Problem replying to posts on craigslist, mailto puts to much info in address

When I try to reply to an add through Craigslist using yahoo mail. the mailto is set to yahoo mail opens fine, but in the recipient address (to:) to much information is place in there for example: "mailto:[email protected]?subject=_____2oo5 Buick Lacrosse CXS_____ - $2900 (pittsburgh)" I have to manually remove everything until it reads this
"[email protected]" for email to send properly.

I have the same stinking problem. I fixed it once on my other computer but don't remember what I did.

The problem here is that your XSL Stylesheet must be a well-formed XML document, so everywhere you are using the <BR> element, you need to use

Sorry for jumping in on this thread, but I have a question regarding you reply. I have an XSL stylesheet that preforms XML to HTML conversion. Everything works correctly with the exception of those HTML tags that are not weel formed. Using your example if I have something like:
<xsl:stylesheet xmlns:xsl="http://www.w3.org/1999/XSL/Transform">
<xsl:output method="html"/>
<input type="text" name="{NAME}" size="{DISPLAY_LENGTH}" maxlength="{LENGTH}"></input>

It would render HTML in the format of

</HTML>
While IE can handle this Netscape can not. Is there anyway to generate completely cross browser complient HTML with XSL?

Wrongly cleared document has been reversed &resetted

could anybody help us to resolve below issue.
wrongly cleared document has been reversed and restted via FBRA ,so we are trying to reverse this doc via FBRA so we are getting below error message while doing

Diagnosis
The system required a reverse document to be created after resetting a clearing procedure as otherwise documents would have been generated in the system which could not have been processed correctly. The following cases require the clearing document to be reversed:

Someone asked whether ATV was worth it or not - here are my thoughts

Whether or not ATV is a good product probably depends on where youlive. Im writing from Adelaide Australia and ATV is a disappointmentfor me right now.
The best download speed my ISP can provide - which Ithink is the standard at moment in this part of the world - is simplynot enough to use ATV without major hassles. I have to wait at least 2hours for movie to download, so it takes quite a bit of spontaneity outof home movie watching.
There are also some features I just cant figure. For example, I purchased and downloaded a movie last week (took 2 hours) but could not watch it at the time. However, I went to watch this evening thinking that it would have been stored somewhere on ATV, but no. I had message that it was downloading (again!) and would take(another!) 2 hours.
All of this is especially annoying because I thought ATV would be a better option to going to the local video store. Itisn't. Its just a nuisance and a waste of time and money for me.

The Apple TVs implementation of streaming is very poor. It works as if it has no buffer or cache so if you have a less that 5mb connection it is worthless for streaming of any kind. The Netflix, Podcast, and YouTube streaming works fine but the rentals simply do not work for users that do not have a extra fast connection.
I had to up my connections speed from 3mb to 6mb before it was acceptable. And then twice now I have been watching a rental and it stops right in the middle of the show and the show is never seen again on the Apple TV, unless I rent it again an hope it plays all the way through this time.
I use my Apple TV all the time for everything but Apple TV rentals because that system is horribly broken.

Need help in Exporting list to memory and return in background

I have a program which reads data from mc.9 by exporting list to memory.When I run it in foreground its working fine . However if I schedule it as a background program it is unable to get list from memory.

I tried to do as you said. Its creating spool request and status to completed (sm37 instead of sm36 bcoz i don't hv authorization in production server). Now I didn't see any errors in job log. But data coming to ztable is as usual ( all are ZEROS).

I found that my job with completed status but with in job log i found error of type I means that the error is with notfound type in exceptions.

Anyone help ol' man with Cocoa project, please?

Hi all,
I recently volunteered to help transcribe Birth, Marriage and Death (BMD) records dating back to 1837 for FreeBMD -- a registered charity -- to help folks trace their family trees online. Unfortunately, while the Mac software has some nifty features, it's still really s-l-o-o-w and tedious to use and I reckon the speed and accuracy could be increased 3x using a slightly different approach.
I was reasonably okay with 'C' in the old days but never quite managed to get my head around OOP yet (probably due to my age). The app I have in mind consists of an ultra-simple text editor (a la Apple's 15 minute example project) with combined bare-bones image/PDF viewer plus a few extra bells and whistles, and I've already designed the interface -- about as far as I can get for now
I see a lot of really knowledgeable folks replying to postings in this discussion group, many with huge numbers of posts under their belts, and I reckon this would be considered a fairly 'trivial' app that could be knocked out during a long coffee break for anyone experienced in Cocoa programming.
If you feel you'd like to help with this charitable, not-for-profit project, please email me at "ojisanATadamDOTcomDOTau" and I'll send you what I've got, together with some good sample code that clearly addresses most of the problems.
Your input will help me get a handle on what eludes me about OOP (I learn really well by example), make life easier for all the Mac volunteer transcribers out there, help MILLIONS of hobbyists trace their ancestors quicker (genealogy is the #1 hobby in the US, and probably also in Australia, UK, and Canada etc.), and help level the playing field with Windows (their transcription solution is currently better than ours).

