Replacing magic mouse with new one

I dropped my old magic mouse and broke it. Bought a new one. I have deleted everything i can find but my system wants to connect to the old one and will not discover the new one. How...?

Finder Go menu -> Go to Folder... "/Library/Preferences", then remove "com.apple.Bluetooth.plist", then reboot could solve the problem.

Before installing a new drive - it is generally better to install it in a external usb enclosure and connect it to your Macbook so you can format/erase the new drive and make an exact clone of the drive you wish to install, unless you plan on doing a clean install.

  • Replace playing video with new one in osmf player

    Hi,
I have a problem with loading new video in osmf player. First video is loaded from the emmbed code, and I use ProxyElement to comunicate with MediaLEment and to load my plugin. But after some actions in my plugin I need to load another video in the Player. By changing the DisplayedObject from the proxiedElement I am loading the new video but the old video from emmbed code is still runing on the back. Does anyone know how to remove mediaElement created by the player or to replace with new one, ot at least to disable that video from playing. I tried with everything and it doesn't work.
    Thanks

    hi,
you can change into new Data Source.
From new Data Source you can load data into the old ods.
but if you want to kepp the old records as it is, then don't delete data in the ods.
    hope this helps......

  • Replacing Old characteristic with new ones in a Cube

    Hi,
I have 3 Z InfoObjects for capturing time information like the month, year and week. The user is requesting for variables like current month, current year etc on these variables frequently. I have written customer exit for bringing the current week etc values on the Z InfoObjects.
However, I want to avoid writing of the code in future and hence have created 3 more InfoObjects which reference to the standard time characteristics, i.e. the Z month InfoObject will refer 0CALMONTH etc. so that the standard variables of 0CALMONTH can be used for our Z InfoObjects also. Now I want to replace the old InfoObjects with these new InfoObjects(the ones referencing the standard time characteristics) in a InfoCube. My question is how do we get the historic data for these new InfoObjects as the Historic data is in the old Z InfoObjects. Any thoughts/suggestions would be helpful..
    thanks in advance.

<i>Generated export Datasource of the InfoCube after adding the new 3 characteristics. Then in the Update Rules mapped only these 3 characteristics with the old characteristics and did a full upload.</i>
You need to map the 3 old Characteristics to the 3 new ones, and you need to map all the other InfoObjects too.
In the following I refer to the 3 old temporal Charactersitcs as T1, T2 and T3 - and to the 3 new temporal Chars as T1', T2' and T3'. The other (old) Chars are referred to as Cn, and the Key Figures as KFn:
    T1 --> T1'
    T2 --> T2'
    T3 --> T3'
    C4 --> C4
    C5 --> C5
    KF1 --> KF1
    KF2 --> KF2
After the load you should delete the old requests to avoid data duplication.
<i>I was expecting that the record will have the new characteristic and also the value in it after the load. But it is not happening.</i>
I reckon you don't have any value because you haven't mapped the Key Figs (as well as severlal Characteristics) in the Update Rules.

  • Replacing CUCM VMs with newer ones?

    Hey all,
I recently upgraded from 8.6 to 9.1, all is well. I have 2 questions:
    1. In order to meet the disk size requirements, do I have to build new machines and restore from DRS? If so, since they have to be built identical, any suggestions on doing this without causing a production outage?
    2. Unity upgrade threw back an error stating the machines did not meet requirements, same as above?
    Thanks,
    Frank

