I've downloaded "Oracle8i Enterprise Edition Release 3 (8.1.7) for Compaq Tru64 UNIX" zipped files from OTN, and "InfoZip's zip utility" for Compaq Tru64" too.
When I try to start the unzip utility, it goes in dump with the following error message:
21430:unzip: /sbin/loader: Error: Unresolved symbol in unzip: CentSigMsg
Memory fault(coredump)
How could I solve that problem?

I get this exception (and long stack trace) when attempting to start my weblogic server. I'm running Weblogic 7 with Portal 7 (sp 1). I'm using Oracle 8.1.7. I upgraded this application from weblogic portal 4.0, and never had this problem there. As part of the migration process, I ran the tool to migrate all of the database tables, and I re-synched the EBCC project using version 7 of EBCC. I did a search for this problem and found a few mentions of it that seemed to be related to Oracle's handling of CLOB data. Apparently, there is a patch, but I can't seem to find this patch. I'm also not sure if this is indeed the problem since I didn't have this issue with the older version of weblogic using the same database. Any suggestions?

If you have a support contract please open a case so we can work through
this problem.
Can you run an sqlplus session on your database, execute the commands
"delete from data_sync_item" and "commit", then resync to see if it will
get you around the problem. The data_sync_item table will be fully
populated after you sync. This should get you running.
Between 4.0 and 7.0 the DefaultRequestPropertySet.req file was reduced
in size -- the CLOB would be smaller in the data_sync_item table.
I would recommend using the Version Checker against your installation --
find it on the dev2dev.bea.com site to see if the upgrade installer work
ed properly. Also consider running the full installer to avoid possible
problems that might occur with upgrade installers.
As a result of that patch you referenced in 4.0 the CLOB handling logic
was changed in 7.0 -- this is why it is strange you are seeing cleaving
errors. In 7.0 SP2 to be release next week the data sync and
persistence code was changed also.
Are you using the OCI or Thin driver?

Are you using a UTF-8 Oracle database?

If you create a new User Profile in the EBCC and compare it to your
migrated .usr file do you see differences in the DTD's?
I recreated a new version of the .usr in the EBCC, and still got the same error.
I also tried deleting everything from the data-sync-item table and re-synching.
What does the DocumentManager section of your application-config.xml

despite the workaround, it doesn't fix the real problem. It shouldn't be a huge deal for adobe to add support for multiple svn versions. Dreamweaver is the first tool i've used that works with svn that doesn't support several types of svn meta data. If they're going to claim that Dreamweaver supports svn is should actually support svn, the current version, not a version several years old. This should have been among the first patches released, or at least after snow leopard came out (and packaged with it the current version of svn).

Sorry, I don't understand these things well enough to explain it, but the gist of it is that in the past, many mechanisms (including 'mach_init') were used to start processes for services, etc. during startup, but since Tiger, Apple has been working toward consolidating them so that eventually 'launchd' will presumably take over everything. If you are really interested, there is some documentation on the startup process here:

Regarding the files though, if you did a clean install, it seems odd that they are there - I did an upgrade install, and the files you mentioned weren't present on my system (the "LaunchAgents" versions were). It seems odd to me that there would be that redundancy in a fresh install, especially if it is generating errors. As long as the launchd counterparts are present, it will probably be safe to remove the 'mach_init' ones, but as before, back them up just in case.
Specifically, you can try to match a given file to service by searching the web to help you decide if it is something you want mess with it. For starters, I found this page by searching for the file names you mentioned in the earlier post:

What is ticket? Process flow ticket
Handling tickets is called Issue Tracking system. The errors or bugs forwarded by the end user to the support team are prioritized under three seviority High, Medium and Low. Each and every seviority as got its time limits before that we have to fix the error.
The main job of the supporting consultant is to provide assistance on line to the customer or the organisation where SAP is already implemented for which the person should be very strong in the subject and the process which are implemented in SAP at the client side to understand,to analyse,to actuate and to give the right solution in right time.This is the job of the support consultant.
The issues or the tickets(problems) which are arised is taken care of on priority basis by the support team consultants.
The work process in support projects are given below for your reference.
1. The customer or the end user logs a call through any tool or by mail (RADIX).
2. Each one of the support team is a part of support group.
3. Whenever a customer logs a call he /she has to mention to which work group (by name).
4. Once the calls came to the work group the support consultant or the team need to send an IR (Initial Response) to the user depending upon the priority of the calls. (Top,High,Med,Low,None)
5. Then the error is fixed, debugged by the support consultant or the team. Then after testing properly by generating TR(Transport Request through the basis admin)
6. Then it is informed to the end user/customer/super user about the changes which have moved to the production server by CTS process.
These are the process. In summary, what I understand is that if any configuration or customization is required to solve the issue, then the consultant have to work on DEV Client, then the end user will test it in the QA client and after approval the BASIS consultant has to transport it to the PRODUCTION client.
An example:
Tickets in SD can be considered as the problems which the end user or the employee in the company face while working on R/3. Tickets usually occur during the implementation or after theimplementation of the project. There can be numerous problem which can occur in the production support and a person who is working in the support has to resolve those tickets in the limited duration, every ticket has the particular deadline alert so your responsibility is to finish it before that deadline.
To begin with , we should give "TICKET" to you for not knowing it.
Here is an eg of a ticket raise:
End user is not able to
1. Create Sales order for a customer from a New plant , since shipping point determination is not happened . ( Without Shipping point the document becomes INCOMPLETE and he will not be able to proceed further like DELIVERY, BILLING).
He raises a ticket and the priority is set in one of the below:
1. Low 2. Medium 3. High.
Now you need to solve this ticket. You would analyze the problem and identify that the SP configuration has to be done for the new plant.
You would request a transport for DEV CLIENT to BASIS. You do the change and Request one more Transport to BASIS for QA client. The End user will test the same by creating a sales order for the new plant and approve it.
Finally, you request a transport to move the changes to PRODUCTION. Once the change is deployed in production the TICKET is closed. What I have given is a small example. You would get some real issues with severity HIGH in your day-day support.

Installation Failure: Windows failed to install the following update with error 0x800F0922

Hi folks,
I have a HP Elitebook Folio 9470p. It came with Windows 8, and I installed it on my corporate domain. I was trying to do some Windows updates so I could upgrade it to Windows 8.1, but it fails installing the updates, whether or not I try
to install them one at a time or all of them. It has about 18 updates it needs from security updates to a .net framework update. I run Symantec EP, and disabled it, checked for driver updates for things like display and networking and they are
all up to date.
I'm at a loss as to what to do. It gives this error in the event log for each file, Event ID 20.
Installation Failure: Windows failed to install the following update with error 0x800F0922: Security Update for Windows 8 for x64-based Systems (KB2862152).
This is the example for KB2862152, but it gives the same error for every one. I've tried to auto fix for Windows update issues and it fixed a couple of the issues, but not all of them, and provides no other help.
I also deleted folders and files from the SoftwareDistribution folder as well, to no avail. Any ideas what I can do to get whatever updates it needs, so I can fully patch it, and upgrade it to Win 8.1?

GOOD NEW ! At this time, my issue is solved. The only black side is "how ?" : I hope that we will get a response some day ; however, and for in information pnly - hoping this could help someone - I resume some actions which allowed this the happy end
1) about installing 8.1 : I wanted to be sure that gain/pain ratio was positive, and that upgrading from a (potentially) damaged system would'nt produce something looking like a new Win 8.1, but difficult to maintain and keeping some negative potentialities.
2) I was influenced by the fact that this
0x800F0922 error acted as "a serial killerror", whose root cause could be a unique update error at reboot time concerning several (>20) packages, so I decided to test some manual upgrades.
3) Manual update (i.e. manual download and maunching of .msu packages) of the 2 following packages
(whose update previously failed on a Windows Update) was successful : .NET Framework version 3.5 for x64 (KB2898866) and Camera Codec Pack Windows 8 for x64 (KB2899190)
4) So I decided to try Windows Update on a selection of packages, first : those concerning .Net Framework 3.5 and 4.5 (that is: KB2898866, 2901120, 2898865) --> Successful !
5) finally, I selected almost all other packages, with some exceptions wich I (think to) have no need for : KB2871690, 2904659, 2843630. To be complete, here is the list of pakages updated one time at all :
KB 2892074, 2893294, 2893984, 2909210, 2912390, 2916036, 2889784,2903938, 2911101, 2913152, 2917499
--> always succesful.
I am not a specialist, but I uess that this 0x800F0922 error hides another problem which is globally "H-RESULTED"
to all updates pending in one update operation with reboot. This could be assumed from this CBS.log exterped from my last wrong attempts, where root cause seems not to be
0x800f0922, but 0x80004003 :

There is one option in Mail Adapter (Receiver) "Send Delivery Status Notification". I think, it will help you to get the status. When you fill the above option, you are required to fill a recipient email id to whom, the status of the email will be emailed. From there, you can get the status. Please dig little more into this.

But i have given the the path of the folder that has all the files in the Forms_Path registry and also in the default.env file. Still i am getting the above error. Any solution for this?.

