Report file .rpt not included in clickonce publishing

Hi,
I created a application in VS2005 incuding a CrystalReport. It is running well on developing machine. The application is published with VS clickonce on a publishing server. The necessarry report file .rpt isn't included in publishing files. How do I get this into the publishing files?
Thanks
Andreas

I don't understand this because I do as you described in the devlibrary: http://devlibrary.businessobjects.com/BusinessObjectsXIR2SP2/en/devsuite.htm
Here is a clickonce Deployment description. If you do like this you'll see, that it doesn't work because the .rpt file isn't included.

I think there is not native rule for this, but you could try a transport rule which removes all attachments over a very small file size like 1KB.

  • LabView 2010 Application Builder for EXE Always Included files are not Included

In LabVIEW 2010 F2, When I am using the Application Builder to build an EXE file, I have listed 10 or so files to Be "Always Included". But when I Explore the directory where the EXE was built, those "Always Included" files are not there or in any subdirectory under the EXE file.
This frequently makes my EXE file not work properly because important files are missing. I have to spend extra debugging time to find out the the cause of my problem is missing files that the Application Builder should have transferred "Always".
Why did the Application Builder, when building an EXE target, not include the files that should be "Always Included"?
Why does the Application Builder ignore these files specifications?

    Dennis Knutson wrote:
The build does include files you select. Post an example project with a small VI and some separate files where this does not happen.
No, it does not appear that all of the files that I listed in the "Always Include" list are copied during the Build process to the Build directory or any subdirectory under that.
The Build Source Files.jpg file shows most of the list of the files that should be "Always Included". Notice the .VI and .ctl files that are listed
The Build Directory.jpg file shows the file in the Build directory that were built.
The Data Directory.jpg file shows the data directory under the Build directory and may include some of the files listed in the "Always Include", but not all of them.
The other subdirectories under the Build directory were created by me and do not include any files that were copied during the Build process.
So not ALL of the files that were included in the "Always Include" list were copied into the Build directory area as expected. ALL of the files that are listed as "Always Include" should be copied, if they exist. Those files existed when then were selected for the List and they existed at the time of the Build.
I can not include an example project that demonstrates this. I am prevented from doing so by the terms of an NDA. You are going to have to take my word that this event is real and happens the same way every time. This information should be sufficient for someone to investigate why do not ALL of the files listed in the "Always Include" list are copied into the Build directory area regardless of the file type or contents.

  • Saved pdf file does not include filled in text

i am using adobe acrobat pro; trail version.  I can fill in a fillable pdf file but after saving the file and then emailing the filethe received email attachment does not include my text included in the pdf form?

It most likely does include it in the form, but the PDF viewer that's being used does not display it. If the user were to use Adobe Reader/Acrobat, the form data should appear as expected. The default PDF viewer that mobile devices and some browsers use don't have sufficient support for forms.
If the recipient does not need to interact with the form fields, you can flatten the form before sending it out. This converts the form field appearances to regular page content, so it will very likely appear fine in most any PDF viewer. Post again if you need help flattening form fields using Acrobat.

  • HELP! SWF file is not allowing me to publish in presenter

I am in need of some help with a problem that I can not figure out. Presenter will not allow me to publish any courses that I have SWF files incorporated into to. Here is what happens. The SWF file plays just fine, as it is inserted into 1 slide, and works properly on powerpoint. When I go to publish the course, it does all the steps like normal, and looks like it is publishing and zipping the file correctly. Problem is when I go into the file where I am publishing/zipping file to, it is not there. Very odd.... I know it definately has to do with the SWF file because one of my courses does not have the video in it and that published and zips just fine. Any ideas on what the problem might be?
I am using Adobe Presenter 7.06, Windows XP, and PowerPoint 2007

