  • What can i replace an iframe with? (Death to double scroll bars!!)

So the site I'm working with has a ton of links all directed to an iframe.  The iframe is set to a fixed size and will not expand/contract with the linked content so i end up with two scroll bars.
    Here is the web site.
I was hoping for a 'quick' fix to replace the iframe with some kind of object that the links could dump their pages to that would expand the length of the site as needed.
Any help would be much appriciated!!
    Thanks!

Use Server-side includes for common headers, menus and footers.  Or build a DW Template file (dwt) and use it to spawn new site pages.

  • Attach_file_to_response kills iframe content

    Hello,
I have a WDA application using an iframe. I fill the iframe by using an object of if_http_response and add this object to the server cache: cl_http_server=>server_cache_upload. This works perfectly fine.
I added a button in order to save the content of the iframe localy to the hard drive.
The problem is when I try to use cl_wd_runtime_services=>attach_file_to_response the iframe shows (right after the save dialog shows up):
    >Action canceled
    >Internet Explorer was unable to link to the Web page you requested. The page might be temporarily unavailable.
The url which I use for the iframe source is still working and the content is still in the server cache avaiable.
I would re-build the iframe but I don't get any trigger like the wd_modify or so after I called cl_wd_runtime_services=>attach_file_to_response.
Any help is appreciated and there is no way to replace the iframe. This is not an option.

    Hi,
How did you convert the table of Hexadecimel values to Xstring??
I am also facing the same problem as my requirement is same as you.
The i_content in attach_file_to_response method is a structure and i am getting the values in a table (Hexadecimal Values). I tried with looping the Hexadecimal table into a structure. After executing it gives the error as "The file is corrupted and it cant be opened".
Can you help me with this.
    Thanks in advance.

  • Alternative to UI Element IFrame

    Hi,
does anyone know if there is an alternative of using the IFrame UI Element since it is deprecated now?
I want to use an external application, with a specific URL, within my WebDynpro View.
    Any help is really appreciated.
    Best regards,

    Hi,
SAP suggested replacement for IFrame is Iviews.
To use ECPM you need to have the iviews.

  • Edge Animate .oam files taking a long time to load or not loading at all?

    http://pierosalardi.businesscatalyst.com
Is there a way to correct this? I have exported this Muse Site and uploaded into my server and the same thing is happening: http://pierosalardi.com/animate/ Its taking to much time to load the .oam files and sometimes they do not load at all.
This is a screen shot after reseting Safari and going to the site. If you see, there is no logo on the up right hand corner, or the icons at the bottom of the page
This is another screenshot after reloading the site. Some how all the .oam files came together but only after reloading the site.
Is there a way to correct this? I saw in another post that needed to replace the iFrame on the Muse html file and replace it with the html code generated by Edge.
    Couldn't get it to work.

    Hey Piero,
Love your site! I'm not seeing the loading issue, but I'm also on a fast connection so that might be it.
Took a look at the source - it looks like each button is it's own individual OAM file, which increases your load time due to the extra requests the browser has to make to load everything. Have you tried consolidating the left and right button groups into two Animate projects instead of having a seperate one for each button? This may solve your loading problems.
You can copy and paste between projects inside of Animate so aggregating the buttons into one file should be pretty snappy.

  • BEx Query Designer - Execute pops up blank Internet Explorer session

    Hi gurus,
From BEx Query Designer, I choose Execute, and it pops up a blank Internet Explorer window rather than the query.  It says about:blank in the URL and the page is white.
I read some posts that say to run RSPOR_SETUP, but I don't have a Java system or Portal system so does that still apply to me?  I want the URL that pops up to point to the BW system which is an ABAP system.

    Hi,
Please note that Java stack is mandatory for running Queries in web side
or for executing the Queries using Transaction RSRT -> Java Web or
for executing the Queries using Query Designer in Release 7.x .
So, please install Java stack and use BI Java components for running
    Queries in web side here.
Also, please refer the following note for details:

The interface is a little bit different now, but the installation
steps still follow the same logic as SAP NetWeaver 2004s.
You can use manual steps to set up integration as per note 917950.
Also, please don´t use report RSPOR_SETUP for configuration check

The report has been replaced by the support desk tool.
Please have a look at note '937697 - Usage of

RSPOR_SETUP is obsolete in BI 7.x release and Supportdesk tool should
    be used in 7.x release.

