Does anyone know where I can get a replacement power supply for my Inspire 4.1(4400) speaker system? It is a 2VAC 2.9A power supply.

I have the same speaker system but im afraid that i have fried the subwoofer. so i dont need the power supply any longer. I would be happy to let you have it for cheeper than you could get it at a electronics store. if you are interested then you can email me @ [email protected]
and we can discuss it.

Apple do not sell parts for the TC..
And do not allow their OEM to sell parts.
So you need to bypass Apple and create your own.
    Or fix the existing one.

I don't see anywhere on Dell's website to purchase this.

So far there is no replacement/upgrade PSU for Dell Optiplex 9020 MT from Dell.
Will a dedicated power supply work for playing games? i bought this system as used (excellent condition) just for Gaming Purpose (GTA V), now i am stuck with the PSU issue. I can alter the case to fit the big size GPUs, but the issue is of PSU.
Will ePower EP-450CD can help me in any way.
My main reason for changing PSU is to play my favorite game.

Should I check the memory cards themselves? Reseat them?
    Yes.
Memtest X or Rember to test the RAM.
    Reseat is also good.
The iPhone 4 doesn't like USB 1.1 much.
after the update the computer was working well, except for this freeze when ever I connect iPhone.
I'd try USB 2.0 PCI. That's how I connect my iPhone 4s, and have connected all iPhones and iPods, to my G4.
    Never an issue.
Can't say the same for USB 1.1.......
The above (previous post) linked PCI card is cheap enough.
    Want cheaper, try this:

  • Replacement power supply for Airport N base station?

I'm in need of a replacement power supply for an Airport Extreme N base station.
Is this something I can pick up at a friendly neighborhood Radio Shack, or do I need to order the OEM part from Apple?
I don't need the automatic international voltage switching, just something that can power this puppy with US AC. Thanks.

    Tom welcome to the discussions.
I would probably call the Apple number.
    1-800-MY APPLE
I am sure that they can point you in the right direction.
I am a little shocked that one of the Apple Retail stores can't offer you a Power Supply.
If all else fails, it sounds like you have tried an alternitve, if it works use it, until you can get a replacment.

  • Replaced power supply same problem

took my imac g5 to apple store where genius told me it needed a new power supply because machine would not turn on and when it did just to gray apple screen Even though the serial number was in the range for extended repair program, i was told mine was to old and did not fall under any repair program. I replaced power supply same issue of gray/white apple screen and fan kicks on loud. reset pram, reset smu, checked diagnostic led lights 1,2,3 all light as they should. Cannot start up with discs either. Anyone with any ideas it would be much appreciated.

What a bummer! If you can get hold of the reseller, go after him for legal discs, if you can't get him, call Apple at 800-767-2775 and they will send you an appropriate set for a nominal fee.

I would venture to say that your 3pin female adapter should be plugged into a 3pin male adapter on your motherboard.  This allows your system to control fan speed on the power supply.  I hope this helps you.

  • Need step by step directions to install a replacement Power Supply for a HP Color LaserJet 1215

I have a HP Color LaserJet 1215 printer that is only a couple of years old.  Had a power problem at home that burnt out the power supplies of two HP Towers, a DSL Modem, and (I think) the power supply of my printer.  I have located a replacement power supply but would sure appreciate any one that would know how to replace.  I need a step by step guide aas to how to perform such a task.
It would also help to have a diagram of the printer showing precisely how to get to the power supply.
Thanks in advance for any and all help.  I have spent days looking for this information and can't seem to find any.

  • 2008 iMac 8,1 still won't power up after replacing power supply

A few days ago my iMac powered-ON as usual at 8AM and was working normally, I checked email and left for a meeting. When I returned 30 minutes later my office had a slight odor of hot bakelite and the screen was dark, instead of displaying the screen saver. Thinking the power may have blinked, I pushed the start button on the back and nothing happened, tried several more times, then depressing and holding, still nothing - absolutely lifeless.
Presumed it was probably the power supply, so took it into the Genius Bar and my suspicion was confirmed; they checked the LEDs and advised that the power supply was mostly bad. Despite the hassle, the solution seemed simple enough: replace the power supply and I'd be back in business. That proved to be wrong!
Bought a new (NIB) power supply from a reputable dealer and carefully disassembled/reassembled the iMac feeling ever so confident that I'd hear the chime and fan whir when I depressed the ON/OFF Button. To my total disbelief nothing has changed! Its still dark and lifeless as before. Not discounting a theoretical chance that both power supplies could be bad I'm puzzled what to do next and where to look. Obviously, there isn't much in line ahead of the power supply, but given the fact there is no fan noise and no glimmer on the display, I can't fathom it could be anything other than something between the power cord and the power supply.
What could have caused the hot bakelite smell? The original power supply had NO bakelite odor and no burned chips, traces, scorched transformer windings or cooked capacitors. That had surprised me, so sniffed around the motherboard/backplane and detected a slight bakelite odor at or near the hard drive; I haven't cracked the case yet to examine the HDD - but, even if it were dead, I'd still hear the chime and fan, and maybe see at least a slight glow on the display, right?
And so, I'm calling on all you "pros from Dover" for some insights, wisdom and pointers to help me diagnose the problem and get the thing fixed. Your thoughts?
    Thanks, much, compadres. AK

My assumption is the same as KT’s, the logic board fried. If the logic board is functional, even if the hard drive is dead, it should power on and perform the POST. Since it isn’t my advice is the same as KT’s - hope you don’t need Snow Leopard to run some older program(s).

  • Where can I buy a replacement power supply (model VP-09500018-000) for my 1st generation Time Capsule?

My 1st Time Capsule no longer powers on!  It was making noises for a while before it would no longer keep power / turn on!   I have taken the time capsule apart and could easily replace the power supply if I knew where to buy it   Can anyone lead me in the right direction?
    Thank you!

Apple do not supply it as a part.
You can repair the existing supply.
    https://sites.google.com/site/lapastenague/a-deconstruction-of-routers-and-modem s/apple-time-capsule-repair/apple-time-capsule-repair-type2
Plenty of people sell the caps set on ebay. Cheaper if you have a good electronics store handy but they need to be top quality low esr capacitors.
Substitute a different kind of power supply.
I definitely believe in using external power supply for this job. This is my own website so disclaimer.
    https://sites.google.com/site/lapastenague/time-capsule-power-supply-repair-kits
Or some original type are available on ebay. Just search for "Time Capsule power supply"
Or look at what a whole second hand TC will cost you.. a Gen3 or Gen4 can be a better proposition than repairing a dead Gen1.
You can also do a half repair.. By that I mean you only need one voltage to run the TC.. a single 5v 3A power supply plugged into the TC board socket or soldered directly in.. will give you an airport extreme Gen2 for $10. Plug the hard drive in by USB.. or use a bit of careful hacking and use a SATA cable to the post on the board and use a 2TB or even 3TB esata case.
You can also still buy a Cisco dual voltage supply on ebay.. but the wiring of it is a bit rough.

  • Replacing power supply in G4

This isn't totally on topic, but it's the closest I can find in the discussions.
I run several macs on ethernet. I have an old G4 Power Mac, dual processor, 500mhz Model M5183, which I use to run a flatbed scanner. The scanner software can only use OS 9 which is why I've held on to this G4. Last weekend, it would not start up at all. I replaced the battery and reset the little button beside the battery, but when I plug it in again, still nothing.
A kind friend gave me another G4 to use for parts. I'm thinking that perhaps the power supply is bad on my G4 and that I can swap out the power supply from the gifted G4 (it's the same model as my original). I've looked at the instructions on the Apple website (where the promised link to the instructional video doesn't work, BTW.)
Can anyone advise me on this? I've contacted a Mac service provider, but the new power supply would cost more than the CPU is worth, plus the scanner is 10 years old, so it may not last much longer. Anything else to consider? I'll have an extra logic board, too, so if the power supply doesn't do it, perhaps that will do it.
I'm not a techie person. I'm a freelance graphic designer, so excuse my ignorance if it's apparent.
Thanks for your help. Sorry about the long post.

The G4 I was given is semi-operable; I don't think it's hard drive is working. Hadn't thought about swapping hard drives. My original HD is 40Gb and the gifted G4 is a 20Gb. Would that make any difference?
I'll try replacing the power supply and see how that goes because I think this second G4 is kind of beat up.
Thanks for the link. I had found it myself. That's where the instructional video link is that didn't work. But the printed info looks good and I'll use that as my guide. I was fishing for more info about unexpected problems I might encounter.
Thanks. I'm sure I'll be back in touch.

  • Mac G5 dual won't start, even after replacing power supply

I was having an issue with the mac starting, getting the bong and then it would run for a while and then shut down. I tried resetting pram and then replaced the power supply.  It still does the same thing.  Help.

    OK, good news/bad news...
We found the problem, but Disk Utility & fsck cannot repair it, it's either erase everything on the drive, or try DiskWarrior...
Your best bet is DiskWarrior, you need the CD/DVD though.

  • Does Creative sell replacement power supply / ac adaptors for out of warrenty produc

The part I need is the external power supply / ac adaptor. It's rated 3.5 V at 5Am
    ps.
I checked every other possibility in the setup of my system and came to the conclusion that the power supply has died. I confirmed this by using a OHM-Meter which showed no power flowing through the device.
The device has a model number on it
    Model: UA-450
If anyone knows if/where I can get a replacement part.
I emailed Customer service but have yet to receive any reply.
    Thanks in advance,
    Steve

Thanks for your note.. I am still not getting any display or Target firewire startup after
several days of off and on attempts to try every variation of reset, pram/nvram reset et.al because i hoped to have one shot at re-booting it to avoid sending it out for repair with data on the hard drive.
I've tried with and w/o battery in... (fully charged). I'm able to get through the PMU using shift-fn-ctrl-power keyboard combo but on subsequent attempts to restart,
power button with T or even power button alone, there is no power-on at all but a few times I've been able to get the PMU reset and before I go to manually restart it, it restarts (chime) itself, however the only thing indicating it is on is that the caps lock key lights and i can hear (listening with my ear to the thing that it's "on..." yet the drive never gets spinning - If there's any other idea to trick this thing into a Target FW startup or other means of accessing the HD to remove certain data i'm still hoping to get this one fixed (esp. if it is only the cost of a Logic Board replacement.
What is really curious is that a few times it has gone to a PMU reset (with the single beep) even when i have just tried to startup with the power-button alone....and then, as i say, restarted (well, powered on..but nothing else...no display, no drive recognition presumably...)

  • Replacing Power Supply for 20" iMac w/o the Ambient Light

I am pretty sure my power supply is dead for the second time. I've taken the back off and done the power button/reset smu test to see if led #2 momentarily blinks, etc. Taking it to the genius bar is a while to see what they say, even though out of warranty.
Anyway, depending on what Apple says at the store about the cost to replace, I may do it myself. It looks like I need part #661-3350 but I am not sure whether it is considered non-PCF or PFC. Does it matter which one I replace it with?
    Thanks.

    Hello Twingirlz,
I just removed my power supply and received good guidance from JimWarholic.com. who referred me to this Apple article on PSU replacement:
    http://manuals.info.apple.com/en/imacg517inch_PowerSupply.pdf
Here is a suggested source for the 661-3350 power supply:
    http://www.dvwarehouse.com/index.php?mainpage=advanced_search_result&search_indescription=1&keyword=661-3350
My G5 1.8 iMac (1st gen)lost it's first power supply at fourteen months. The replacement burnt out recently due to (at least) swollen (defective) capacitors.
So it's somewhat uncertain if your replacement unit will again give up the ghost prematurely. The power supplies I've researched only have a three month guarantee. You can change the PSU without any trouble. But while you have the back cover off, look carefully at the Logic board to check for abnormalities (as in swollen or leaking capacitors (of which there are 25 in plain sight):
