Replication port used in TimesTen 5.1.35
Hi,
Can you please tell me what is the default port number used by TimesTen replication in version 5.1.35 ?
Regards
Pratheej
If you're using AUTO port assignment for replication (ie not specifying a PORT in your Create Replication SQL), then use ttRepAdmin -showstatus to see what the port is that's been assigned by the OS. This is also specified in the timestend.log when the replication threads are starting up. There isn't a default port used otherwise. The agent will just use whatever it's assigned by the OS on each startup.

ACS 4.2 - is it possible to change replication port?
Hi,
trying to find out if it some tweek to change the ACS replication port TCP/2000 to something else.
I know it's possible to make a different policy-map or to not inspect the Skinny protocol to avoid conflict, but that not the solution I'm looking for. Wondering if anybody knows of a different way to change the replication port in ACS 4.2.Hi,
what is the version of ACS you are running?
If you are running ACS 4.2.1.15 then,
Problem :
=========
ACS replication port re-configuration.
Resolution :
============
Please follow the following steps:
1. Interface configuration > Advanced Options > Check the checkbox ACS
Communication Port Configuration.
2. System Configuration > service control > Configure the Port to be
used for the ACS Internal Communication (choose any port between 2010 to
2025)

One or more ports used by the Compute Emulator are currently used by other processes
Environment:
VS 2012 Professional
Azure SDK October 2012
Windows 8
I lost the last few days of my life struggling with a weird issue in the emulator. I just ran out of options and I would really appreciate if someone could help me figure out what's wrong.
I am trying to debug a service package from Visual Studio 2012. It's really just about any package -- even the ones generated from a Windows Azure Cloud Service VS template. Any. The VS debugger starts, and in parallel there's "Starting the Windows Azure Debugging
Environment" dialog which shows "Deploying service package to the Windows Azure compute emulator..." message.
The progress bar shown in the dialog gets stuck for a long time (possibly even for an hour or longer!) at some 60% and then the following error message is shown:
"One or more ports used by the Compute Emulator are currently used by other processes. To resolve this, please see MSDN documentation at http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/hh472164.aspx"
There doesn't seem to be anything else listening on the ports mentioned on the above MSDN page. I did nevertheless try to re-map devfabric and agent ports by specifying different values in the .config files mentioned on the page, but that did not help.
What I also tried and did not help:
- reinstalled SDK, IIS Express, Local DB
- reinstalled VS 2012 (yes, I got that desperate)
- tried using IIS instead
- used SysInternals TcpView to check if there are any conflicts
- rebooted the machine: the deployment works initially (*once*), and the subsequent deployments fail (!)
- tried to kill all Azure-related processes in memory and restart debugging
- tried looking into log files under the user directory (dftmp\...); no errors in *any* log
- tried looking into Event Viewer logs (Azure-related and in general); no errors either
Since the conflict seems to be related to my current network settings, below is my IP
configuration. I am behind a router and I have DHCP activated, but again that should not matter since none of that has changed in the last few years (and the emulator did work until few days ago).

▲Hi,
Unfortunately I already tried all kinds of re-installs (the full list is in my original message). The only one remaining is the reinstall of Windows 8 itself, which I would really like to avoid.
What I find really strange is the time it takes for the above error message to appear. It's like one hour or even more (never measured exactly, I left the computer running).
What kind of a timeout is that? I would expect that, if ports are really used by some other application, I get the message in less than a minute (seconds, actually). To me this looks like the emulator itself for some reason believes there's a problem with
some port while in reality there isn't.
I'll eventually contact Microsoft Support, thanks for the suggestion.

Path and filename containt the list of port used by OAS R3
Could someone tell me the path and the file name that contains the port used by OAS R3.
ThanksPrevious versions used to have $OH/install/portlist.ini, this one doesn't but you can check ports used in....
httpd.conf
Check for directives
Port
Listen
opmnctl status -l
this will tell you the ports used by the OC4J, for rmi, ajp and jms for each one.
And I think with this will do the trick, or if you need more, tell me.