  • 6.2 64bit windows end of life

What is the end of life (mainstream maintenance) for 6.2 64bit windows?

    Hi Jeff,
If you check the more information tab in the PAM matrix for WebAS 6.20, you will find the following information.
+Installing the Java Add-In for SAP Web AS 6.40 in SAP Web AS 6.20
Releases 6.30 and 6.40 introduced a lot of radical changes to the Java part of the SAP Web Application Server. For example, the clustering architecture was completely overhauled and remodeled using the concepts that had proved successful on the ABAP side. With SAP Web AS Java 6.30, the supported J2EE standards switched to the popular version J2EE 1.3; at the same time, the former Java development environment was replaced by the SAP NetWeaver Developer Studio, which is integrated with the open-source platform Eclipse.
SAP Web AS Java 6.20 will not be maintained beyond 2006
Another important consideration was Sun’s decision to only maintain the Java Development Kit (JDK) 1.3 until the end of 2006. SAP Web AS Java 6.20 is invariably tied to this JDK, and therefore SAP will not be able to maintain SAP Web AS Java 6.20 beyond this point. Since the support for SAP Web AS 6.20 must - and will - continue until 2009 according to SAP’s general maintenance strategy, we needed to find a replacement for the Java part of this version of SAP Web AS.
We recommend using SAP Web AS Java 6.40 with SAP Web AS ABAP 6.20
For of all these reasons, we want to enable customers to upgrade from SAP Web AS Java 6.20 to SAP Web AS Java 6.40 as soon as possible. Therefore, we have decided to support combined installations of SAP Web AS ABAP 6.20 and SAP Web AS Java 6.40 as of January 2006. Consequently, we provide a new set of installation CDs/DVDs for customers who want to insert the “J2EE Add-In” into existing ABAP-only installations SAP Web AS 6.20: These CDs/DVDs are now based on SAP Web AS Java 6.40. You can download them from the Software Distribution Center at:
&#1048707; http://service.sap.com/swdc &#1048774; Download &#1048774; Installations and Upgrades &#1048774; Entry by Application Group &#1048774; SAP NetWeaver &#1048774; SAP NetWeaver Components ( < SAP NW 04 ) &#1048774; SAP WEB AS
The installation requires that you have done the following:
&#1048707; Installed the downward-compatible kernel for SAP Web AS 6.40 as described in SAP Note 664679,
&#1048707; Installed all hot packages up to number 41, and
&#1048707; Upgraded your database to a recent version (the minimum version is 7.5.0.18 for MaxDB, 9.2.0.3 for Oracle, and V8 Fixpak 7b for DB6).
The procedure for installing the J2EE Add-in is described in the "Installation Guide - SAP Web AS Java 6.40 SR1”. You will find the version for your database and operating system at:
&#1048707; http://service.sap.com/instguidesnw04 &#1048774; Installation &#1048774; SAP Web AS SAP Web AS 6.40 SR1 and Related Documentation

  • Comaprision between 11.5 and 12.0

    Hi ;
    Can anyone help me in:
Comparitive analysis between the xMII versions 11.5 and 12.0
Limitation if any in any of the versions.
System Requirement for both the versions.
    Upgradation from 11.5 to 12.0.
    Mudit

    Mudit,
Have you considered referencing the public help documentation for the two version?  <a href="http://help.sap.com">http://help.sap.com</a>  (under xApps)
I see that you are a partner, which may also give you access to the Online Knowledge Product (OKP) for the learning maps for both product versions.
By far the biggest fundamental change between 11.5 and 12.0 is that 12.0 now runs on NetWeaver 2004s (WebAS Java stack only) and uses the User Management Engine (UME), instead of Microsoft Windows IIS / ServletExec.  Along with the platform change the file system storage for configuration and content objects has been replaced with the backend NetWeaver database.
There is an upgrade guide <a href="http://service.sap.com/instguides">http://service.sap.com/instguides</a> that goes with the migration tool for upgrading content from 11.5 to 12.0.

