and at the logging categories > global, i apply the new create log collector to all logging categoires.
Am i doing it right?
please comment, thanks
Noel

Hi Yong,
Yes that's possible. You can use the web interface to configure logging category messages so that they are sent to remote syslog server targets
http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/net_mgmt/cisco_secure_access_control_system/5.3/user/guide/logging.html#wp1052741
ACS provides these preconfigured global ACS logging categories, to which you can assign log targets.

  • How can I force the close of a third party ActiveX server.

We have a third party ActiveX executable that refuses to shut itself down once in a while. And when I say once in a while, I mean one out of every 20-30 times it's attempted. All termination commands are being sent and recieved properly, and all refnums are being closed. No errors are ever generated, all operations report successful, but the thing just won't die. Problem is of course, that if we attempt to restart our software after the ActiveX app fails to terminate, it generates server execution errors when trying to open a new instance. We are not expecting a speedy resolution from the third party, but it is becoming a great inconvenience for our customers. I would like to be able to kill the process thro
ugh the OS as a last resort. Problem is, to do that I need a ProcID. Is there any way to retrieve a ProcID for the ActiveX server through LabVIEW? Alternatives and suggestions are welcome.

    Hello codeman,
Thank you for your inquiry regarding closing a third party ActiveX server. It sounds like the third party application is having trouble closing. There are several Windows Utility VIs available that could help in this case. One of the Utility VIs is called Get Window Refnum and should return an instance of a Windows window. The following links are great resources when dealing with this issue.

  • How can I call reports from a third party tool?

    Hi!
I'm a Delphi 6 developer and our company has a customer that want to call reports created in Crystal Reports directly from our software.
What is the quickest way to open a report from a third party tool (passing parameters) ?
There is a way to do that without embedding Crystal VCL components in Delphi?   I'm searching for a command line tool or a way to open it with URLs....
    Thanks in advance!

One of the 3rd-party Crystal Reports viewers listed at http://www.kenhamady.com/bookmarks.html provides a full command line API, so you can call a report from your app and pass parameter values, login info, etc.

  • CUPS 8.5 Third-party compliance server Options

  • Lync integration with Third-Party mail server's

    Hi all,
Does Lync integrates with any third party mail servers?
Or it integrates only with Exchange Server?
    Regards,
    ArunKumar.J

Agree with Thamara.  Exchange is the only platform supported for presence as well as voice functionality.  The client uses EWS to communicate with the server to check calendar integration, nothing else is going to mimic this properly enough to
    avoid issues.

  • Re: Built-In Web Server Configuration vs Third-Party Web Server?

    Hi Guys,
I am new to Coldfusion and I plan on setting it up within a Windows based environment for development purposes, I will eventually upload my files to a shared hosting service..
Could I get a pros vs cons comparison of configuring Coldfusion using the Built-In Web Server vs a Third-Party Webserver such as Apache?
My initial feeling is if I could keep the installation simple by using the self contained Built-In Web Server then why wouldn't I do that?  I'm guessing there must be more to it.  Please explain!
    Thanks in advance!

The built-in web server is sufficient for local CF development. It's what I use nowadays.
If you have web server-specific implementation details as part of your application, like URL rewriting, you'll want to use whatever web server will be used in production.

  • Logon Problem in to third party HTTP Server using HTTP Adapter

    Hi All,
I am trying to use a receiver HTTP Adapter to communicate to third party asp based Webserver.
The Server expects the content type as application/x-www-form-urlencoded.
So, in the HTTP receiver communication channel I gave content type as application/x-www-form-urlencoded. The Problem is that now we are getting logon error message from the application though we use the correct user and password provided by them.
They have given us a HTTP test tool which is perfectly working with the user ad password used in PI HTTP Adapter receiver channel.
kindly share your thoughts on this issue.
    Thanks in advance.
    Regards,
    Sudharshan N A

    Satish,
I have used Non-SAP logon only..
I doubt that the problem may be due to some encoding issue.. since the webserver expects a different Content type (application/x-www-form-urlencoded).
I donno if my doubt is logical
    thanks.