    Change Virtual Machine Configuration Specifications
Use the following procedure when you need to change the configuration specifications on your virtual machine (VM) in order to upgrade to a new release of Unified Communications Manager or IM and Presence Service. Configuration specifications include the vCPU, vRAM, and vDisk size. For information about VM requirements, see the Readme file with the OVA template that supports your release. Details about OVA templates are available on the Virtualization Docwiki at http://docwiki.cisco.com/wiki/Implementing_Virtualization_Deployments.
    Procedure
    Step 1
Perform a Disaster Recovery System (DRS) backup. For more information about performing a backup, see the Cisco Unified Communications Manager Disaster Recovery Administration Guide.
    Step 2
(Optional.) If you need to increase the vDisk space to meet the space requirements of a refresh upgrade, install the following COP file: ciscocm.vmware-disk-size-reallocation-<latest_version>.cop.sgn
    Step 3
    Shut down the virtual machine.
    Step 4
Change the configuration of the virtual machine as needed:
Change the Guest OS version to match the requirements of the new release (Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6 (64-bit).
To change the vCPU, make the change in vSphere Client. Ensure that you change the reservation value to match the specifications of the new release.
To change the vRAM, make the change in vSphere Client. Ensure that you change the reservation value to match the specifications of the new release.
To increase the vDisk space, edit the disk size using vDisk. If the virtual machine has two disks, expand the second one. The new space is automatically added to the common partition when you restart the virtual machine.
    Note
You need to change the disk size changes only if you need additional space to complete the upgrade. The disk space requirements are specified in the Readme file for the OVA template.
Expanding the disk size to add space to the common partition will not increase the user capacity of your system. If you need to extend the user capacity of your system, you must migrate from a single-disk to a multi-disk virtual machine; seeReplace a Single Server or Cluster for Cisco Unified Communications Manager for more information.
For more information about making configuration changes using vSphere Client, refer to the user manual for the product.
    Step 5
Modify the Network Adapter to use the VMXNET 3 Adapter type. For information about modifying the Network Adapter to meet the requirements of this release, see the Readme file for the OVA template.
    Step 6
Upgrade the software to the latest version.
    Step 7
    Power on the virtual machine.

  • Replace  existing datasource with new one

    Hi
Current report in BW has a character limitation in the commodity code field (presently using the short description, Because of using short description The results in many of the commodity descriptions are getting cut-off from the report. so customer wanted to Display long description. To display the long description, ABAPer had created a new data source (ZMATL_GROUP_TEXT) where it will have long description. So now I should start using the new data source instead of the existing business content data source for 0MATL_GROUP_TEXT) I need to make the corresponding changes on BW side. I Guess this might be simple but I am new to BW can some one help me with the steps.
    Thanks
    Abhi

    Hi Abhi,
If you are updating your master data using direct update then delete the data source assignment to the info-source and assign the new data source. For this you need to replicate the new data source in your BW system before you can actually use it.
If you are using flexible update then you can create a new info-source all together or you can keep the old info-source (by deleting the data source assignment as mentioned in the first step).
For replicating the data source: go to source system (RSA13) -> Select your source system -> double click -> selct the application component from the right hand side -> right click -> replicate data source
Then delete the data source assignment: go to info-source (RSA12) -> select your info-source -> right click -> delete source system assignment
You need to again assign the new data source: RSA12 -> right click -> assign data source
    Hope it helps.
    Thanks,

  • Will apple replace my headphones with new ones?

hi iv had my headphones for almost 1 year now..
the rubber has came off the headphones and the sound quality has faded
    will apple replace these?
i still have the box and receipt

    deggie wrote:
Apple will only not replace them if they have been damaged through misuse or an accident. If they have been used properly they are warranted to work for one year. If they failed at 11 months and 29 days it does not matter that they've been "well loved and well used", they are supposed to last for one full year. Unless they purchase AppleCare then it is two years.
    Doc M wrote:
By all means, take them in and see what they say. I could be quite mistaken.
    deggie--
    AppleCare states:
Your Plan covers defects for the Applebranded product(s) listed in your Planʼs Certificate or Proof of Coverage document (“Plan Confirmation”) and the accessories that are contained in the product(s) original packaging (“Covered Equipment”),
(ii) Under APP for iPod, Apple will provide technical support for the Covered Equipment, iPod OS
and software applications that are pre-installed with the Covered Equipment (both referred to as
"iPod Software") and connectivity issues between the Covered Equipment and a supported
computer, meaning a computer that meets the Covered Equipmentʼs connectivity specifications and
runs an operating system that is supported by the Covered Equipment. Apple will provide support
for the then-current version of the iPod Software, and the prior supported Major Release.
Also--I never said that they shouldn't take them back--just to not be surprised if they were not replaced. They may well be, and as stated above, +I could be quite mistaken.+
I am also presuming that these are not the stock earbuds that come with iPods, but a set of headphones that may not be stock issue. (They may not even be Apple-brand.) If these are the Apple in-ear headphones with remote that one buys as a standalone purchase, then they should be replaced if under a year. If these are the Dr. Dre sets...who knows? I am working with the information I got from the original poster.
I guess I've worked too much retail, and have seen too many worst-case scenarios. I'd rather see them get replaced (and be incorrect) than to say yes, they'll be replaced no questions asked--and find out later they weren't.
Still--a year warranty should be a year warranty....

