Report Layout Changed After Upgrade from 4.6C to ECC6

Dear Gurus,
I do functional test of every process in ECC6 after upgrade from 4.6C. I found all report layout changed without variant (it's happen to all Query/SQ01 reports ). So I've to assign manually the fields for the reports, and create a default variant then.
Why it happen ? Is there configuration or setting missed or this is standard while we do upgrade ?

    I have upgraded my Oracle database from 8i (8.1.7.3) to 10g (10.2.0.3). After upgraded, there's some SQLs are with performance issue that the response time is very slow. The SQL can run very fast (around 1 seconde) in the pre-upgrade environment. Also, after generating the execution plan, there's different from the original enivronment (8i) which the query using some full table scan instead of index scan originally used in 8i.
    The optimizer_mode of 8i is RULE and it's CHOOSE when upgraded.
    My questions are:
    1. Do I have any init.ora parameters setting in 10g environment which differ from 8i?
    2. What method of analyzing tables is appropriate to use in 10g? Will this affect the performance like my case?

  • The synth pad sound Warm Pad has changed after upgrading from Logic Express 7 to Logic Studio

    Hello!
    I have composed a lot of songs over the years using Logic Express 7, and my favourite synth pad sound there was a sound called Warm Pad (from the EXS24 Sampler).
    A half a year ago I upgraded to Logic Studio, mainly because I needed WaveBurner. Happily, all my songs sounded exactly the same after the upgrade, except from 1 sound: The synth pad sound Warm Pad. It still got the same name and location, but the sound was replaced with a very sharp and much more distinct sound (not warm at all, in my ears at least).
    I have tried to replace it with different synth pad sounds from the EXS24 Sampler, and the one I find to come most close to the old Warm Pad from Logic Express, is a synth pad sound called Pad 1. Still, I don’t think it sound exactly the same.
    So, in order to finish all my songs and make an album, I ask you for help:
    1. Do you know how I can get EXACTLY the same sound as the old Warm Pad Logic Express, with my new Logic Studio?
    2. Have you experienced the same with sounds, after upgrading from one Logic version to a newer one? And what have you done to find back to the old sounds?
    I will be VERY thankful for help, because I am not a genius in the mysterious (but yet exiting) world of synthesizer synthesis.

    I have the boxed version of logic studio.
    When you install, if you pick the "ad hoc" installation you can add the logic7 patches to your existing patches.
    I think running installation again you should be able to install just that.

  • Performance problem for mass transactions after upgrade from 4.7 to ECC6.0

    Hi All,
    After upgrade from 4.7 to ECC 6.0 (IS-U), mass transactions such as FPY1, FPVA, FP04M are taking very long time to complete. for example, before upgrade the jobs sceduled for FPVA transaction take around 5k-6k seconds. Whereas after upgrade the jobs for FPVA with the same variant takes around 9k-10k seconds. I am unable to figure out the cause for exponential increase in the duration of several mass-jobs (after the upgrade). Are there any SAP notes or do we need to do any customizing setting to solve this problem? Does anyone face this kind of problem?

    Hi,
    This is normal after upgrade to 6.0, I have faced the same in all upgrades I've done and some others that I have involved also. If you did not requests and going live upgrade check I strongly recomend to schedule an Early Watch Check to minimize the impact. Times won´t be the same but can be very close if the system is tuned well. We have tuned systems that now run with good performance after this services.

  • Invoice Receipt Warning Message Appear After Upgrade from 4.6C to ECC6

    Hi Gurus,
    We do upgrade from 4.6C to ECC6. And we do Invoice Verification base on Delivery (Vendor delivery number), in our business process there more than one Purchase Order has same Vendor Delivery Number while GR executed. But only one Purchase order related to Invoice verification, others PO are Free PO (no need Invoice Verification).
    The problem is:
    In SAP 4.6C, while execute Invoice base on Delivery (Vendor delivery), system automatic select only PO with Delivery (vendor) which related/allow invoice receipt.
    In SAP ECC6, while execute Invoice base on Delivery (vendor delivery), all PO selected. So than there are warning messages appear (warning pop screen) for those PO not allow invoice Receipt (message M8035: PO item XXXXX does not allow invoice receipt), and at the end PO which allow Invoice receipt then appear for further Invoice Receipt process.
    At overall, the final result SAP 4.6C and SAP ECC6 is same (only PO which allowed Invoice Receipt will processed further).
    The Question are:
    1. Why in ECC6 appear warning message, while in 4.6C no warning message ? Is there config to ignoring the warning message. I've try to maintain system message for M8035 (t-code: OMRM) to ignoring the pop screen, but can not created.
    2. How do we make warning message dissapear (no need warning message), because if the PO's has hundred items so user need to click enter hundred times.