  • DWCC2014.1 - When Inserting an Image, all code is wiped and replaced with HTML framework containing an iFrame

I recently upgraded to DW CC 2014.1 on my Mac - which caused me a number of issues. But the one I'm facing right now is very strange.
Whenever I try to insert an image - either via the shortcut, or through the top level dropdown dialogue - when the file browser comes up, all of my HTML code disappears, to be replaced with a starter template and an iframe. This happens about 90% of the time - but it sometimes works correctly, and I can't figure out why it does work that 10%.
Usually, I can just cancel the file browser and Undo to get my code back. But occasionally that doesn't work (and neither does Revert), and I have to close the document and re-open to my last save.
Here's what appears when my code vanishes:
Anybody know what's happening here? I don't use any specially created shortcuts. I've run into several issues with 2014.1 that have impacted my productivity, and it's getting increasingly frustrating.

I am experiencing the same issue.
    Environment: Mac Pro 6,1/OS X 10.9.5/DreamWeaver CC 2014.1 6947 Build
    Relevant software: DefaultFolder X 4.6.10 (16690)
    Steps:
    1) Position cursor on its own line in Code panel of Split View.
    2) Press Cmd+Option+I [OR] select Insert > Image > Image
    3) Navigate to image using file browser
    4) Click OK
    5) Repeat the above steps to insert a second image
    Result with DefaultFolder X active:
    1) The first insert completes as expected [OR] all HTML code between opening and closing body tags disappears, and a frame tag with a source attribute pointing to the file itself is inserted after the closing head tag
    2) For subsequent inserts:
If the first insert completed as expected: If the cursor is indented from farthest-left,  all HTML code between opening and closing body tags disappears, and a frame tag with a source attribute pointing to the file selected in the first insert appears after the closing head tag. If the cursor is not indented, *most* subsequent attempts will reproduce the issue
If the first insert produced the issue: all subsequent inserts will reproduce the issue, and the frame source will be the file itself
    Result with DefaultFolder X disabled:
    1) The first insert completes as expected [OR] all HTML code between opening and closing body tags disappears, and a frame tag with a source attribute pointing to the file itself is inserted after the closing head tag
    2) For subsequent inserts:
If the first insert completed as expected: If the cursor is indented from farthest-left,  all HTML code between opening and closing body tags disappears, and a frame tag with a source attribute pointing to the file itself, no matter what file is selected in the file browser dialog, appears after the closing head tag. If the cursor is not indented, *most* subsequent attempts will reproduce the issue
If the first insert produced the issue: all subsequent inserts will reproduce the issue, and the frame source will be the file itself

    A. by decreasing the maximum number of processes and sessions in the database.
    B. by using the Oracle Enterprise Manager (or DBA Studio), decrease the process
    numbers
    C. by increasing the maximum number of threads and logs in the database.
    D. by increasing the maximum number of processes and sessions in the database.

    A. the user ID and password are transmitted in plain text using HTTP POST
    B. it takes longer hours to update the LDAP server
    C. it requires additional configuration steps to enable CHAP
    D. SAP does not support Single Sign-On with user ID and password
    Question 1 Explanation:
For SAP Enterprise Portal, the load-balancing solution should ensure session persistence,
or “stickiness.” This means that all requests of a specific user in a single session are
forwarded to the same server. Stickiness is achieved at initial logon, by linking to the IP
address and local port of the load-balancing system. If one node fails, the other servers
assume the tasks of the failed node without any pause in operation or loss of information.
    Question 2 Explanation:
Portal Content Directory (PCD) is a file system which stores roles and role components,
and page-to-role relationships. It also stores deployable (PAR) and master iViews
(written in Java) with their personalization data and derivations (Java iViews, External
Services). The PCD stores a copy of the page catalog.
    Question 3 Explanation:
The portal server needs read/write access to its PCD file system.
    Question 4 Explanation:
Roles are maintained with the Role Editor in both SAP Enterprise Portal 5.0 and 6.0. The
Role Editor is a Web-based tool for creating roles and hierarchies and for assigning
content objects to roles. In EP 5.0, the Role Editor is a central tool which can be used to
create and edit External Services, master iViews and worksets as well as roles. Other
editors are available for the administration of pages and iViews. In EP 6.0, the Role
Editor is embedded in the central administration environment for the development and
administration of content: the Portal Content Studio. This administration environment can
be used to call all editors for the creation and administration of content, including the
Role Editor. Only roles can be created and edited in the Role Editor.

