Report error in Reports 10g

after passing all input parameters and click on Run,I m getting the below error message while running the reports
Rep- 8:Run time error in pl/sql development environment IDE
PDE-PSD001: COULD NOT resolve reference to <unknown program unit> while laoding<>
rep-0008:unexpected memory error while initializing preferences.

Reports error on Reporting Services

Hi
When I run reports in Report Server ServiceManager.Report.ChangeManagement.ListOfRFCs happens the following error:
The Value expression for the query parameter '@ AllLabel' contains an error: An error occurred while deserializing the object. The serialized data is corrupt.
In this report SCSM console runs normally.
I did the same test lab and the error was the same, however was another parameter.
Can anyone help me?
I'd like to customize this report.

Ok looks like the console report works fine.....they are having issues since all they use is the console to run the reports which has the option in there for the time zone.
Not sure but it seems they should rewrite the reports properly....so for now I can setup the reports through SSRS but will need to verify it runs through the console if that makes any sense.

Oracle Apps Report error "Oracle Reports Server CGI - The Reports Server Engine terminated abnormally."

Hi ,
I have modified layout of one existing custom report.
I have added 3 columns in the report , Now when I execute the report sometimes it gets executed with the newly added columns and sometimes it errors out with below error.
Error: The requested URL was not found, or cannot be served at this time.
Oracle Reports Server CGI - The Reports Server Engine terminated abnormally.
Any pointers in this regards will be appreciated.

I found there were some srw.message statement ( used for debugging purpose) were there , when I removed those statements. This error was gone.

XL Reporter error on report composor - wont launch

When trying to compose a report get the following error.
Unable to create component - Report COmposor.ixreportcomposer class not registered looking ofr object with CLSID:{35F4532F-F492-47C1-9203-361B0ESA8E22}

First you should installed MS excel when you ware installing SAP client in the system otherwise it will you same error.
if excel installed then no problen login admin rights in the syatem and again installed XL- Reporter add-on.
SAP user should have add-on licence in licence administration.
It will work.

Crystal Reports error - The Report Application Server failed

Hi,
I am getting the following error on XP Professional system. These reports were built earlier by one of my collegue and am trying to use the app but i stuck up getting the below error. The report gets failed

I am trying to replicate the same issue on new desktop which has crystal reports 9.1 & 10 installed. I still see crystal reports 9.1 controls when i open VS.net. when i compare both desktop installed softwares, i found that the other desktop has "Crystal Reports 10 .NET runtime installed" which is not there on the new desktop. please advise whether i need to install this software to get ver 10 components installed? Appreciate your help on this. can you also advise the software download location for 10 .net run time installation?
In other words, though crystal reports 10 got installed on this desktop but it is not getting referenced in VS.NET. I am seeing only 9.1 version assemblies are being used. hence my solution is not getting compiled in this desktop. Please advise how to get the version 10 assemblies referenced in the solution

Error on reports server 11g.

I have been trying to find info about this problem but I cant find how, the mesage codes (Message -473022448 not found) are always different.
I receive this error ramdomly, sometimes after 30,300, or 800 reports have been generated, and it fixes itself after a while.
I need to fix it.
Please help.

24 Hour Metrics Report return null report

We have problems in VMS 2.3 (IDSMC/SecMon 2.1) to run the 24 Hour Metrics Report. It seems to run, but returns following error on opening the report : Error loading report: null.

Security Monitor uses log files for error messages and state information, and for temporary data storage. Because log files reside on the same disk as the database, you must monitor their size and periodically move them off the system or delete them to ensure that the database has enough space to operate.

REP-1804 report error 10g

I am attempting to run a delimited report through a form but throws error REP-1804 (not valid printer definition file). DESFORMAT is set to delimited but surely i dont need to have a delimited.prt file, not sure there is such a thing. Also when running direct from report builder delimited report is produce with no problems without a delimited.prt being present.
My question is why does it check for a .prt file when calling via form(command line) but NOT when running direct from report builder (10g).

