Reply and forward not working in full screen mail app

In the full screen version of the Mail application in Lion I can't reply or forward any messages. I have to go back to the old view in order to respond to mail. Is anyone else having this problem and if so, is there a fix? The full screen apps and new mail program were a major reason I upgraded..

I regularly experience the same problem. It also occurs with Compose.
Sometimes Compose, Reply and Forward work fine in full screen mode. But frequently they don't, and I have to exit full screen mode to regain functionality. I have not been able to detect any pattern.

Mail reply and forwarding not working

After using Mail for three years, suddenly the reply and forwarding functions do not work. The replies and forwards are in the Sent mail but do not reach the recipients.
I spoke to Mac support about 10 days ago and we created a new acct. and imported the emails. Things worked for awhile, but the same problem has started again.
When I use my Comcast web mail the replies and forwards do work.
No trouble receiving mail.

Satellite A300-20P - Games with Windows 7 not working in full screen

I have Satellite A300-20P and VGA ATI 3650
I made upgrade to Windows 7 Professional
All games working well but not in full screen. I installed the last driver for ATI for Windows 7. It was working in full screen in Vista before I make upgrade.
Same problem on my brother`s laptop after he make upgrade to Windows 7.

Normally you can change the screen resolution in every game and if they should run in full screen mode or not. Check this!!!
Can you also tell us what display driver you have installed? The drivers from the Toshiba page are for desktop cards and not for mobile cards. So please use only the Toshiba drivers.

Flash player does not work in full screen

I am not able to get flash player. version 10, to work in full screen with firefox 3.6 on neither Mandriva 2010 or Ubuntu 10.10. I also do not have access to the settings. It is blacked out.

Sometimes disabling Hardware Acceleration in Flash Player Settings helps with fullscreen poblems.
But since you cannot access the Settings, you need to fix that problem first. On Windows, this can often be fixed by deleting the 'Flash Player' folders in %APPDATA%\Adobe and %APPDATA%\Macromedia. Unfortunately I do not know where these settings are kept on Linux.

Show desktop not working in full screen app

The thumb & three finger swipe to show the desktop does not work for me if the screen is filled with a full screen app. If hte app is not full screen then the gesture works.
Is this a bug, does anyone else get this, what use is the gesture if it doesn't work with full screen apps??!

No, the gesture doesn't work in full screen since technically there isn't a desktop under the full screen app. I just swipe to an adjacent desktop.

Hotmail account not working on Yosemite's Mail app

I've tried everything I've found on the internet so far trying to get my hotmail account to work the way it was before my update to Yosemite, with no success. A few days ago it stopped syncing messages properly, and now it just shows them as downloading but it never finishes the syncing.
I even left it working overnight with the mail app open, nothing else, prevented from going to sleep mode or shutting down, and it kind of worked, downloading some of the messages that were pending, but others just won't do it no matter what. I've tried Deleting the Account, restarting and Adding it again, also tried changing the imap server information to different options I've found, no difference.
I also tried Outlook for Mac with all my accounts, and the hotmail account seemed to work better which means the problem is between Mac Mail and the Hotmail account itself. The problem is I don't want to use Outlook for Mac because showed other problems with my Gmail accounts, which renders it unsuitable to handle all my mail accounts. Apple Mail was flawless until my update to Yosemite, not cool.
Does anybody have the same issue?

The main inbox does not sync at all. In addition, the problem seems to be strictly with Apple Mail on my iMac and MacBook Pro. The issue does not occur on my iPhone 6 or iPad Mini. I was very pleased with Apple Mail until now.

TS3899 Hotmail account not working in iPhone 5 mail app

At first I thought it was a COS, College of the Sequoias, as in the college I'm going to, Hotmail situation BUT it turns out it's a Hotmail in general situation because my other Hotmail account doesn't show my inbox or sent mail at all. I sent up my Hotmail account properly, go to it on the mail app, click on it and the inbox is empty. So is the sent box. Go to hotmail on the browser..there's all my mail! Just not in my Hotmail account in the mail app! I tried to set my Hotmail account on Jennifer's iPhone 4S.. No luck. Same thing happened when I tried on mum's iPad!
The strange thing is my COS hotmail account WAS set up on their BEFORE then iOS6 update just flawlessly. I get my iPhone 5 and decide to delete my email accounts from the iPad now that I have my phone. When hotmail decided to go all wonky I tried resynchronize my COS hotmail on the iPad again because I know it worked there. But I had updated the software since then. Thus it not working now!
My gmail and yahoo accounts are working flawlessly on my mail app however the Hotmail..not so much! I've been doing some research on the net..could the update be the problem?? If so, I can't wait for the iOS 7 software update!