    Question 5 Explanation:
Authentication provides a way of verifying the user’s identity before he or she is granted
access to the portal. Once the user has been authenticated, he or she is issued a SAP
logon ticket that allows him or her to access all the applications, information and services
in the Enterprise Portal using Single Sign-On. Since many of these applications may
contain sensitive data, it is imperative that the user in question can be identified and this
    identity authenticated.
The process of authentication is based on each user having a unique set of credentials for
gaining access. For example, with user ID and password authentication, the
authentication server compares a user’s authentication credentials with other user
credentials stored in a data repository. If the credentials match, the user is granted access
to the Enterprise Portal. Otherwise, the authentication fails and portal access is denied.
The Enterprise Portal 5.0 offers the following integrated authentication mechanisms:
    • Authentication with User ID and Password
    • Authentication with X.509 digital certificates
    • Authentication using external mechanisms
    ¡ Windows 2000 authentication
¡ Authentication Against User Data in SAP R/3 System
¡ External Web access management tools, such as Netegrity SiteMinder
¡ COM interface allowing you to use any kind of external authentication service
Note that you must use one method of authentication for all users. The only exception is
authentication with digital certificates. Digital certificates can be used as an additional
method of authentication. This means that users that have a client certificate use it to log
on while other users have to provide credentials using a different authentication
    mechanism.
    Question 6 Explanation:
The recommendation is that do not place more than fifty (50) objects in a single folder.

    • CPU utilization
    • Utilization of physical disks and file systems
    • Resource usage of running processes

    Question 10 Explanation:
User access to content is determined by Role definitions. A portal role is a collection of
content. While portal content is developed to enable access to information relevant to the
organization in which the portal is deployed, roles define the subset of content available
to each functional role within the organization. Users are assigned to the role or roles that
provide content relevant to them. A user has access to the content that has been assigned
to all of his or her roles.
    Question 11 Explanation:
J2EE Engine cluster is a set of independent nodes that are addressed and managed as a
single system. The cluster consists of two types of nodes: dispatchers and servers. The
administrator of the system determines the number of dispatchers and servers in a cluster.
Each dispatcher node is connected to all server nodes in the cluster and each server node
maintains connections to all other cluster nodes. Clustering enables dynamic load
balancing by distributing client requests among the server nodes in the cluster, thereby
providing higher scalability and improved system performance
    Question 12 Explanation:
Users and passwords are defined in the directory server. To enable those users and
passwords for portal logon, you must define a security configuration, using the portal
tools. However, in order to do so, you need to log on to the portal. The first time you log
on to the portal, you log on as a default, predefined user, called admin, using the default
password, admin. After you have defined a security configuration, you may continue to
log on as user admin, or you may log on with the user information defined in the
    directory server.
The admin/admin logon provides you with access to the portal as a fully qualified superadministrator.
Note that administrator access is enabled via Microsoft Internet Explorer browsers only.
There is no administrator access via Netscape browsers.
    Question 13 Explanation:
Load balancing is dividing the work of one computer among several computers so that
more work gets done in the same amount of time and all users get served faster. You can
implement a hardware or a software load balancing solution.
    Question 14 Explanation:
The role definition determines the navigation structure within the portal. The navigation
structure consists of the top-level navigation bar, and the detailed navigation tree. The
top-level navigation bar is a series of tabs in the title area of the portal header. A user
navigates portal pages and services by clicking tabs in the top-level navigation bar.

    Question 15 Explanation:
When the user performs a Drag&Relate action in the front end, the client sends a HRNP
(hyperrelational navigation protocol) request to the Unification Server through HTTP.
The Unification Server resolves the relationship between the drag source and the drop
target, and queries the database and/or applications to determine the record set. Then it
redirects the result set to the Portal Server and launches the screen which appears in the
    browser.
    Question 16 Explanation:
If you are using basic authentication, we strongly recommended that you set up the
browser and portal Web server to communicate using Secure Sockets Layer (SSL).
Otherwise users‘ credentials will be transmitted in clear text.
    Question 17 Explanation:
The SAP System has Release 4.0B or higher. SAP logon tickets are not supported in
    releases lower than 4.0B.
    Question 18 Explanation:
Reverse Proxy Filter enables the portal to do the following:
    • Check all HTTP requests coming to the portal platform.
    • Distinguish between the following HTTP requests to the portal: those coming from
external sources, such as the Internet and outside the firewall of an enterprise, and those
coming from internal sources, such as the intranet within the firewall.
    • Replace the scheme, host, and port number in an HTTP request.
    • Respond to more than one domain name using different proxy servers.
    Question 19 Explanation:
An iView is handled differently by Enterprise Portal depending on whether it is invoked
from an Internet Explorer or Netscape browser. In Internet Explorer, each iView in a
portal page is contained in an iFrame. Each iFrame is a distinct container, independent of
the other containers. In Netscape, each iView is contained in an HTML table. When
multiple iViews are displayed in a portal page in Netscape, you are actually viewing a
single HTML page formatted into HTML tables.
    Question 20 Explanation:
Content Admin tab provides the tools for creating portal-related content, such as roles,
    iViews, pages, Web components.
    Question 21 Explanation:
Portal applications are configured according to the logger.xml configuration file. Various
portal applications place information into different log files. SAP recommend that you set
log levels in production environments to WARNING or ERROR.

server in both directions: inbound calls (Java calls ABAP) and outbound calls (ABAP
calls Java). So, SAP JCo realizes communication between the ABAP and the J2EE
environments that can be used in SAP Web AS.
    Question 23 Explanation:
You use the cryptographic tool SAPGENPSE to generate a keystore in which you can
store a certificate. You only need this keystore for storing the root certificate of the portal
Web server. It is therefore not necessary that you send the generated certificate request to
    your CA.
    Question 24 Explanation:
The entire portal administration is performed using administration roles contained in the
standard content of the portal. The administration roles contain all the functions possible
    for portal administration.
The standard delivery of SAP Enterprise Portal 6.0 contains four administration roles, all
of which subdivide the existing administration tasks into the following four groups:
    • Super Administration (containing all administration tasks)
    • Content Administration
    • System Administration
    • User Administration
    Question 25 Explanation:
You implement the Knowledge Management (KM) platform of the Enterprise Portal to
enable unstructured content management, and sophisticated search and retrieval
functionality over unstructured content in disparate information repositories. The
knowledge management platform also provides collaboration functionality, such as
sending messages, annotating documents, and setting up discussion groups.

