Replenishment in SAP Retail - Article with multiple UOM/EAN

Dear all,
I am using SAP Retail. I have an article with multiple unit of measurement as well as multiple EAN. A good example of this article will be canned soft drinks. It comes in pack size of each, 6, 12, 24. I have only one article number for this soft drink but I maintained multiple UOM and EAN for this article.
When I run auto-replenishment, I can only run it based on one of the packed size (fixed it as the default ordering unit).
Is it possible to run auto-replenishment for the various packed size?
Best Regards
Junwen

Hi,
One suggestion. You can buy it in UOM bottle, minimum qty: 6 bottle. Multiples: Your vendor that decide the package size. When you do the GR then set the UOM of the size package, set a lot size calculation (each 6 units) or rounding profile.

Eduardo

  • Replenishment in SAP-Retail

    Hey,
My requirement is to group certain customers having same replenishment requirements and then assigning it to materials with defined replenishment parameters.
I have figured how to trigger the replenishment parameters at a material group level or merchandise category(for retail) level.
This is done by using the "Requirements Grouping" field in reference material for the material group.
Please tell me if its possible to maintain replenishment requirements and parameters for a group of external customers for materials.
    -Shubit

yes..your are correct and thanks for the help.
but see,I had actually done all that and it is reflecting correctly against the material when im checking the parameters of replenishment in WR60.
My issue now is that, I want to make these parameters avaialable for non-retail or external customers which we create in XD01....I know how these parameters are gettin reflected for stores but what shall be done for specific customers we create from xd01.
As,I want to maintain one material, its replenishment parameter for multiple external customers at once and not by one by one(this one by one assignment which can be done in the Article Master-Logistics Store view).
Im maintaining competitor group now which is in Site master-Merchandise category view...one can assign external customers to a competitor group...but I dont see it getting reflected when im creating the article in that particular site, and hence i dont see the parameters maintained for the customers that are in that class in WR60.
Please tell me if theres any way I can maintain parametrs for numerous customers at once for replenishment for an article.
    Thanks!

  • SAP Retail : Article Master Data Transfer using LSMW/ARTMAS05: EAN Error

    Hi Bjorn Panter,
I want to thank you for providing very informative articles on the Master Data of ERP Retail.
We are currently loading articles to SAP from legacy and use your articles on ERP Retail as part of our knowledge warehouse.
We have encountered an error which has stumped our conversion.
We are getting an M3 535 error stating that "First specify the main EAN for the unit EA".  We are using LSMW (IDOC Method, Basic Type ARTMAS05).
Our MARM segments have generic and variants.  The UPC and UPC category (set to UC) are filled for the variants and blank in the segment containing the generic.
Our MEAN segments contain variants only with the UPC and UPC category (set to UC) filled.
Our UC EAN category is configured with a blank check digit algorithm and a number range of 12 digits.  We are loading our variants with EANs that are 12 digits.
    When debugged IDOC_INPUT_ARTMAS, I noticed that :
In routine  MARM_UEBERGEBEN (in function module BAPI_MATERIAL_MAINTAINDATA_RT), this code clears our MARMX indicators :
       LOOP AT UNITSOFMEASURE.
        ART_DATA_EXISTS = 'X'.    "JH/05.01.00/4.6C Entkopplung der MALG
IF UNITSOFMEASURE-FUNCTION NE C_MSGFN_D.   ->>>> this checks if our function code is 003 (which is a delete).
    *     TMFIELDRES aufbauen
CLEAR UNITSOFMEASUREX.                   ->>>> Since we are doing a create, it clears the indicators in unitsofmeasureX
To bypass this clear, I debugged the program and overlayed the indicators and marked UPC and UPC category as 'X'.  This worked and we were able to post our IDOC successfully... THe UPCs showed in the MARM and MEAN tables.
However, knowing that there are a lot of Retail companies loading articles into their SAP system, it would seem odd that no one has reported this as a bug or no one has posted this issue in SDN.  I could not find any OSS note related to this issue either.
Can you please help us figure out what is wrong ? Have you encountered this error in the past ?  Is there something in config that we should check ?  Should we look at fields in our segments ?
Any help from you would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Sarah

    Dear Sarah,
please open an OSS customer message.
Put in a valid IDOC ARTMAS number with this error and open your system.
I guess either it is a bug in IODC structure or you found a bug in software.
    My colleages will take care.

  • Re-use of article numbers in SAP Retail - consequences for SAP BI ?

