Report Layout Problems

Hi
I've got a report that I can never get it to print properly in A4.
The report is an A4 letter. The last line of text cannot be printed at the bottom of the page. As long as I move it down a little bit at design time, when run it the line of text jumps to the next page.
My other problem is that a report printing in LANDSCAPE, that I can never utilize the entire space on the page. It prints only about 70% of a page, wasting 30% space on the right.
Can anyone help please?
BTW, I am using Reports 10g (9.0.4).
TIA
Hien

To view the paper size, click on a section (Header/Main/Margin) in the Object Navigator, and view the Width and Height in the Property Inspector.
To view the size of the margin, go to the Report Editor, and click on the Edit Margin button.

  • Asset report layout problem (S_ALR_87015066, S_ALR_87015065 )

    Hi SAP Gurus,
    I have a problem with Standard Asset reports S_ALR_87015066, S_ALR_87015065 in saving the layout. I need to save a layout and executed at all times to the user.
    Please let me know is there any config settings to do this.
    Thanks in Advance...
    Best Regards,
    Chandra.

    Hi
    I got the solution and found this configuration in SPRO.
    SPRO>IMG>Project systems>Information systems> technical report projects --> define profiles in displayed fields.
    Add the desired fields from the pop up and transport it.
    In IMG, WBS elements overview, in the pop up some of the fields are not displayed such as created by,capital code and RISK.
    But it is displayed in the PS-wbs element overview (s_alr_87015066) report pop up( try to add after executing report).
    Does anyone faced similar situation or any one have thoughts on this.
    Thanks in Advance..

  • Financial report layout problem

    Hi ALL,
    I have a financial report definition, which has 5 levels. Every level I have to show a total row, which is constructed by former total rows
    plus some new rows. I tried to use new Pivot functionality to construct this report ,
    but the problem is that in one column you cannot delete total rows selectively from the table, so you will have total rows for the single new rows also. This causes that you will have too much total rows, duplicate total rows at the highest levels.
    There is an example in the document "oracle-bi-ee-new-features-10gr3.pdf" about financial layout. It shows a correct Pivot report, it looks fine. But I cannot reconstruct this report.
    Can you tell me how they could delete in this example duplicated "Total Fixed Assets" and duplicated "Total Investments" rows which must have been there before?
    Thank you,

    I don't think so, but you could just put the dimension inside of the report, merely for the purpose of the end-user being able to see the actual dimension name.
    Thanks,
    James

  • SAP 8.8 Crystal Report Layout problem in client workstation

    Hi Experts,
    We have import crystal report to SAP Business One as Form Layout or AP Invoice. We have already created the token DocKey@ so it would automatically be printed and will not ask for the document number. The layout works fine using the server workstation but in the client workstation we cannot proceed with the printing because when we click on the preview button, a login window appears with this details:
    Database Login
    Server Name : gray out or not active
    Database: gray out or not active
    Login ID: active
    Password: active
    We tried to enter the SQL login but fails.
    Is there any components that we need to install in the workstation before it could function the same way as PLD?
    Thanks,
    Janice

    You can try creating the ODBC connection, which is the same as on the server.
    Assuming this is the scenario:
    1. You write the invoice using crystal report on the server
    2. On the server, Control Panel--> ODBC, you have created an ODBC link eg; SAPB1.
    3. The report is connecting to ODBC link and pointing to database OECUS
    On the client workstation, you need to create:
    1. Control Panel--> ODBC, you need to create an ODBC link as on the server.

  • Report Layout Problems - point over a letter - subscript words

    Hi,
    is there a possibility to get a point over a letter in the report mode?
    i need that as a description for a heat flow Q. but it didn't found a way to get that point over the Q. is there an easy way to get that?
    another problem is that i need to subscript letters. in the curve and axis description i get that with "Q^tSp^n_KM" but if i insert an Textfield it won't work in the textfield. can you tell me how i get that in textfields?
    Regards Normann

    Hi Normann,
    maybe the following workaround will help you, too: I have once had a request for ancient chemical symbols to be inserted into a DIAdem report programmatically. The solution was to use a true-type font (.TTF) with the necessary symbols. The symbols were represented through the regular letters, like an "O" for oxygen, "S" for sulphur, ..., which could easily be typed.
    With a TTF editor (e.g. FontForge is freeware), you could create the dotted Q (dQdt) or the subscripted quantities as new letters and use these in REPORT.

