I am wondering if oracle report suppport Spanish. I need write report in Spanish.

You need to set NLS_LANG environment variable to SPANISH_SPAIN.<character_set>. With this, you would be able to display the Spanish characters in Reports output. But with this setting, Reports is going to format the data fetched from Database also with this Spanish character set encoding. In case, data stored in Database is of a character set which is a subset of this Spanish char set, you do not need to worry anything. Reports would be able to display both your static data as well as the data from DB properly.

I am facing a typical issue.the client is looking for trial balance report and GL balance report in Spanish language.the problem is if i change the language key from English to Spanish the entire language will be changed to Spanish is there any way by which without changing the language key in chart of accounts, we can obtain the reports in Spanish language.please help in taking out reports in Spanish from F.01 in Spanish

You have to translate all your financial statement version nodes from English to Spanish to be able to see Spanish texts in F.01. To translate, execute T Code SE63 and choose Translation -> ABAP Objects -> Other Long Texts from the menu. Then expand 'FI FI Balance Sheet/P&L Statement' and double-click on 'FIBS FI Balance Sheet/P&L Statement '. Then change the source language to EN and target language to ES (they are greyed out but you will still be able to pick them from the drop-down menu). Now put the cursor on Object Name field and press F4. You will see the financial statements you have created in OB58. It is a cumbersome task, but you have to drilldown to each node of your FSV and double-click on it and in the following screen you will see the English text on top. In the bottom part of the screen you have to enter the Spanish text.
Once you are done with translation, execute program RS_LXE_RECORD_TORDER and then push your translations into a transport request.

Reports in Spanish Language

Hi All,
I am trying to generate a report after logging in as a user whose languages is defaulted to Spanish,
I am able to run all the reports expect the ones that are based on "Opportunity Product Revenue".I have a few reports both real time and historical which are based on "Opportunity Product Revenue", I get the below error when I run these reports .. has anybody come across this issue ?

Hello!
I opened a TAR for this and Oracle's first suggestion was to verify that a translated value is assigned to the field name in the target language. That solved the issue for some of my reports, but I'm encountering a similar error for other reports and the same fix has not worked. I have a separate TAR open and will post the findings.

10g Report in Spanish

What is THE quick way to generate one RDF report output in Spanish?
Currently the report output is in Standard English.
OS Environment is Red Hat Linux.

To quickly test this on your developer machine in Windows:
1. right-click on "My Computer" and get properties.
2. goto the Advanced tab
3. click the Environment Variables button
4. add a new environment variable called "NLS_LANG" and set it equal to "SPANISH_SPAIN.WE8ISO8859P1"
you can also:

To define the NLS_LANG environment variable on Windows, do the following:
Open the Windows registry.
Note:
Back up your registry before you edit it.
Expand the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE node, then expand the SOFTWARE node.
Expand the Oracle node, then click your OracleAS Reports Services HOME node to display the Oracle environment variables in the right panel of the Registry Editor.
Double-click the NLS_LANG environment variable.
Type the new value for NLS_LANG in the Value data text box.
Click OK.

To define the NLS_LANG environment variable on the UNIX platform, set it in the shell script reports.sh, located in your ORACLE_HOME/bin directory.

Does BEX Report supports Multi Languages????

Does Bex report supports Multi Languages???? I mean, I had developed a report for the client and client wants the report for their different locations globally. Is there any way in BI, so that we can provide the same report into Spanish, French....

Sure. It is supported.
Just a point to be mentioned here.
You have to maintain the laguage desired installed on ABAP side first.
You can chck this on RZ10 - Parameter: zcsa/installed_languages.
Ex: zcsa/installed_languages - ED
it means English and Deutsch
Well, open Query Designer. On Logon screen, select the language desired, like Spanish - ES.
After that, go to each keyfigure and characteristic of the query and on Properties -Description Field (Descripción on spanish),
put the spanish name of the object.
Save the query and test on both languages (original and spanish or french)...
This will solve your issue.

