Replacement iPhones in the UK from Apple Store new or refurbished?
Are replacement handsets offered in the Apple Store new or refurbished? From speaking with the staff there they referred to them as Service Grade handsets and I did notice the box containing the handset had a quality control sticker applied to it.
I am looking to exchange my faulty iPhone but do not want the replacement to be a used and refurbished handset while I am within 14 days of original purchase.

I doubt you would get a refurb in return. Most of the stock in the UK will still be new stock and their first distribution point will likley be through the uk applestore, but i'm guessing it might be a month or two before they show up. Refurbs can be unsold old stock (unopened) or unwanted returns (openened) or even repaired stock. Before they go on sale they test them out for a while to catch any obvious issues. Typically they are a good deal.
I'm sure if you returned to the applestore and they agreed to a replacement (within 1 year not 12 days) ask that it be from new stock and they will oblige.

I'm assuming you can..now I don't know the prices for your area, you'll have to check around, I just did a quick web search and I'm pulling all sorts of prices up, I'd look into a repair facility near you and see what they can do for you :-) shouldn't be too expensive though! Good luck!

they said leap year added extra day so too late out of warrenty, sorry but can sell you new one i called apple said same , a company that big should take care of customers the origanel receipt should of said under date of purchess warrnty to end date following year,That's strange, because no where in the iPhone's limited warranty does it state "365 days", but it does state 1 year. I think the only way they could get out of that is because of the battery, which is not covered by the warranty. HOWEVER, it is stated on AT&T's website that claims are handled from 31-365 days, which would explain why the Apple people acted as such. I know you have Verizon, but since it is (essentially) the same device, it's under the same warranty.

Many people have had stories about issues happening as soon as their warranty expires, with products in general.
I'd just consider upgrading, and selling your old one. -

The warranty for an iPhone is not international, in case your phone needs to be serviced or checked by an Authorized Apple Service Provider, you'll have to bring it back personally to the country where it has been bought. In your case, Apple in France will not service a phone bought in the USA.

Ask Apple directly when you go into the store to purchase your iPhone 6. Also, be aware that the T-Mobile iPhone 6 is contract free, but NOT unlocked. Apple is not selling the unlocked versions of the iPhone 6 or 6+ yet in the US. -
How fast will iPhone 5s sell out from Apple Stores?
Ok I know this is impossible to answer but I was just wondering compared to previous years how fast iPhones have sold out. I may not be able to get to an Apple Store untill Sunday, 2 days after the release date. Do you think that the iPhone 5s will be sold out by then?

Nobody here knows how many iPhone 5s Apple has to sell, how many of each model are allocated to each store, which store you intend to visit, which model you want, how many other people will want to buy the same phone at that same store, and how quickly the store staff can sell them.
My purely uneducated guess is: you'll be extremely lucky to find any initial stock left 2 days after release, unless they've had further deliveries. But I could be wrong. -
Leopard Ships on the 26th from apple store
So I can't wait until Leopard is available. In my rush to get it I thought that I would order it online via the Apple store but when it came to the shipping screen it said ships Oct 26th. So I called MY-APPLE and they stated that it would ship the 26th NOT delivered. So I guess I am going to have to head to the store at 6. But my question is why would they say delivers on the 26th and not ships?

There is no indication this will change for Leopard.
I would get the family license if you want to install it on more than one machine.
Historically while there have been no blocks like registration codes, or activation, legally you should follow the license agreement. In addition, the installer disks that come with one Mac should never be used on another Mac. If you lose such installation discs it is best to call AppleCare:

Don't buy from a third party that won't give you the installation disks that come with the Mac, as they aren't their's to keep when they sell you a used or refurbished Mac.

Probably will never ever think of buying a locked phone from AT&T cause its one of the worst system integrations ever that these companies could think of.
The entire problem started when I put in a request with at&t to unlock my iphone 4s (ios7) which did get approved. I performed the entire instructions they asked me to do, which is to backup and restore. After doing those instructions my iphone gave me an error message below
The SIM card inserted in this iPhone does not appear to be supported.
The SIM card that you currently installed in this iPhone is from a carrier that is not supported under the activation policy that is currently assigned by the activation server. This is not a hardware issue with the iPhone. Please insert another SIM card from a supported carrier or request that this iPhone be unlocked by your carrier. Please contact Apple for more information.
Basically saying that at&t hasn't still unlocked the iphone which a really helpful apple executive was able to confirm. I initiated another unlock process from at&t in order to unlock the iphone, just to be sure that its not something wrong from my end. The nice at&t lady stayed on chat with me to unlock the iphone step my step while I was calling the apple tech too. And the apple tech confirmed again that the iphone is locked to at&t.
Now, just a few minutes ago I tried another restore to see if any progress is being made and to my surprise I got an error message saying
Replacement Needed. This iphone is not able to complete the activation process and needs to be replaced. Please visit your nearest apple store or authorized service center.
I feel like I am just going around these two different "money hogger" companies which set certain rules and regulations to screw a regular phone buyer. I purchased this iphone in USA and trying to unlock in India, is it really this hard to simply unlock a device.
For now I am going to try to call a apple office in india (apprently we don't have very many out here) and see if they can help me. But any other assistance regarding unlocking an iphone 4s would be helpful. I have however, tried checking IMEI.info, called up apple, talked to at&t (which always say go talk to apple) I do have a case number from apple as well in case an apple executive reads this discussion forum (case number: 566383594)

And @ Varjak is right that after the 3rd restore I get the replacement error.
Plus I have NEVER jailbroken the iPhone. To give you another update, I spoke to a really nice apple tech in India who was atleast able to get me out of the replacement error by doing a recovery mode option. However, the lastest restore still gives me the same error

I gave my iPhone 4s today in geneva apple store, the replaced it to a new one. Yesterday i made a synchronization that i cannot find today to synchronize the new iPhone. Is it possible to have all my iPhone content again ???
yes i can see the old ones..... but all summer i synchonised my iphone.....

Not covered by warranty. If you make an appointment at an Apple store, you will be offered an out of warranty replacement. Cost is US $199 for an iPhone 4S.
