Replacement to 3.5 template 0ADHOC_QUERYDESIGN

Does any body know if there is any replacement to the above 3.5 standard template in 2004s? Where we can create queries on the web?

This is a setting on the 'Defaults' tab in the User Profile. This can be set when a new user is set-up in SU01, or it can be changed by each user according to personal preference in SU3. I'm sure there is a system table where these settings are stored that could probably be edited for all users, if that is desired, but I don't know which table that would be off the top of my head.

While you can modify the default User Template, it is not a recommended practice to do so. Since you are managing clients via MCX, anything that you set in WGM for user preferences will be added to the user's profile at login. If you have a need for some specific application preferences that need to be added for users, configure the application on a workstation as a local user and then import the .plist into WGM. Anything else -folders or files- that an application creates in the local user prefs folders, that may be needed, can usually be placed in the /Library/Preferences, /Library/Application Support, and /Library/Managed Preferences folders on the clients so that users have access to them.

Here are a couple of relevant tips from the section of After Effects Help about footage items:
To replace the source footage item for a layer with another footage item, without affecting changes made to the layer properties, select the layer and then Alt-drag (Windows) or Option-drag (Mac OS) the new footage item onto the layer in the Timeline panel.
To replace all uses of selected footage items with another footage item, select footage items in the Project panel, and then Alt-drag (Windows) or Option-drag (Mac OS) the new footage item onto a selected footage item in the Project panel.
You might want to start with this set of getting-started materials.

GP: Replacements (parameter) in email templates

I have created an email template to send a notification. Into this email I want to add several parameters (which should be done via replacement ?). But neither from the documenation nor by trying I can get these replacements show up. Right now my email template looks like this

The last name shows up, but the reason does not. The collable object of type "Notification" has a input parameter "reason" but it doesn't work. I also tried "writeln (input.reason)" and "writeln (co.reason)" but it didn't work either. How do I have to name the input parameter and the replacements to get this work?

Yes, it's easy. You just drag. But you must pay attention to the cursor, it will turn into different things depending on where you try to drop your replacement.
Check the online help system, just search for REPLACE and then look for REPLACE LAYER CONTENTS.

Muse Replace Image (Shoot It Template)

I am trying to replace the first image (see below) with right click on mouse and select ''replace image''. The little image (shoes) is been replacing in the widget but the bigger image is not. I am replacing because I want to keep the widget photo configuration like for example shrink the photo when you make smaller the internet explorer.
What I am doing wrong, any help will be appreciated.

You can try doing the same (Right click-->Replace image) separately for the bigger image as well. In Muse slideshows, you need to replace the thumbnail images and the bigger images separately.
Also, the responsiveness of the widget should still remain intact after replacing the image.

Replace FB's index.template.html to avoid Flash Player version check

I'm testing my Flex on old computers. The HTML wrappers
generated by FB3 work fine generally. But in some cases, the
wrappers keep asking me to upgrade the Flash Player to version 9
even through the FP is already in version 9. How should I change
the index.template.html so that the new FB3 generated HTTP wrappers
would not check the version of FP? As far as I know, most of the
browsers already have FP9 installed. Even when the FP is below
version 9, calling a swf file in the HTML would trigger the
upgrading process.

Look under your project properties for "Flex compiler" and
set the wrapper's "required version" there.

Find and replace in RTF Template

Hi,
I'm using a if statement in my template, but i need to change a value within this statement. It's being used multiple times, therefor it would be easier to do a find and replace, is there a way to do a find and replace within the RTF template? Already openede it in Notepad++, but no luck

I don't think there is a way to find and replace all.. You can view all the code by using Field Browser -> Show All and then replace the code and update one by one from there..

Blank.template file issue

Alright guys,
I messed up!
I was trying to get pages to permantly set the default language to Australian English, when I found that the pretty much the only way to do it is save a new blank template. (this is the normal blank template with the language set to Australian)
I tried to take it a step further and update ( well replace) the original blank.template file in the package folder,
And now i get error when opening old documents.
I know i shouldnt have messed with the application package
but If anyone here is kind enough to upload a copy of their original blank.template file
i'd be ever so grateful

P.S. yes, i've already slapped myself for replacing without backing up a copy

To have Pages in Australian english you change it in the System preferences. Not fiddeling with the application at all. You can create a blank template and change all the styles to australian english and then save that template as a template and it will be located in My templates in the New tempalte chooser.
To get an original blank template in the right location install Pages again.

Ok , so , how do I completely replace the existing layout / template with the one already on the site , which basicly is just a header and a name .... ? FTP connected ... webpage in Dw already .

Keep in mind that Unix servers are case sensitive, so index.html is not the same file as Index.html. Maybe that's part of your problem?