  • LDAP synchronization with third party directory server

    Hi,
In release 2 I have created a java program, that synchronizes a MS Active Directory (and other LDAP compliant directorys) and the OID, with the purpose to maintain Portal users and groups automatically.
Often the tree structure in the third party DS is structured in an organizational manner (company, divisions, departments and users).
Is it possible to "copy" this structure into the OID so the users will be able to log on to the Portal application or is it necessary to create Portal users in the "cn=users" that was created during installation of the infrastructure database.
Any help will be appreciated, thanks
    Steffen Vogdrup

You can configure the location of users in OID by modifying the value of the orclcommonusersearchbase attribute in cn=Common,cn=Products,cn=OracleContext,<subscriber_dn> to point to the highest node of the user subtree. However, there are three seeded users PUBLIC, PORTAL and PORTAL_ADMIN. These users will need to be moved directly under the new user search base. Any groups that contain references to these users in owner or uniquemember attributes will also have to be updated to reflect the correct DNs. After you have gone through these steps, you will need to run ssoca to reconfigure the SSO server and then run ptlasst in the MIDTIER mode to rewire Portal with the OID server.

  • How do I get my Third-Party Mail Server to deliver Mail quickly to BlackBerry?

With Gmail and Yahoo! the mail delivery is very fast.  We own/use a Windows Mail Server that is IMAP/POP/Etc. but sometimes it take mail quite some time to display in the BlackBerry device.  Is there a trick to it?
    Thanks for the help.

With BlackBerry Internet Service (BIS) accounts e-mail accounts are polled every 15 minutes for mail. If mail is found then it is pushed to the device. Then the mail account is polled every 3 minutes (for 5 cycles) for mail. If there is no mail found, then it will be polled again in 15 minutes.
Gmail and Yahoo! Mail have special agreements with RIM that allow the mail to be delivered instantly, thus the instantaneous push. If you want your mail instantly pushed then you would need to create a BlackBerry E-mail Account (via your carrier's BIS web site) then configure your mail account to forward the mail to the BlackBerry e-mail account.
For example, let's say you have T-Mobile. You could create an e-mail account called [email protected] Then you would configure your third-party e-mail account to forward any e-mails received to the [email protected] address. This way the messages would come through instantly. More information on this is here: Methods of Receiving E-mail on BlackBerry
The only other option would be to use a BlackBerry Enterprise Server (BES) or a Hosted BES provider (like MailStreet or ExchangeMyMail).

  • Exporting data third party system into SAP

    Hi folks,
I am working on a task of hiring a applicant from a third party recruitment system into SAP. I have written an interface, to extract the data from the recruitment system and using the FM 'HR_PREPARE_NEW_EE' I store them in the interface table(T752F)
Then I use PA48 to conduct the process of hiring action for the applicants.
    Question:
Using the FM i can import various data elements from the import parameters available,  however when I use the transaction code PA48 I do not see all the additional parameters like address, city that I have imported for the candidate record.
Do I need to configure the transaction code into include all the additional columns that I am importing ?
    How can I do it?
Any thoughts or leads would be really helpful. I am kind of stuck here.
    I appreciate it,
    Thanks,
    VG

    hi folks,
Have any one worked integration of third party recruitment service with SAP? I have successfully uploaded the data related to various data elements of infotypes 0,1, 2,6 etc..  into the temporary storage table (T752F)  However when I use the transaction code PA42 some of the data elements are not hsowing up on the infotype screens like address data (available in the temporary storage for the candidate).
Do anyone have the experience of working using PA42 transaction to hire a candidate from the data in the temporary storage table ?
I need some help. Your help is appreciated.
    Thanks,
    VG

  • Third Party Syslog on Windows LMS

Fortunately,  I’ve previously been referred to the following whitepaper here with regards to installing a standalone syslog daemon on an LMS server.
However, I’m wondering if anyone has successfully implemented the local mode solution on a Windows instance of LMS?
If so, what edition of syslog-ng did you use?
Or alternatively, has anyone successfully installed another syslog receiver on a Windows LMS server that was able to forward messages to both internally to LMS and additional NMS hosts whilst maintaining the original source host details?
    Thanks for any feedback.

You added the tag, lms2.6.  In LMS 2.6, the only supported syslog server is the crmlog server which ships with LMS.  Not even syslog-ng was tested.  The syslog-ng support will require LMS 3.2.  As for setting this up, I have only done it on Solaris.
It might be easiest to install Cygwin on your server, build syslog-ng under Cygwin (with spoofing enabled), then use the Cygwin syslog-ng binary.  Finding a Windows native binary, or trying to build it with Win32 (if even possible) would probably be too much of a hassle.
