Replacing pictures in theme..

Hi all,
I have the pictures in themes_11 in themes folder,i want to replace them with new design that i alreat design....now what i have to do to be able to use this template after modification and what changes must be done in order to see the new template in the list of templates in application Express

You have a theme already; you've created images that you want to use to replace the images in the theme you are using?

Have you checked, if your book is really set to the "Photos" Theme? This looks like you may have used one of the "Travel" themes. These themes create borders around the text boxes. When you select a theme, the book title will say "Photos", even if the theme is a different one.
For example, frames text boxes with the "travel" theme.
Have you previewed your book, before printing it? Did the framed boxes already show in the preview?

Replacing an existeing theme with a new one

Hello,
I have an application built that require some new cosmetics. How can I replace the current theme to a new theme without disturbing it's navigation and functionality?

Recently i got my Macbookpro repair through apple service centre. As per them motherboard is required to be replace.I ask them after repair to return my old board-the service centre told me that apple will provided new board only on return of old one?

Do you think you hit delete? Did you misplace them? Did your phone or PC malfunction?
Did you check in your Photo Galary on your phone?
Did you do a search on your pc for all "pics" files?

Replacing pictures in albums?

I'm sure this has been covered more than once, but I'm must not be searching the wrong terms . . . Anyway, I just upgraded to iLife06 from 04. Things are fine for the most part, but the last few photos I added before upgrading are now being replaced by other pictures within my albums. I deleted the newly imported pictures and re-imported them (only about 40 of them). Everything looked fine, but I closed iPhoto and reopened it and noticed that some of my newly imported photos that were in my library were missing from my newly created album, and some photos had been replaced with old ones (for some reason iPhoto likes replacing new pictures with ones from 2003). I closed iPhoto and reopened again and it asked if I wanted to import 42 photos that had not been imported last time. I said no, and now the photos are gone. I have gone through this twice. Any suggestions? Thank you.

Welcome to the Apple Discussions. Sounds like the thumbnails data files are messed up so you might try rebuilding the library by launching iPhoto with the Command+Option keys depressed and follow the instructions to rebuild the library. Select the first three options and omit the orphaned files one.
Before doing so, make a backup copy of the iPhoto Library folder (select and type Command-D). In the original folder move the three thumbnail data files, Thumb32Segment.data, Thumb64Segment.data and ThumbJPGSegment.data, to the desktop and then rebuild. This will give you new thumbnail files, thumbnail data files and new library data base.
If that doesn't work I do have a workaround for creating a new library from scratch and keeping the keywords. Starting over with a fresh library and fresh import of your original and modified files (if there are those that you want to keep the edited version) from the old library should give a good working library. If you're interested post back and I'll post the link to the tutorial the workflow.

Replacing pictures in interactive slideshow

I am currently working on a CS5 InDesign interactive project. I have 3 thumbnail buttons which trigger larger pictures on the same page. All works fine when clicked in order, but I cannot go backwards (by clicking back to thumbnail 1 for example) and get the large picture to show again as it sticks on the last picture that was loaded. Would greatly appreciate a solution if possible.

Folders in Aperture - Can't store pictures in them.

In Aperture2, I created folders within projects, and imported pictures into the folders. In Aperture3, I don't see any way to get my pictures into folders. I can't select a folder when I try to Drag and Drop from finder, or use Import.

Something is strange. Won't be the first time.
The interface generally shows:
. a Toolbar at the top, and
. one, two, or three tiled panes
The tiled panes show one or more of:
. the Inspector
. the Viewer
. the Browser
The Inspector shows three tabs:
. Library
. Metadata, and
. Adjustments
The tiled panes can be repositioned. Referring to them by placement (top, left, etc.) can mislead.
You are talking about the Library tab of the Inspector. The Library shows an outline. Sections with children can be expanding or collapsed using the standard OS X disclosure triangles.
The Library tab of the Inspector has two top-level sections:
. YOURLIBRARYNAME, and
. PROJECTS & ALBUMS
Under "YourLibraryName" there should be six default sections ("Faces" will not show if you have it turned off in Prefs).
I have two questions about your "Projects & Albums" section.
- How do you create one of these "blue folders" that you have as children of the "yellow Project box"?
- What shows on the context-sensitive menu when you right-click a "blue folder" that contains images? In particular, is "Delete Folder" one of the selections?
And you specified one thing which I don't understand:
At the top left of the Aperture left panel mine reads Projects. That corresponds to the yellow 'Project' drawer Projects & Albums' down the left side.
Can you explain that again for me?
PS: Here is the entry in Aperture's Glossary for "Folder":
folder
A type of container in the Aperture library used to organize projects and albums within projects. Folders do not contain images.