As long as we are setting the record straight, we should clarify a couple of things. .NET is the "virtual machine" part. You can use C#, J#, VB, or even a slightly twisted variant of C++ with .NET. For those of us who spent a few formative years swearing at MFC, .NET is a significant improvement.
I haven't done much with .NET but I find it to be very much like Cocoa, both in the functionality it provides and the slightly twisted way you have to use it. In Cocoa, you have to use Objective-C or Objective-C++. In .NET, you have to use Microsoft's own slightly strange variants. If you can understand all the brackets, receivers, and messages in Cocoa, you shouldn't have any trouble with all the carets in .NET C++.
You're quite right, it's obviously much less effort to write a program in Cocoa and then re-write it for .NET, than it is it to write it in Java in the first place and run it unchanged on three different platforms. Java is so portable that a Java program written on one platform doesn't even have to be re-compiled to run on another. If you write a program using Cocoa then you limit your market just to Macs - very much a minority platform compared to Windows. Write your program in Java and your market is literally unlimited.
Everything you've said here is correct. Still, every Java program I have ever seen is clearly a "Java" program and usually cannot achieve the same level of integration with the OS that either .NET or Cocoa gives you by default. Java programmers still have to make an effort to ensure that their programs run and run well on platforms they didn't develop it on.

Couldn't close them because Firefox froze. Happened again when I clicked on a reply to email on Craigslist. Searched the Internet for answers. Came across this description from someone with a PC: "I will be browsing the Internet with Windows Internet Explorer and ever so often an endless amount of tabs start opening up, one after another. I then have make an attempt to open Windows Task Manager and click on End Task. Whilst attempting to do this, I lose count of how many times my computer freezes." Is this a virus? Thought Macs didn't get viruses. What do I do now?

It sounds to me like your version of Firefox is having some issues. The first things I'd try are the troubleshooting suggestions offered [here|http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Safe+Mode], especially the instructions for starting in Safe Mode. If one of your add-ons or preferences is causing a problem, for example, this will help you diagnose it.
The next step I'd follow is to uninstall the program and reinstall it.

Reply to Craigslists post

When I reply to a Craigslist post by using the reply to button, my gmail account opens but does not open a new compose window so i know the default email is set correctly since the gmail account opens but do not understand why the compose window does not work. It works fine from my computer but not from my Iphone or Ipad. I also tried just clicking the reply address as well. This allows me to send a email and the email shows up in my sent email for Gmail but it still does not go out. I verified this by replying to one of my own adds in craigslist. Same thing, I see it in my sent email in Gmail but it does not go to the inbox.
I have also tried using the Cpro app and have the same problem.

How can you say this has nothing to do with the Iphone? I can perform the actions listed above on my IBM pc, a macbook Pro but not on an Iphone. I thought maybe there would be some help here but I guess I was wrong.

Craigslist reply problem

I'm getting the following error from the Craigslist mail server when I try to reply to a post on the list.
Please use SMTP relay of your ISP or setup non-generic DNS (in reply to RCPT TO command)
I'm assuming there is probably a simple DNS change or mail switch I can make that will fix this problem.
My ISP is COX, so Craigslist sees my server as
<wsip-xxx-xxx-xxx-xxx.oc.oc.cox.net[xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx]>
Can someone point me in the right direction to fix this?

Based on your post, I believe the trouble is that you have not set a PTR record for your mail server (i.e., you need to properly set-up reverse DNS for your mail server).
For example, my mail server's IP address is 64.123.27.94. A reverse DNS lookup of 64.123.27.94 should resolve as mail.prufrock.com.
This needs to be done by your ISP (not something you can set up on your mail server). You can contact COX and request that they set-up a PTR record for the IP address of your mail server.

Can I have Craigslist select AOL as the outgoing mail server when I reply to an ad?

Although in IMail Preferences I presently have AOL selected as my outgoing mail server, Craislist instead selects my IMail server, which has never worked properly. What can I do to have these Craigslist replys sent via AOL? I'm using an Imac desk top with OS 10.5.8 Thank you, Rick.

In iCloud/Mail, have you tried going to Preferences (select with gear at lower left)/Composing and setting a Send from address there?
