REPORT AND STATUS UPDATES - EXCHANGE
Hello
I have installed the Rollup 5 for Exchange 2010. So far so good. The issue is that
in "" Updates Needed "" point, tells me that the machine needs the Rollup 4 and 2 ...
Why can it be?? (I think It should not appear in the report ; NO need more updates )
(The report date is OK )

As I referred in my last post, if you have another Exchange Server that needed rollup 2 or 4, you may see such a status report. So the point is that if it is the only Exchange
Server.
And another reason I could think is the server lose connection with WSUS server since it installed rollup 5. Check the computer report, notice the date of last report.
The status
needed means:
You have approved the update for installation but the client computers have not contacted the WSUS server since you approved it.
The update has already been downloaded and installed, but the client computer has not contacted the WSUS server since the update was installed.
The update has already been downloaded and installed, but the client computer must be restarted before changes go into effect. The client computer has not been restarted.
The update has been downloaded to the computer but has not been installed.
The update has not been downloaded or installed on the computer.

Time stamps in reports and status are 7hrs off, is there a setting?
Time stamps in reports and status are 7hrs off, is there a regional setting to correct this?
When I run e-load all reports and any other time stamps are 7 hours off. (If I run a test at 9:20am pacific time the e-load shows 4:20pm). The e-test scripts show the correct time if I run those via e-test.
Is there a setting for this?

Actually, this is a known issue on Vista.
You need to edit the follwoing file to specify your timezone;
\Empirix\EmpAppServer\bin\JbossService.conf

Synchronous read file and status update
Hi,
CSV file to be loaded into the database table. ASP used as front end and ESB should be used for backend processing!
A csv file is placed in a fileshare by an asp page. After that a button is clicked on the asp page which inserts a record into a database table(A) with the file details. There is a flag field in the table which will be set to 'F' initially.
Now there should be an esb service which will be polling for any new records inserted into the database table(A).
Once it finds any new record, the esb service should update the flag status to 'RF' from 'F' and read the records in the csv file(I think synchronous read file should be used inthe file adapter) and insert them into a database table(B). The flag field is updated to 'RF' so that the asp page informs the user that the csv file is being inserted into the table(B).
After all the records are inserted, the esb service should once again update the flag in table(A) to 'Y' from 'RF' so that the asp page will indicate the user that the csv file is loaded into the data base table.
The challenges that I have here are:
1) I need to have the ESB service with such a sequence of execution that updates the table(A) at each stage so that the asp page can display the status to the USER.
2) The csv file size can be huge. It can contain as many as 100 thousand records with over 50 fields in each record. I will have to probably debatch the file. Once we debatch, seperate instance would be created for each batch. Now we should see to that flag in table(A) is updated to 'Y' only when the last batch of the records are processed.
I am using jdev10134 and oracle SOA suite ESB10134
Someone please advice on how to go ahead.

In the SMTP server settings below you need to replace with your HUB server FQDN if its 2010 or Mailbox server FQDN if its 2013 and after that i think it should work.

More specifically even when I click Tools->Sync Now nothing happens. Also when I do a "Reset Sync" via Tools->Options->Firefox Sync, nothing happens. Meaning no progress bar appears indicating that data is being synced or has been synced, as it used to happen in earlier versions of Firefox. Is there a way to know after pressing Sync Now that my data has been synced?
There is no visual representation to show that it has worked or is in progress, but if it fails you get a bar appearing at the bottom of the screen telling you that the sync failed.
If you add the Firefox Sync toolbar button to the toolbar, hovering the mouse over the button will give a tooltip showing the last date/time of the last successful sync. For details of how to add the button see https://support.mozilla.com/kb/how-do-i-customize-toolbars -
Unable to run bapis for project status update and date update together

I have a requirement to update the dates and status of a project WBS at level 4. I am trying to do update the CJ02 Transaction using standard BAPI available. I need to do both Date update and status update in the same LOOP PASS i am using the below mention bapi. when i am doing so i am getting an error Project 'A._____' has been currently processed by ID i.e. my id.
I have tried putting a wait for 2 seconds in the code but its still not working. please find the order below in which i am calling the bapi.

Did you try to debug through your code, leaving sufficient time between BAPI calls? If it does work like that, then the above statement might help. -
Use check box for report and form
Hi Expert,
I try to use check box to select multiple rows in a report and then click on a button to go to a form on another page to choose some values from the form and then do a mass update for records selected in reports.
I read the "How to Work with Check Boxes" in 2 Day Developer guide, it works fine to select mutiple rows in report and do update with process in that report page.
However, if I click on a button to go to another page which contains a form, seems the values stored in the package array are cleared and not passed to that page.
Do you know how I could make this work?

