Report a problem on an iPad?

I bought an iPad because I don't have a computer and was sold by the fact that you don't have to set it up via a computer. I want to report a problem with an appbutcant unless I have iTunes on a computer. Then I found a way to do it via Apple Support but it wanted the purchase number. Ok where do I find that? iTunes on your computer. How can I report a problem that doesn't involve a computer?

    1. It is never a good idea to include personal info like your email address or Apple ID in a post on an open forum.
    2. The email you received DOES NOT say your Apple ID cannot be used to unlock this iPad. The email informs you that your Apple ID was used to unlock an iPad. Fortunately the iPad is yours. The message confirms that. If your Apple ID was used to unlock an iPad that was not yours your would then know to change your password. Since the iPad is yours you do not need to change your password.

  • When I click report a problem via my iTunes reciept on my iPad it says cannot connect to iTunes store. There are no Internet problems.

    I am trying to report a problem on an app I bought but when I click report a problem on my iTunes reciept it says cannot connect to iTunes, it is not my Internet connection everything else works fine on it. I have the 3rd generation iPad.

    Try resetting your iPad - hold down the Home and Power buttons at the same time and continue to hold them until the Silver Apple appears. Once it is back up, try again. Also, make sure you are connected to Wifi or 3G....

  • Updates July 5 corrupted - App Storele "Report a Problem" missing

    Apps which updated today now crash (July 5). I deleted and reinstalled, but still crash. Apple Support suggest using "Report a Problem" in the app store - it exists for iPhone, but not for iPad.
    I expect if I wait, the corrupt app that Apple is distributing will be corrected. But the bigger issue is how do we report such errors to Apple. Based on various reports that I am reading, this has happened to numerous applications.

    For some reason, the Report a Problem link in the emailed receipts that Apple sends, has not worked for quite some time - at least from what I have seen.

    It sounds like your son made an in-app purchase, you can turn them off on your iPad via Settings > General > Restrictions > In-App Purcahses 'off'. And depending upon what version of iOS that you have on your iPad you may also have a Require Password setting which you can set to 'Immediately' (the default is a 15 minute period during which it doesn't need re-entering).

    The only link I have with mention of a phone number would not work from the UK.  I am surprised it is left active since iTunes Store is noted for not having any phone number and only reachable online.  [email protected]

    Children should not have access to your iTunes account password.

    The latest version of iOS (7.0.6) fixes the problem. Update your phone if you're not already running 7.0.6.

    Automatic downloads will only work if you turn it on before you download the app.
    Are you sure that you are signed into the correct or the same ID on the iPad as you are using in iTunes on your computer. Settings>iTunes and App Stores. Check the signed in ID there.
    Do you have any restrictions enabled? Settings>General>Restrictions. Installing if apps can be restricted and you might have content restrictions set as well.

    I'm trying to report a problem with an in-app purchase (deducted from my card, but no magazine available for download). When I click on the "Report a problem"-link in the iTunes Purchase history, it opens a Safari window with the UK iTunes suppport site? (Why the UK site and not the Norwegian?)
    This is on my Windows PC. The receipt mail also contains a "Report a problem"-link:

    This link only leads to the same support site. On the iPad, it only gives me a "cannot connect to the iTunes Store". Even with the store open and logged in.

    My problem has now been solved by the app owner, but it isn't good that there is no easy way to get Apple involved when something goes wrong.

    There's an endless combination of Internet plugins that you might need for a particular website, from Flash to Java, to Windows Media to some other streaming/media protocol. Probably what's helpful here is either of the name of the plugin that you're being asked for or the website(s) you're accessing that require them. I suspect it's probably a media plugin, like Flash, Windows Media or some DivX type plugin but that's just a guess with the information provided.