    could you please check whether the flag "GR-based IV" is set in the purchase orders?
    If GR based-IV is ticked, then this pop-up cannot be suppressed.
    If you would like to post the invoice first then GR-based IV should not be checked, otherwise this pop-up will always appear.  I am afraid that this behaviour is standard. 
    Please, be aware that this feature is only available if you set  in the Purchase Order item the 'GR-based IV' indicator:
       If the GR-IV flag is not set in the PO, then the system does not                     
       differentiate individual goods receipts. Please see the <f1> help                    
       for the field "GR-IV" in the PO item detail. Since the individual                    
       receipts are not differentiated, an invoice is not tied per se to                    
       an individual receipt and a goods receipt can be reversed despite                    
       an invoice receipt.                                                                               
    With the GR-IV flag set on in a PO, you can specify which goods                      
       receipt is being invoiced in an IR and which goods receipt is being                  
       reversed in a return. It is this correlation between goods receipts                  
       and invoices that enables you to specify for GR-IV PO's whether an                   
       item can be returned despite an invoice.

  • SQ01 query layouts has been changed after upgrade from 4.6c to ECC

    Hi All,
    If any one come across the following situation please provide the solution as soon as posssible.
    When you execute the query the results are not displayed as fields are not copied under display column,not sorted,not filtered becos of this the query results are not displayed. Is there any solution are setting that need to be done so that the layouts fields are copied,sorted and filtered as they were before upgrade. I have checked all the query variants and they are imported correctly to ECC from 4.6c,there is problem only with the display.
    Is the query layout changes due to upgrade?

  • Lost XL reporter (.rcr) files after upgrade from B! 2005 to 2007 PL 47

    I have a user that says he has lost all of his XL reporter reports that he created since his upgrade of B1 from 2005 to 2007.  Has anyone had this issue?  Where are these reports stored?  Any ideas how to recover these reports?

    XL Reports are actually stored in the individual company databases on which they are created, even if you uninstall the XLReporter addon, the reports will not be lost. XL Reports shouldn't also be deleted after an upgrade from 2005 to 2007 or from a patch to another. Thus far, I hadn't experienced any loss of XL Reports from upgrades.

  • Error in Auto Generated Reports after upgradation from 4.5B to ECC6

    Hi All,
    We are currently upgraded the system from 4.5B to ECC6.
    We are having many reports with report names such as
    'GP0HRYGE9KG1RM5HN4WY9MXC9E4'
    'GP0IZ026BMC4SX5K8BISNZ00FSV' with few syntax errors in it.
    Can any one suggest whether these are any auto generared reports , as the report starts from 'GP *'.
    If so, please suggest how to regenerate the same.

  • Report writer issue during upgrade from 4.6 to ecc6

    On generating report of report writer through GR5G (we are regenerating because we were getting dump for this report after up gradation from 4.6c to ecc6)we found one syntax error. The error is in auto generated program we can see that error but cant fix it as it needs a key and maybe that might not also be the right method to resolve is as auto generated codes should not be touched . So what would I like to ask  is how can error come in auto generated program and how do I fix it (error is in data declaration QUOTDATE_MAX(08)                       TYPE C VALUE '). Here u can see that instead of ‘’ only ‘ is used there is no closing inverted comma.

    You  need to make sure that all your delta queues are empty before the upgrade.
    In case of logistics make sure all v3 jobs are stopped and extract queues are empty.
    After the upgrade make sure that the source systems are mapped and working correctly. Check that your delta queues are conneted to the correct BW system.
    You need to test all your extractors as they might have changed (check release notes). Test delta loads to make sure they are working properly.

    After upgrade F4 help is not working for some date fields.
    For example its working in MB11,Its not working in va01,vf01 like that.
    In abap side we checked ...not able to find any issues in coding level, because its a standard SAP code.
    So if any solution is there to correct this issue.Kindly help me to resolve this asap.

