Replies / showing complete email correspondence "threads"

I recently transferred my email to "Mail" on my laptop (the stamp icon at the dock). ....so I started an email and replied back and forth several times. How come all replies from the beginning don't show in the most recent email? I automatically went to scroll down to the first email to reference something in a later reply and found that all the back and forth conversations weren't there (like how "Lotus Notes email" does it at my job). Does this happen to everyone or is it just me or the way I have my default settings? Thank you!

Open Mail's preferences. In the Composing panel, do you have checked "Quote the text of the original message"? If not, enabling that may help. If you want to see the same sort of thing Lotus Notes shows you, you'll have to wait a little while. See the "Conversations" section of this Web page.

Spotlight shows completely deleted messages in iOS 8.1

Spotlight shows completely deleted email messages and sms (emails are deleted both from sent and trash) in ios 8.1.
Some emails marked with blue circle (like a new message) and I can open them and see attachments and text.
When open message without blue circle, only Mail App start (or Messages App in case of sms).
I noticed that the blue circle and ability to see all text and attachments in deleted letter appears in the case when during editing letter Swipe Down gesture was used.
Note that the problem affects only sent messages. Incoming removed correctly.
3 iPhones is fully restored as a new, 2 iPads - same situation.
Too bad about the confidentiality of data with this problem. And ios device storege too.

8330 Replies to an Email in Outlook resend original email

I have an end user who lately has been having issues with his emails resending to his Blackberry. When he replies to an email, it will resend the original to his Blackberry. He was on the BES server, but I deleted him. He is setup via IMAP via BIS. We have deleted and readded him multiple times. I'm stumped as to what could be causing it. We can't setup OWA on his phone so it's not an option.
I did find something about looking at the REFID and he told me the duplicate email is always one less than the original. Anyone have any ideas?

Did you set Arial as the +Body default or change the font to use Arial? It sounds like the font is not set in the mail, so outlook uses the default +Body font. Set Arial as the default in format text > change styles. complete instructions are here:

More than 10 email accounts in TB - Not Showing all emails

Not showing all emails in UNIFIED Inbox Folder
I HAVE SETUP MORE THAN 10 EMAIL ACCOUNTS IN TB. THEN I SENT A TEST EMAIL TO ALL OF MY EMAIL ACCOUNTS.
WHEN I CHECK INBOX OF INDIVIDUAL EMAIL ACCOUNT, THERE IS EMAIL AND SHOWING IN INDIVIDUAL INBOX OF ALL EMAIL ACCOUNTS BUT UNFORTUANTELY IT IS NOT SHOWING IN UNIFIED FOLDER of ALL INBOXES. Unified Inbox Folder of all Emails Accounts is only showing few of them.

Why can't i receive replies to my emails?

I can't receive any replies to my emails sent from my iPhone 4S or computer (I have a Mac OS X version 10.9.4). Sometimes replies show up on my iPhone but when I go to read them they disappear. On my computer they don't appear at all. Other emails arrive to both devices with no problem. Can anyone help me to rectify this please?

Considering that Firefox doesn't do email, that problem is probably caused by your webmail portal software not being totally compatible with Firefox. If you tell which webmail service you use maybe another user who is familiar with that service can help you.

Z10 Lock Screen showing deleted emails

hey folks,
So i have an issue with my Z10 where the lock screen is showing 2 emails that were deleted from my inbox.
I have already validated that, no, there are no unread emails in my HUB (no red astericks and no numbers for the mailboxes).
I have restarted my device several times which, unfortunately, hasn't helped.
New emails are showing up in the screen as per normal and are disappearing as the messages are read/deleted. It's just these 2 that appear to be stuck.

You've deleted those two, any chance they are filed as well?
And on your restart of the the device, try a powered on Battery pull.

