Replacement of text symbols for shipment

Hello,
I need the program name and form to assign to my output type to be able to replace the text symbols in the condition record. For orders, the routine is text_symbol_replace in SAPMV45A but I can't find the correct program and form for shipment output.

...now the eMail subject is filled with PO-number and supplier-number as demanded ... and all just using SAP standard

Use
In order to analyse parameters in titles of e-mails or faxes, you have to store a special program and a form routine in the field FORM routine. System fields like SY-UNAME or SY-DATUM are are excluded from this: They will be automatically analysed by the system.
Example
On New Year's Day 2000, you send the purchase order 4711 by fax. The title of the corresponding output type is "Purchase order no. VBAK-VBELN on SY-DATUM" (put a "&" before and after the fields). In the outbound message you therefore have the output "Purchase order no. 4711 on 01/01/2000". The field VBAK-VBELN has been filled with global data by a form routine.

Need to Update SELECTION TEXT and text symbols for report J_1IEWT_CERT.

Hello Experts,
My requirement is need to "Update SELECTION TEXT and text symbols for report J_1IEWT_CERT".
1. As I want to change text sysmbols for 006 to "Run in preview mode". Currently it showing "Type of output". Issue I am facing here is that whenever I deleting aur changing the same it throws an error : "Text symbol 006 is an original text and cannot b
deleted or renamed". How can I do the same.
2. Secondly I have to add two selection text also i.e. ZFATHER and PREV . And delete two selection text i.e. P_PDF and
P_SCRIPT. In this Tab there is only a Icon of deleting not an Addition button .So How can I add two more selection text.
Above are Manual Activities which is written in note 1486147. We already taken an acess key and it shows in editable mode but
not able to add/deletin/modify selection text and text symbols.
Please provide the solution as it is critical requirement.

How to create new text symbols for the standard program.

Based on the customer's requirement, I need to create a new implicit enhancement for the selection screen.
I want to create new text symbols for the parameters and blocks, but I cannot change the standard ones.
Does anybody know something about that? Thank you.

Text symbol for automatic insertion of file and page data

In Visio I have a footer on my wireframe pages that includes text symbols referencing data about the file (document name, last edited) and also the number of the page. These symbols automatically update as the data changes. I can do something similar in InDesign and Word.
I cannot seem to find a way to do this in Fireworks. Perhaps I just don't know what the feature is called?

Apologies, but you weren't particularly clear on the problems you were having in your prior post, so I was just making sure you actually found the shapes.
You didn't ask about customizing the shapes either. If you had, we might have been able to save you the time. Auto shapes have very specific editable on-canvas features. The rest is controlled under the hood by JavaScript. It's quite likely that - had you opened the JS file - you could have made some of those edits. That's the cool thing about these shapes. You CAN change things.
I don't pretend to be a JS guru, but when I opened the JSF file, I was able to find the variables for changing font color, size, fill color and whether the text automatically expands to fill the box, in few minutes.
On the canvas, I can use the Subselection tool to change the width of the box and its fill, as well as the size of the text block. I can use the customize command for the shape itself to place each piece of information on a separate line.Will you get a warning message when you resize the rectangle? Yes, because you are altering the base parameters of an object controlled by JS. Does it have a negative impact on the shape? No.
As for autonumbering of Pages, I isaid that this is an automatic feature in FW. You have no control over it in the current version and as I said, I do not beleive the numbering is carried over to a PDF. Beside each page name you will see a 2 digit number - that is what I was referring to.
If you do not manually name your pages, FW will also name them onthe sequence in which they were created, Page 1, Page 2 etc. FW will NOT change that name if you change the order of the pages; it sill only update the sequence number.
As you said yourself, you are new to Fireworks. Don't throw in the towel because of one negative experience, which could have been resolved with more knowledge of the software, or additional questions in the forum. And remember that Fireworks is not just a wireframing tool; it is also a design tool.

