error message displayed is /bin/reports.sh no such file or directory
is rwbuilber.sh is the file to run reports in linux Os or is it a different file

Webi reports are not opening

Hi all,
Couple of weeks ago we had an issue that all the Webi reports were not opened for all the users. When we checked with the infrastructure team all process were running very slow. I thought this is due to there is only one CMS server installed on unix system? My question is this possible to create more than one cms server on the same machine? If possible what are the necessary things are need to have a second CMS server?

Hi Raj,
You can have multiple CMS servers in the same machine as long as you have multiple CPUs. Anyway, I will recommend to ad another server to the cluster.
To add another CMS, you need to go to the:
CMC > Servers > Manage (Menu) > New Server > Select "Core Services" - "Central Management Service".
You need to select a different port than the one you use for the first CMS.
However, you should check which one was the server that was consuming CPU when you had the issue to identify if it was due to WebI processing. It might be that a problematic WebI report was created or something unusual was happening in the system. If you have enabled auditing you can examine what was happening in the system at that time.

Context Menu in BW Report Iview not opening after upgrade to Portal 7.3

Hi All,
We have a unusual problem that, the Context menu of the BW reports for options like filtering is not opening post Upgrade to Portal 7.3 for End users.
However, with Super Admin role, the Context menu opens for the BW report Iview.
I have tried giving the same permission that the Super Admin Role has on the BW Report Iview to the End users, still no success.
Any idea? Anybody faced same kind of problem?
Please revert for any more info.

This is really a shot in the dark since I have not done much with 7.3. Have you checked for UME actions that are assigned to the administrator but not the end user?

I have a Crystal Report that will not open. It gives the following error messages:
1.The report uses and invalid printer. The default printer will be used instead.
2.Failed to open document.
3.TSLV Record Not Found.
4.The report couldnot be opened for writing. Any changes must be saved to a new file.
Then it will not open the file at all. Anyon have this type of issue before?

I don't think so, forget that. If you downloaded the file with Firefox try to do it again with Internet Explorer. I remember some time ago Mozilla having issues with some binary files. Or tell the client to zip the file before emailing it to you - if unzipping works and CR still complains about missing records then the problem is only on your machine and you should check the dlls (Google for them).

SCCM Client Report Tool not opening up correct URL to Report Server

I recently install the SCCM 2012 right click tools and within the downloaded zip file there is SCCMClientToolsSetup2012.exe which adds a whole bunch of additional features when right clicking devices in the console. The problem is no matter what I put as
the Report Server while doing the install, it never opens the reports for the device... It gives me the following error:
Server Error in '/ReportServer' Application.
The resource cannot be found.

I have changed the report server virtual directory to match ReportServer from the default, but it still does not open the reports... Any idea what could I might be wrong?
I have the console and right click tools installed on my Windows 7 workstation. the Server is Windows 2012 Datacenter with SQL 2012 and SCCM 2012 R2.

Yes, it appears to work directly from the console and via web... But it does show Report.aspx vs. ReportViewer.aspx.

System Services Reporting is not opening from main SAP screen menu.

I have upgraded kernel patch in all our three systems of DEV, QAS & PRD, from patch level 139 to 376 (Kernel 460_REL). After upgrade ll system are working fine.
Yet, System>Services>Reporting option is not opening from SAP Menu, even it is not giving any kind of error message too.
While the same screen is opening from X-code: SA38.

If you go to transaction SE80 -> Repository Information System -> Other objects -> Transactions and you search for SOAMANAGER, you get into the screen where you can modify attributes for this transaction. Please check if there are strange values entered in there... Or maybe SAPGUI for HTML is not selected.

Configmgr Reporting is not opening.

I am having a problem with sccm report while I am opening via console it's asking for user name & password and it is not accepting the user name and password finally showing u are not having the permission but I am having the permission and it was working
before one day one more thing it is opening in IE while I am typing like http://IP address/SMSReporting_site code/ but while I am typing http://server host name/SMSReporting_site code/ it is not opening asking for user name and password as happening in console.please
help me for the issue.

Reports can not open sometimes.

we can not open our report file sometimes especially contains OLE object.
In Open report dialog we click the file name but nothing happen .
I thing file format is corrupt.
How can we solve this problem.

I believe you are taking about Reports 6i version here since OLE support is deprecated in 9i Reports. Please note that this feature is only for Windows platform. One or two issues were resolved in latest version of 6i Reports patch. Please try with ont of the latest pathces.

RMS reports do not open in a new window

I am trying to access RMS reports (Control -> View reports). I am using IE 6.0 . No pop ups are blocked. But the new IE window which shows the report is not being displayed. This however is working fine for 2 of my colleagues who have IE 7.0 . But the documentation says that it should work for IE 5.5 + . ? Any suggestions ?

Barcode report is not working in linux

i am running the report using the barcode, which is running perfectly in the windows server - i meant in the report builder.
but when i try run the same report in linux server through application, i am getting the below mentioned error:

HTML links from Full Check Accessibility report do not open the corresponding PDF links

I regularly generate full Check accessibility reports for the PDF user guides I create in MSWord. However, when I click the links in the HTML file/report generated, they are supposed to link/highlight the corresponding errors in the PDf file. Instead, I get an error message that "There was an error opening this document. Bad parameters."
How can I get the links to work so I know which section in my PDF has the error (inaccessible items).

I understand you are creating HTML reports and then using them to find errors/view the PDFs.
Is this a new problem or have you always had problems with the links? If it's a new problem, what has changed on your system?
Can you view other PDFs in your browser?
Have you moved any of the files since you created the report -- as you may know the HTML report references a specific lcoation on your hard drive and if you moved the PDF after creating the report, it may not be able to find the file.

1.I have set the CLASSPATH in reports.sh
2.and I also added the classPath value in <engineId...> tag in the reportservername.confg file.
3.And I restart the report server as well as application server also. still I am getting the following error messages.

In windows I followed the same steps its working fine.But Linux its not working any idea.!!! Its really urgent....

Hi,
I have installed Hyperion Foundation Services 11.1.1.1.0 and IR 11.1.1.1.0
I am trying to access IR through Workspace
I could see the procedure like File-> New-> Document_> interactive reporting document.
Then i have selected a .oce file to make connection. but i am not able to progress to the next window.
after selecting .oce file a new pop up is getting populated.Then it is closed automatically in a fraction of second...
I dont know what is the problem.

then another one new win dow is getting opend.
In that window It was asking for the

Portal GUI and reports are not opening correctly once opened from any client explorer

HI,
If I try to open portal admin page and discoverer to view reports using browser installed on same unix server (Using Xwindow) , everything is opening perfect. while If I open from any client machine the browser doesn't show things correctly , not able to click links ,not able to open drop down list...

Ok so I saw this issue recently and it was effecting one user for specific documents.
The fix was not very technical but try and see if this fixes it:
Click View -- Arrange ll -- Select Cascade
This should bring up the document correctly
Maximize the working Sheet
Minimize the same Sheet
Then maximize the Sheet again
Then close the Sheet
Close excel
Open up the file
