Are you sure your cellular carrier is informed that you replaced the old iPhone? I suggest contacting them. They may well ask you for your iPhone's identification (serial, IMEI, etc.).

It's the phone, well possibly the firmware on the phone.ots of people have this issue. I have O2 send three sim cards, run network diagnostics, send an engineer to check the nearest three mobile masts and everything was deemed to be running very well.
The only option I am left with, and O2 strongly recommended this, was to phone Apple Care and arrangement an appointment at the nearest Apple Store. After just three minutes on the phone the Apple employee had arrangement a phone replacement and he said the staff will not bother even asking questions apart from requesting identification which is pretty good... But worrying all the same. They were really quick to offer a replacement, I wonder if they are aware of a faulty batch or something.

if u unplug then that could put ur device into recovery mode. i would wait

If I understand your question, you are trying to update your iPhone, but you are seeing an error message that iTunes for Windows is not installed, is that right? The first step is to get iTunes successfully installed on your computer. Then backup the iPhone before updating the iOS software.

I have had about 9 iOS devices at work do this.
The fix and it will wipe out anything on your iphone is to connect it to your computer and have the latest version on iTunes open. Hold the Power/Sleep and Home button till it blanks out. Keep holding the home button untill it says recovery mode on the screen of the computer and do a restore.

"Sounds like you guys are using the same apple id for imessage. You will need to create a separate id for you wife. OR go to settings - message - receive&send and make sure your phone number is the default for both you and yoru wife.

Double tap home button quickly in new row of icons at bottom, tap and hold your Message Icon until the Red Minus Sign appears, tap it to delete from background memory. Then slide all the icons to the right, all the way, see if the Lock Icon is present, if locked, unlock it. My recommendation is to restart the iPhone. All you do is hold down the top button and hold down the home button for 5 seconds untill it automatically shuts down. Then click the top button untill you see a grey apple on your screen.

The first thing that I always do when I have issues syncing is quit iTunes, restart my Mac and reboot my device.

You have to restore the device within iTunes. You want to use the same computer that you always sync with so that you can restore your app data and settings. You can restore with any other computer, but you will lose everything on the iPad.
