For this first i need to connect EP to MDM.How to go about it??
Also what all installations need to be done for this?? Which type of iviews need to be created for putting data into MDM repositories??

Security (users/groups) implementation
We have to implement the authorisation on 20000+ roles (groups) in OBIEE. They want it to be implemented internally in OBIEE using some script/API so that all the roles will be created and as well as updated automatically in OBIEE whenever there are some updations in their database.
Question: How is it possible to manage more than 20000 roles (groups) , each role is having different different privileges ?

Plz help Its very urgent!!!!!!
I have a requirement to show the data of consecutive two months in the report with the difference of two months in another column "variance".
ex: mm1/yyyy , mm2/yyyy, variance = mm1/yyyy-mm2/yyyy
I have made a new selection "&MNTH / Amount" , where in it calculates the prior month with the amount. On the new selection i need to make the amount = amount*-1 and display $0 whenever there is a blank space.
I tried achieving this with a customer exit, but could not succeed.
the final output should show
mm1/yyyy = prior month amount
mm2/yyyy = current month amount
amount needs to show negative value
the blank space should be filled with $0

Select mm1/yyyy & mm2/yyyy one by one .
Then in the properties hit the DISPLAY tab.
Then look for SIGN CHANGE.
Use "REVERSE SIGN"
do it for both keyfigures
Secondly,
Hit QUERY from the menu and then select properties
Go to Value Display tab
Here select Zero instead of space or Zero with currency unit....
Try following options until u get required output.

How to stop a thread forcefully. do reply urgent

i would like to stop the thread . i have used stop() method and also i have tested by giving the threadname = null. but these two not worked . how to stop thread forcefully. urgent.

There is no direct way to stop the thread forcefully. If you have implemented the thread, modify the code so as to break on some flag.
i.e.
public void run()
while (keepRunning)
...do some stuff here
and provide some way to set the boolean keepRunning as false. The loop will exit and the thread will also be destroyed.

Hi Nisha,
If I understood you right, try to check the values for the 0ForwardAgent in ODS in both levels (ODS1 and ODS2) if you have the correct data in them for this object, you can try scheduling the full update infopackage with selections for 0FORWARDAGENT and also for the dates you have missed with 'repair full request' from the infopackage..from level2 ODS in your case..

Essbase server freeze - reply urgent

Hi All, We are facing a very serious issue with Essbase 6.5.5 since last couple of months. The problem is whenever we tried to copy database or application, the Essbase server gets freeze after copying. When it happens, every time we need to kill all processes for all essbase applications running on the server and bring down essbase server. When we start up the server everything goes back to normal. The problem was stared occurring once in a month almost before 6-7 months and after that its get increased and now in lat week it happened 4-5 times. We are running essbase on sun Solaris. we have not change any hardware or software environment since last 6 months excepts some OS patches. The essbase database also has the same size. The only thing that keep changing is security file and current size of Essbase security file: 16161697 bytes. Thanks to all, 

Hi Rashmin, On our system, when we make the copy (for the backup), we stop the essbase server and it goes well. I think that maybe because of some forgotten locks or other problems, files may not be accessed correctly. Is this problem occuring after the copy process completes succesfully? I am starting my training in APO with a training institute ,which will train me for about 50 hrs on APO, and grant me 3 months of access to the SAP system.
I had the following questions.
1. What are the prior requirements if you have to take certification exam for APO? Are there any prerequisites, or any sort of other requirements?
2. I wanted to know if 3 months access would be enough for me to prepare for certification?If not then how much access is enough?
3. How long can I not give the exam again, if I fail once?

If this is a generalized situation - ie, email from anyone at any location on the Internet, there is no way. There is nothing that will separate the end of one address from the beginning of the following "name".
Consider that Internet addresses can end in 2 letters (country), 3 letters (domain), maybe more? "Names" can be uppercase, lowercase, symbols, etc. If you can restrict the variation a solution may be possible.
Best bet is to insert a delimiter between entries at creation, then parse using that delimiter.

3F0 Error Appears when UEFI is Enabled [Please Reply Urgent]

I got this 3F0 error even though my HDD is Healthy not faulty.
I brought this PC a month ago
*If i boot in Legacy Mode, i dont get this error and the system boots normally
*If i boot in UEFI mode, i get the 3F0 Error
Please help, i really want UEFI Back

Hello eddieleon7pc. I understand you witness a 3F0 error when booting in UEFI mode. I will do my best to resolve the issue!

Error -61024 (please reply urgently )

I have executed the labview fpga VI for digital i/o , with target as NI PXI 7831R , and after the execution in order to communicate with the FPGA VI , I executed the fpga host VI with target as labview for windows , i am using the 7.1 version of labview and ni fpga module 1.1, but while running the host VI error -61024 is appearing every time and the result is not dsiplayed ,The labview FPGA VI is running on the target ni pxi 7831R.
the following message is appearing at the time of executing the VI .
error -61024 occured at the open fpga vi refernce / call VI in the error detection -interrupt (host).vi
possible reasons: the device type that has been configured in this function does not match the actual type of the device .

The music in shared playlists belongs to the owners of those playlists. They do not belong to you. If you obtain them through any means other than buying them yourself, then you will be guilty of piracy. Also, posting a question like this is a violation of the board's terms of use.

earlier at the time of deployement i was getting the warning
"LD-2771: System privileges may not allow extraction from source TB_WINE_PRODUCTS."

Hi Kunal,
VLD-2771: System privileges may not allow extraction from source TB_WINE_PRODUCTS means that OWB can't determine whether you have sufficient rights on the source you're trying to read. Check if priviliges are correct, if so this message can be ignored.
More important is ORA-06508, this implies the mapping cannot be found. I don't know how you run this mapping, if you use the SQL template or RUN_MY_OWB_STUFF, check whether you used the right parameters (like location).
