Replacing Laptop Keyboard?

I bought my Dell laptop about seven months ago. I use it daily and was trying to keep it clean by wiping it off with Windex wipes that specifically stated on the package that they were for keyboard cleaning. However, not only did my keys start to wear out from wear, the wipes make the keys wear out ten times faster, so I obviously stopped using them. It made me really mad that they say they're for keyboards, but it seemed to eat at my keys and make them wear out faster than just my daily use. Now it is getting to the point where they're so worn out, that my fingers slip on the keys when I'm typing and its really making it hard for me to use the computer. I have the three year service plan for my computer. Would a keyboard replacement be covered? Or would I have to find some way to cover my keys to keep from messing up while typing and just deal with it? I'd really like to do something about the keys, as they're really bugging me. Also, if this is covered and can happen, how long might it take for it to get fixed?

It's always best to use canned air for cleaning a keyboard. I would recommend calling Dell tech support. They are really good about replacing keyboards under warranty. I order replacement keyboards almost every week because of worn letters on the keys. Dell never has a problem replacing keyboards.