PO by email "Replacement of Text symbol"

Hi All,
We have activated PO by email & for email subject in outlook we have done following settings.
In the output type "Replacement of Text we have kept programme "SAPMM06E" & Form routine "TEXT_SYMBOL_REPLACE" .
In the title we have kept "&EKKO-EBELN& &LFA1-NAME1&" PO number & the Vendor Name in the mail subject.
Now the problem is some time system is giving PO number correct but vendor name not as per the PO vendor.
PO is create with 5710000001 XYZ vendor name & the message subject will come 5710000001 ABC vendor.

In the title replace the exisitng one with &EKKO-EBELN& &EKKO-LIFNR& - &AM07M-NAME1&
Just give a try.
As u have referrred the table LFA1 without vendor in PO , therefore it might be displaying the first vendor name in the table.

Text Symbols for SMS Texting on 8600 Curve.

I have an 8300 Curve and am wondering if there is a way to get text symbols - like smiley faces for SMS texting? I can get for Blackerry Messenger but can't figure out if possible for regular texting. Thanks!

You enter them as you would on a keyboard....   such as a : ) for a smile, for sad, ;-) for a wink.
SMS is text-only. Some mobile devices convert those to actual images, the BlackBerry does not.

Insert symbols for an ion in pages. (i.e. Na+)

I manage to create the symbols I need by editing it manually. But it would be lovely to have pages edit (auto-correct) it into an elevated text/symbol for me.. or perhaps make a keyboard-shortcut for it?

You can add the superscript plus sign to Pages Preferences Auto-correction.
From the Edit menu, choose Special Characters... and a Characters window will open. If you do not have a Math Symbols category in the left nav of this window, select the gear in the window heading and customize list. A drop down list will appear and select Math Symbols and then the Done button.
Math Symbols will now appear in the Character window left nav. Select it and in the resulting window of Math symbols, scroll down to the second from last row. On the right, will be your Super Script Plus (ion) character. Select it for visual reference.
In Pages preferences > Auto-Correction Preferences, go the end of the choices and select ‘+’ to create a new entry. Double-click the Replace entry to select it, and type a normal + sign like this: [+]. The brackets are arbitrary delimiters. Now, double-click in the With column to select it. In the Characters window, you can now double-click that SuperScript Plus sign that you selected earlier. It will now be placed in the With box. Click the ”On” box for this auto-correction row and close Pages preferences and the Characters window.
Now, in Pages, type the following:
“The sodium ion is represented by Na[+].”
If you want this ionic auto-correct to work outside of Pages, you can duplicate the above activity in the System Preferences > Language & Text > Text auto-correction table.

What is a text symbol, what does it do (other than mess with my doc)?

I am working with FM8 in Tech Comm Suite 1 on Windows XP.
Some of my docs have text symbols sprinkled liberally throughout the text. I know you can select the option not to view the text symbols, but they still show up in FM and PDFs and RoboHelp and play havoc with the spacing.
What are text symbols?
What purpose do they serve?
How can you make sure they aren't inserted when creating a doc?
Is there any way to get rid of them easily?

To clarify, text symbols are one of FrameMaker's visual guides that can be optionally displayed in a FrameMaker document window to indicate the location of something else. A text symbol appears as a special character, but never prints or appears in PDF. However, the represented object may indeed affect the way the published document appears. As explained in the FM 9 User Guide, there are text symbols for an end of paragraph, end of flow, tab, anchored frame, table anchor, marker, forced return, equation alignment point, nonbreaking space, discretionary hyphen, and suppress hyphenation. You turn text symbols on and off with the View > Text Symbols command. Doing so does not affect the content of your document; it just helps you locate where the represented objects occur.
Thus, the problem you are having is not text symbols per se, but the object represented by a text symbol. As others have commented, the tab character can produce the observed results. Viewing text symbols can help you locate the tab characters. While tab characters can be inserted automatically in an autonumber or, in a structured document, in a prefix or suffix, they can also be entered from the keyboard, by pasting, or by converting a document that contains them from another format. You can find tabs that are not automatic using Edit > Find/Change. Type \t as the text you want to find. If you wish you can do a global change to remove all the tabs in the document or change them all to spaces.

Problem in transporting the text elements for user exit EXIT_SAPLV09A_002

Hi All,
I am facing a problem in transporting the text element (text symbol) for the exit EXIT_SAPLV09A_002. It is implemented and transported but the text elements are not transported and even if I try to delete them and then create them again, on activation it doesn't prompts for TO and it version its shows it as local object. I have tried to manually assign the TO by using limu as id of program and rept as type and SAPLXV09 as the name of the object but still it doesn't allows as an error message comes prompting local object cannot be assigned to TO. Kindly suggest solution this problem.

In the Quality after you run the report check in the layout option>display text elements> variables and check what value is displayed for the use exit variable , if it is correct then problem may be in the selection you gave when you run the report if the user exit variable value is wrong , then set a break point in the code and run the report from rsrt and check where the error is.

Text Symbol Translation Based on Customers Default Language

I have a task to translate the text in an email acknowledgement based on the Customer's default language. The email is just a basic report program. I have created Text Symbols for the text and created the various language translations. Is there any way to trigger the translations to occur based on the Customer's default language instead of the language of the User's sign on?

How do I replace a graphic symbol that contains text ... ?

How do I replace a graphic symbol ? It is actually made up of 3 layers including a textbox and bullet. When I double click on the symbol, I get the Text Properties menu.
When I single click on the symbol on the stage, the properties menu shows a Swap button. When I choose the correct symbol and click OK, it looks like it worked but it still shows the original symbol name (Instance of it) on this Properties menu.
Another issue is that when I change one of the symbols (by double clicking on the symbol and then double clicking on the text layer), it does change the text on that layer. However, then it changes the text on the other symbol as well even though they are different symbols.
Note that I can edit the original symbol and the new one. Both symbols are different. In other words, they each show the different text (which is what I want). It's like the original symbol is attached/embedded and cannot be changed.
Background on this issue: Rather than create a brand-new layer, I copied all the frames in a layer to a new layer because it has a motion tween on it. I only need to change the symbol that is in the motion tween. This is the only action/event happening on both layers.
This should be so easy... I have read many Q&As on this Forum and the Adobe Flash Help trying to figure this out. Thank you for your help.

It sounds like you have two symbols sharing another symbol. Since you mentioned "original" it would seem to be a case of duplication. Try creating each symbol separately without using one as a starting point for the other... or delete the part that changes for both in each instance and replace it separately in each instance with a new one.

How to fast replace text inside a program by its text symbol ?

I'm looking for a tip wich replaces the 'Hello world'(001) by text-001 inside my program. Is that possible to do this ?

Hi Sonia,
The notation Hello world'(001)' stands both for text literal 'Hello world' and text symbol text-001 . During logon the system checks the language and if there is corresponding text symbol in this language. If text-001 doens't satify this check, text 'Hello world' is displayed instead.
It is therefore highly recomended to leave that notation, because as the system wouldn't find text symbol it would display empty string, which must be avoided. It usually happens in selection texts, so sometimes you can see selection screen field without explanation text, but its technical name like i.e. PA_BUKRS.

Replacing marker text for sevral markers in one shot.

I can't change marker text (such as an index entry) by using the Find/Change dialog box. If FrameMaker finds the marker text I specify, and if I type different text in the Change text box and click Change, FrameMaker replaces the marker--not the marker text--with the text in the Change text box.
To change marker text, i use the Special > Marker command
I have loads of marker spread over several documents. It is not practical to change each and every marker text manually.
Basically i have marker with marker text in the format "gotolink xyz.pdf:abc". I would like to replace the marker text to "gotolink xyz.fm:abc".
The marker text varies for different markers but the bottom line is replacing pdf to fm.
Please help me as early as possible.

Damodar, The fastest way would be to do the search & replace in the MIF files using a text editor (such as UltraEdit or TextPad) or a regular expression tool such as grep or Funduc's Search&Replace. You would look for the statement: <MText `gotolink xyz.pdf:abc'> and replace appropriately. To batch convert all of the files in a book to MIF, you could use the trial version of mif2go available from Omni Systems at http://www.omsys.com

On the emoji keyboard. Go to Settings>General>Keyboard>Add Keyboard and select emoji. Then you will have a small globe key near the number key on the left side of the keyboard. This will allow for selecting between the regular keyboard and the emoji keyboard.
