Have made an imap email account from iCloud, but now the reply/forward icon is not showing anymore when sending a mail.

  • Mail 4.4 Reply Forward Icon Not Displaying for Auto-generated emails

Does anyone have a problem with Mail 4.4...
For auto generated emails (system generated or confirmation emails), when forwarded these email, little icon on the left that pops up, its just simply not showing up...???!!!
And for the all other emails it works like it should...
    Anyone? Solution? Help?

I finally figured out how to make this work for 2 accounts on exchange.  I created my main account and then adding another account  that I'm delegated for within the account.  I also tried my main account and adding IMAP account with still no luck.  What I ended up doing was adding two separate exchange accounts and named them appropriately.  This solved the problem of sent messages going to the proper sent items folder and arrows appearing for Reply and Forward email responses on all machines.  Works like a charm

  • Mail not updating to show replied/forwarded on gmail imap

    Hello,
I've been reading about the various issues with Mail in Mavericks and Gmail Imap but none that addresses this. I access my account via imap on iPhone, a Snow Leopard MacBook Pro and Mac Pro running Mavericks. Everything has always worked just like it should - messages marked as replied to or forwarded on all devices when replied / forwarded on one of them. But Mail in Mavericks apparently just ignores this bit when it's not been on the local machine - that is, if I reply from my iPhone or the MacBook, Mavericks Mail does not display a replied/forwarded icon.
    Any help?

  • Reply/forward to a message from iPhone, Outlook does not show status

If you reply to a message from iPhone, Outlook does not show status (if replied or forwarded the message). The iPhone indicates the reply/forward icon however in Outlook I would have no idea if I responded to that message.

You're right. Had not noticed it before. Hopefully Apple will fix this in one of their future releases.

  • TS2795 Call forwarding icon automatically appears after power on even though call forwarding function hasn't been turn on

I'm using iPhone 5 with iOS 6.1.3. and I have this issue: the call forwarding icon automatically appears after I turn on the phone even though I haven't turned on the call forwarding function! I can make the icon disappear but when I power off the phone and turn it back on, the icon appears again. Since in fact I haven't turned on call forwarding, I can still ring my iPhone despite the icon appearing on the status bar, which proves the call forwarding icon is simply a dummy one in this case.
I tried to make the call forwarding icon disappear by using the method stated in this Apple Support article:
'Check Call Forwarding status by tapping Settings > Phone, and then tap the Call Forwarding option.'
And by dialling ##21# using the phone app to deactivate 'All Call Forward'
    (http://www.three.com.hk/WebCS/EducationCentre.do?WebCSType=shortcode&lang=eng&ap pId=WCSShortcode)
I don't know if the following instructions can be used worldwide but at least on 3 Hong Kong network:
*#67# -> check the status of 'Busy Call Forward'
##67# -> deactivate 'Busy Call Forward'
*#61# -> check the status of 'No Answer Call Forward'
##61# -> deactivate 'No Answer Call Forward'
*#62# -> check the status of 'Unreachable Call Forward'
##62# -> deactivate 'Unreachable Call Forward'
*#21# -> check the status of 'All Call Forward'
##21# -> deactivate 'All Call Forward'
After several trial and error procedures, I find that the Settings > Phone > Call Forwarding option basically functions as the **21* + phone number process (activate 'All Call Forward') and the ##21# process (deactivate 'All Call Forward').
    ==========
I'm using 3 Hong Kong and I tried one method suggested by one forum member here but no luck:
    https://discussions.apple.com/message/20090975#20090975
If you search for 'ios 6 call forwarding icon' on Google, you can see there are lots of people having this problem around the world.
I do really hope Apple can fix this ASAP as this dummy icon is quite confusing.
    ==========
The reason why I encouter this problem maybe because I entered the code *#67# to check the call forwarding status just out of interest. And now I have this issue...

Have you tried contacting 3 to see if your account is setup correctly or if you need a new SIM?
You can try testing with another SIM or restoring the iPhone.

  • I no longer have the e-mail icons with my e-mail so that I may reply, forward, etc.  How do I get them back?

I no longer have my e-mail symbols for replying, forwarding, etc.  How do I get them back?

