Replacement keyboard screws for S100 -- where to buy?

yesterday I upgraded the RAM in my S100 (what a nuisance!) when I put it back together, I re-used those tiny nylon-coated screwed, but they are pretty well worn out, so I really feel I need to replace them. however I don't see a part number, and Googling "M2.0 × 1.7 mm, flat-head, nylon-coated screw" mostly returns me to the Lenovo manual. anyone have a part number, a third-party source for these, or a way to get them from Lenovo (can't imagine how much they'd charge)?

  • What are the best specs when building a PC for video & where to buy in US?

Our current video machine has died - a problem we have constantly battled over the years with our video machines, primarily from the heat generated in the system. These have been spacious, well spec'd out desktops, so while I'm budget concious I thought I'd reach out for advice before going ahead. The biggest problems occur when  rendering video, esp. larger files.
Also, I'm visiting the US for a few weeks, so that opens up some new possibilities (it's common to see much better pricing for systems in Canada than the US.)
    So my questions are two-fold.
    1) What would you recommend for buying a PC video machine today, while still on a budget? I would normally look for a higher end i7 processor, 16 Gb DDR3 ram, dedicated video card, ASUS motherboard with raid 0/5 and a couple of decent sized harddrives (not striped... had terrible experiences with my striped drives in the past). In particular, what would you recommend on the video card front for the best value/performance while not creating issues with heat (this is where I've had problems with a number of machines in the past)? In terms of harddrive management, are there some better options now for handling real time editing and rendering? (I would like to connect the 2 harddrives from the machine that has failed to the new machine.)
    2) I'm in Ft. Myers, FL for the next couple of weeks... what are some good options for either having a machine built or getting the parts to build myself? (I don't need an OS, but will install Win 7 Pro myself.) Normally I'd look to TigerDirect or CanadaComputers for a new system.
My main use for the machine will be Premiere/After Effects, with some Photoshop/Illustrator.
Any other advice/input on how to optimize the machine so that I don't have HDD issues and other isssues from overheating would be appreciated. Please keep in mind, I'm on a budget (which means I'd ideally like to spend between $800-$1300). :-)
    Thanks!
    Julie

  • Might have lost a keyboard screw for x201

i think i might have lost one of 4 of the screws securing the keyboard. It doesn't make a difference, but these small things bother me lol. I saw on ebay a lot of screw kits for the x200 but none for the x201. My question is, do they use the same screws at least for the keyboard? I don't think it would be practical to call warranty for a little screw would it? lol
    Thanks

the x200 and x201 uses the same screw and parts.
warranty won't send out the screw to you unless it is them that caused this problem.

  • Ready for upgrade, where to buy?

My husband and I are eligible and ready to upgrade our iPhones (3 and 3GS, respectively) to the iPhone 5 whenever it's released. Previously, we've bought our phones from the ATT store, but I'd like to know whether I can purchase our new phones from the Apple Store and still receive upgrade pricing. If so, how does this work? Do I stand in line with the crazies on opening day, or do I order the phones from Apple.com?
    TIA,
    LZRandall

I don't believe Apple sells their iPhones at upgrade prices if eligible.  You'll have to go to your provider to receive those benefits.  Once released, you can either go to the provider's store or order online.  I don't know the complete details since the phone isn't released.

I also found this ordering page as well. http://h20141.www.2.hpparts/default.aspx?mscssid=AEC685FE9D1149C7BCECFAB752    P/N:  511400-ZH1 S/N: {Removed for privacy}  P/N: 0K03-00660H2  These numbers are for orginal keyboard and mouse set for HP Touchsmart 600-1050. This was ship to me from HP Direct Support about five months a go. The complete set for my replacement of faulty keyboard. Some time an on line operator will drop down and will ask you for if need assistant as well.

I use Mozilla Firefox Explorer  to connect to HP website. Try this page and see what happens and you have the phone number as well.

  • Replacing keyboard on Satellite L350

A clumsy friend of mine spilt a glass of red wine over my L350 at the weekend which has resulted in my keyboard malfunctioning.
No problem, I thought, should be easy to get a replacement and fit it.
However, as I've taken the original keyboard from the laptop I'm worried that I've damaged the connection and that my replacement won't work when it arrives.
Basically, the black part of the connector has broken - does anyone know if this is considered part of the laptop or will come with a replacement keyboard?
Any idea where I can get a replacement for the black part if necessary.
    Any advice would be fantastic.
    Thanks.

With new keyboard you will not get such parts.
Does it looks like as shown on THIS picture?
You know, many people here are frustrated and angry when I write that such stuff should be done by authorized personal only and you are best evidence what can happen when people try to exchange hardware on its own.
What you can do is to contact nearest service and ask if they can help. Maybe they have some old broken notebook and can give you this small part. Second solution is to buy defective motherboard on eBay and use this part on your motherboard.
I dont know man, sometimes is everything so complicated but I hope you will find solution for this.

  • P20: Where to buy compatible miniPCI WLan card?

This model does not come standard with the 802.11 a/b/g wifi module and Toshiba doesnt stock so I need to know if there is guaranteed replacement or if anyone knows where to buy. It is Part Number K000007500.
I think I downloaded the driver from toshiba but no way to know withot mini pci lan card.
    Thanks, Andrea

    Hi
As far as I know the card you mentioned in your posting is just a/b one. I have found info that WLAN compatible cards for P20 are:
    PA3212U-4MPC (Agere 802.11b)
    PA3273U-2MPC (Atheros 802.11ab)
This unit is about three years old and at this time there was no WLAN cards with g standard. In my opinion you should contact service partner in your country and pick up info about WLAN card compatibility. Other way you can check if you can fins something under http://eu.computers.toshiba-europe.com/cgi-bin/ToshibaCSG/generic_content.jsp?service=EU&ID=ONLINE_SHOP