Language Translation in BW3.5

We have a requirement to display user interface/reports in Spanish language. We are working on BW 3.5.
I am trying to set up the translation environment following the link on sdn http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/ad/06dcf4c4be11d291c70000e8a5f6e6/frameset.htm
I have done the setup for Target Language, Translation Client, Translation Graph, Object Types for Translation and Translator Profiles. Next step is to Assign Packages.
As per the steps given in http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/ad/06dcf4c4be11d291c70000e8a5f6e6/frameset.htm:
1. Call up transaction SLWA.
2. Select your target language under the tab title Target language.
3. Choose the tab title Packages.
4. You first need to select the packages that you want to assign to a translator.
5. You can now see the number of packages you have selected under Selection.
6. Choose Assign from the application toolbar.
A dialog box appears containing a list of all the translators that are defined for the target language you have selected.
However at the sixth step, to assign packages for translation, the only options I see are: Lock, Translate, Package Info and Lock globally. I do not see a 'Assign' button as mentioned in the online help.
Does anyone have an idea? I am not able to proceed further without assigning packages. Your help is highly appreciated.

UNABLE TO SET NLS_LANG

Where BI Publisher gets his default NLS_LANGUAGE? BI Publisher language other than english...Lets try to have report in spanish, italian, french ...And also how can i lauch Bi Publisher from command line?

Foreign language in SAP

Forum,
We are trying to print in El Salvador the accounting books. Our accountant has pointed out that when he wants to generate the journal reports he does not have the option to choose "foreign names" like he does when he generates the trial balance.
I am guessing, but would it be possible to change the foreign names and put them as the default names for a weekend (or two) so that we can print these journal daily reports in Spanish? If there is another way please let us know as at present in the General Ledger it's in Spanish but not in the transaction journal report. How can we make the GL accounts show up in Spanish in the Transaction General Report?

How to switch languages on Pages

I've had iWork since the beginning of this year. I've been really satisfied with the way its been working and how easy it is to find anything u need. That is, until I signed up for a spanish class and I need to write a report in spanish. I can't seem to find the language setting on my Pages and I was hoping if someone could point out how to switch languages. can you please help me sort this out.

Inspector > T tab > More > Language > choose language by clicking on the button

Whitespaces getting trimmed in SAP DM docx

Hello SAP experts, I am facing an issue with Disclosure Management 10 and namely I am getting whitespaces randomly trimmed.
For example I get CamelCase instead of Camel Case, this happens after saving changes to DM and reopening for edit. This occurs for both data that is "datalinked" and other parts like Titles and Footers that have no "datalinks". Hope anyone can point out what could be happening.
PS My locale for reports is Spanish by the way in case it's relevant and I attach two images so yo can get a better idea of the issue.

V.26 Report is not working in Spanish

When I logged into Spanish and I tried to Run report V.26 I am not getting any value but when I ran the V.26 report in English I get the many values. In Same client I tried.

And also check the User Profile Language if it is empty that means it is English T-Code SU3--> Under Default Tab Check the Field LogON Language

SPANISH BANK STATEMENT DETAIL REPORT NOT SHOWING TRANSACTIONS

We are having issue where the spanish version of a oracle report(RDF) is not showing some columns on the right side of the report
whereas the english version is showing all the columns.
We have checked the data,lookups and the trace files but they do not show any issue.
Please help.

Otherwise you need to contact the app developer to correct the issue...find their website on the app details or settings or help area while app is open

Crystal Reports 9 - Need to Display Spanish Text

I need to display Spanish text (...accented words, upside down
question marks, tildes' over the 'N's, etc...) in Crystal reports 9.
The text is coming from an Oracle database that has been updated to an
8-bit character string to properly display the text in the database.
But when the text appears in the Crystal report, none of the Spanish
text characterists appear. It just comes out as plain text or displays
a small box where a Spanish character should appear.
How do I make the text appear 'Spanish', accents and all?
I'm a Crystal novice, so please explain your solutions as non-technically as possible.

answer to my own question which I'll share here.
Crystal Reports 9 (...and 10 and 11 as far as I know...) requires a
downloadable patch that allows the report to display unicode characters in
other languages.
The paper explaining this problem can be found at:
