Report History

Dear All,
When I've automatic updated an application on a few systems and run an application report, I found out that the new version shows up, but that also the old version is visible.
This make's it hard to find out on which systems I still to install the new version.
I think that there is a setting which makes the old inventory data of a workstation being overwritten with the new information.
But where can I find it?

  • Snapshot Report History and Edit rights

    I have a report that is generating snapshots based on a schedule. I have a user base that have view rights to the library / folder - The only way to allow them to see report history is to give them edit rights..
    this doesn't sound right - I have validated this with other company - out of the box setup.
    I can not have users with edit access to report object -
    Any ideas - thoughts would be much appreciated.

    Hi Bryan,
    As per my understanding, if a user want to see the Report History, he should have View rights. If he want to manage the Report History, he should also have Manage report history rights.
    While if we want to access the report from extranet (other company), we should plan for an extranet deployment for Reporting Services. In your scenario, we can create a custom Internet application which call the report server web services with snapshot features.

  • Use report history reporting services btn option

    hello,
    i'm trying to figure out what the use report history option on the general view of the reporting services button option provides.
    the definition in the help file is "To enable use of the report's history, select this option". i have no idea what this means, so i'm hoping that someone can tell me what this option provides.
    i don't have all of the requirements to test using the reporting services button, so i can't test it's functionality.
    any help would be greatly appreciated

    As per my understanding, you used case when statement in the query, you do not need to display permitsubtype in the report, but when you tried to delete permitsubtype from the query, it could not run correctly. In order to improve the efficiency of troubleshooting,
    I need to ask several questions:
    “I tried deleting the permitsubtype query and it would not run correctly.” As we can see, it has no effect to delete permitsubtype from the query you provided, could you please provide complete sql query for the report?
    Could you please provide detailed information about the report? I would be appreciated it if you could provide sample data and screenshot of the report.
    Please provide some more detailed information of your requirements.
    This may be a lot of information to ask for at one time. However, by collecting this information now, it will help us move more quickly toward a solution.

  • Tcode to find Report History for Reports KE30

    Hi All,
    We have a lot of reports sitting in the system. We want to delete the reports which have not been used by any of the users since 2004 and also the COPA forms that these reports are based off of. Is there any transaction that can give me the history of the use of reports and their forms so I can validate which reports are not run by users since 2004 to delete them.

    OS06 - operting system monitor and click on detailed analysis where you can monitor the various instances
    if do you find the other transaction which will show you load of current program being used by 20 users, please share with the expert communitiy to help to other users.

  • Report history wiped out clean- Crystal Reports Server 2008 V0

    Hi,
    I have a report deployed to CRS 2008 V0 that runs every day. It had hundreds of instances but one fine day this week, the history for that report was wiped clean. I am trying to find out how this could have happened. Any suggestions?

    Since CRS doesn't have auditing you won't be able to track what happened. Do you have a backup of the CMS DB and FRS or BIAR file of the report/instances?

    I've looked throught he SDK documentation and I am unable to determine where that information is stored and how it could be extracted.

    Yes and Yes.  You can get the latest version of Crystal for Visual Studio here:  http://scn.sap.com/docs/DOC-7824.  Download the "Install Executable" for integration into VS - the others are for runtime installs depending on how you install your application.

  • Infoview Crystal Report History Viewing

    Not sure if this is the best forum for this question.
    I am using Crystal Report XI Server and have a report that has been published and scheduled to run everyday. The report has several formulas that make use of built in built functions; LastYearYTD, LastYearMTD, MonthToDate, YearToDate, etc.
    When looking at an historical instance it seems that the data is current, my understanding was that the data would be 'saved' and you would see the data at the point at which the instance was created.
    For example if I look at the instance for 12 Nov, the LastYearYTD figure is up to the current date, the MonthToDate Figure is Zero. It appears that the YearToDate figures are correct.
    If somebody could clarify the situation with regard history items and built in functions it would be appreciated.

    Sorry - if you are using the CRYSTAL REPORTS viewer in InfoView formulas for fields that use LastFullMonth etc are RE-CALCULATED in the viewer based on when you OPEN the report....
    Therefore, when you look at an Instance run on June 1st on June 1st the results are OK, but if you view the June 1st instance on October 1st the LastFullMonth values are ZERO.
    The bad news is that there is no way to get back into the "time machine" and recover those formulas as they appeared on June 1st.
    The good news is that you have some options moving forward.
    1.) Run the INSTANCES to PDF format, so that the formulas are not re-calculated on open in the Viewer.
    2.) Use hand-written formulas in your reports that are based on the DATADATE value (eg. DataDate - 30) instead of the LastFullMonth etc. when the reports open in the Crystal Viewer.

  • Is there table/Report history including timestamp & date for activity type created?

    I have an audit request for activity type that should include Date of creation/change and timestamp for them, but I don´t know if there is a table or report
    that I should run.
    Actually in KP26 in section line item shown the dates but by activity type, I expect to run in mass
    I really appreciate if someone have suggestion or idea how is possible to get information with dates and timestamp

    If not in standard, this can be achieved by customized field in the table. This is called Append Structure and you can add Z table.
    Talk to an ABAP person. He can do it.

  • Report instance history not refreshing

    Here is my issue.  I view the history of a published Crystal report in Central Managment Console.  I then try to view the history of another report and it displays the history of the previous report I viewed.  The only way I can view another reports history is to log out of CMC, clear the browser cache and close the browser.  I then log back and I can view ther history of a different report.  I have played with the browser settings to not avail.  Any ideas?

  • BI Publisher "Report Job" not showing job continously searching

    Hi Experts,
    I'm facing problem while schedule job in Oracle BI Publisher, I successfully schedule job (for bursting) and its running 3 or 4 days continuously, as a result got the report by email but after that I don't get any email, even no error message by email as well. when I go to "Report Job" it showing no data and continuously searching, showing "Fetching Jobs Data....." right top of the page

    Scheduler = Quartz
    Administration>Scheduler Diagnostics
    Result = Passed
    Oracle BI Publisher 11.1.1.6.0

    Ok, you cannot see report scheduler information, report history if scheduler is down or hung.
    1. How many reports are simultaneously scheduled to run?
    2. How do you rate the size of the scheduled reports? Based on number of rows it generates - Small? Medium? or Large?
    Looks like BI Publisher is not able to push jobs into the scheduler queue.
    Please check BIP scheduler database table "QRTZ_FIRED_TRIGGERS" to see any running or pending jobs.
    You will come to the root cause of the issue by setting the BIP log level to trace:32

    3. Clear server cache and scheduler database transaction logs

    I am not able to make my report burst to separate files for ftp delivery. I am running BI Publisher version 10.1.3.4.1 (stand-alone). My data query looks like this:

    What caused our bursting problem:
    We had to put the word "KEY" in quotes (in our bursting query), because KEY is a reserved word in sybase. But putting it in quotes caused a problem - the results of the bursting query did not contain a "KEY" tag.
    . . . And the solution:
    We added the connection property "GET_COLUMN_LABEL_FOR_NAME=true" to our sybase datasource definition. Many thanks to Tim Dexter, and to Paul from the sybase forums (http://newsgroupstats.info/article/forums.sybase.com/sybase.public.jconnect/2308/Column-aliases-not-working.html) c. 2007.

  • Creating snapshot in SSRS 2008 R2 report will disable some parameters.

    Hi guys.
    I'm new to SSRS, so the question that I'm going to ask might sound stupid, hope you guys don't mind.
    I have a few reports that display data based on the snapshot. I found out that some of the parameters on certain reports were disabled and some are not. When I removed the snapshot setting and display the report based on latest data, those disabled parameters
    will be enabled again.
    After some search from Google, I understand that when using snapshot, the parameters will be disabled. But in my case, not all parameters are disabled. And there is some reports with snapshot, all of their parameters are enabled. Please help me on this if
    there is any settings that I need to do to enable all of the parameters.

    According to your description, you want to enable parameters when creating a snapshot. Right?
    In Reporting Services, Snapshots can be created manually or at scheduled intervals for any report that can run unattended. Furthermore, if the report uses parameters, you must specify default values to use when the report runs. You can specify stored credentials
    and parameter values in the property pages for the report.
    In this scenario, you may have default values for parameters in some reports so that it looks those reports have parameters enabled. So if you want to have snapshot rendered with parameter selection, you can specify the default values in Parameter tab. Please
    follow the steps below:
    Open Report Manager, and locate the report for which you want to modify parameter settings.
    Hover over the report, and click the drop-down arrow.
    In the drop-down menu, click Manage. This opens the General properties page for the report.
    Select the Parameters tab. If the Parameters tab is not visible, the report does not contain parameters.

    When you Schedule a web Intelligence e Report, Adaptive Job Server will be responsible to do the task.
    If you go to Report History  you can see the Instance Status and you can find out the Job server Used for that particular instance by clicking on the Status.