  • Crystal reports - layout problem

    Hi
    I imported one a the layouts in the .b1p package file (sales quotation) and proceeded to edit the layout according to the customer's requirements. Everything went well until I tried adding the OITM table (not included in the available tables in the report) via the database expert. When you add the table it has a myriad of links and the layout does not work anymore. Even if you delete all the links, and only link it to QUT1 on ItemCode, it still doesn't work. Even if you remove the table the layout remain defective.
    I then have to delete the report in the Report and Layout manager and re-import my saved version.
    Even just opening the database expert and closing it without doing anything, I get this message "More than one datasource or a stored procedure has been used in this report. Please make sure that no sql expression is added and no server-side group by is performed".
    Any ideas please?
    Regards
    Danie

    In the layout designer under either report options or options (under file menu) there is a "Use Smart linking" . Turn this off as this is why the links create themselves. It will link all your tables incorrectly.
    Once you have the option turned off, then add your new table & make the joins yourself.

  • Reports layout Problem

    We developed some reports in Oracle reports 2.5 and our
    operating system was Windows 98. Now we got the windows 2000. We
    installed the Reports 2.5 and reports 6i.
    Now when we opened the reports in reports 2.5, in the layout we
    say funny symbols, we fixed that by choosing the fonts, but
    still we can not see the frames and repeating frame boarders.
    I hope someone will be able to give some suggestions about it.

    hello,
    fact is, that reports 2.5 is was NOT supported with windows2000.
    so if you need to migrate to windows 2000 you will need to
    migrate to another version of reports as well. reports 6i
    release 2 is the first officially supported version with
    windows200 you might check if a current patchset of developer
    1.6.1 ( if that's the source of your reports 2.5) might solves
    the windows2000 support level.

  • Problem with Report Layout

    Please help me.......
    I had created a new form (Copy of Sales-> A/R Invoice, loaded from XML file).
    The problem comes, when I tried to see (Print Preview) the Report Layout for the Corresponding A/R Invoice form.
    The Layout Designer button is not showing its functionality on Clicking. Also the Print Preview button is in disabled condition. So I cant set the Report Layout and also cant see the Report (Preview) .
    So is there any solution for this problem.

    Hi,
    For the user defined forms the PLD functionality is not avaliable, instead u can design and use Crystal reports.

    Hi,
    Thanks for the reply. I have created following report definition.
    SELECT Call_Type.EnterpriseName, Call_Type.Description AS DNIS, Call_Type_Interval.CallTypeID,
    SUM(Call_Type_Interval.ServiceLevelCallsOffered) AS CallsOffered,
    SUM(Call_Type_Interval.CallsAnswered) AS CallsAnswered,

    SUM(Call_Type_Interval.ServiceLevelAband) AS ServiceLevelAband,
    SUM(Call_Type_Interval.ShortCalls) AS ShortCalls,
    SUM(Call_Type_Interval.CallDelayAbandTime) AS CallDelayAbandTime,
    SUM(Call_Type_Interval.AnswerWaitTime) AS AnswerWaitTime,
    SUM(Call_Type_Interval.AnsInterval1) AS AnsInterval1,
    SUM(Call_Type_Interval.AnsInterval2) AS AnsInterval2,
    SUM(Call_Type_Interval.AnsInterval3) AS AnsInterval3,
    SUM(Call_Type_Interval.AnsInterval4) AS AnsInterval4,
    SUM(Call_Type_Interval.AnsInterval5) AS AnsInterval5,
    SUM(Call_Type_Interval.AnsInterval6) AS AnsInterval6,
    SUM(Call_Type_Interval.AnsInterval7) AS AnsInterval7,

    SUM(Call_Type_Interval.AnsInterval9) AS AnsInterval9,
    SUM(Call_Type_Interval.AnsInterval10) AS AnsInterval10
    FROM
    Call_Type (nolock),
    Call_Type_Interval (nolock)
    WHERE Call_Type.CallTypeID = Call_Type_Interval.CallTypeID
    AND Call_Type.CallTypeID in (:calltype_list)
    AND Call_Type_Interval.DateTime >= :start_date
    AND Call_Type_Interval.DateTime <= :end_date
    GROUP BY Call_Type.EnterpriseName,
    Call_Type.Description,
    Call_Type_Interval.CallTypeID
    For this definition i wanted to create a customized report which is apparently not possible.

