . Partner Role is required ( like LS for Logical system).
2. in Message Control tab, an Apllication/Message Type/Process code record is required as well. The message Type is actually the output type.
Please check these and post if it is not resolved.

My group has used the Sun Electronics PC-1000 Process Controller for some time, with good results. There are some instructions in the beginning of this Engineering Note (pdf link) that discribe how to iteratively determine the PID coefficients for a linear system. I'm not a mathematician, so I can't vouch for whole document, but their somewhat antiquated instruments DO work

Oc4jadmin not working for application server control in SOA suite 10.1.3.1.

We have installed the SOA suite, and I can login to the various components using oc4jadmin/password (bpel, esb, rules author), but for some reason that oc4jadmin password is not working for Application Server Control, which is the only piece of this I really need to log in to.
Any thoughts on what is going wrong?

Maybe you change this password internally for another application (such BPEL, WSM,etc) and didn't make change for your main OC4J container.
You can try to change this password by...
1. Open the file [OASHome]\j2ee\home\config\system-jazn-data.xml
2. Find the section that looks like this

While doing the stock transfer (MB1B) from unrestricted stock to sales order stock system is giving the below error.
"Account determination for entry 1000 AUM 1000 ___ 3100 not possible
    Message no. M8147
Diagnosis
    The system did not find an account for this transaction. This means that
    the account determination for key 1000 AUM 1000 ___ 3100 is not
    maintained in MM Customizing (Valuation). The key is made up of:
    o   Chart of account
    o   Transaction key (= Posting transaction)
    o   Valuation grouping code
    o   Account grouping code
    o   Valuation class
System Response
    The system cannot update a G/L account for this transaction. You cannot
    post the transaction."
*The total quantity of the Material is 600.but if i transfer up to 599 qty system is not giving any error.for 1 qty only its asking    AUM assignment.*
**why system is behaving like this..? where its finding the price difference...?

This transaction is used for transfer postings from one material to another if the complete value of the issuing material cannot be
posted to the value of the receiving material. This applies both to materials with standard price control and to materials with moving average price control. Price differences can arise for materials with moving average price if stock levels are negative and the stock value becomes unrealistic as a result of the posting. Transaction AUM can be used irrespective of whether the transfer posting involves a transfer between plants. The expenditure/income is added to the receiving material.

DW expression without explicitely naming the control

Hello, all
I have a theoretical question regarding DW.
Some of my DW's are denced charts with numerous controls. These controls do not have enough space to show all the needed data, so they have tooltips. Each control has the following expression (or something similar) in the tooltip : describe("controlname.text")
My question is: is it possible not to name the control explicitely in the expression, but use some other relative expression, which returns the current control (the tooltip text is always dependent on the data in it's own control).
I hope my quesiton was not too confusing. I know how to make it work in the code, I just go over the controls and set the tooltip accordingly on each one. But is it possible to set the same exact extression in the painter itself?

Battery cycle count of 390 - will Apple replace my battery for free?

I've got a MacBook, late 2008 model. It has a cycle count of 390. I have no idea if this is a lot or not. The MacBook only will work when connected to the charger, the battery won't charge any longer.
Will Apple replace my battery for free? Or is a cycle count of 390 high and will I have to replace it myself...

No, battery is consumable under apple warranty so you have to burchase it. 390 cycle is ok, the effect will be seen when it reach <1000. see this is mine MBP, early 2011

I am new to Microsoft developing tools and I have spent the last two days trying to install VS Express 2013 for Web on my laptop that's running windows 8.1 (X64,Intel
Core i5 3337U (1.80GHz)).
I run it as an administrator and have enough space on the disk. However, I keep on getting the same error.
Microsoft Visual Studio Express 2013 for Web - ENU Fatal error during installation.
After uninstalling and deleting the temp files, I get an additional error.

It maybe a registry or administrator issue.
Please install VS with administrator.
What's more, it maybe a corrupt registry issue. And you can't install any version of Visual Studio, I think you can use the tool to fix problems that programs cannot be installed or uninstalled. It also can fix the corrupted registry keys.

No JavaScript Intellisense in Visual Studio Express 12 For Windows Phone

I'm developing mobile app for windows phone using Windows phone 8 SDK (Visual Studio Express 12 For Windows Phone). I want to use code auto-Complete facilities when coding in Javascript. For that I need to use Intellisense for JS.
According to my knowledge, To configure Intellisense according to my knowledge,It have navigate to the [Tools] > [Options] > Text Editor > JavaScript > IntelliSense >
But in my [Tools] > [Options] > Text Editor > list there is No item called JavaScript.
Please help me for solve this.

I try to test it in my side, I could get the JavaScript Text Editor in my side.
So I doubt that it would be your VS IDE issue. If possible, please download it from the official site here:

And then repair your VS, test it again.
Or you could run the following command lines with the Developer Command Prompt of VS2012:

Where can I buy a genuine apple replacement battery (A1309) for my Mid 2010 17" Macbook Pro? There are used batteries on ebay that don't appear genuine. There are some third-party knock offs. The apple store seems to believe they can replace it, but I have to make a reservation at the silly Genius Bar just to have them tell me how much it's gonna cost, not to mention then likely wait for them to order the battery and install it. I'm perfectly capable of installing it myself. I just need to know where I can order it?

Yeah, that's what I've finally decided. I was kidna super frustrated because the first apple store I called wouldn't even tell me a price or tell me if they could replace the battery without a Genius Bar appointment, and as I would have to take off work and drive acros town--and I don't have a car so I'd have to borrow one--that was pretty annoying. That call left me pricing linux laptops. I called another store to see if I'd have better luck, and the initial answer was the same, but the girl relented under some trying-to-be-nice-but-clearly-annoyed pressure, and she gave me the answers I needed: yes, they should have the battery in stock and it should be a same-day replacement that should cost $179.
It just *****, really, because there's so much about Apple that I used to love, and I'm watching it kinda melt away under their success in the mobile market. As a professional user, there's less and less reason to stick with them. Instead of being the best they can be, I feel like they're just trying to be flashier and just a little better than the other mediocre computer companies. Ugh. Anyway, now I'm ranting.

I agree with the pvdg42's suggestion, so if possible I suggest you can try the pvdg42's suggestion to install the VS2013 Community check your issue.
In addition, I suggest you can refer the VS2013 Express MSDN document to understand different project use the different version of VS2013 Express.

iTunes and iCloud and different accounts, you will need to delete both accounts from your device before adding the new details in their place.
For iCloud go to settings > iCloud, scroll down and hit the delete button. You can then sign back in using your correct details. For iTunes go to settings >store, tap your account ID and then sign out, you can then sign back in using your correct Apple ID.