Letterbox effect not working in full screen viewer 10.1.2

Hi,
Just updated to 10.1.2 and now the letterbox effect is not visible if i view in full screen but is working in normal interface viewer.
Instead if I keep a png cinemascope 2:35:1 on top of all the layers... in normal viewer its fine. but if i view in full screen (viewer) the cinemascope does not work on the top and only on the bottom it is visible in unusual size...

hi,
try putting a letterbox effect on any clip... it works well in the viewer display.. but when i go full screen... the letterbox effect does not work properly... the cinemascope is not visible on top but only on the bottom in an unusual size.
so instead if i put a png overlay image on top layer in timeline as a cinemascope... i get the same problem if i go full screen...
Pl. try the letterbox effect option and let me know if this is an issue with the software of is it specific to me ?
Project properties : 1920x1080 24fps and letter box 2:35:1

Hp 2.4 ghz wireless optical mobile mouse - back and forward not working

Hello everyone,
I bought an HP 2.4 ghz wireless optical mobile mouse, installed the drivers and sw in the CD that came with it, but I can't get the back/forward functions on the center wheel to work (neither on Chrome nor Windows Explorer).
My OS is Windows 7 Enterprise + SP1 (64-bit).
Could it be a driver/OS issue? Or should it work out of the box and is probably a hardware issue?
I have:
- uninstalled/reinstalled the drivers on the CD;
- uninstalled/reinstalled the drivers on the HP webpage;
- uninstalled/reinstalled the drivers on the HP webpage and then the ones on the CD (which i think made some sort of upgrade on the HP Mouse Suite).
What should I do to get back/forward to work?

Just figured out the left/right arrows on the wheel are for horizontal scrolling only, and not back/forward.
Does HP plan to support the back/forward function in this mouse model? The hardware is there, it's just a matter of drivers.
The issue was solved via remapping the mouse keys with not-HP software. This is something a standard user would probably have trouble doing.
This is an entry level product, but 99% of the mouses I've seen that have center wheel left/right capabilities can be configurated to back/forward.

Monitor not working yet full screen does!!

Can U please help. The monitor screen only displays my half completed film intermittently. When I use the arrow on right to increase to full screen mode everything is fine but obviosly I can't get a precise edit this way. Help?!!

Rules not working any more in mail.app

in my MBP yosemite ( Exchange mail ), I configured some rules. They used to work fine . But since this morning, I noticed that my rules are not working any more.
I checked on console log and noticed the Assertion Failure when applying manually the rules :

I don't know if its connected but I also just noticed a problem. In my case all the rules I had set have changed so that they apply after 7days (rather than the 30 days I had originally set). I can't get them to change back no matter how may times I try.

Control center and camera not working on lock screen

On the lock screen my control center or camera sometimes doesn't pull up! Also the touchscreen doesn't work sometimes while just using the phone like when typing or in a game. I've tried resetting it and restarting it! Is this a software bug? Will there be an update To fix this?

Thanks for the question. If I understand correctly, the touchscreen does not respond sometimes and control center doesn't come up. I would recommend that you read these articles, they may be helpful in troubleshooting your issue.

Copy and Paste not working in the apple email app

I have an iPhone 3GS and copy and paste works fine everywhere else. For some reason, copy and paste will not function in the email app. Is this normal? When advertising copy and paste, Apple's website describes being able to copy and paste in email. I understand that paste shouldn't show up when reading a received email, only copy or select. But I am getting no options. The weird thing is, if I double tap a word or paragraph, the highlighting tool shows up. I am able to adjust what text is highlighted with the "bars." But once I take my finger off the highlighting tool, no option menu pops up. The text remains highlighted with no ability to click copy. Also, the highlighting tool only appears if I double tap. If I hold my finger down, a magnifying glass appears with a curser (but no keyboard b/c it is a received message) yet if I take my finger off, a "select" or "select all" doesn't appear. Clearly something has to be wrong right, otherwise why would I be able to highlight text? Anyone else have this issue/ know how to fix it / suggested troubleshooting tips?

copy&paste does behave differently in mail than other apps... i have found that if you hold for the magnifier to appear then slightly drag left and let go you then get the select button...
while in other apps just tapping grabs the selection... it's def. different in mail but it is there!

Click and Drag not working in Yahoo!Mail

I'm using Firefox 4.01 version, with Yahoo!BrowerPlus 2.9.8
In Firefox version 3xxx, I was able to click and drag the attachment when I compose email(Yahoo!Mail). But with this version 4:
- when I click and drag a photo to my email, it open the photo instead of attach the photo.
when I click and drag a PDF file to my email, it ask me to 'Save' or 'Open with Default PDF reader'
Please assist on this issue because this function is really useful.

Reply and forward icons not appearing in mail app when I respond/forward from Gmail

When I reply or forward an email within the iphone mail app, the arrow icons showing I replied or forwarded appear beside the email in my iphone mail app inbox.
When I reply or forward from gmail, these icons do not appear in my iphone mail app. Does show that I have read and flagging/unflagging works.
Any thoughts?

Close out of the mail app, double tap the home button and completely close out of the app.
Then do a reset, no data loss. Hold down the home/sleep button together until you see the apple logo and then release, then wait for the phone to boot back up.
Then check your mail again.