    Question 27 Explanation:
The Enterprise Portal iView interface enables you to create and manage portal channels
and iViews. When you open the interface, a list of iViews and channels is displayed,
along with a set of tools that let you create and maintain channels and iViews. In this
section, we describe the main functions of this interface.
iView Editor screen: (1) Search Tool, (2) Toolbar, (3) Channel List, (4) iView List
    Question 28 Explanation:
The user management component of the Enterprise Portal is an extensive application
programming interface (API) that allows iViews to read data from the corporate LDAP
directory and to read and write data to the portal LDAP directory. It also provides Single
Sign-On functions and Authentication of portal users against user repository.
    Question 29 Explanation:
Single Sign-On (SSO) is a key feature of the Enterprise Portal that eases user interaction
with the many component systems available to the user in a portal environment. Once the
user is authenticated to the enterprise portal, he or she can use the portal to access
external applications. With SSO in the Enterprise Portal, the user can access different
systems and applications without having to repeatedly enter his or her user information
    for authentication.
The Enterprise Portal SSO mechanism is available in two variants depending on security
requirements and the supported external applications:
    • SSO with SAP logon tickets
    • SSO with user ID and password
Both variants eliminate the need for repeated logons to individual applications after the
initial authentication at the enterprise portal. Whereas SSO with SAP logon tickets is
based on a secure ticketing mechanism, SSO with user ID and password forwards the
user’s logon data (user ID and password) to the systems that a user wants to call.
    Question 30 Explanation:
Channels, used to organize iViews into logical groups, are also assigned to roles. While every iView
must be assigned to a channel, not every iView is associated with a page. A user has access to the
iViews displayed on the pages in his or her portal. When personalizing portal pages, the user will also
have access to the iViews in the channels assigned to his or her roles.
    Question 31 Explanation:
There is a permissions concept for portal objects in SAP Enterprise Portal 6.0. It is valid for all objects
of the Portal Content Directory that can be maintained with a special editor (Permission Editor) in the
portal. Portal permissions mainly define the access rights of portal administrators to portal objects in
the Portal Catalog. The access permissions are implemented with the Access Control List (ACL)
    method.

    Question 32 Explanation:
In a load balanced landscape with multiple portal server installations the lock server is the portal
component that enables the components of the middleware layer to work concurrently with the
persistence layer, notably with the Portal Content Directory (PCD) and the database server.
The middleware layer is installed as clients that access the persistence layer and the shared resources.
Each middleware client must not interfere with other clients accessing and modifying the same
resources, therefore there is the need to implement a concurrent control mechanism.
The control mechanism is a synchronization process over TCP/IP at port 3299. Through the port, the
lock server identifies the specific process request coming from each middleware client. It then allows
access to the shared resources and the persistence layer. By so doing, each portal works with a
consistent view of the shared resources. Portals communicating with the lock server become the lock
    clients.
    Question 33 Explanation:
Web Dynpro is a browser-based, device-independent technology which provides a runtime and a
development environment for professional business Web applications. Web Dynpro delivers a
declarative meta-model to minimize the need to write programming code. From this abstract definition,
Web Dynpro generates code to create a ready-to-run Web application.
    Question 34 Explanation:
The Enterprise Portal includes two user management master iViews that you can modify to suit your
company’s requirements and integrate in the portal. These are:
    • Self registration master iView: Allows users, for example, external users that do not exist in the
corporate LDAP directory, to register themselves as portal users.
    • Change password master iView: Allows users to change their password and optionally other user
    data.
    Question 35 Explanation:
    For the portal cluster:
    • To guarantee proper portal functionality, external load-balancing solutions must always
implement stickiness, using either a source-IP or cookie-based distribution policy.
    • All machines in a portal cluster are covered by a license installed on any of them. However, for
high availability purposes, you should install a license on at least two portal machines,
although a license on each machine is recommended. In this case, if the machine with the
single license is stopped for more than an hour (the period of time during which the license is
cached), portal operation will not be interrupted.
    Question 36 Explanation:
My Pages tab contains the default Welcome page plus the pages assigned to all of the roles to which
the logged on user is assigned. My Pages display iViews, small applications designed to retrieve
    information from various information resources.

If you have a mixed system landscape including both SAP and non-SAP systems, we recommend
that you use a corporate LDAP directory as a primary store for central user data. Also use this
option if you have a large number of users in your system landscape.
In the above figure, a system running CUA is used to administer user data from several SAP
ABAP systems centrally. The user data from the CUA is synchronized with a corporate LDAP
directory. The UMEs of any standalone J2EE Engines are configured to use the corporate LDAP
directory as data source. Third-party systems can also access user data on the LDAP directory.
    Question 38 Explanation:
The Unification Server enables your Portal for Drag&Relate (hyperrelational navigation). This means
that you can relate business data across applications and/or databases for which you have installed a
unifier on your Unification Server. Moreover the Unification Server provides functions to display data
    from the installed database unifiers.