Error Running Reports as Portlet in Oracle AS 10g

#First, I create the report server using Reports Server Access Portlet (Administration> Oracle Reports Security Setting)
When defining the Server Name and Printers, I fill the fields like this:
Display Name : MY_REPORTS_SERVER
Reports Server Name : myserver
Oracle Reports Web Gateway URL for JSP reports : http://stts:7778/
Oracle Reports Web Gateway URL for RDF reports : http://stts:7778/reports/rwservlet
#Second, I create the report definition using Reports Definition File Access portlet
Display Name : myreport
Reports Servers : MY_REPORTS_SERVER
Oracle Reports File Name : test.rdf (default report sample)
Execute : via servlet
#The problem is.....
When I tried to run the report by clicking Run / Run as Portlet link, the report doesn't show up.
Then, I rightclick-View Page Source on the page

I found that the src tag is doubling my computername into sttsstts, it supposed to be stts only.
How come this happen???

but the when tried to run the report again, the src still added by computername become:

Error calling report FRM-41213 unable to connect to Report Server

I have installed Oracle Database 10g R2 and Oracle Developer 10gR2.
I installed it in both Windows 2000 SP4 and Windows XP SP2.
I would like to call a Report using a button inside Oracle Form.
I create my own Report Server, using : rwserver server=repsrv
A Java-based window appear OracleAS Reports Sevice, and showed that repsrv is ready.
In Form (inside a button -> WHEN-BUTTON-PRESSED) :
1. Using RUN_REPORT_OBJECT()

   a. If I did not specify the name of the Report Server in Reports node of Form's property object
(I leave it blank)

The PDF file created and it looks exactly as the web layout as in Oracle Report Builder (Run Web Layout CTRL-R)

1. What supposed to be done?
The Report server is ready, but the web browser seems unable to connect to Report Server.
2. Can we used or call or executed an executable command line from Form (using PL/SQL inside button)?

I got the solution from another post.
Re: REP-51002: Bind to Reports Server rep failed
Here are the step I did.
Note : Please make backup for the following file : rwnetwork.conf
- In file rwnetwork.conf, remove or commented the following
<multicast channel="228.5.6.7" port="14021" timeout="1000" retry="3"/>
- And then uncommented
<namingService name="Cos" host="%NAMING_HOST%" port="%NAMING_PORT%"/>
- replace the
%NAMING_HOST% with your computer name or specify an IP address
%NAMING_PORT% with 14021
It should look like this :
<namingService name="Cos" host="blahblah" port="14021"/>
- I did not change the : name="Cos", since I do not understand what does it for
- Save you changes.
- Start the OC4J.
- Find the location of : namingservice.bat (on Windows platform)
- execute in the command line : namingservice.bat 14021
- finally start the report in the web browser
Note:
To shutdown the namingservice, use : namingservice.bat 14021 shutdown

Urgent: Calling Reports from Oracle Forms 10g (10.1.2.0.2) fails

Problem displaying a report from within Oracle 10g forms.
After a lot of work, we are able to access and actually display a report directly from Internet explorer and view the report from the report server as well.
The successful url was:

The report executes without error (as indicated by the message on the last line) but does NOT display back to the screen
checking the rwservlet/showjobs verifies the report completed and the reportcan be displayed from there.
So, bottom line: how to make a 10g form call report and display it on the screen?

Migrating Graphs from Reports 6i to Reports 10g

While migrating Graphs from Reports 6i to Reports 10g is there a possibility of maintaining the same graphs rather than recompiling them using the Graph Wizard of Reports 10g. I have hundreds of reports with graphs and will be an uphill task to re-draft all the graphs. Kindly suggest alternatives to overcome this dead-lock.

Hello Sridhar,
10g is not supporting Graphics builder. So you got to create/insert all these 6i graphs in 10g. Open the 6i report and compile in 10g. It will give you file not found error. Delete the graph area in the layout editor.
Then drag the chart icon and drop in layout. Redesign again. Offcourse it is not fun. But there is no way.
Also there are tons of bugs in 10g report Graphs. You won't find some cool features like Others % option in the pie slice provided by Graphics bulider. You got to change graph.xml file for some of the features. Even the graphs looks ugly in 10g. Migrating graph reports is really frustrating in 10g. But we have no choice. Recently we migrated to 10g. Becareful with matrix reports. 10g keeps on getting crashed when ever we develop matrix report. GOD knows the reason.
But 10g has some very very good features like Distribution

Run Report error while viewing the results in BIP

Hi friends,
When I tried to view the BIP report once after building data model with lov in an layout using BIP 10g, im getting the below error like
Report Cannot Be Rendered Because Of An Error, contact administrator
Im not sure with the above error, as it is not showing the cause for the problem.
Kindly friends help me with this issue.

Actually, I have installed the OBIEE in Linux. I have directly ported the RPD file that I have created in my local windows system onto the OBIEE in linux host. I am not aware of any setup that needs to be done prior to start working on this. Can you please let me know what are all the changes to be done in odbc.ini or point me to any resource which has those details.