How to transfer file from PC to PC via serial port using labview
I need to transfer files(.txt, .doc, .xls) from PC to PC via serial port using LabVIEW. Is it possible to transfer files, if so how to transfer?
Solved!
Go to Solution.Yes, it is possible to transfer files with the serial port using LabVIEW. Files are just collections of bytes and the serial port is pretty good at shipping bytes from one PC to another. You need to connect the serial ports together with a null modem cable.
First, take a look at the example for serial communication. In LabVIEW, go to the Help menu and select "Find Examples...". From there you can search for "serial" or navigate to Hardware Input and Output >> Serial. Select the "Basic Serial Write and Read.vi". Experiment with that example to gain confidence on the serial communication methods.
Next, it's time to learn about how to read and write files. For that, the examples could be somewhat confusing since they all deal with files that are presumed to have data of a specific type in them. I would recommend just getting familiar with the functions on the File I/O palette. Specifically, get to know the following functions.
Open/Create/Replace File - On your destination side, you'll need to create the copy of the file that you are trying to transfer
Close File - When you are finished reading from or writing to a file, you should close it. It cleans up the memory being used and finalizes any write operations that are still floating in the write buffer.
Read From Binary File - The best way to read from a file when you do not really care what type of file it is. In your case, you just want to get those bytes read and sent out so they can be written down at the destination.
Write to Binary File - At the destination side, this is what will store those bytes to the file you created with number 1.
Get File Size (under the Advanced File Functions sub-palette) - You need to know how big the file is so you know when you are finished.
OK, so once you are able to create files, write bytes to them, and read bytes from existing files you can move on to transferring.
The basic method I would suggest is to have the user specify a source file on the source PC and a destination folder on the destination PC. Then, find out the size of the source file using number 5. Divide that size number by the number of bytes you feel like transferring at once. The serial buffers are usually around 32k (if I remember correctly) so do not exceed that. Now begin sending data by reading some number of bytes and wiring that string output to the VISA Write function. On the destination side, you'll want to be monitoring the serial port for bytes and reading them when they arrive. Wire that string to the Write to Binary File function to add them to your destination file.
That is the basic outline of how to do it. You have to be careful not to overload the write and read buffers on the serial ports. Initially you can use delays on the sending side to make sure the reading side has enough time to digest. To get things moving faster, you can bring in some flow control.
If all that sounds a bit intimidating, there are Alliance Member companies out there (such as PrimeTest Automation) who can write such code for you and even provide a turnkey solution for you.
Happy wiring,

Add and Remove Publishers from Replication Monitor using T SQL
Is there any possibility to add an Publishers from Replication Monitor using T SQL.i am trying to configure the replication using T SQL..i can create all other steps but didn't find any way to add publisher to the replication monitor..kindly suggest..
Hi Snehasis,
Tom is correct, there is no T-SQL command to add a publisher to Replication Monitor. However, the server from which you launch Replication Monitor will automatically be added to Replication Monitor if it is a Publisher. Also, you can add additional
Publishers using the Add Publisher dialog.
This is covered in

KarolHi Karol,
by navigating to:
Content Administration -> Collaboration Content -> (Room Administration -> Related Topics) -> Configure Backend Properties for Rooms
you can change the Webprotocol to http:// and set server port to 50000 (default port).
To see the SSL Port you can go in the Visual Administrator to Services -> "HTTP Provider Services".

Problem while creating logical port using soamanager
Hi all,
I have created a client proxy for web service from a 3rd party system.
When i am creating a logical port for the same consumer proxy i get a error as follows:
RABAX_STATE -e: UNCAUGHT_EXCEPTION
and a dump saying
" The exception 'CX_SXMLP' was raised, but it was not caught anywhere along the call hierarchy.
Since exceptions represent error situations and this error was not adequately responded to, the running ABAP program
'CL_SXMLP_FRAGMENT=============CP' has to be terminated.
Please suggest what can be done or what can be the problem.
Thanks in advance.
KomalPls go to txn SM59 and check if the RFC destination for webservice is working in the test connection.
Then go to txn LPCONFIG and create the logical port using the RFC dest. Pls mention the path suffix appropriately.
Next in your code while instantiating the client proxy pass the logical port name in the constructor (if the LP is not maintained as default).
Pls reward points if the tips are helpful. -
Change port used to send SMTP e-mail
I am trying to send e-mail notifications using a .vi. My company has blocked SMTP port 25 to prevent SPAM. My IT has told me that there is another port I can use to send e-mail. It is possible for me to change, IN LABVIEW, the port used to send e-mail?
Thank you.Without modifying NI's SMTP library the answer is no. The port they use (25, standard SMTP port) is hardcoded in their library.

WCF static send port, use of custom behavior to change the endpoint location?
The send port is outbound to various web service endpoints, all of which is the same WSDL just different location. Prefer to use the static port for features like ordered delivery. Is it possible to change the Microsoft.XLANGs.BaseTypes.Address dynamically
by a custom behavior?
https://ninithepug.wordpress.com/Hi,
You can make static send ports partially dynamic, this can be achieved in a custom pipeline component in the send pipeline.
You should refer to the below mentioned articles:
