Report 10g REP-50159
Dear all,
I have installed the Oracle Report 10g R2 on a Windows XP. I have tried to generate a PDF report to the local harddisk through the servlet and it works fine. However, when I set the DesName to a Samba drive and it failed and returned a REP-50159 Executed successfully but there were some errors when distribute the output.
Does any one have any ideas on this?
DesName=d:\test.pdf (works fine)
DesName=z:\test.pdf (fail)
thanks,
Thomas
Hello,
Reports Server managed by opmn ?
If yes, could you test to start the reports server from a "DOS Window " ?
rwserver server=repserver
opmn is running as a Windows Services and by default , the windows srvices are executed under the user account localsystem who has limited access to network resources ...

REP-50159 - when report sent directory on the linux Box
We have created a directory called hbc_parvo and the path is /u01/hbc_parvo. Added path in reports.sh and restarted reports server.
I am trying to run the report and save on the Linux Box in the directory I created.
I get this error when I run the report
REP-50159: Executed successfully but there were some errors when distribute the output. Need help if anyone has had the same error and how to fix it
Edited by: user11244023 on Jul 13, 2010 1:20 PMHello,
There are 2 steps in a Reports execution with the Reports Server :
Step 1 : The reports is exeucted by a reports engine and the Reports output is generated in the Reports Server cache.
Step 2 : The reports server will take the output generated in the cache by the engine and will send it to the destination specified in the parameter (DESTYPE DESNAME)
In your case, a problem occured during the Step 2
What is the DESTYPE / DESNAME used ?

Report 10g report output to email
Hi All,
report server 10g is setup with the mailServer plugin details.
However when trying to send email I am getting REP-50159 error.
The email server is configured with close relay meaning a username/password detail must be provided in order to relay emails.
Now, how can that authentication be passed when sending email direct from report server?
are there any parameters that I need to pass within the distribution file?
or does this setup works with open relay configuration only?Hello,
This not supported by the current version of Reports .
Anyway, you can create your own mail destination :

REP-0069,REP-57054,REP-50159 and REP-50127
Hi,
In Oracle Apps R12 , trying to run Oracle 10g report from Apps , report is erroring out with following error log.
REP-0069: Internal error
REP-57054: In-process job terminated:Executed successfully but there were some errors when distribute the output
REP-50159: Executed successfully but there were some errors when distribute the output
REP-50127: file : Cannot write into file o856261.out
Any idea how this can be resolved.Good afternoon,
Typically, what I have found is that there is a problem with the location of the output file. Check Disk Space, write-access where o856261.out is being created. Also, check to see if o856261.out exists and is flagged as READ-ONLY.
Good luck,
Don.

Running Reports 10g on Apps Server
We have a Windows 2003 apps server running Oracle Forms and Reports 10g.
We are having a problem running reports in Oracle 10g, and believe it to be something to do with the configuration files. Currently, we can run the test report through Enterprise Manager using both the default reports service and the one that we have created. However we are unable to run our own reports through forms.
To check that there was nothing wrong with our forms, we copied one of the reports into the â¦\forms10g\reports\samples\demo folder to see if we could run it through Enterprise Manager. However, we get the following error:
Rep-110: Unable to open file â¦â¦
Rep-1070: Error while opening or saving a document.
Rep-0110: Unable to open file â¦...
We then renamed the test.rdf file and tried to run that. Again we got the above message. Next we tried again to run test.rdf, even though this no longer existed, and the report ran. This implied that it isn't actually running the report, but has the report output stored somewhere, and it just displays this.
No matter how we try to run reports, and with which reports service, we always get the above error.
So why is it that no reports will run, not even the test one when it is renamed? Is there a configuration setting somewhere?Hi All,
Hope YOu are fine.
We have running Oracle Forms and Reports Services 10g on Windows 2000 Advanced Server.
The Application Works fine, and reports are generated successfully.
But when we access the same application by using either Linux OS (RHEL 4.0, Ubuntu 6),
The forms works fine but Linux OS could not run the report.
This seems to be a configuration problem.
Any Clues.
Thanks and Looking Forward.

Image_Item not working in Reports 10g
we can't use ImageItems in our report.
we had a table with some images in a column with Datatype Longraw. Because we can't use that with Forms/reports 10g, we cahnged the Table-Column to Blob and migrated the Data with Import/Export. Within Forms we don't have any problem, we can display the old migrated pictures, we can import new images with Webutils Client_Image.Read_Image_Item and we can display those new images as well.
But now we have a problem with Reports. Our Report has an item (the new Blob_Column) in the query and that item is displayed within the report. If the Report is run for a record with a migrated Image, it works fine, but with a new Record and a new imported Image_Item, the Report fails (on the Server) with the following information in EM :
Mit Fehler beendet: REP-69: Interner Fehler REP-62203: Interner Fehler beim Lesen des Bildes - Unable to render RenderedOp for this operation..
it is a very small Report but with 2 images (both are small).
Any ideas out there ?
regards,
MarkFound the solution by myself.
The Problem isn't within Reports it is within Forms. The Image_Item has to set to FileType "BMP" instead of "JFIF".
That solved the problem. -

We are making the move from 6i to 10g and to get started we have a report that we want to batch run from a python script to dump out a spreadsheet. My problem is that during the process rwrun crashes and doesnt create it.
I can copy the line run from python and it goes just fine. Next I tried to use rwclient in which I am supposed to specify the SERVER parameter. I am assuming this is the tnsname of the new 10greport server... Yes/No?
Also I am having a hard time setting the tnsname for my 10g Rep Server...would anyone perhaps have a sample I could look at to make mine or is it exactly the same format as 6i?
rwclient.exe SERVER=REPSERVER10g USERID=myuser/mypass@1 DESTYPE=FILE DESFORMAT=SPREADSHEET REPORT="test.rdf" P_DIV="CAD" P_START="07/01/06" P_END="06/30/06" DESNAME="c:\test\test.xls"There is a db-package SRW in $ORACLE_HOME/reports/admin/sql which can be installed in the database and can be used to start reports-requests from the database, In combination with DBMS_JOB or DBMS_SCHEDULER you can do scheduling of report from within the database.

Hi All,
at first:
excuse my english, it's not so fine.
But now my problem:
I work with Oracle Application Server version 10.1.2.0.2 and the Portal.
I published a report to the portal as PDF.
So, i have the chance to select the report as File, Mail or cache.
If i select cache and handed over the parameters the report works fine.
But if i selected 'Mail' and i handed over the parameters there is the error message:
REP-50159 .....
The report wasn't send by mail. It's in the cache from report server.
During installation i gave the correct exchange server for mails.
What could be wrong in configuration?
Is there anyone who could help? Maybe also in german?
Thanks for help
Best Regards
FlorianIn your exchange SMTP server setup, do you allow relay at all, and more importantly, do you allow relay from your Oracle Application Server.
Here is what http://babelfish.altavista.com/ for a german translation (believe me, I cannot validate its contents):
Babel Fish Translation
Auf deutsch:
