Replacement ipod skipping and pausing songs

Hi,
I paid to have my replaced in january as I had smashed the screen and it was out of warranty but now the replacement continually skips and pauses songs and activates voice control while it is locked. According to apple this new ipod is not under warranty so i would have to pay to get it sent in for repair. I'm currently living in Austria where Apple stores aren't easily accessible so I can't just take it in...Any ideas?

To delete all music go to Settings>General>Usage>Storage>Music>Tap edit in upper right and then tap the minus sign by All Music

IPod skips and pauses after update

After updating to the most recent software my iPod Photo (20GB) started acting up.
* I can't automatically update my playlists (Error Message: "This iPod can not be copied to" appears after about a third of the songs have been successfully updated). I can then manually copy the rest of them one by one. Tedious!
* iPod skips and freezes on certain songs
* Resetting, restoring, re-installing software (iPod and iTunes) does not take care of the problem

I'm afraid I won't be any help to you, but I DO HOPE someone can enlighten us. I am also having this problem and I have just now exchanged my Nano for the second time because of this loose connection. I suspected the earphones immediately. If I lay the iPod on a flat surface 2 feet behind me without arm/hand interferance and sit like a statue without blinking or breaking a smile, I'm good. But once I breath the earphones disconnect. Would I be soo dumb to think it was because I got the Nano Silver instead of the Green? One friend has a Green and the other has Red. They both have "snap in" solid connections. I'm on my third set of earphones and second car transmitter. NOT making any difference. Someone please....do I keep exchanging this thing until I find a "snappy" earphone hole?

ITunes songs skip and pause the abruptly stop and skip to another song

Please help. I have had my macbook for just under two weeks and earlier this evening my itunes has stopped working properly. Every song i play it skips and pauses much like a cd, and then eventually stops abrubtly mid song and skips to another. Please help me to resolve this issue.

I just bought a new MacBook and am having the same problem with certain songs. It'll pause at the same point each time, then jump to the next song.

if it is too technical for you, but it does gives you the condition of your harddisk.
What's happening is that some songs are on bad cluster, which need to be moved or reallocate to good cluster.
To fix it in Windows simply run
chkdsk drive: /R /F
where drive: is the iPod drive ID. D: or E:
in Mac run Diskutilty -> FirstAid -> repair.

IMovie Project seems to skip and pause very briefly during playback

I am creating a video montage in iMovie '09, though when viewing the project during playback the video does not play smoothly and seems to skip and pause very briefly while continuing to play. Each clip separately played smoothly prior to its addition into my iMovie project.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

What kind of clips are these?
Specifically, if you right-click on a clip in the Event Browser and select "Reveal in Finder", then right-click on the clip in the Finder and select "Open with...QuickTime Player, and then hit Command-I in QuickTime Player to open the Inspector Window, what codecs are mentioned next to the word "Format:"?

Skips and pauses in Itunes

HI, Last night I watched two episodes of Lost which I had been saving. I just put up with the annoying skips and pauses and just tried to consentrate on what a good series it is and that I am lucky to be able to download and see it. The second one played better no skips and pauses but half wat through I got a broken line across the screen about a quarter of the way up the screen that didn't go away untill the episode ended.
Any word on fixes for Itunes playback?

Do you have 'volume logic' installed if so try removing it, it worked for me

Ipod skips past several songs then freezes and shows error message

My ipod recently started skipping past several songs at a time. When this happens, the album artwork doesn't match up with the song title shown beside it and the ipod just keeps skipping over songs, sometimes 20 or 30 until it finally stops and starts working again. Then it will just stop all-together and show an error message.....connect to apple.com/ipod/support. Anyone have any idea why this happens and if it can be stopped? Is there any way that the album artwork slows everything down and causes the problem?

My ipod is still not working right. I've tried everything. I had recently started using an external hard drive to store itunes when the problems began. Is it possible that my music is not transferring correctly from the Ex. H.D. to my ipod.Some songs play fine one time, then don't the next. Any suggestions at all would be most appreciated. Please help, I really miss my ipod.

hello, i am having a problem with my iPOD and am wondering if any insitfuls can give me some info. The problem is that, i will start playing my ipod and after about 20-30 mins the song its playing starts to skip, then it freezes changes over to the next song, take like 30 seconds for it to even start playing, then 30 seconds in to the new song it starts to skip and repeats the whole process. i have already re flashed the firm and re up loaded all the songs back on. but it still has the problem.... anything would be useful, my warrenty is up so i am hopeing not ot have to pay. I have 30gb iPod video and it skips through all the songs and then goes back to the menu. Occasionally I can get it to stop skipping through and play part of one song. I have reset it several times. Also, when I plug it in to the computer it appears in iTunes as the name of my iPod Nano. I really don't want to lose all the songs on my iPod because it was my sister's iPod and she recently passed away. Most of the songs on here she put on and I don't want to lose those songs... Is there a way I can get the songs off my iPod onto my computer and then restore the iPod? Or is there a good way I can fix the problem?

that can be caused by a Windows drive letter confusion. are the techniques from this document of any help with that?

Ipod touch is skipping and changing songs on its own

My ipod touch skips like a scratched cd and changes songs on its own when i am outside with it. I usually take it to the pool and listen while i'm laying out but recently it started doing this. I don't let sunlight hit it directly i have it covered by my leg or a towel. When i come home it starts working again. Is this a common problem and i cannot take it outside when it is hot, or do i have a defective one?

- Do you have the headphones with a remote? Sometime there is problems with sporatic signals from the remote especially with moisture/high humidity.

Ipod skipping to next song and getting worse, have done 5 r's 3x HELP!

I have a click wheel ipod that has worked fine for years. However, since I have transferred everything from Windows to my imac, it seems like my ipod has a virus...it skips from one song to another and then it seems to be more and more songs and albums as time goes by. Progressive, you know? Like a virus? I have followed all the directions I could find on this site and done the 5 R's three times now.
So, I'm at a loss, please help!

Okay my situation, my buddy has a PC ipod, I have a Mac and Mac Ipod. He bought the wrong adapter for his adapter and we charged his ipod on my computer. I didn't sync his up, just charged it.
Well poor guy goes out for a run and his ipod is shuffling through every song before it even plays a note.
Any ideas? Did we kill his ipod?
