Replacing approver

Hello people,
I'm facing a problem when the final user A is creating a shoping car, and changes the approver. This user A has the role to create the shooping car only. But he can change the approver pointing to a user B, that has no role of approver.
How can I restrict this, to show only the managers? Is it possible?
I'm using EBP 300.

Hello Cristiana,
You can do agent assignment restricted to users with the role 'SAP_BBP_STAL_MANAGER' to your WS10000276 by using Transaction OOCU.
Here, follow this path: SAP --> SRM --> SRM-EBP --> SRM-EBP-WFL
Click on link "Assign Agents" --> Select WS10000276
In Standard setting - WS10000276 would be seen as 'General Task' - You need to first change to "No General task" - By Clicking on "Attributes (F8)". And then you can assing above role by clicking "Create Agent Assignment (F5)".

Change / replace Approver?

I am wanting shopping carts to be approved by the creators manager, which is O.K. However, I also want the creator of the shopping cart to be able to select an alternative approver if required. At the moment with what I have configured, I can add an approver, but I cannot delete the original resolver from the list of approvers. When I go to add an approver, the dropdowns under 'More Search Helps' contain - 'Check if change/replace of Approver is allowed'. Please could someone tell me if this is how you achieve being able to select an alternative approver and remove the original, and how you set this up. If this is not how you do it does anyone have any suggestions ?

We are moving from SRM 3.0, but are doing a completely new implementation rather than a double upgrade.
We are implementing SRM version 7.0, and intend to use process controlled workflow rather than application controlled.
Is there nothing available within process controlled workflow which would allow the change/replace of the default approver?
Just wondering if you have any thoughts on another of my questions -

Check while replacing approver in SC creation

Hello expert,
Whenever user replaces default approver using replace button in shopping cart creation, is there any badi exit through which i can validate the new user. I have already implemented BADI "BBP_CHNG_AGNT_GET".
This badi gets triggered when user clicks on find button. Sometimes user directly hit the replace button instead of find and then replace.

unfortunately there is no badi available for the customers , but srm has a few standard checks bulit in to validate the user entered

Replace approver

Hi...
while creating PO....
i am filling the approver with the existing dummy approver..
if click the dummy approver and change the approver with the actual user and clicking the 'Replace' Button it is not replacing the dummy aprover with the Actual approvar....
help me on this....

Add Approver restricted to Approvers only

We are using n step approval in ECS. I restricted approval task TS14508044 to no general forwarding allowed and asigned Approver Role.
But nevertheless when user during shopping cart creation want to add or change an approver they can assign any user. I would have expected that the approvers that can be added or changed would be restricted to the users that have the approver role.
Where can I restrict this

Hello, i have developed a program which allows you to change an approver in a shopping cart.It concerns the Extended classic scenario with BADI n steps implemented.
The functioning is as follows.
You launch the program with 2 parameters, the initial approver and the replacement approver.
The shopping cart is modified with the replacement approver.
I'd like to give more detail as it is very interesting but do you think that it can be considered as a helpful asset on SDN?

It purely depends upon your interest only. We can see different issues here. So you will share your ideas to those.
If you are in the top list you may receive rewards. SAP changes the rewards every time. I think last time the top 5 contributors got a free admission to SDN day. I think Michal have got few rewards.

Load Cycle Count and Hard Drive Life

When I heard about issues with another platforms default power-management settings burning the life out of notebook hardrives, I decided it would be wise to check how my own MacBook Pro was doing. I installed smartctl utilities via Darwin ports and started keeping track to my drive status.
I was shocked to find that the LoadCycleCount as reported by my machine's SMART subsystem was over 500,000 of an expected 600,000 cycles in a harddrive typical life on a system that was just 18 months old of just typical use. Since then I've monitored things and haven't been able to get it to slow down - so that it's now crossed 613,000 after 8032 power-on hours and the macbook is still running - not making any weird drive noises either.
I've been making weekly backups now - but I'd still rather have a planned replacement than get caught in the middle with a downed system. Frankly, I'm bothered by how fast this drive's life has been "used up" by the default settings of OSX. Have people ever gotten a pro-active replacement approve by applecare - I have the extended warranty on my machine - but don't want to void my warranty on the whole machine just to fix this harddrive issue.

2. I have used 254 for years on my HP. I don't run for extended periods on batteries, and I hate spin down / spin up delays. I have never had a problem and always use it sitting on my lap, often being set down on and picked up from a desk. I would not worry about it.