You are getting this error because the "Referenc.olb" object library (OL) is not in your FORMS_PATH. You can either add the directory where the OL resides to the PATH environment variable or (preferably) you add the directory to the FORMS_PATH in the Windows Registry (assuming you installed Forms on a Windows computer). Modifying the FORMS_PATH is dependent on the version of Forms you installed. For Forms 10g, modify: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE => SOFTWARE => Oracle => KEY_DevSuiteHome10g => FORMS_PATH String Value. For previous versions of Oracle Forms, modify: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE => SOFTWARE=> Oracle => HOME? => FORMS??_PATH (where ? = 0 - 9 depending on the number of Oracle products installed, and where ?? = 60, 90 if you have Forms 6 or Forms 9i installed (FORMS60_PATH or FORMS90_PATH).

You want to copy a single BW System of a system group using a database copy. After the copy, you want to have a functional BW source system connection.
Refer to Note 325525. This helps you to select the correct procedure for your scenario. Also note that there are several ways to carry out the actual copy procedure. This is not covered in this note. Refer instead to the URL http://service.sap.com/solutionmanagerbp.

Reason and Prerequisites
There are three scenarios:
1. You want to install a new BW (referred to below as "target BW") by copying an existing BW (referred to below as "original BW"). That is, you import the copy onto an empty computer.
2. You want to replace an existing BW (henceforth "old BW"), by copying a different BW (henceforth "original BW"). That is, a BW was already installed on the target host (the old BW). We will call the copy of the original BW "target BW". There are two different scenarios here:
a) You are still in the planning phase of this step, that is, you have not yet made the copy.
b) You have already overwritten the old BW with the copy of the other BW.
Solution
You must perform ONLY THE STEPS required for YOUR SCENARIO.
Scenario 1): In 1.2B, create a transport request in the original BW that contains all source system-dependent objects for all R/3 and DataMart source systems. The object types are ISMT, ISTT and ISTS. Note that the ISTS object (the transfer structure) may contain routines that must be transported as separate objects (Object Type ROUT).
As of BW 2. 0A, you are supported by the BW transport link, grouping "Backup for system copy". Select the R/3 and DataMart source systems in the source system filter and collect the source systems using the Drag and Drop function.
If you use type PSADELETE processes, also add these to the transport request.
Scenario 2)a): Create the described transport request in the old BW.
Scenario 2)a): In the old BW, delete all R/3 and DataMart source systems in the Administrator Workbench source system tree.
Scenario 1), 2)a) and 2)b): Import the copy.
Scenario 1), 2)a) and 2)b): In the target BW, change the contents of the "target host" field in all RFC connections (destinations) for R/3 and DataMart source systems (Transaction SM59) to a nonsensical, nonexistent address (such as 'nowhere'). Then, delete ALL R/3 and DataMart source systems in the Administrator Workbench source system tree. Caution: This step deletes all PSA tables of these source systems - the data is lost. A message is generated stating that the source system cannot be accessed (since you deleted the host of the RFC connection). Select "Ignore".
Scenario 2)b): Change to the source systems connected to the old BW and THERE delete the connection (in the source system) to BW. To do this, change to Transaction SE37 - RSAP_BIW_DISCONNECT function module Sngl. test. Parameter I_BIW_LOGSYS = <name of BW>, I_OLTP_LOGSYS = <name of the source system>, I_FORCE_DELETE = 'X'.
Scenario 1): If you want to connect the target BW to one or more source systems that are also connected to the original BW, assign a new logical system name (Table T000) to the target BW. However, we recommend that you follow Note 184447 when designing the system environment.
Scenario 2)a) and 2)b): Assign the same name to the target BW system that was assigned to the old BW system (logical system name, Table T000).
Scenario 1), 2)a) and 2)b): If you have just renamed the BW, execute Transaction BDLS to convert all relevant tables to the new logical system name. To do this, refer to Notes 121163 and 369758.
Scenario 1): Connect the required source systems. (Administrator Workbench - Source systems)
Scenario 2)a) and 2)b): Connect the source systems, that were connected to the old BW. (Administrator Workbench - Source systems)
Scenario 1) and 2)a): Import the request created above. Bear in mind the special CTS features for the source system-dependent objects (system changeability in connected systems; View V_RSLOGSYSMAP).
Scenario 2)b): Recreate the transfer structures/transfer rules and activate them.

