Replacement of Screen

I have a Lenovo U410 Ideapad model 4376.  The screen is defunct--big line down it and half of image gone.  I need to replace the screen.
I have found screens on ebay but need advice on how to be certain the screen will fit.
Also how difficult iis it to remove and reinstall a new screen?
Jack

Welcome to the Lenovo Community !
The best way would be to remove your screen and look at the part number on the back.  Then compare that part number against what is being sold on eBay.  There are also sellers that offer Lenovo replacement parts with warranty.
If the model number you listed is the full model of your computer without any additional letters and numbers then check out what this seller has available.....

The Hardware Maintenance Manual for your model will explain how to disassemble the laptop. The link below is for your model's Hardware Maintenance Manual for your reference. When working inside your system please follow all precautions and recommendations that are noted in the manual.  The replacement isn't that difficult provided you are comfortable working inside a computer. Just take your time and don't force anything.

Here is a Lenovo Training Video that will explain and show you how to disassemble your laptop and replace the screen.  Check out the FRU section, various videos will show you how to remove and install hardware items in your system.

  • I purchased AppleCare if I replaced my screen do I still have it?

I got my iPad 4 about 3 months ago from school I've been having a lot of problems with it overheating to the point it makes my palms sweaty and my son would complain that it was hot  and it freezes all the time on me while I'm doing home work or school work i called apple customer service they sent me to the apple store then they just updated it and restarted it went home and my iPad was still the same the next day I called again because it was still overheating another person just restarted it and said it was normal but I don't think it's normal so he told me to buy the apple are plan it covers technical problems which is $85.00 it does not cover cracked screens water damage just technical the next day my books must have broken the screen or the heat and all the heavy books did I spoke to my school Dan since I got it through the school he said he couldn't do anything about it to take it to a store down the block and they fixed it for $150 I took it there because AppleCare does not replace cracked screens and the closes store is 1 1/2 away from where I live they fixed it brand new but the overheating and freezing keep going I called again and the lady said that she would tell them to give me another iPad under my warranty because I'm still in my warranty period  she gave me a case number and everything just have to go to the apple store I went in today they looked at it told me they were going to give me the iPad but then denied it because I replaced my screen he said I'm having this problem because I replaced the screen I told him I've been having this problem for a while now way before the screen cracked I told him I have AppleCare he said it doesn't matter I told him what if I call the apple store because I live far from here he said even if the apple customer service people say to give me a new one they won't because they already denied my service and I can't get my new iPad from there and that  the apple customer service representative can't go above what they say once again I'm back to square one with an overheating and freezing iPad and yes I've tried everything lowering the brightness shutting it off at night everything......I just want to know if I bought the AppleCare for technical problems and my screen cracked and I replace it myself do I still have it?

I understand the whole warranty thing but I do have the hardware repair coverage from them since I've been having these problems and bought that before the screen cracked I read my warranty it doesn't say anything about what I'm asking that's why I asked because I know I don't have the warranty anymore I'm asking about the hardware repair coverage.........and I'm not trying to argue with you kappy I'm just stressed out with all this ok

  • Problems after replacing LCD screen

I fell over and cracked the screen to my ipod nano 3rd gen. (also broke my arm but that was easier to fix!). Ive just bought a new lcd screen for it and followed all the directions on how to install it. The problem im having now is it all appears to be connected right but the screen just flashes white to black and beeps. It was only recognised on my laptop as "no name" not as an ipod. Could someone please help and let me know what i have done wrong? Before replacing the screen my ipod still worked perfectly. Thanks in advance!

Thanks man. I will take a look at it later on tonight and see what happens. From my understanding some of these LCD's have the airport built-in or is it the antenna? I think mine is one of those, But it looked like the antenna just runs on the side of the casing for the LCD display which is still intact as I only removed the actual LCD screen. I'm gonna see if the connector is in fact not pushed in all the way although I never touched it.

  • Am I able to replace the screen to my I touch

am I able to replace the screen of my ipod touch

Yes, but how much it costs depends on who you have fix or replace the iPod whether that be Apple or a third party repair company.  Apple doesn't actually repair the iPod, but exchanges it for a refurbished one of the same capacity and generation.  Here is pricing:http://www.apple.com/support/ipod/service/prices/
Google for third party service centers who can and will actually repair the device for a price that is a bit cheaper than what Apple charges.

  • Why I'm still getting a white screen after Replacing the screen on my iPhone

i just replaced the screen on my iPhone 4 but after I finished , im getting a white screen all the time

Did you replace the screen yourself? If so, then opening the device voids any post-warranty support from Apple, and from the forum. You will need to Google for help, since according to Apple, the iPhone does not have any user serviceable parts.

  • Replacing MBP screen - advice and recomended repair centres in London, UK?

The screen in my 3 year old MBP 15" is now so dim I can hardly see what I'm doing. Its got to the point where I either get the screen replaced with a new bright panel, or buy a whole new machine.
Having had a quick search on Google there are a few third party repair centres in London who could replace the screen with a new panel. The sort of costs I have been told so far are around £320.
    1. Has anyone else had their first gen screen replaced - was it a success and therefore worth the money?
    2. How much did it cost you?
    3. Can anyone recomend a repair centre in London who are reliable and professional. I don't want some kid with a screwdriver, ripping it to pieces!
    Thanks
    Mark

    Hi
the best thing to do (if you had the time), would be to go into the apple store in london, regent street etc and see what they recommend i know they have their own place to repair ipods etc. (i can't recommend any as i have been lucky enough to not have to repair my ipod. but try these links.

http://www.kingipod.com/ 7 - 10 buissness days but thats in the US they are cheap and offer free repair diagnosis and if they don't need replacement parts to fix your ipod they won't charge you. AND YOU CAN'T BUY PARTS TO REPAIR YOURSELF off them. and i have heard people recomend them
