Our family Christmas photo turned out great for 8 out of 9 people. We have a daughter with Down Syndrome who was having a rough day, and her picture is dismal. What process do I use to "replace" her image with a more attractive one? I have PSE3.

You will, however, have to do a layer mask workaround. I didn't think about Elements not having native masks it when I took the screen shot. The how... 1. I duplicated the background...your corrected version. 2. I applied Filter<Blur<Average to the duplicate. 3. I changed the blend mode of the Blur/Average layer to Linear Light 100% opacity and masked out everything except her head and hair. 4. Next, I added a Photo layer. It's the Warming 81 with the density set at 21%. The layer itself is set to Normal 100%. 5. I added a few highlights to her face and hair. It's just a few touches of white paint blurred with the layer set to Overlay blend mode 54% opacity. 6. I ran the blur brush along the edges of her hair. I did this on a blank layer. The layer is set to Lighten blend mode 100% opacity. This helped to blend her hair a bit. Chances are the receipe will need adjustment when it comes time to work on the full resolution image. Ok guys, Newbie here. I have no business tyring to do this, but it's for an 60th wedding anniversary announcement for my inlaws. I have a couple pictures of the happy couple in a group. I managed to cut the group out and just leave the two and add solid background, then I cropped the image. Now I have two pictures, one the husband looks better, one the wife. I want to move the husband to the better wife. I have the picture I have already cropped on the editor and have added on a new layer I cut out the husband. On the other picture of the good husband, I have, on a new layer, cut him out. Now, I can't figure out what to do next. I'm wondering if I should have done the changing of people before cropping??? (Otherwise how am I gonna get the husband the right size to match the wife?) Anyone have some EASY steps for this beginner??

Don't give up! This is basic PSE stuff. If I understand correctly, you have the husband and wife on separate layers but they are different sizes? You can simply resize one to match the other by resizing the layer: Activate the Move tool and, holding down <Shift> drag one of the corner handles to resize (Shift maintains the layer's proportions).

I can't find the tutorial on replacing a person with another image from a different photo.

I got an email with a link to a video a long time ago that showed how to remove a person from a group photo and replace this person with an image of them from another photo. There are many tool and "tricks" to accomplish this manipulation. However, depending on the image one technique might be more appropriate than an other. And then there is the question of how to do it "skillfully". For example, the shadows in the person that is being substituted might be different than in the original image creating the obviously "photoshopped" look.

You're welcome.
First check to be sure the new phone is running the same or higher version of iOS as the one you backed up (Settings>General>About>Version). If it isn't, you'll need to update the iOS first. Then go to Settings>General>Reset, tap Erase All Content and Settings, go through the setup screens on the phone and when given the options, choose Restore from iCloud backup and follow the prompts, choosing the backup of your personal phone to restore to.
Be sure the phone is connected to wifi and your charger while it is restoring the backup.

Welcome to the forum.
Yes, this is done often. You will need to create a Mask of that person, to separate them from the background of the original Image.
I like to do this with a Layer Mask, as it offers control, and really does not alter the Image, so you can go back and make changes.
Let's say that you have Image 01 w/ the head of your subject, and want to place it into Image 02. In Image 01, make a rough Selection. I would include a bit of extra background, as we will take care of that in a moment. With that Selection active, Copy the head shot. Go to Image 02, and Paste it. It will Paste in its own Layer. Ctrl+T (Free Transform) can be used to Scale and also position that Layer with the head. Once you have that Scaled and positioned about where you want it, create a Layer Mask. In QuickMask Mode, just paint in the additional Mask to remove all traces of the background that came in with the head shot. As you can paint OUT, and also paint IN the Mask, you can work on this, as many times as you wish - even next year.

Hover mouse over a group photo & individual image pops up?

My project is to do a mouse hover over individual faces on a group photo and display an image of what that person looked like back in high school.
So far I am able to display the persons name as I hover over their face but don't know how to also display their individual image.
I set up an image map with circular hotspots for each face.

Sorting and filtering by select-multi person or group field in the list in SharePoint 2013

Hi everybody,
In SharePoint 2013, I have defined a column as "Person or Group" field, which you allow for multiple selections. when I try to sort/filter it by this field in the list. The field doesn't show up in the dropdown. If I changed "Allow multiple
selections" option to "No" by clicking the column name to edit it in "List Settings", the field can show up sort in the dropdown.
How about support sorting and filter by select-multiple "Person or Group" field in sharepoint 2013?
BTW, in SharePoint 2010, it can support this issue no matter what the "Allow multiple selections" option the request is.
Any help would be great!

To fix the Filter Issue on Assigned To Column. We need to run the following scripts.
The field which allows more than one values or which allows multiple selections. The multi-valued fileds are non-sortable,
non-filterable. Multi-valued fields cannot be indexed

I am working on SharePoint Online 2013 and I have created a column - DocOwner with "Person or Group" type in document library. In the site collection there are 4 groups lets say - A,B,C,D. When user creates a new item (document set), in newform.aspx,
I want to restrict the people picker of "Docowner" column to only Site groups, as currently it is showing all users who are there in SharePoint online.

A work around...
Create your text, place it underneath the face, then hide that text layer. Make sure you save to a format that supports layers like psd or tiff.
