Report about scheduled reports with status failed

hi All,
I would like to schedule report with information which reports in SAP BO (which I could find in Instance Manager in CMC) did not refreshed (failed status). Do you know where this data are stored?

Hi Konrad,
Query builder is an application which gets deployed when you deploy the BO applications like CMC/BILaunchPad.
The name of the application is AdminTools. You can check with your admin/deployment team if you have it deployed.
You would be exceuting the below url to access the application
http://<servername>:<port>/AdminTools
The name is case sensitive so follow the same case.
It would be best to run your queries in AdminTools application rather than running those directly on CMS tables though management studio. Running queries directly on CMS databse tables is not recommended.

Crystal Report Server - Scheduled Reports Have Failed - SMTP_E_TCPSOCKET_SE

Hi,
Recently, several scheduled reports have failed with the error message "server error. CrystalEnterprise.Smtp: SMTP_E_TCPSOCKET_SEND(3)". It happens randomly, to different reports at different times. Can anyone let me know what information does this need to troubleshoot. Thanks!

I would like to suggest you following things:
1) Please check the SMTP settings on the respective report's job server. Like Severname of the SMTP
server. Port number of the SMTP and domain.
2) Check whether are you able to send the mails from mail client to the desired destination.
3) Verify the Port number given to the SMTP, by default it is 25. And also verify it is not blocked on the
firewall.
4) Also verify whether ip address of the server machine where job server is installed is included in the
allowed list at the SMTP server end.

Crystal Reports Server - Scheduling Report Exports

Dear Experts,
We are using Crystal Reports Server XI Edition and we would like to schedule report exports. Crystal Reports Server configuration console allows us to automate report exports but apparently we could not find a way to pass report parameters and formulas from any export management tab. Naturally, each report needs to take different parameters but to our knowledge CRS management console does not have a screen that prompts us to key in or to read dynamic report parameters and formula. It simply uses the default report parameters. Can you confirm this please?
To overcome this limitation, we are thinking of developing something like a script that directly interacts with CRS. The script would pass the name of the report, the report parameters and other relevant details like CMS username/ password.Do you think this is possible and if yes can you please point us to the key APIs required for scheduling report exports?

You are able to change the parameters for the report within the Central Management Console under the processing tab before scheduling.

Now I send query to user by E-mail immediately,the status is successful. I define schedule job also send query by E-mail.I can not find the request in T-CODE 'SOST' on default time.
Hope this clear.Hope anyone can give me advice to solve the problem.

Check in SCOT and see is there a job which is scheduled for sending emails or whether there is any errors in sending the email?
If there is no job scheduled you can send emails manually by selecting the execute icon from SCOT.

ALV Report - Production Scheduling Report

Hello Gurus,
I need to write an ALV report of open production order operations per selection criteria. If the production orders are linked to any sales order, then the result of ALV should also contain the sales order data.
Selection screen should contain -
Plant(required), Production order number(optional), Material number (optional), Work center (optional).
If the system statuses of the production orders are not TECO, CLSD, DV then they are considered as open.
The ALV report should contain the following fields.
SO Number, PO Nbr, Ship-to-address, Material availability date, Req ship date, Last confirmed date, Ship via, Sales order line item, Pro Ord Nr, Plant, Pro ord cre date, Material Nbr, Material desc, Order qty, UOM, Sch Start date, Sche finish date, user status, MRP ctrler, Remaining hrs etc.
Please guide me how to proceed to achieve the required report.

Scheduled report failed after 10 mins

Hi Everyone,
We are using Business Object XI 3.1 and Crystal Report 2008.
We have a few reports which uses Java Beans Connectivity. They all run fine using Crystal Report 2008 Designer.
After I publish the reports to the server and schedule it to run from InfoView, the reports fail if it runs over 10 mins and returns error ( See below). If I rerun the report and it completes within 10 mins, it will be fine.

I added -crpetrace 7 - trace to the command line params to view the details of the log, however not much luck in getting a meaningful message.

I have looked the configuration of Crystal Job Server, Reports Cache Server and Processing Server, nothing obvious that has limited the connection to 10 mins. I have extended the time in CRConfig.xml still no luck.
There are other reports on the server using direct db connection and run fine for 2 hours+.
Anyone has experienced this before and aware of any configuration that might cause the report to fail in 10 mins?

1204347 - Error: "Failed to retrieve data from the database" when using Javabeans as a datasource
The SAP Note is for BO XI R2; however, you can try the same resolution for BO XI 3.1.

I have a strange issue with schedule WEBI reports, a schedule report runs for Hours , i reschedule it again by deleting the instance and the schedule report never got succeed even after running for hours.

Hi Manoj,
1. Try to put some filters in the report and then run the report. if it takes less time, then probably your query is fetching very large data.
2. MDX query error may be the reason , this error come when a query runs endless, please try running the query 2-3 times, or when load on server is less.

Hi Mano,
You are in the filter editor for job definitions (Definitions > Job definitions). Job definitions do not have a status (they simply define what to do, optionally when).
Go to "Monitoring > Jobs" (First item in the first group), you can also click on the button in the tool bar. See screenshots below on my English system:

You didn't indicate which version of BO you're using. However, documentation is available here for the 4.x SDK: http://scn.sap.com/docs/DOC-27465. And sample code for various versions is available in the links here: Java SDK - Business Intelligence (BusinessObjects) - SCN Wiki. There is very little change from version to version, so you should be able to use the sample code no matter which version you're on. Also, if you're on 4.x, you may want to look at using the RESTful web services - there's no SDK to install on the developer's machine and it doesn't have to be recompiled if you upgrade your BO system.

Edit Schedules Reports in Prime Collaboration

I am using the following version:

Version: 9.5.34267
Under Report/Interactive Reports I can create a report view. That is fine so far. Under Report/Scheduled Report I can create a Report with Inventory/Managed Devices. How can I edit this view or get the view from Interactive Report to Scheduled Report?

I did find a solution.
Here is what I did:
1) Deleted the CUCM from Prime Collaboration Assurance 10.6.
2) Changed the cluster ID from the default value StandAloneCluster to a unique value (e.g. LabCluster) on CUCM.
3) Restarted the services 'Cisco CallManager' (Please note: a call processing service interruption could occur) and 'RIS Data Collector'.
4) Discovered the CUCM in Prime Collaboration Assurance 10.6.
The above steps are also described here:

If the above steps do not help, then the only way to fix the issue is to do step 2 and 3, then reinstall Prime Collaboration Assurance and then discover the CUCM.

Scheduling reports

Hi Experts,
I have a few questions on scheduling report runs. Background is that we need to set up some reports to be run daily and be ready when people come to work in the morning, for example daily pick list, etc.
- How do you set up this kind of daily reporting runs?
- Is this possible for "all" (most) reports in SAP?
- Can these reports be saved to a file on a harddrive/server or sent out as a file in an email?

Currently, only XL Reporter supports scheduling reports. Crystal Report is planed to add this function in the near future. That is all I can tell.
