Hi i need a power adapter for a HP dv5 1110em
please advise as there are many on the internet but some have the incorrect adapter on the end (that goes into the laptop)

Buying the right replacement power adapter for HP Envy

The original power adapter for my brother's HP Envy Touchsmart laptop has appears to have partially melted. I'm trying to find the correct adapter to use as a replacement, but I have questions because it looks like he will have to order one of the Smart adapters, which is not what he used originally. Replace power adapter for Tecra 8100

I have Tecra 8100 where its original power adapter has died. I need to buy a new one, but I found that Toshiba has replaced the PA2444U adapter model with a new model. Which power adapter model that is now compatible with Tecra 8100?

The Tecra 8100 will function with many adapters from Tecra 8000, 8200, 9000, 9100 and the M1, M2 range etc.
There are of course differences in the output current rating, but in practice it is still possible to use a higher output adapter without issue, provided the voltage is 15V DC.
For example, I am currently using a model PA2450U (15V, 3A) plugged into my Tecra 9100 port replicator and this works fine. The only potential down side is that it might take longer to charge the battery than it would with the correct model (which would be rated 4A).
This means you shouldn't have too much trouble finding a suitable substitute.

Replacement power adapter for 2008 MacBook Pro

Does anybody know if you can get a replacement power adaptor for the 2008 MacBook Pro. Mine crapped out and I'm freaking because the one they have for sale does not look like it will work, help PLEASE!!!!

If I think I know what your saying, it sounds like the store only had the Magsafe 2 connectors for the new model Macbook Pro's. The good news is yes stores still sell both Magsafe 1 and Magsafe 2 adapters. My advice would be to just take your adapter into the store and show the sales person what you need.

How to replace power adapter for PowerBook G4

I have a three year old powerbook G4 and the power adapter is toast (at least I think that's the problem). Doesn't charge and no illuminated ring around the connector to the computer.
Does anyone know how to replace this? Can't find it anywhere online or at Mac retailers.

Replace the power adapter plug? Most folks won't bother, it's a hassle. The whole adapter is easily available from any Mac vendor. But before replacing anything, have you tried the following:
-reset the Power Management Unit (PMU)

-unplug the power adapter from the wall socket for a while to reset.

Replacement power adapter for the ZenTouch 2

Can you believe someone stole my power adapter, but not the player itself? WTF?
Gotta love NYC. Anywho, I looked on the site here and did not see a power adapter listed for the ZenTouch 20GB. Anyone know if this exists or not? I saw one for the Zen Nomads, but they didn't list any of the ZenTouch models. Would appreciate some help on this.

Satellite A105-S4094 hed replaced power adapter after connector failure.

Now won't power up at all. New adapter checks out ok with vom. IF the battery is completely drained for long time will computer runjust off of the adapter?

Yes, it should work just with the adapter.
Turn off your laptop, unplug all wires, remove the battery, and hold the power button for thirty seconds. Afterwards, reattach the battery and connections. If it still won't start, remove the battery and start with just the AC power. Next try without the AC power and just the battery. Also, check that the RAM is inserted securely. Instructions can be found in your user's guide if you need.

HP Pavillion DV4 1123us power adapter problem

Hi,
After using the HP Pavillion DV4 1123us for two years suddenly I noticed that the power adapter is not supplying power to the computer and it is making some not too loud repeatitive sound. I replaced the power adapter with HP 90W Smart Power Adapter which worked fine for a few weeks and then I noticed whenever I connect this to the wall outlet it makes some repeatitive chirping sound and this is also not suppying power to the computer anymore. It behaves like this even when it is not connected to the laptop which indicates that there is some problem with the adapter and not with the internal powers supply of the laptop. It is so surprising that the replacement power adapter stopped working so early.
In my home all the other laptops are working just fine and and found all of them are two pin - only these two are three pin. Not sure if this has gota anything to do with this fault.
Any help on this matter will be highly appreciated.

Disfunctional Power Adapter

I just came back from approximately 2 hours away from my power adapter this evening to find the amber light was still on (not connected to anything). The adapter was plugged into my power bar, so I unplugged it and the amber light flickered out after a few seconds. I then plugged the adapter back in and connected it to my computer. The indicator light turned on green although I only had about an hour and a half battery life left, and the charge indicator at the top of my screen said (Not Charging). I unplugged everything again, and now the green light turns on on one side of the adapter without being connected to the computer, and does not charge my computer.
I have had my Macbook for a year and four months without any problems pertaining to the battery or power adapter.
Also, I tried to register for a technical support phone call, but my serial number is not recognized as a valid serial number.
Help!

Replacement AC Adapter - Output Discrepancy

I bought a replacement power adapter on ebay, the specifications for the non-apple replacement matched exactly. The one I received though is slightly different: output of 2.65A instead of 1.875A as stated on the original A1036 adapter. The vendor assures me this is acceptable, but I don't want to cook anything. Any thoughts? Thanks!

Well I'm sitting here on a 1.2 14" iBook and just read your post. I looked at my power adapter and it's a 65 Watt adapter outputting 24.5 Volts @ 2.65 Amps model A1021. Didn't realize I had one. I never even look at the Amp rating but the 65W A1021 is considered an upgrade from the A1036 and is usually more expensive. If you had a larger PowerBook it would require this adapter.
So upshot is I apparently have both ( about 5 all together ) and use both interchangeably. The iBook is not going to care how many Amps the adapter is capable of putting out. It will only use what it needs.

To answer your question: my power adapter is missing (from a move) and right now I am using a 1A power adapter from the old WRT54GL. The adapter for E3000 needs a 2A adapter.

Where buy Power Adapter for cheapest Zire

I have a Zire from a couple years ago, the cheapest one you can buy. So cheap it wasn't on display where you had to get a slip and ask customer service to get the item for you from the back. You could just get it off the shelf, it was so cheap. It think it was called Zire 1 or something. Where can I buy a replacement power adapter for it?