Summary
Symptom
You are transporting BW objects that are heavily linked with each other so that several requests are necessary.Objects of a request are using objects which are locked on other requests.
In the target system, errors arise during the method execution of requests with BW objects (return code 8).The messages indicate that objects are required which do not exist in the target system and are also not contained on the request.
For example, you transport an object with attributes, but the attributes are not transported nor are they available in the system.In the log, message R7322 appears: 'Attribute &1 from characteristic &2 not (actively) available'. As a result, an InfoCube cannot be activated if InfoObjects are missing and so forth.

Cause and prerequisites
You collect objects with the transport link of the Administrator Workbench and then write these to a transport request.In the process, all objects which have not yet been transported are marked (development class $TMP). Or you install Business Content and write the installed objects directly to a request.
Objects with a different development class (not $TMP) are also gathered but they are not marked because the system assumes that these have already been transported and are then subject to automatic recording.If you are not sure whether these objects already exist in the target system, you can mark the objects.The system then writes them to the request and transports them (once again).
It could happen that objects that are locked on another request have been collected.You can recognize this by the column "Transport request" in the window with the collected objects (you may have to expand the tree with the collected objects completely). You should always release the requests beforehand, that means prior to the request that is being compiled.
This is because these objects are needed by objects that the system is now collecting, but do not yet reside in the target system or do not yet reside there in their most current version. If you import the request which the system is collecting prior to the other request, then the errors described in the symptom section of this note.
Solution
Proceed as follows if you are using the object collector:
Collect the objects
expand the tree with the collected objects completely
Release all requests that are displayed in the 'transport request' column.
Only then release the request with the objects that are being currently collected.
As of Support Package 16 this approach is simplified even further.In this case, a log with the following messages is displayed after writing the collected objects:
'Objects which are locked on a different transport request' (Message RS0305).If you expand this message, you receive a list of all objects which are locked on other requests.
'Transport requests which must be released first' (Message RS0306).If you expand this message, you receive a clear summary of the requests which must be released before the request currently being compiled.Here the system simply summarizes the requests from the previous list that still contain dependent objects.
Thus, as of Support Package 16 you no longer have to expand the tree completely and search for linked requests.

Adobe Creative Cloud connectivity issue on Websense run network; Failed to send the request to server to get the response - 12002

Hi all,
I am able to install the Windows Adobe Creative Cloud application fine on Windows 7 box but the application fails to establish a connection with Adobe server/-s.
We use a proxy with Websense as our network security solution. Proxy configuration script is set in Internet Options. We have not tried to whitelist anything as per http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/kb/proxy-authentication-support-creative-cloud.html as the errors suggest the application does not even connect to the proxy server/Websense at all.
Please see below snippet from that DLM.log file that contains the error messages - please have a look. Could anybody tell me what it means or advise how to resolve this please? I don't see the Adobe Creative Cloud tool to have any options where manual proxy settings can be setup to try that.

Failed to Install The New Preview Build. Installation Failure: Windows failed to install the following update with error 0x80246007: FBL_AWESOME1501 9926 Professional.

Hello,
I'm having issues upgrading my Windows 10 Technical Preview installation build 9879 to a newer build that's become available late January 23rd.
I am installing the new upgrade in a Hyper-V virtual machine and get the following error:
Failed to install the new preview build, please try again later. 0x80246007
What could be the problem?
Previously I've had messages that Windows cannot be upgraded on a computer with less than 2 Gbyte of RAM. That's a Hyper-V VM with dynamic memory and I was highly surprised to see this error; never had this before. Had to set 2048 Mbytes as a minimum memory
for this VM. Now that I have this 80246007 error code.
When looking up System log, the following error messages are listed multiple times:
Installation Failure: Windows failed to install the following update with error 0x80246007: FBL_AWESOME1501 9926 Professional.
The errors are returned for the Event ID 20 by WindowsUpdateClient
in task category Windows Update Agent..
I reviewed the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\WindowsSelfHost\Applicability
registry key as suggested in Windows
Insider stuck on build 9841 - "No new preview build was found", and here is what it shows:

Note, when attempting to install the downloaded update from a native boot, installation starts with no errors.
However, since setup is not supported for a natively booted VHD files, it does not proceed further showing a message that installation on virtual drives is not supported.
Looks like Setup is having problems installing in a Hyper-V virtual machine.
Possibly, some ESD files got corrupted during downloading? Is it possible to remove them and re-download missing files? (I, however, noticed that Windows seems to re-download upgrade files after you restart 9879 and attempt to check for a new build.
Any clue why installing under VM causes 9926 to fail?

Hi,
According to the error message, this problem seems like update package installation failed during system upgrade.
You can try to remove ESD file which locate at boot of C drive and upgrade the system again for test.
On the other hand, make sure the system 9879 installed all Windows pushed updates before system upgrade.