  • ABAP Code Changes During Upgrade from 4.7C to ECC6

    Hi all,
    I'm in process of collecting information for our next upgrade.
    We are on 4.7C and are planning to upgrade to ECC6. We wanted to know what changes shall be required on ABAP side during this upgrade. e.g. certain ABAP commands which are obselete, few tables , few fucntional modules being obselete.
    Any specific functional areas/transcation codes being obselete which in turn would make Uer Exit redudant etc.....
    Could somebody please help me out with some info regarding this upgrade? Some links or any hint you can give would help me a lot. (Whether technical or functional..all very welcome!).

    login as user SAP<SID> in the oracle database .
    SQL> drop tabel <tablename>;
    Restart the upgrade from PARMVNT_SHD phase.

  • Report printing issue after upgrading from LV 8.2 to LV 2009

    Hello,
    I am upgrading an application from LabView 8.2 to LabView 2009. It uses the Report Generation Toolkit to create reports based on Word templates. The reports are pretty complicated, with a lot of bookmarks, tables, and graphs, but only one page long.
    The reports are generated correctly. However when sent to printing (using Print report.vi), the printer goes into spooling status and if you are patient enough you may get the report after at least 7 minutes. I tried changing the printer setting to "Print directly to the printer", as per an old KnowledgeBase article. No luck. I have installed a local printer. No luck again.
    If I close the LabView application while the printer is shown in spooling status, the report prints right away, every time.
    Never had this issue in LabView 8.2. On that machine I had Office XP. Now I have Office 2007...
    I do not get any error whatsoever, and I cannot figure out where the solution may be.
    I have one single report that prints right away every time I try. Coincidence or not, this is the only one that has no tables to print. It has graph though and plenty of bookmarks.
    I have exhausted all the ideas on how to deal with this situation, and I must find a solution ASAP. Any suggestion would be greatly appreciated.

    Not sure how I can use it to narrow down the problem though. I ran it, and I see that the printers are correctly identified, the default one is correctly found, however absolutely nothing is being printed out (I typed a text in the string control, and the Print control was on).
    Everything runs with no errors. I would prefer to see a bunch of errors ...

  • Accessing wwv_flow_files changed after upgrading from 2.0 to 2.2

    We have recently moved to 2.2 After the move uploading files, under some circumstances, failed.
    Further investigation found that the upload was working fine, accessing wwv_flow_files table had changed in some way.
    From the SQL Workshop we could see the files which had been uploaded. From SQL*Plus we couldn't see the same files.
    I have read Re: Lost permissions on WWV_FLOW_FILE_OBJECTS$ and see at the end it says that access to wwv_flow_files is not supported from SQL*Plus. That's fine.
    The problem we have is that the same limit seems to apply to functions called from within an APEX application. We have a function that at one point issues the following SQL -
    SELECT blob_content
    INTO l_blob
    FROM wwv_flow_files
    WHERE name = p_file_name;
    (The function goes on to extract rows from the uploaded file to be uploaded into a table).
    This function was not able to find the row which we knew was in the table.
    Drilling down wwv_flow_files is a view of wwv_flow_file_objects$ with the following condition 'where security_group_id = wwv_flow.get_sgid'
    By changing the original SQL to
    SELECT blob_content
    INTO l_blob
    FROM WWV_FLOW_FILE_OBJECTS$
    WHERE name = p_file_name
    AND created_by = 'HTMLDB_PUBLIC_USER';
    we get what we want.
    My question is .. as the function is called from with an APEX application, why is the where clause preventing it from accessing the data we need.

    The function extracts the rows from the uploaded file and displays them in a textarea.When you say "and displays them in a textarea" it sounds like something that happens during page rendering. But I think maybe your page selects the rows in an after-submit process and puts some content into a textarea item for display during the next page "show". Tell me if I'm on the right track. In 2.2, there's a bug that prevents queries from seeing the just-uploaded "files" or rows until after computations have fired. You need to move any code that selects those rows to a process "after computations and validations" (you could run it as a validation if you really needed to). Let me know if you think this explains what you're seeing. This is fixed, by the way, in 3.0.
    The created_by = 'HTMLDB_PUBLIC_USER' clause is required as the >>WWV_FLOW_FILE_OBJECTS$ table also contains objects created by other users, for >>example ADMIN (eg APP imports etc)But your predicate specifies "where name=" and name has a unique constraint so you'll get the row you want without specifying created_by.

    1) I have created new dashboard and placed this report in new dashboard the navigation works fine.
    2) I have created new report and placed that report in old dashboard it doesn't work
    why is it so I undertand that there is problem with Dashboard and not with report but I am unable to figure it out