To find out if the swf is AS2 or AS3 you can try the following
From Presenter, click on Insert SWF and in the window that opens up, select a swf file
If the swf is an AS3 swf, you will see a warning message towards the bottom of this window
And regarding the problem that you are facing, its really strange as we have not heard of any such issues till now
Can you try publishing to some custom folder(say create a folder on Desktop and choose the same in the publish dialog instead of the default location)
and verify if the published files are getting generated or not

  • Itunes reports file could not be found

Whenever I try to synch my iPod, iTunes does two things:
    1.  It reports several "file not found" errors; the filenames look like they were possibly pictures (and maybe this is connected to #2, below)
    2.  It reports that Drive H: is unavailable...which it is.  I don't know why it thinks it should be looking there.
I cannot find anywhere in the iTunes library where these missing files exist...so I cannot delete them.  And, I cannot find any way to get iTunes to stop trying to find a Drive H: on my PC!

Try trashing your iPod's Photo cache and resyncing your iPod.  See here for information on what the Photo Cache is and where to find in on your system.
iTunes: Understanding the iPod Photo Cache folder
Does iTunes report that the H: drive is missing or is this message coming from your Windows OS?  Perhaps it wouldn't hurt to also change your iPod's drive letter.
Windows confuses iPod with network drive or hard drive and may keep iPod from mounting or songs may seem to disappear

that's probably a local security restriction you have.  reset it to allow your swf to communicate across your local sandbox to the internet:  http://www.macromedia.com/support/documentation/en/flashplayer/help/settings_manager04.htm l

  • Imported Flash files are not playing in published output

Adobe Presenter 7 with the latest updates and PowerPoint 2007
When I insert a Captivate 3 generated Flash file into a Presenter slide, the flash file does not play in the Published output. The slide's image is displayed for 5 seconds and then stops.
After further review, I found that my imported Flash files are not included in the output. Any ideas?
    Terry

    Hi Terry,
It's been awhile since I've messed around w/ Captivate 3, but I have a quick question: does your Captivate content include a skin.swf file?  If so, then you may have to look at a couple of different solutions to fix the playback problem that you're seeing with Presenter.
One fix includes eliminating the skin by turning the borders option off which will eliminate the "_skin.swf" file. That'll be one less file to deal with, but you need to do that BEFORE publishing in Captivate.  From there, you should end up with one swf file from your Captivate content; and then at that point you can include that swf in your Presenter content.
And while we're at it....are you using any Full Motion Recordings at all?  I've seen instances where, as you reported, Captivate content will run for awhile, but then the screen "goes blank"...so I'm just curious to know if your Captivate content in actuality has many more files than the "base" swf---which is probably the swf you included in PowerPoint.
Having said that, can you share more information about what your Captivate project looks like (in terms of the number of swf files you're working with, etc), and let's see if we can resolve this for you.

  • Crystal report files created, but why not all?

I am using several (total 19) Crystal report files (*.rpt) in my project as report or subreport. When I delete these rpt files under my "...\bin\Debug" folder and run the application I see that some (exactly 14) of them are automatically retrieved back into the "...\bin\Debug" folder.
But there are several other reports (remaining 5 of them) I also want them to be created at the application start. I have debugged the application from tha main entrance and saw that the rpt files are generated even the first line of code is executed. Also checked my "App.config" file (where I hold the paths for these report originals) and added the most recently created report that is not retrieved into the file, but the file is not retrieved.
I have also checked the contents of "XXXXX.exe" (XML Configuration file), "XXXXX.vshost.exe" (XML Configuration file) under "...\bin\Debug" folder and "XXXXX" (Microsoft Visual Studio Solution), "XXXXX" (Microsoft Visual Studio Project file), "XXXXX.csproj" (Visual Studio Project User Options file), "XXXXX" (XML Configuration file) under the project folder but I still can not figure out how the Visual Studio determines which ones to retrieve and leave others
    Any help would be appreciated.
    Regards.

This could be related to the Build Action property for the .rpt file.  Compare the settings for this property to see if the files that are not copied have a different setting.
