Replacement of broken lcd display screen

Hi
I dropped my iphone 4 and the lcd display screen is broken.
While i am still able to use the phone, not sure if we can have this replaced.
I purchased the phone while in Sydney, Australia but have now relocated to Chennai, India.
Would be grateful if someone can advise whether it can be replaced, whether apple store have this facility or whether we get the original screen outside

Maybe have your screen replaced by Lenovo Support. Replacing a tablet LCD can be tricky maybe.

Anywhere you can find it via the obvious Google search. It won't be from Apple, but will be a generic replacement.
Why are you throwing away any future chances of out of warranty replacements when you drop or drown it? Apple will give you a warranteed replacement phone for $199 (in the US, roughly the same in your country)

E90 BROKEN COVER DISPLAY SCREEN

Dear Friends, the display cover screen on my E90 is cracked accidentally, someone had told me I need to replace the entire LCD which is quite expensive. Could anyone out there advise me on a low cost solution this ???

a bit releived to hear that the LCD is actually covered with a glass sheet...now i am sure its the glass cover which is broken. The phone is working fine otherwise...

Replacement of powerbook LCD display

I am using an "old" powerbook G4 which has completely satisfy me until it unfortunately fell from my desk. Now my LCD display seems to be dying slowly, with a lot of mutlicolor lines on almost a third of the screen and an entire dead pixel's zone at the bottom right corner of my display. Plus a black spot, pretty like a solar eruption.. It could be artistic if it was not ruining my display. So I have got simply 3 basic questions:
- Can I fix these damages?
- If not, where can I get a new display (near Geneva, Switzerland) and is it worthwhile to pay for it replacement?
- How much will it approximately cost me?

Yeah, that sounds like the wires through your display hinge might be getting pinched. I'd take it to the Genius Bar.

Replacing a broken LCD?

I have a Powerbook G4 Titanium 15" 867, the screen is damaged (black shapes/coloured lines). Is it a nightmare trying to change it myself? If I do where can I find the best guide to replacing it? And when I buy a replacement screen do I have to be very careful which screen I buy or are displays pretty much standard for 15" Titanium G4s?

Hi, Andy, and welcome to Apple Discussions. The DVI Tibooks all use the same 1280 X 854 LCD display assembly. Earlier Tibooks without the DVI port all use 1152 x 768 displays, and you won't want one of those.
Replacing the display is a complex, fiddly piece of work. A highly competent general do-it-yourselfer equipped with the few essential tools will have no trouble; a duffer with ten thumbs and whatever screwdrivers he finds in the kitchen junk drawer will very likely ruin his Powerbook. Excellent illustrated instructions for removing the display are here. Read them all the way through before beginning, then follow them carefully. Good luck!

Apple does not sell parts to the public and does not provider parts numbers. You will have to use the internet to find either a used or OEM replacement. Start with http://www.ifixit.com.

External LCD Display & Screen Spanning

Hi All
I need to connect an external LCD display to my iMac G5 1st Gen computer.

Just had another good look at the back of the external LCD and it has got both VGA and DVI ports on it. Which will get the best results do you think?

As you can see, the card is a GeForce FX 5200. The web site refers to iMac G5's with GeForce FX 5200 Ultra cards and not the GeForce FX 5200. (My iMac is a Rev A machine).
Do you think this will cause issues? I need to run the iMac and the LCD at a show for my company and I am a bit concerned that I might end up with a Mac with no working display. Is that likely?

Broken LCD touch screen

I have a HP Slatebook 2 in 1 that has a broken touch screen display. The screen still shows images but the touchscreen no longer works. I'd like to replace the it but I'm having trouble finding a local company in Denver CO. who can do this.
I'm not a "techy" type person so trying to do this myself is not an option.

Is the MacBook LCD physically damaged? Physical damage is not covered by the Terms and Conditions of your limited warranty.
If the MacBook LCD is flawed or defective then it's replacement would be covered by your limited warranty.

WANTED: MBA broken LCD display unit

I recently bought a used MBA 1st generation with broken hinges. I took it apart to repair it myself before I learned that Apple was offering free repair service, sometimes even after warranty. I bought new hinges, put the machine back together, and... no video. Actually, the backlight works, but the signal is scrambled. There was some damage to the video cable where it passed through the hinges, but it looked to me like just some tears in the outer sheathing instead of the wiring itself... wrong, apparently.
Short story... I don't think Apple is going to do anything for me at this point. The video cable isn't available separately, so I am hoping that I can score a broken display from which I can rob the video cable. Maybe someone here has some ideas for me...?
