soooooooooo frustrated
iphone replaced with new as not working-plugged into itunes on my mac mainly to get all my apps back yet some not coming back onto iphone yet others are?
mac is defo authorized as checked?
when i open itunes under library and then apps it has "7" next to the word "applications" yet there are approx 20 - i'm guessing that the 7 is the number of apps not syncing back but wat do i do next

Hi Dominic,
Make sure the applications are all checked on the Applications tab in iTunes. Just click the iPhone on the left side of iTunes, under devices> click the applications tab above the iPhone Summary and check the applications you want to sync to the iPhone.

Yes, you can sync your iPhone just as you did your Touch and get the same songs, apps, video, etc.

I have the newest version of iTunes and my iphone4 is upto date. Now my "Purchased music" from itunes snced with a little bit of messing with but all my"un-purchased" music will not export to itunes. When I click,"on this phone" the "un-purchased" songs are on there, but it will not goto my itunes library. When I gotto sync, it is saying it will erase all music files on my phone, which is the opposite of what i want. i want to put the rest of my "unpurchased music" on my itunes on my computer. PLEASE HELP!

The sync for music is a one way sync from ypur computer to iPhone and not the reverse. If you can't move the original music into that iTunes library, and that is the best answer, then you will have to look for a 3rd party app to help you.
I have used Senuti when I had a PC disaster to do what you are trying to do.

Iphone 3G not syncing all of a sudden!

I have the latest version of itunes operating on XP and all of a sudden my phone won't sync, it just keeps coming up with 'session timed out'. I can't seem to find a solution anywhere. Please help as the music has all gone form my phone now

I am not familiar with Windows contacts, but it sounds like the sync settings need to be reset. I haven't found a good way to do this with Outlook. What I do (the hard way) is I create a backup contacts directory, move all my contacts there, and resync. That has the net effect of deleting all my contacts on the iPhone (as I am syncing with an empty Contacts database). I then create one record in Outlook and resync, and check the iPhone to make sure it came over. I do that to test sync functionality. I then copy over all my contacts from my backup location onto the clean Contacts folder, and resync. That has done it for me the couple of times I ran into this with Outlook. It may also work for Windows Contacts, but I do not know how to make a backup copy of that. In Outlook I just create a backup contacts folder.

Tried that but did not work. Thank you for the reply. However, I did find the correct thing to do though so wanted to share.
Since on my computer I had to create a new admin account, I had to go into the shortcut properties of Itunes. Then hit Compatibility Tab. Had to check Run as Admin.
After hitting Change settings for all users it worked just fine.

I had to reset my username and password on my computer because I must have hit a wrong key when changing password. Anyway I made a new admin user on my pc and now my iphone will not sync all the way with my itunes. Can not sync all photos in Aperture into Iphone 5

I can not sync all photos in Aperture into Iphone 5. It always can sync some photos into 5. Then finish and prompts: "itunes can not synchronize (other)thousands of projects, and see more information in itunes". That means most of my photos can not seen on Iphone 5, it seems just can't import to 5. Is that the problem of Iphone or the pictures in Aperture, or even just because lack of sufficient space?

I cannot for the life of me figure this out.

What you need to do is connect your phone to iTunes but do not click sync. Go to File at the top and click transfer purchases from phone, that'll put all your apps into iTunes. When it's done transferring, locate your phone on the sidebar and click it. Then find the apps option above the picture of your iphone, you can select which apps you want or don't want on your phone. After selecting your apps then you can sync. Once you do this you should never have your problem anymore.

Assuming you haven't taken up too much memory from apps to hold the 11 gigs of music...
After you plug in your iPhone, go to the music tab. Make sure you have it set to sync all music.
If apps/books/etc. leave you with less than 11 gig of space for you music, make playlists and sync those instead

What is the file name of the video(s) you want to sync?
Another way. You can use a USB flash drive & the camera connection kit.
Plug the USB flash drive into your computer & create a new folder titled DCIM. Then put your movie/photo files into the folder. The files must have a filename with exactly 8 characters long (no spaces) plus the file extension (i.e., my-movie.mov; DSCN0164.jpg).
Now plug the flash drive into the iPad using the camera connection kit. Open the Photos app, the movie/photo files should appear & you can import. (You can not export using the camera connection kit.)

ITunes will not sync all of my apps.

Hi There-
Since I have updated my iTunes to the latest version (9 I think), not all my apps are syncing over. In the new version, you can check each box next to the app and it will either sync or not sync the app to my iPod Touch. My problem is that even after I check the box, it says it is syncing it over but nothing goes to the touch and the box is immediately unchecked. Another problem it is giving me is that if I choose an app, another one will uncheck and the whole thing is frustrating. I use all my apps and I want them all to be synced, Unfortunately, these is no box that gives the option to just sync all. You have to go in and choose each one, well, I do that and then I get apps that don't sync. I do hope someone will be able to shed some light on this. Thanks for looking and taking the time. Please let me know if you have any questions that might help diagnose this problem.

I have the same problem since getting iTunes 9. However, I think mine has to do with the fact that the apps that won't sync were purchased with a different iTunes account. I have tried to sync with both accounts but they still don't get sync'd. They show on the iTunes screen, they are checked, and they show on the iPhone screen where they will be when sync'd but once I sync, they aren't on the phone but still show in iTunes as sync'd. If I go to the App Store on my phone (3G) and look at the app, it shows "installed" but aren't on the phone. I have tried using my MAC and a PC; I have tried everything to get them to show up but to no avail. Anyone out there can help??!?!?!?!?