When ever the approver for the confirmation is not found it is routed to the replacement apporver who is assigned to the SAp standard task TS10008107.
How do we assign the agent (replacement approver to this task)

International Warranty in New Zealand is a joke

My Thinkpad Yoga died in early June and I have to send it in for repair.
So far I have waited 2+ months and spent countless HOURS on the phone to your call center for my laptop to be repaired and returned.
I have been told all different sorts of stories of why there are so many delays
- Parts not available (2+ week wait for each part, first I have been told harddrive is dead, then the motherboard, for each one of these that's a separate wait)
- Recovery disc not avaialble at service center (I consider this to be the biggest joke)
- Case escalated for a brand new replacement because of unavailable parts, more wait for replacement to be approved
- Replacement approved, waiting accounts to approve (?!?!?!what the hell????)
- Waiting escalation specialist to contact me and grab my shipping details in New Zealand (apparently the escalation team has been overloaded with requests so I am told to expect a 1 week delay again for them to contact me, so far it's been more than 2 weeks)
I just got off the phone with a call center rep and have been told he will contact me in 1-2 hours since he has to get more information (he flatout denied that my replacement has been approved at all so I dont know what's going on there anymore)
Moral of the story, avoid buying a Lenovo if you want service in Australiasia region. At this stage I just want my 1k+ machine back as it's been at the service center for more than 2 months now and by the time I recieve it (if I recieve it) there is not much warranty left.

Approver replace problem

Hi all...
my question is,
When I create, a PO at the time I am filling the approver in the Approval tab.
The default 'dummy' approver is displayed as per the BAdi (WFL_Approve).
If I click the dummy approver, the actual approver is listed as per the BAdi (Agent_get).
I selected one approver and clicked the button Replace then it is not Replacing with actual approver.
Plz help me on this issue....

Please apply note 1458890. This note should also be relevant for replacing the approver in a PO document. Perhaps it would be easier to close out this duplicate thread and continue discussing this issue in the 'Approver Table' thread.

Batch replacing document responsible or approver when employee quits

We have lots of documents where we manually assign approvers or document owners (for example in a contract library). I need a solution to be able to change these associations whenever someone quits. The solution should be used by library administrators
(end users) and not IT so simply running a Powershell script wont suffice.
The libraries are also version controlled and have content approval. The solution should be able to do the name changes without triggering new approval processes.
Any good ideas?

Did you try creating a SharePoint group and assign the group as approver in the workflow? So that you just need to modify the group member in case you want to change the approver from the workflow. You could have the group in the site collection.

We were looking for xApp analytics module "XAPP FIN INVESTM APPROVAL 1.1" for Capital appropriation reports.
Came to know from PAM that SAP's support for this module is ended by May 2009. Also,from Service Market Place > Downloads -> Installations and Upgrades - Entry by Application Group" Composite Applications" - ANALYTIC BLUEPRINTS FROM SAP). Note at end of page states: "SAP xApps Analytics will not be maintained or supported by SAP, nor will SAP provide new versions and/or releases of such SAP xApps Analytics."
May I know is this functionality included in any other product?

SC changes, but the approver isn't replaced

Hello,
we are using the standard workflow WS14500015.
Here we have a cost-center approver, based on a Z-table.
And curious is: When the cost center approver rejects the SC and wants the requisitioner to change the cost center, so a new cost-cetner approver should be found.
The SC comes back to the requisitioner, he changes the cost center, but instead of a new one approver, who should be taken for approval the old approver gets the SC again.
The workflow protokol shows, that the SC in the workflow is not updated (in the container there is still the old cost center), but in the reality, the cost center is different.
Which is strange.
Could somebody please help me?

Existing Approver is Replaced with New Approver

Hi,
Here is case. I have 1-step, 2step workflow activated. In this case, if i am the user and created a shopping cart then it went for approval to Manager 1. After submitting the SC Manager 1 left the company and Manager 2 came into that position. Now this needs to be approved by Manager 2.
How can the existing SC's to be approved by Manager 1 can be rooted to Manager 2? Do we have standard reports to do so?

You could do one of the following:
1) Using transaction RMPS_SET_SUBSTITUTE to create an active substitute (Manager2) to approver Manager1
2) Using transaction SWIA forward the work item from Manager1 to Manager2
