Replicate Audo track to increase volume -- help!

Hi, I'm using FCE3.5.
I want to double the audio track in a particular sequence to increase the volume. For whatever reason, I can't copy and paste. I tried to hold option, and move... and, while the cross hairs and plus sign is displayed, the audio track moves, rather than duplicates. I tried copying and pasting, witghout success. Can anyone help me with this? Or, is there a better way to increase the volume beyond pushing the red line as far up as it will go?

Hi, since I am not an expert, sometimes the audio get recorded at low levels on the field (specially using microphones lavalier with people that talks very low.
To resolve this in the post, I used an audio filter applied directly to the audio track I needed to increase, and it works fine, so haven´t to copy paste the audio track.
look for effects-audio filters-final cut pro- search for - Low shelf filter - apply to the audio tracks, and then double click the tracks so you can see in the viewer the effect applied, and then increase the frecuency and then the gain so, combining these two keys you will notice the good incement.!
Take care of the background noises and the gissss...
also its a good idea to use the equalizer filter.

Volume gain fluctuation problem in iPad(random decreasing/increasing volume) with audio monitoring enabled.

I have one bass track and a drums track picked from loops and when playing the guitar(iPad2 with apogee jam connected) with monitoring enabled I get gain fluctuation problems(random decreasing/increasing volume, some times mute). When I stop playing the guitar audio feedback gets back to normal.

I'm wondering if you accidentally or unintentionally locked the audio in a segment/s where you intended to fade up or down. Altho you say it plays fine when you review it in iMovie. The place to review it is in iDVD. However adjustments are made in iMovie for the actual audio and video. Here's what I found in the Help Menu for iMovie since there isn't much info on the iDVD portion of the help menu for the same symptoms:
Making your movie louder or softer:
If you find that all or part of your movie is too loud or too soft, you can adjust the volume of your movie in the timeline viewer. You can increase or decrease the volume of the entire movie or just specific audio clips. For example, at a certain point in a video you might dramatically increase or decrease the volume of accompanying music.
IMPORTANT: These instructions are for setting the volume of video that people will hear as they play your movie. If you only want to adjust the volume of your computer's speakers, see "Adjusting the volume of your computer in iMovie HD" below.
To make your movie louder or softer:
Click the Timeline Viewer button (shown above).
Select the clip or clips whose volume you want to change in the timeline viewer.
Tip: To learn how to select multiple clips, see "Selecting clips" below.

Just out of curiosity .... is the source audio 12 bit or 16 bit?

Mp3 track time increases

For the last several months I have noticed that when every ripping CD's into mp3 in variable bitrates either from % to 00% quality with the Creative MediaSource 5 player, the time increases on the tracks. A 4 minute track can increase to 6 minutes, depending on the time of the track on the CD.
I have uninstalled and reinstalled the Creative Soundcard several times, upgraded drivers for soundcard plus upgraded the Creative Console. Still get ?the same results.
I have e-mailed Creative support 3 x's about this issue from the e-mail support page, but each time I do this I get an e-mail back from them stating that they did not receive the e-mail, only the information on my computer system. Below is my computer system. System has been updated with all the Windows updates.

Hard to believe they wasted programming code to actually create a bug on purpose... I would gladly choose to have a large minutes and seconds countdown timer option to be displayed instead of the album cover... This would be incredibly useful for my use as a fitness instructor.

One thing can may help a little is the following. Right click the speaker icon in the Taskbar and select 'Playback Devices'. Left click the default device once to highlight it ( it's usually 'speakers & headphones' ) then click the Properties button. Click the Enhancements tab and put a tick in the box next to 'Loudness Equalization'. Click Apply to save the change and then click OK in all remaining windows and see if this has helped at all.

I cannot increase volume on Voice Memo

Does anyone know how to increase volume on Voice Memo?
I almost do not hear my messages (unless I shout or put my phone in front of my lips and talk loud).

Just got a 3GS today and this volume problem was one of the first things I noticed. This has to be fixed - teling people they have to use a headset mic or somesuch, when the speakerphone usage of the built-in mic works just fine, is a cop-out. Obviously an oversight ("bug") in the code. Now if someone could just figure out what the file type of the voice memos is, one could take the files of 3rd party apps that do record at a proper volume and make iTunes recognize them as voice memos. If Apple's going to release something they consider a core iPhone app in this shoddy condition, it's only fair if we get some sort of functional workaround rather than wait for someone's bugfix inbox queue in Cupertino to get caught up on.

Track delays before playing - Help please

DSP - 3 One of my tracks seems to delay before playing and I end up with a black screen before it begins. I went back to Final Cut and can't find any problem with it there. All my other tracks start fine. Help please.

Where are you seeing this? On a DVD player or in Simulator? What kind of menu are you using?
The delay on a disc is usually (but not always) related to where the menu is physically located (usually near the spindle hole) compared to the track (anywhere else moving outwards towards the edge of the disc), and the routing tables which DVDSP creates on your behalf when the disc is built. Not all menu/track relationships will see the same delay and you can perhaps reduce it by adding the asset for the troublesome track into another track and setting it apart with a story. Your menu can then point to the assets within the story and it should make a difference.
However, the delay you see on your player will almost certainly be different to that seen on another player - without using a spec level authoring package (or trying it in DVDSP4 where you can move menus into specific VTSs) you may well be stuck with it as it is if adding the asset to an existing track doesn't work.

Unfortunately, if you didnt' enable Find My iPhone on it before it was lost, there is no way to track it. Also, don't post your personal information on a public forum like this.

After Effects CC: 3D Camera Tracker - No Render Points [HELP]

So I edit Call Of Duty videos and uplaod them to youtube, i always use the 3D Camera Tracker and it usually works perfectly. But, i recently reset my computer and re-donwloaded After Effects, and now my Camera Tracker is Analyzing AND Solving the footage with no errors, but after its done solving no render points come up unless i check "Render Track Points" in the Effects and Controls Window, and if i do that none of the Track Points are clickable. I made sure it is in Full res, the footage layer is selected, and the 3D Camera Tracker fx is selected and turned on in the Effects and Presets window. I get no errors at all and no "Unable To Solve For This Frame" error, so the footage should be able to be tracked, right? Please Help! D:

I had the same problem, I think the way I fixed it is by making sure the clip is exactly the same frame rate as the composition. I'm having the problem again, but matching the frame rate doesn't effect the results...
Mylenium and Rick, I don't think either of those are the answers. I've done both and neither solved the problem. I know it's nothing advanced, it's a minor thing I can't put my finger on.

There is also a manual method of accessing the iPod's hard drive and copying songs back to iTunes on Windows or a Mac. The procedure is a bit involved and won't recover playlists but if you're interested it's available at this link: Two-way Street: Moving Music Off the iPod
I would also advise that you get yourself an external hard drive and back your stuff up, relying on an iPod as your sole backup is not a good idea and external drives are comparatively inexpensive these days, you can get loads of storage for a reasonable outlay.

As someone already answered, if both volumes are striped against all available disks, you can put everything in one volume and expect equal or better performance.
However, I want to warn you from optimizing the disk structure without knowing that your database will really bottleneck on disk access to index and data blocks. My storage manager and I wasted countless hours with such optimizations before realizing that we are wasting our time because the application code contains so many functions that disk IO is not even close to being an issue.

Hi there! Yes there a even easier way to save your settings. You can save them and name them as "profiles" that you can use in future projects. I will be creating a tutorial sometime this week or next on how to do this extra. I can not mix music in about 15 mins now where it use to take me 2-4 hours.