Make sure no one is currently using the database, as you must restart the database server.
To change the number of processes on an Oracle database server:
    1. From the Oracle program group in the Windows Start menu, go to Database Administration >DBA
Studio, and log on to your Oracle database using DBA Studio as user SYSDBA.
    2. Open the Database branch and choose: Instances > Database.
    3. Choose All Initialization Parameters.
    4. Scroll down the list of parameters to the processes property and increase its value (e.g. 150).
    5. Verify the increase with your DBA.
    6. Scroll down to the sessions property and increase its value to 1.2 multiplied by the number of
    processes.
    7. Choose OK and then Apply. You are prompted to restart the database server.
    8. Restart the IIS and the Oracle server.
    Question 40 Explanation:
When Single Sign-On with user ID and password is used, the user ID and password are transmitted in
plain text using HTTP POST. We strongly recommend that you protect the connections to the SAP
System using HTTPS or SNC to prevent the user ID and password being eavesdropped by an external
    party.
I hope it will help you.
Dont forget to award points if it looks useful.

  • Integrating a Java web application into the SAP NetWeaver Portal

    Hello experts,
We have a requirement to integrate a Java based web application into the SAP NetWeaver Portal using iView/iFrame technology. The Java based web application is completely independent from the SAP environment but should be displayed as part of the SAP Portal environment. The other requirement is the main navigation menu for the Java based web application should be configured and provided in the SAP Portal.
Any pointers on how exactly this can be done would be of great help.
Also how can the SSO (Single-Sign-On) to the Java application be implemented so that the user can logon to the java application through the portal without providing the user credentials again.
    Thanks in advance.

  • How do I link a google drive edge animate project to an iframe?

I have a simple edge animate project as a test. It has the following files in the root:
    edge_includes folder containing 3 images and edge.5.0.1.min.js
    project.html
    project_edge.js
I want to be able to have these files stored on google drive (or dropbox or alternative) and link to them through an iframe on my website. I've tried doing this by keeping the file structure the same on google drive and just referencing the shared link of the html file, but the project will not work.
I've also tried replacing the src links of the edge.5.0.1.min.js file and the image files to their shared links on the google drive. This didn't work either.
Is there any way to host the files externally and have them still reference each other properly so the html file can be linked into an iframe on a different site?
    Many thanks in advance
    Barry

Just to add the relevant requested information:
I am using the latest version of Edge animate (2014.1)
Google chrome (and IE desktop not metro as backup)
If anyone wants to see the file then I'm happy to link to it, but I don't think the question really warrants it.
    Thanks again.

  • Multiple iframes on One Page Trigger One from Another

So I am creating multiple animations on a single page. The page is a PHP page and was built long ago. I am just replacing some images with Edge Animate animations.
I want to do them in a sequence. So I was wondering if there was a way in the time line of one, to trigger the start of another? Each is going to be in an individual iframe. Which I know compounds the issue.
I thought of just putting some lead seconds in each of the animations so they sort of pause, but that would assume all of them load at the exact same time to keep the timing.
    Any help would be appreciated.

Due to browser security, I don't think it would be possible to have one iframe talk to another in the way you want.
Is there a reason you are using iframes instead of DIVs?
I created a simple demo of what I think you want to do here, but just using DIVs: http://thetraininggrounds.com/An-test/end-trigger-second-an/combined_an.html
What I did was start with two compositions. In the second one, at 0ms, I set a trigger of sym.stop(); to ensure this would not play until I told it to.
    In the first one, I set the complete event (i.e. when it's done playing) to start the second composition. I used the code: Edge.getComposition("EDGE-253701960").getStage().play();
You will, of course, need to substitute the actual composition ID for the one I included in getComposition.
Then it was simply a matter of including the preload .js file for both and the stage divs for both into the same page.
There is definitely more you can do, and I suggest checking out the API documentation for more info: http://www.adobe.com/devnet-docs/edgeanimate/api/current/index.html
    I hope this helps.