I am also in ECC6.0 & if i see the definition of the BAdI BADI_TAX1_XTXIT_SET, "Multiple Use" checkbox is checked! What are you trying to do - trying to create an implementation?
@Prabhu: Although the BAdI is "multiple-use", but there is not filter applied to it. Next time do your checks properly before replying

We have an Exchange 2013 on-premise server and seem to have an issue with emails sent to internal and external users at the same time.
The issue came to light because someone sent an email to 44 recipients, of which one was internal. None of the external recipients received the email. I checked the delivery report in the EAC and found the internal email marked as 'Delivered' and all of
the external ones marked as 'Pending'. I checked the queues and there were none. I did some testing and sent an email to just one of the external addresses on the list, it arrived. I tried sending the email again to all of the recipients, the external ones
all showed 'Pending'. I tried it again, but this time excluded the internal email address and all of the 43 external emails were immediately delivered.
So it seems that the issue only arises when we are sending to both internal and external addresses.
I then tried a test email to one internal address and one external address. The Delivery report says that the internal address was delivered immediately, while the external address is 'Pending' and gives more information saying: 'Message delivery is taking
longer than expected. There may be system delays. For more information, contact your helpdesk.'. To add further mystery to this, the email was actually delivered.
So, I have two concerns:
First is seems that some emails sent both internally and externally are only arriving internally. This is a huge problem because I don't know how many have been affected. There may be many lost emails we don't know about.
Second, it looks like I can't trust the delivery report. It says pending for some emails which didn't arrive, but it also says pending for some which did arrive. That is no good at all.
For info the server is running Windows Server 2012. I have run a Microsoft Update to check if there are any to apply and the only Exchange one is a spam filter update, which I doubt has any bearing but I will apply when I get chance.Hi Neil,

It has the similar situation as yours.
This issue occurs because a function in a message tracking component tries to obtain the information for the recipient instead of the external recipient.
Please try to upgrade to the latest Exchange update to check whether this issue can be solved.
Also please check whether Throttling has been set.
Please run "Get-TransportService | fl" to check the MaxOutboundConnections parameter value.

a. No update, no reporting (default)
If errors occur, the system terminates the update of the entire data package. The request is not released for reporting. However, the system continues to check the records.
b. Update valid records, no reporting (request red)
This option allows you to update valid data. This data is only released for reporting after the administrator checks the incorrect records that have not been updated and manually releases the request by setting the overall status on the Status tab page in the monitor (QM action).
c. Update valid records, reporting possible
Valid records can be reported immediately. Automatic follow-up actions, such as adjusting the aggregates, are also carried out.

MRU and manual updatable report on same page
ok. I understand that we can't have more than one MRU process on a page. Actually it seems 2 regions using the same MRU seems to work fine, but I had a problem adding a 3rd region with a new MRU. So I resorted to putting in my own updatable report. The code works well if I use an independent page but does not do anything as soon as I add it to the page with the MRU process.
The base query is like:

I added the p2_message to kind of trace what is happening. ok0 gets outputed in the multi-region page and nothing happen for the aupdate; while on the test page with this report as the only regio, I get the expected behavior and the update goes in correctly!
Is it correct to assume that the g_fxx arrays global to a page? I used g_f3x just to make sure there is no conflict with the ones generated with the MRU process.

You can use more than one region in the same page or even you can create multiple report in the same page. But remember you can not create as many region as you want, ofcourse there is limitation. Same theory applies to item.

Error Logging in B2B Business Message Status Reports and Error Reports.
Hi,
Could someone please let us know as to how the error messages are being shown up in the b2b frontend in the Business Message Details Report and Error Reports.
In some of the cases the error message logging is not happening properly and even against the valid transaction block the entire iAudit Report or the B2B Analyzer report is getting posted .
In some cases the error message is logged as AIP-51505: General Validation Error (for the transaction block which is valid and having no errors)
Is there any way from the b2b backend these error messages and business messages could be traced or is there any other way wherein the proper and relevant error messages could be tracked from B2B.

Error status reports identify error message details. These details include the error code, error text, business message identification, message date, and message details.

Performing check and potential update for status control table

I'm working on a 3.0B BW system.
After updating from PSA to an ODS, in the log I see the following line:
"Performing check and potential update for status control table" and double clicking on it, it says:
If data is loaded into an InfoCube, or existing data is edited (aggregated/compressed/deleted/got from a DataMart), then there is a change in the potential reportability of the data , or the possibility of deleting data by request, or of aggregating or compressing.
This status of each one of these Cubes is stored in a status table, that is updated when there is any change to the status of a request in the Cube.
The system now analyzes the requests in the Cube and compares the calculated status with the status table.
If deviations from the status table arise then you are given the option of adjusting the status table.
I have 2 questions:
1) What is BW doing, mainly because I'm working on an ODS and not an Infocube?
2) What can I do to reduce its execution time, since it lasts several minutes?