    Hello experts,
I´ve got another task concerning SAP BI 7.0 and Retail ECC 6.00. We are confronted with the following situation: The InfoObject 0MATERIAL is used for SAP Retail Article. 0MATERIAL has been extended with some specific attributes, but beside from this it´s still a standard Business Content object (lenght 18 characters etc.). We are loading data on a daily basis.
Now for the future there´s the intention to re-use already existing article numbers for different articles (!). E.g. article 012345678910111213 is now a bath towel, but somewhere in the future it changes into a computer or something else.
From my understanding, we cannot delete the "old" articles in SAP BI as long as they are used in any transactional data. We also cannot change the article text, because 0MATERIAL is not time-dependent. I know that we can make the texts time-dependent (valid from - valid to), but in this case the users have to know when the last change of every specific article has taken place - and this can´t be guaranteed. Beside from this, I can´t see a solution for the reporting on articles because they cannot be compared.
So - has anybody of you been confrontated with a similar situation and has been solved this problem ?
    Thank you very much.

    Alexander

  • How to use one PSE with multiple URLs?

I need to hit my DMZ SAP Web Dispatcher with multiple unique URLs.  I am starting off using webdisp1.abc.com and webdisp2.vde.com.  DNS will resolve both the Web Dispatcher Host.  Following Tobias Winterhalter's Blog: Name-based virtual hosts and one SAP Web Dispatcher to access multiple SAP systems.
My question is how do I go about generating the pse so I can store both webdisp1.abc.com and webdisp2.vde.com?  Do I just import the first request and initiate another certificate request using the same pse?
    Example
    sapgenpse gen_pse -s 2048 -p D:\<file path>\SAPSSLS.pse -r D:\<file path>\webdisp1.req CN=webdisp1.abc.com, OU=IT, O=XYZ Inc., C=US
    Cheers,
    Dan Mead

    Hi Daniel,
what you are looking for are so called SAN certificates. As Martin said, with sapgenpse you are pretty out of luck. However you can create the certificates using openssl and then use sapgenpse to import them into a pse. There are a number of guides on how to create SAN certificates on the web, like the one mentioned by Martin from CAcert (which is one of the best imho) or this one. And there are also guides on the internet on how to convert OpenSSL keys to PSE.
You should however keep in mind, that SAN certificates are more expensive than standard certificates. Therefor they only pay if the hostnames in there are stable for the lifetime of the certificate. If the hostnames need to change once a year, you already will be better off (from a cost perspective) by creating one pse per hostname an let the webdispatcher listen to different addresses, as each hostname requires a new certificate signed by the CA.
Please also make sure, the systems and browsers connecting to your webservers are able to understand SAN certificates. For SAP systems this requires at least pl24 of the sapcryptolib.
    Kind regards,
    Patrick

  • Article Deletion in SAP Retail

What is the process for deleting an article and then archiving the article in SAP Retail ECC6.0?  So far what I have is to:
    1.  Go to MM46 and find layouts for article
    2.  Go to WLWBN and Delete Assignments
    3.  Go to Assortment in WSP6 and delist from DC and stores.
    4.  Stop replenishment and procurement using MM42 go to Logistics -- General Control Param -- Article Status -- status block article
    5.  Go to ME15 and Mark Info Recs for deletion
    6.  WRF_DIS_SEL - Put in Article and then click "Client_Wide Article Discontinuation" to get green button.  Select All - discontinue
I need to know what is wrong with the above process, or what do I need to add to the above process?  The issue is that we will go into SARA and try to delete the article and the process ends up not being able to see the article for deletion.  We have no activity against the article and no inventory for that article.  So there must be something I am missing here.

Probably a bit too late, but check this information:

  • Handling of Hazardous Articles in SAP Retail

    Hi SAP Retail Experts
Would like to know the porcess in SAP to configure the hazardous goods management in Article master whereby we can accomodate the dangerous goods data from and external system into Article Master.

    Dear Pratim
I don't catch your question. Check e.g. SAP Environment, Health, and Safety Management (SAP EHS Management)
1.) the term "Dangerous Goods" and Hazard substance" is not the same
2.) In EHS classic you can get external data for DG use using ALE; same is true for hazardous substance master
I have no experience with SAP Retail. But according to SAP help: This is a SAP ECC/ERP system in a "special"  mode (you have activated an "industry specific" function). So you need to prepare EHS customizing

    Material type WERT is correct.
In Material type maintenance you can control at all if a store will be value only inventroy managmenet or both.
Further in the Site master WB02, you can control it on MC level.

  • Follow-Up and Replacement Articles in SAP Retail

    Hi everybody,
Iu2019m using SAP Retail and I need to maintain Follow-Up and Replacement Articles.
Iu2019ve created the Follow-Up Categories in the customizing and Iu2019ve assigned replacement article to the original article in transaction WRFFUART.
Does anyone know how the subsequent process works? If I create a Purchase Order or a Sales Order to the original article, does the system automatically replace it by the replacement Article? Iu2019ve tested this but there was no substitution.
    Thanks in advance,
    SN

    Hi Barbara,
I am analysing the functions for Follow-Up and Replacement Articles in SAP Retail ECC 6.0 Ehp. 3. I created Substitution profiles (SPRO: Logistics u2013 General -> Material Master -> Retail-Specific Settings -> Settings for Follow-Up/Replacement Material -> Maintain Follow-Up Categories) and assigned replacement article to the original article in transaction (WRFFUART). I also activated Substitution Processing and Start Replacement logic in Background (SPRO: Logistics u2013 General -> Substitution Processing -> Activate/Process Substitution Processing).
I tested the process steps you posted (ME21N, VL10B, WSUBST_WORKLIST). There was no automatically substitution after creating the outbound delivery. And the transaction WSUBST_WORKLIST just shows u201CNo data available for selectionu201D.
I analysed the application and found the table WSUBST_WORKLIST. It handles the entries for substitutions. It was empty. When I fill the table manually with data and run the WSUBST_WORKLIST the outbound delivery and the purchase order have a new position with the follow-up article but the original article is still there, unchanged.
Why did the substitution not start automatically in background and why is the original article still in the purchase order and outbound delivery?
It is also interesting, that the material quantity changed. The purchase order includes five units of the original article and the substituted article has a quantity of eight. I guess the reason is a rounding value for procurement.
The ERP 2005 documentation on help.sap.com ([Assigning Follow-Up and Replacement Articles ERP 2005|http://help.sap.com/erp2005_ehp_02/helpdata/en/a2/7c936660dc4da09a3a1d08ee7eeca2/frameset.htm]) describes a conversation factor for the units of measure of the original article and substitution article for each assignment. In the ECC 6.0 documentation ([Assigning Follow-Up and Replacement Articles ECC 6.0|http://help.sap.com/saphelp_erp60_sp/helpdata/en/a2/7c936660dc4da09a3a1d08ee7eeca2/frameset.htm]) this is missing. In the system I also could not find any type of conversation factor for Follow-Up and Replacement Articles.
Is this option not available in ECC 6.0 or where can I find it?

  • How to sale article in SAP UPC code and same UOM-

    Hi,
I  come across one scenario deal below:-
I have an apple  article A ( Fresh)  price -$10 /kg sale at first day
Same apple I want  to sale on  Price  -$7.00/kg as it is not fresh. (Second Day) . In the rack I have fresh Apple A  which has price of  $10/kg
How we handle the same in POS   and SAP retails.
Is price list works for  same ? If its please elaborate.
Looking for  your response  ASAP. Thanks - Sanjay Rahangdale

    Hi Sanjay,
You can easily have dual MRP for the Same Article/Same UPC, Only when the validity periods are different so that you can use VKP0 with different prices for different validity and send it to POS using COND_A or even WBBDLD(which takes VKP0 as a default condition type). You can send the price change but there will be only one price that can be even stored at the POS level for a given date/time in the store.
However i am afraid you can use the above approach as you are intending to sell the same article/same UPC at the same time in the store with different prices which according to me may not be achieveable from an SAP Retail standard perspective as Central ERP system will not have visibility of how many articles are fresh and how many are not.
Depending on the features of POS,there may be an option to print price embedded barcodes with a reduced price and tag it - like pack all those article that are not fresh and sell it a reduced price, or manually override the price at the POS for those articles that are not fresh(for which there must be a supervisor intervention at the POS depending on the authorisation limit set at the POS system)
    Hope it helps
    BR,
    Aram.

  • SAP APO with SAP Retail

    Hi,
Can SAP APO be implemented with SAP ECC Retail, if yes..can article master data be CIFed to APO or do we need to set up material master data.
    Thanks
    Sharad

    Hi Sharad,
I have attached a link in which you can refer the document via the menupath
SAP solutions > SAP for Retail > Documentation for SAP Retail
    http://help.sap.com/
"SAP for Retail Master Guide" wherein it details the integrated environment with SAP ECC Retail with SCM.(Page 48 of 79) has the integration chart in it.
Regarding master data ciffing, if you have already established all master data in SAP R/3 system, then you can use CIF for transferring master data.

  • User exit; Article master SAP Retail for MVKE table?

Is there a user exit in SAP Retail for the MVKE table?
The articles is maintained in a third-party system and are transferred to SAP via Idoc. For sales sets, article category = 10, these requires a item category = ERLA in SAP (MVKE-MTPOS) so that the sales set "explodes" in the sales order.
The third-party system doesn't maintain sales org-spesific data for the articles, therefor we use one ref.article for all article groups. And because sales sets exits in many article groups, we found it difficult to have ref.articles for all of these article groups.
Also the article type is also "normal",so the only way to differentiate the sales sets, are via article category. But since SAP has no link between article category and item category in customizing (as far as I know), I wonder if there is a user-exit to set the item category based on the article category?

    Hello Sonika,
WE_PLU is generally used along with the POS interface.
Please check this for more details