    Try terminating and restarting Mail:
    1. Press the Home button
    2. Double click the Home button to bring up the "Recent Apps" tray.
    3. Touch and hold on the Mail icon in the "Recent Apps" tray until a "-" appears.
    4. Touch the "-" to terminate Mail.
    5. Mail Safari and see if this corrects the problem.
If this doesn't try restarting or resetting your iPhone:
Restart: Press On/Off button until the Slide to Power Off slider appears, select Slide to Power Off and, after the iPhone shuts down, then press the On/Off button until the Apple logo appears.
Reset: Press the Home and On/Off buttons at the same time and hold them until the Apple logo appears (about 10 seconds).

  • 8330 call forwarding icon won't disappear

I have a 8330 and I cannot get the call forwarding icon to disappear. Last week I had to forward my number to my office number. I then got a new phone number on this curve. I can make and receive call normally. But the call forwarding icon is still on the top of the screen. When I go into the call forwarding menu it shows calls being forwarded to my office. If I try to change that to "do not forward" the phone tries to make a call but I get the "Your call cannot be completed as dialed". I have also tried to change the call forward number but same result as above. Anyone have any ideas?!?!?

the shortcuts at the bottom of my emails on my iPhone 4 (to reply, forward, delete, etc) have disappeared. How do I restore these buttons/shortcuts?
I have looked in the iPhone 4 Userguide with no mention of these settings or how to adjust/ replace lost shortcuts.

    Hi rracker,
If you are having issues with the buttons in Mail, you may want to force Mail to close, then relaunch. If that does not resolve the issue, you may need to restart/reset your iPhone. You may find the following articles helpful:

  • Home sharing icon disappears on PC and Mac

In my house, we've been using home sharing between a PC (Windows 7), a Mac (OS X 10.8.2), and two iPad 2s with no issues for several months.  It was working as recently as 23 Dec 12. Now, two days later, it is not working on the PC or the Mac, but it is still working on the iPads.  When we turn home sharing on, the home sharing icon shows in the sidebar, but as soon as we put in the login and password and click "Done," the home sharing icon disappears.  The Mac and PC are linked up, as we can see the shared library in the "Finder" on the Mac, but it is inaccessible from iTunes.
We've tried all the trouble-shooting we can find online, including disabling the IPv6 on the PC, but still nothing.  Any suggestions  to get this working again would be appreciated!

    Don't give up too soon.
How do you access the HD from both Mac and PC?
I do this but only by network not direct hookup.
If you are plugging the HD into one or the other I may have a solution for you.
I have all my photos in folders organized the way I want them.
Then I set iPhoto to NOT import the files when I add them.
Preferences > Advanced > make sure the selection of "Importing: Copy items to the iPhoto Library" is not selected.
That way the photos (files) will stay where you put them and the data in iPhoto will still organize and do it's thing on them.
And if you modify a photo with say Photoshop the new file seems to automatically update in the preview of iPhoto.
    Works great for me.
Here is what I have been doing...
    1. When I got my MAC, I copied all of my pictures from my PC onto a portable HD (WD passport).
    2. Then I attached it to the MAC and used iPhoto.
    3. I added new photos only to the passport HD and edited them in iPhoto.
What I was _planning / hoping_ to do is move those photos back to the PC for use in other applcations. But apparently the editted photos aren't on the HD anyway, but on the MAC (in the iPhoto library.)
But I understand that using a referenced library is not a great idea.
(Also, initially I did copy some photos into iPhoto and apparently having a both managed AND a referenced set of files is DOUBLY bad!)
So what I need to do now is fix whatever I "broke" and get a plan to go forward!

  • Missing Embedded Images on Reply/Forward/Redirect

I found a bug with the new Safari beta that when installed (on either an Intel or PPC machine), when you get a embedded image in your email, and you want to reply/forward/redirect that message, the image(s) will not display, and a blue "lego" icon will be shown.
The fix is to uninstall the Safari beta, and it will fix the problem with Mail.
    -robert.

I have exactly the same problem but without using a server.
When I *copy & paste* an image in Keynote I often just *get a place holder with a big question mark*. When this happens I have no chance to copy it. This behaviour is then reproducible.
The same thing happens when drag & dropping a slide to another presentation. All pictures get a question mark! I did not find a work around yet.
    Please help!
