Replacement iPhone keeps coming up with someone else's Apple ID
Hi All,
Yesterday I took my iPhone 4s to the Genius Bar which resulted in me getting a replacement phone. I was very happy with this until my phone is constantly asking me to sign in with my Apple ID but it is giving someone else's email address. I am constantly having to retype my email address and password at random times, not only when downloading updates from the App Store. It is now getting as frustrating as the initial problem I had with the old phone so almost wishing I hadn't bothered. Does anyone know of a solution please?!!

The title says it all.
Some background info:
1. I purchased the iPhone 6 Plus new in the box at Target on January 10 2015. The phone has only ever been mine, and it was not a refurbished device.
2. Absolutely no one else has access to my PC or iTunes, whether it be physical access or knowing my usernames or passwords.
What happened;
1. Phone fell out of my hand face down on my patio. It had the leather Apple case on it. Picked it up and sure enough the entire front screen was smashed.
2. Phone responds to touch, but not property. I contemplate doing a backup and then resetting but I skip that and just do a "erase all content and settings"
3. Phone reboots and prompts me for this Apple ID (x*****@1*****.com) to log in.
4. That is NOT my Apple ID, not even close
5. I have no idea how the strange Apple ID is now embedded in MY phone, I have absolutely no way to access my own phone!
What I have done:
1. Called and spoke to several Apple reps; technical, Apple care, customer service, and then finally a senior supervisor named Matt.
2. Matt spent over an hour on the phone with me discussing this and he decided I should email him my proof of purchase directly through an Apple link that he emailed me.
3. I scanned every document I had with the receipt, paperwork, IMEI info and sent it over. He reviewed and says he will have to put in a request to do a force unlock which will remove the strange Apple ID and allow me back in
4. I set up an appointment at the nearest Apple Store to fix the phone. They do not know of the Apple ID issue and I was told they wouldn't be equipped to handle that anyway until the phone would be able to be unlocked.
5. So now I have to wait for Apple to force unlock my phone before (hopefully) my appointment on Tuesday so I can get in to it and they can fix it
Now from all the people I have talked to and all the Googling I have done I have found no reference to this happening to anyone ever. The only related incidents like mine is if someone bought the phone through another consumer or sold it online and did not wipe their ID properly. This however doesnt apply to me since I bought it from Target, unless they sold me some second hand phone.
Any opinions or insights on what it is that has actually happened to my phone from the time it broke and rebooted to magically having someone else's Apple ID as the authentication?
I really hope someone here has some insight.
Thank you.The answer is very simple: You were not the original owner of the phone. Target sold you a phone that had been returned. You can verify the date of the original sale here: Apple - Support - Check Your Service and Support Coverage. I suspect you will find that the warranty expiration date is not one year from the date that you bought it.

That does happen. It depends on how hard the server is being hit, as well as the connection speed of your system. If you are on a windows system, you will want to disable any antivirus or firewall software during the download.

IOS demanding activation with someone else's Apple ID I don't recognise
Yesterday I went to look at my iPad which was previously asleep but turned on and found that it had been shut down. On power up it asked me to activate the iPad but it's rejecting my Apple ID.
I can only assume someone has hacked find my iPhone and locked me out remotely.Apple can't find it for you. You have to go to icloud.com on a computer and sign into the iCloud account that was used on the phone, then see if you can track it as described here: http://help.apple.com/icloud/#mmfc0f2442. If you don't know the password for your iCloud account you won't be able to sign in to track it.
If it was stolen, contact the police and your carrier, and change your passwords. -

Apple can't find it for you. You have to go to icloud.com on a computer and sign into the iCloud account that was used on the phone, then see if you can track it as described here: http://help.apple.com/icloud/#mmfc0f2442. If you don't know the password for your iCloud account you won't be able to sign in to track it.
If it was stolen, contact the police and your carrier, and change your passwords. -
For some reason my phone keeps coming up with someone else's Apple ID when ever I go into iTunes or App Store. I can't seem to stop it, anyone know why it does this and how to stop it.
This means that some of your apps were purchased under a different ID. The only way to get rid of this message is to delete the apps that were purchased under that ID.

So ive had iPhones for like 3 years, and this is the only trouble ive had, i just updated it to the new system and my phone will not restore. I updated my dad's phone last night before doing mine and i have tryed to restore it on three different computers and it keeps coming up with error 1. and i have no idea how to fix it. If your son is 25 years old, get him his own AppleID and make him responsible for his own bills.

My ipjone keeps coming up with a message say that the cable or accessory urged in is not a reliable source for this iPhone but I do not have Nything plugged in to my iPhone. I Put it in a bowl of rice for 2 hours to see if that would help it but it hasn't. Is there anything thank can do???
Clean the connector on the bottom of the phone. Use a magnifying glass, bright light, and a wood or plastic toothpick. If you got the phone wet put it in a bag of uncooked rice for several days, not hours.

Well, if you no longer sync contacts with iCloud, that means that anyone else using your Apple ID for iCloud will no longer have access to your contacts.

Pacdiffviewer won't open vimdiff anymore
I've always used pacdiffviewer to compare config files, but now it doesn't open vimdiff anymore. I can press "S" or "R" to supress or replace, but when I press "2" to open vimdiff, it sort of just refreshes the screen or returns to the .pacnew list.
