Seems the issue is with the rdf. Check whether all the parameters are passed correctly.

Purchase Order Report In R12

Hi All,
I have created a purchase order report in R12,in the test instance the report is running perfectly for all the operating units but when i moved the rdf to the LIVE instance the report is running for only one operating unit(nothing is hard coded in the rdf) and the report says completed normar but after clicking on view output i am getting a msg as the output is not generated for the concurrent request.
After clicking on the view log i am getting an error msg as

Report in R12.1.3 opening in some other window

Hello,
When i am opening reports EBS R12.1.3. the text report is opening in some other window, i can not able to copy the text from that window.
Also after loggin in into EBS the menu structure is like tree structure and that is not feasible with us.
In previous release of EBS R12.0.6 the text report is opening with internet explorer.
why this is happening with EBS R12.1.3???
Please help me if you could.

Customize AP Trial Balance Report in R12.1.3

I have to customize AP Trial Balance Report in R12 Version 12.1.3.
Can any one please provide some pointers how do we do it?
Here is some background for AP Trial Balance Report:
Its an XML Publisher Report with XDODTEXE Executable. XLAAPRPT.xml is the file uploaded to data definition(Code: APTBRPT) for Accounts Payable Trial Balance . XML template XDODTEXE calls oracle’ s seeded XML template “XLAAPRPT.xml ", this template further calls package XLA_TB_AP_REPORT_PVT for Trial balance.
Our customiztion has to populate trial balance data in to our custom table instead of global temp table . XLA_TB_AP_REPORT_PVT package has a private procedure populate_trial_balance_gt which populates trial balance data into xla_trial_balances_GT.
Please provide some ideas for customization of standard XML publisher reports in R12.1.3.
Any ideas are appreciated.

Hi Vamsi,
I've recreated the standard oracle Trial balance package & XML file . Now i'm able to populate the data into custom table as well as standard table . But the report out doesn't show data in it . it just shows report title, columns bUT NO DATA. the xml file itself doesnt contain data. The custom report completes in 2 mins. But standard report completes in 7 mins
Steps
1. Create custom package similar to oracle standard package & added new insert statement to populate trial balance data into custom table.
2. created new datadefinition with new datatemplate(refering custom package) similar to oracle standard datatemplate.
3. create template same as standard template.
4. copy of standard conc program with custom application
5. Ran the report ...able to populate data into custom table .....but unable to see data in the report.
Please let me know if i'm missing anythng.

Oracle self service reports in R12

We are gonna upgrade from EBS 11i to EBS R12. In 11i we have several reports which are run as self service. Would like some suggestions is there any way we can run these reports in R12, One method is I redevelop the reports using XML publisher. Is there any way I can redevelop the these reports so that they run as self service pages.

Hi Rivka,
See note 564350.1.
Basically don't create a new concurrent program. Instead:
1. Create a new RDF and change the executable on APINVSEL to your new executable
2. Create a new BI Publisher RTF Template and duplicate APINVSEL rtf, making sure the Data Template is same as source one.
3. In System Administration (note not System Administrator) go to Concurrent, Program, query APINVSEL, click OnSite settings and change to your custom template.

Custom reports in R12 not returning any data

I'm seeing an issue of custom reports in R12 not returning any data. So far what I've been able to dig into is that the report query itself is referring to APPS synonyms that are secured under MOAC. What I am able to do is run the query in SQL Developer after having run mo_global.set_policy_context and I receive the data I'm looking for. This is not the case when running the report through the concurrent programs request.
Secondly, I've also configured the concurrent program request to run as single operating unit mode. This aided in fixing any issues with LOVs on the parameter form. However, still no results from the report itself. I've also searched around quite extensively and added a P_CONC_PROGRAM_ID user parameter in reports developer, as well as adding SRW.USER_EXIT('FND SRWINIT') to the before report trigger and SRW.USER_EXIT('FND SRWEXIT') to the after report trigger as well. No luck. I've also tried running mo_global.set_policy_context on the before report trigger and no such luck.
Has anyone seen similar issues with this and could shed some light? At this point, the workaround I would see is to just change the query to use respective all tables and match up against the orgid, but I'd rather not do that.

I am facing exactly the same issue with 2 of my custom Reports in R12.1.3. We did our level best to find out the issue. It was always a hit and trial fix.
But the following were our observations and workarounds
0) The reports Conc Prog were in MOAC - Single mode. Both the reports had SRW INIT, EXIT and P_CONC_REQUEST_ID
1) The reports which caused the issues[NO data fetched for MOAC] had multiple Queries in the data model and one Query fetches data and the 2nd one doesnt. Both the queries when run from SQL developer after setting the org gave results.
Workaround for Report1
a) We deleted the data link connecting the 2 columns in both the queries and added a bind variable instead in the 2nd /child query to refer to the column in the parent query and linked the 2 groups.
Workaround for Report 2
a) In report 2 the queries were not linked to each other. Only one query used to return results and the 2nd one returned 0 rows. The workaround was to use the "where" conditions as lexical parameters after having set the value for the same in before report trigger.
Both the work around looks illogical. Still It worked..!

if you want to display in columns along with the data then right click and select properties and the select the disply as Text .
If you want to display in the header go the properties and in the header (Title area where u provide desxcription) instead of ur description enter the text variable &0T_CMONV& or you can select the text variable from the list .

Send an email to a mail box when generate a xml publisher report in R12

Dears,
I faced a tough problem about xml publisher, there is a user's requirement, they want to send an email to a common mail box after user run the xml publisher report in EBS R12 instance, and they can check the report in mail box, I have not met any reuqirement like this before, so anybody has the experience about this? and please kindly share it with me, thanks a lot.
It seems I need upload the rtf file or xml file to a directory and then system will send the mail automaticlly, but I do not know the detail information.

Possible to print PO file attachments on the PO report? (R12)

Metalink Note:436308.1 (Do Text File Attached To Purchase Order Print on Purchase Order Report?) promises that functionality for printing PO file attachments on the PO report would be available in R12.
Does anyone know if this functionality has been implemented, and if so, where is it documented? I have been looking but not finding. Grateful for your help, as always.

The attachment documents with category "To Supplier" are being emailed .... but I cannot see the PO+Contract terms in the attachments on I-Supplier. I can see the PO+Contract terms in the View PDf functionality.
When there are no attachment documents, I see the PO+Contract terms in the attachments as well as the View PDF. Why is this ?
Is there anything else that needs to be setup here ?