  • Replaced crashed computer with new one. How do I secure a serial number for my re-installed CS3 program obtained while as a student at Dixie State University with a coupon code of HL1A-003B-L2A0? Trial expires in 7 days.

My old computer, which had CS3 installed, crashed and I had to replace the computer.  We re-installed the CS3 program on the new computer, and the prompt calls for a serial number, which we do not have.  I obtained the original CS3 while registered as a student at Dixie State University.  The Coupon Code is: HL1A-003B-L2AO.  There are only 7 days remaining on the new trial period.  I e-mailed Adobe requesting a serial number several days ago, but have not received a response.  How do I secure the serial number?  Rollo B.

    Hi.\
Welcome to the Photoshop user to user forums. Since we are not Adobe employees, we can't fix serial number and activation problems. Only Customer Care can do this.

  • How to replace old ipod with new one

I have just got an iPhone 64gb as my 32gb iPod touch is full.  How do I transfer the contents from my old iPod to my new iPhone?  It should be simple but doesn't seem to be!

Thanks.  I think the problem is that the c:drive on my computer is full and so it does not have the capacity to do it.  I have a new computer and have managed to copy the downloads on to the new computer but it won't sync the rest of the music because I think the old device is the registered device.  If that makes sense!

  • How do I remove one failing hard drive from raid set and replace with new one

Last Friday apparently one of my raid drives started failing.
As I mentioned on this forum I started getting continous beeping.
I was finally able to get the raid working at a degraded level.  I ordered a replacement hard drive which is arriving today.
(In the meantime I made twice daily backups of my work.....)
Below was the message I got from the browser based raid software:
    Blahblah 09    1000.2GB   RaidSet Member SamSung HD103SJ
    Blahblah 10    1000.2GB     Free                 SamSung HD103SJ

(See this earlier thread if you wish!)
    http://forums.adobe.com/thread/727867?tstart=0
At one point when I did the checked the browser interface I saw the message Failed and Degraded
As I said, I was able to work over the weekend on the degraded system.
This morning I got the beeping again and did the rescue and now I am running a "full raid" without the notice that one raid was "Free".
In any case, the new hard drive is arriving today.
What steps should I take to incorporate the new drive into the raid system.
    I have one OS drive
and 4 tb raid drives.   One needs to be replaced with the new one that I am getting today.
    Thanks

    Harm,
    Regarding your comment:
Re: How do I remove one failing hard drive from raid set and replace with new one
Please tell me how to read the serial number from an individual drive rather easily, without un-installing them:
If you select the proper drive to change out, you only need to remove one drive and look at its serial number...
Step 1: Identify bad drive serial number using Areca's tools
Step 2: Turn off the computer
Step 3: Remove what you think is the bad drive based on following your numbered cable method, marked hot-swap bays, whatever
Step 4: Verify that the serial number matches the "bad drive" serial number from step 1; if it does great, proceed; if it does not match, go back to step 3
Step 5: Change out the CORRECT drive - that's the bottom line for this whole procedure
    Cheers,
    Jim

The best thing to do would be to start over. Use Setup Assistant this time.
Boot into Recovery, launch Disk Utility, and erase the startup volume. This operation will destroy all data on the volume. Quit Disk Utility and install OS X. If your Mac was upgraded from an older version of OS X, you’ll need the Apple ID and password you used to upgrade, so make a note of those before you begin.
When you reboot, you'll be prompted to go through the initial setup process. That’s when you transfer the data from one of your backups. For a walkthrough, see here:
    Using Setup Assistant
Don't transfer the Guest account, if it was enabled on the old system.
Note: You need an always-on Ethernet or Wi-Fi connection to the Internet to use Recovery. It won’t work with USB or PPPoE modems, or with proxy servers, or with networks that require a certificate for authentication.