  • Problem Exporting Report Layout

    Hi,
    I have an application that contains many report layouts. In the development environment it works fine. But, I have exported the application (.sql file) and imported into the production environment and when I try to run the report the application can´t find the page and the report doesn´t run.
    Anybody can help me ?

  • Custom Report Layout with mutliple child tables

    I am trying to create a custom report layout (using Bi Publisher) where I have parent data (multiple jobs on a page) and several child tables for each job (JobDays and JobStops) and several child tables for JobDays (JobDayProviders, JobDayCrew). On the apex screen, I have a join on Jobs and JobDays and I am using functions to string each child row value for JobDayProviders and JobDayCrew together and putting a <br> in between so that they will format on separate lines within a cell. It works fine on the screen but when trying to print to pdf, it ignores these line breaks. I have also tried using <br></br> (saw an article that said just use HTML in bi pulisher) which puts two lines in between each value on the screen and is still ignored on the pdf.
    for example:
    Table hierarchy:
    Jobs table
    Job Stops
    Job Days
    Job Day Service Providers
    Job Day Crew
    Report Layout per job (will have mutlipe jobs to print, just printing 1 day per job):
    Jobs.col1 JobStops.row1 JobDay.col1 JobDayProviders.row1 JobDayCrew.r1
    JobStops.row2 JobDayProviders.row2 JobDayCrew.r2
    JobDayProviders.row3
    Thanks,
    Linda
    First, is there a way to get bi publisher to recognize the line breaks? If not, what is the best way to create a custom report for this scenario? I tried to create a report query with mutliple queries, but cannot determine how to link the child queries to the paren query. I have seen an example where a button is pressed to print one parent row and the id of that row is saved and referenced as a parameter in each of the queries, but if printing mutliple parents on a report, how would I link the child queries to the parent query?

    Helen,
    The best way for your case is to use a content folder and customize it whichever way you like.
    however, your question is about reports. the problem in reports is this that you have to use just one single query and the layout of the results of this query are displayed in a peculiar way.
    anyway. something similar but not exactly the same as what you wanted do is the following.
    use a query like the following: (with a union in between)
    SELECT COLUMN1,NULL , NULL ,NULL ,NULL
    FROM my_source_table
    WHERE myCriteria LIKE 'SoAndSo%'
    UNION
    SELECT NULL,COLUMN2 , COLUMN3, COLUMN4, COLUMN5
    FROM my_source_table
    WHERE myCriteria LIKE 'SoAndSo%'
    ---------- Now, have the following codes in the layout segments:
    <!--- header --->
    <table border="0" cellpadding="1" cellspacing="1" width="20%" align="center">
    <!--- body --->
    <tr align="center">
    <td><table border="0" cellpadding="1" cellspacing="0" width="30%" align="center">
    <tr align="center">
    <TH><#COLUMN1.FIELD#></TH>
    </tr>
    </table>
    </td>
    <TD class="report_cell" ALIGN="LEFT"><#COLUMN2.FIELD#></TD>
    <TD class="report_cell" ALIGN="LEFT"><#COLUMN3.FIELD#></TD>
    <TD class="report_cell" ALIGN="LEFT"><#COLUMN4.FIELD#></TD>
    <TD class="report_cell" ALIGN="LEFT"><#COLUMN5.FIELD#></TD>
    </tr>
    <!--- footer --->
    <TR><TD></TD></TR>
    this should produce a report with a table structure (you may see the whole if you give BORDER="1" in the main table tag). Within this table, the first column of the first row should be showing top-leftmost column value once (COLUMN1 value) and then the next rows would show last four column values as a table block on the right-bottom part.
    with kind regards,
    naqvi

  • Purchase Order Crystal Report Layout Error

    Details: errorKind
    I looked in the Crystal Reports Formula fields and could not find N_Decimal_Places.
    Has any one else had the problem with the PO layout that comes with Business One?  If so, how did you fix it?

    Couldn't find how to copy the PO layout over using copy express.
    I did compare the RDOC fields for POR20002 in both databases and they are Identical.
    In Crystal Reports, I did a formula search for N_Decimal_Places and it found nothing.  Then I did a search for 'length' in all formulas and it finds length in N_Decimal_Places.  When I double click on N_Decimal_Places it clears the screen and never shows the formula. This happens in both layouts for my test database and SBODemoUS.
    Again, SBODemoUS works correctly and AAA_TEST give the error.