Iphoto is scrambling my picture folder. When I sync, it mixes up the pictures in the folders. approximately 1/3rd of my foilders are okay, with the correct pictures in them, but the rest are completely mixed up.

I synced and when I looked at my folders, the wrong pictures were in them. I checked in iPhoto, and the pictures were in the correct folders there. they get messed up when I sync on both my Ipad 2 and my Iphone 5.

Your post is not clear as in iPhoto for the Mac folders do not contain photos - and the order of photos on an IOS device is not determined by iPhoto on the Mac - it is determined by the photos program on the IOS device - I suspct you nee to ask in an IOS for iPhone or iPad foum - although I'm not really clear on what your question is
And iphoto does not (and can not) make any change o any file or folder outside of the iPhoto library - it simply has no ability to do that so iphoto is not every doing anything to your pictures folder

Can iPod minis play movies- and can you put pictures on them?

Hi everyone, I updated my ipod recently and I was wondering if i can download pictures and movies on my ipod mini. I tried cheking on the official site for info on the mini but there wasn't anything. Also in the movies section they didn't mention if ipod minis are compatible with it or not.
I'm really confused because my friend said i should be able to download my pictures on to it, but i don't even think my mini has colour.

The iPod Mini won't display photos or play video of any kind. The replacement for the Mini was the iPod Nano which has a colour display and will show photos which is possibly where the confusion had arisen. About bulk replacing pictures in Ai

Most of the time I got issue with placed pictures that I have to take a lot of time to do it one by one, so I am looking for any action to peform in bulk as follow:
1. Select all pictures and change their 'Placment Options'
2. Replace all pictures with only one same picture
3. Cancel the repacement at once (if you select 100 pictures to relink, then you decide to cancel you'll have to press Esc 100 times too!)
I tried to create action for Placement Options too, but seems that the action cannot be recorded with such activity.
Are all these improved in CS6?

Replace pictures with small number of pixels

I imported pictures, edited all of them, then noticed that they are small, eg. size 190 KB. Trouble!!! Is there any way to link the edited images with the full size images that are of several MB's?? Hate to lose all the work that was done in editing.

I am on a Mac. Below is sad saga of what happened!
1. Downloaded trip photos from Canon SX50 in early 2012, stored in file
2. Inserted Powerpoint slides that show country, city, with history, etc to create travelogue. These slides are in MB (eg. 3.5 MB, 1.4MB, etc.)
3. Learned about Lightroom 5 from friend a month ago, wanted to edit photos in Lightroom 5, so saved photos and powerpoint slides on computer A to an external drive. Imported photos from external drive to computer B that has Lightroom 5 software
4. Edited all photos
5. Exported edited photos to hard drive, into file of LR edited pictures
6. Dumped original files (bad move!)
7. Noticed that exported photos are all in KB's. Checked in LIghtroom. Lightroom shows small image sizes.
8. Reloaded original files with photos from external drive as before. Tried to relink with photos in Lightroom. Did not work.

What has best replaced Picture Publisher ?

Help! For many years one of my favorite programs has been Micrografx Picture Publisher (that an Xara Xtreme.)
I have been able to continue using Picture Publisher until recently but Windows 7 will not accept. It was excellent for scanning in cartoons and adding colour. Sometimes old programs did certain things very well. What Adobe product has incorporated its features ? I like Photoshop for pictures, but it doesn't handle or colour cartoons well. Not sure in what forum this questions is best raised. Anyone help ? Thanks, Neil

It seems that either no one is particularly interested or no one knows the answer. Perhaps you are right that I've answered my own questions.
I like to draw cartoons. I scan them into the computer and colour them there. It worked extremely well in Picture Publisher. I could also select, invert and copy and then place cartoon characters into photgraphs (havin eliminated the white square). I can do none of these things as well as I could with Picture Publisher. Strange that when you get used to doing something in a particular program, you miss it when it's gone.
I have Photoshp, Corel Draw, Corel Paint and Xara and they all do many things well, but I can't handle colourr with them as well as I could in Picture Publisher.

PC Died with all my pictures on them

My system died with all my data and information on it. The data I can recover, my pictures are what I can't recreate. The picture were synced to my Apple TV can i back them up off of the Apple TV or sync back into my new system?

Welcome to the  Discussion Forums.
Unfortunately recovering content from the tv is none to easy. If the pictures are valuable to you, you may consider being willing to void the warranty on the tv to get them back as recovery proceedures mean opening the device and removing the drive or hacking into it. If you are at all unsure about what to do, take the unit to a data recovery expert, preferably one with experience of macs.

Moving Still picture with Theme

Hi - I used to be able to choose a theme and "position" the picture (s) in the drop zone (s) the way I liked it. Now it won't let me do that.
Am I missing something?