Apple mail out of office rule is sending auto replies to all emails not just newly received emails--HELP! I set up the rule according to another apple support thread and instead of only sending the reply to new mail received, it was sent to all messages I believe that were in my INBOX, thankfully I only had a few but several people that hadn't sent me emails since I set up the rule, received the OUT OF OFFICE reply. Please help. Here is the procedure I followed for the out of office rule-

I just used my email account which is a business account- not an ECU account but these rules according to the apple thread apply for all emails. Thank you

You can set it easily...
To access this feature in Apple's Mail app, right click on any sub-folder (like your exchange inbox on the left) and choose "Get Account Info." A window will pop up that looks like the one below. Make sure to select your Exchange account from the Account dropdown. Then click on the Out Of Office tab. If you have ever put in an Out of Office message in the past it will be displayed here. You can adjust and set your Out of Office from Apple Mail from within this tab.

Iphone 4s showing duplicate email account @me and cloud

I just purchased a new Macbook Air and was setting up the cloud services on my phone and on my new MB Air. I've had the phone for a while, and had set up the email account on the phone as my mobile me account. When I set up the cloud service on my MB Air and on my Iphone 4s, I was asked to merge the account from the mobile me to the icloud service. I followed all the instructions and everything worked like a charm - contacts updated to my devices, photos etc. However I just noticed a problem on my iPhone, which now when I look at my email icon, it says 66 emails, when I open it up, it showing 2 accounts, both say iCloud, however one is the actual iCloud icon and the other has the mobile me cloud icon. When I went into my settings on my iphone, I figured I'd just go and delete the mobile me email account, however it says (iCloud - account says my mobile me email address).
I'm not sure i want to delete the account, because if I uncheck the Mail (turn it off), all of my emails go away. When I turn it on, it shows duplicate email accounts.
I must be doing something wrong, but have been racking my brain for the last hour or so and I just can't seem to figure it out.
Any help???

I actually worked it out - I deleted it and started it back up again - not sure why it did it in the first place, but I did find others who had the problem and explained how to fix it:

Passport does not auto complete email addresses

when typing email address, the old BB used to suggest and auto complete email addresses. Now when i start typing an email address it shows a button "LOOK UP ..." then it shows the list of possible matches once i press the button. what do i need to change to make it do matches automatically without the need for the button push.
I have seen alot of people complain about this but no solution.

Auto complete and the suggestion are two separte functions.
With the contacts in my contacts app there is no issue with me doing either.

Have made sure it's deleted from Contacts and made sure it's deleted from "Previous Recipients" list in Mail. But it still keeps reappearing ... obviously a secret cache file hidden somewhere?

Autocomplete has nothing to do with this problem.
From the Mail menu bar, select
Window ▹ Connection Doctor
Look for a disused SMTP (outgoing mail) account in the window that opens. Double-click it. Another window will open, showing a list of all the outgoing mail accounts. The unwanted one will be selected. Click the minus-sign button to delete it, then click OK.
If there's more than one unwanted account, repeat.

How do you get Mountain Lion Mail to show sent email size?

I upgraded to mountain lion I think a couple months ago so I don't remember exactly when I lost this feature, but in Snow Leopard for sure there was an option that when composing a new email, a little bar across the bottom of the email showed the size of your email so when you were adding attachments you could see the size your email was getting to be. I obviously haven't used that in a while because I ahvent' sent attachments in a long while, but I have recently started to do that again and tonight when I was adding files, there was no bar across the bottom of the email at all so I have no idea what size my email was. Even when I hit send and the progress bar in the bottom left of Mail ("Mail Activity") that use to show the file size right underneath the bar also now no longer shows the size so I have absolutely no idea how big the email I sent was.
Can anyone tell me how to get the option back to show the email size of the mail your composing in that little bar on the bottom of your email as well as the file size to display as you are sending in "Mail Actiivity" window? Thanks so much if anyone can help. Thank you!

Thanks for the help Niel. I couldn't change the rescue email address (an address that no longer exists and is therefore useless) until I could correctly answer the security questions. After numerous guesses, finally got them right. Was then presented with the option to change the rescue email address. Guess the only other option was to have Apple Support make the change or reset my account info. Have made note of the correct answers so this won't happen again. Thanks for the fast response!!