Do you know why the metadata template in Bridge fails for DNGs?

I am writing in IPTC (IIM, Legacy) and IPTC Core metadata into dng files in Bridge (CS4) using the Metadata Templates, and the template I set up works fine for jpgs but when I try to use it for dngs the captions/keywords get written over using the file info from the first image in the folder.
If I select all images in the folder (in Bridge) then right click to File Info and use the Metadata Template I set up with "Keep original metadata, but replace matching properties from template" selected it over-writes the captions/keywords. When all the images are selected and you look at the file info it should say (Multiple Values) in the Caption/Keyword panels but it doesn't, it fills in with the first image in the folder. But if I select all the images and use the drop down from the metadata tab and click Replace Metadata and selected the template I set up it works just fine and the captions/keywords remain in tact.
Anyone have any idea why this is happening?

First, let's get a bit clearer on our terminology, shall we?
What you are seeing is not a "Build Tag". Sure, the Span indicates a tag and it's there when you build, but a "Build Tag" is a special tag inside RoboHelp that you apply to specific content that you wish to omit from the build using a counterpart known as a "Build Expression".
A Build Tag in RoboHelp looks like this:
<?rh-cbt_start condition="InProgress" ?>New model coming<?rh-cbt_end ?>
What you are reporting is an inline styling element.
Is this a project that began life in RoboHelp 9? Or was it created in an earlier version and was upgraded along the way? Does the same thing occur with a totally new topic you create?

Problems with customising menu template backgrounds

Hi.
I am experiencing problems with changing the background of the included disc menu templates in PE9. I can change the background image to anything i like on the computer and all seems to work OK but when i burn the project to disc (PAL_Dolby DVD) the custom background image has gone and been replace with the default template imagine.
Anyone got any ideas whats going on!

This issue showed up with PrE 9. I do not recall reading of it with earlier versions.
I do not know if the PSD files have some corruption, or if some change in PrE 9's code "did the deed," but many have filed a Bug Report, and I ask that you please do, as well. It should be an easy fix for Adobe (but I am not a coder, or software engineer, and could be wrong).

Apex 4.2 CKEditor template hit some errors

Dear all,
The first issue is my CKEditor templates work well in Apex 4.1, but after upgrade Apex4.1 to Apex4, click template icon and tick "Replace actual contents" and select my own template, the template has no response. if I un-select "Replace actual contents", my template works fine.
The second issue is if I un-select "Replace actual contents", my template content is displayed in textarea, then I save it to database, the page(let's say page1) is redirected to another page(let's say page2). In page2, there is button "Edit", click "Edit", page1 is opened and load data to textarea, but page1 appears to hang and gives a message that a script has stopped working :

Sorry for the delay and here are my findings and am unable to reproduce your issue. I have a Apex Upgrade and running on version 4.2.1.00.08.
The steps which i followed are below.
1. Copied the Templates under plugins/templates/templates/default.js to mytemplate.js and modified the content of mytemplate.js to the following

<file>/libraries/ckeditor/3.6.4/plugins/templates/templates/default.js</file>Step 4: Ran the apxldimg.sql with the necessary parameters and no issues.
Step 5: Ran the page which has TextArea and clicked on the Templates icon can see the two custom templates which was added to mytemplates.js and selected one of the them with the "Replace Actual Contents" checkbox checked or selected, can see the content in the TextArea and submitted the page to Page 2 and clicked on the button which redirects back to page 1. I can see the HTML Template content in the textArea no issues.
Step 6: The above step also tested with "Replace Actual Content" checkbox unchecked or not selected, works fine without errors or issues.
The above testing is done on IE, FF, Chrome and Safari browsers.
The issue maybe because of Browser cache, recommend to clear the browser cache and try again, also check whether the necessary entries and references in the config.js and mytemplates.js files are proper.

Exporting images in PDF and broadcasting with custom template error in BI 7

Hello! We're in the process of creating broadcast reports and are running into some problems. We need someone with experience exporting PDF's or creating broadcasts using custom web templates in 7.0.
Our issue is two-pronged:
1) We want users to be able to export (with WAD command) web reports to PDF with the company logo. We have a custom web template with just a JPG image and analysis grid. But for some reason, when this template gets exported to PDF, the image does not get included. We've tried embedding the image into table, group, container, container-layout to no avail. Any suggestions?
2) We also need the company logo in PDF broadcast reports. We replaced the standard broadcasting web template 0BROADCATING_TEMPLATE (using RSCUST27) with a custom one, but we immediately get the "error loading template ..." when trying to access the Broadcaster. There seem to be no OSS notes for this.
Please let me know if you need any additional information.
