Report Manager - ER 8530306: NEED USER TO VALUE SECURITY FOR PT EXPANSI

We are facing the above same gap in implementing report manager. I think it's one of the most common things that reports are run for parent segment GL values to have consolidated reporting in any large organisations. Hence PT(Page/Total) is required in the content set. Yet current Oracle Report Manager security works only when PE (Page/Expand) is used. As a result of this bug, security rule does not work in parent ledgers and it only works with child ledgers.
I was wondering if enabling custom security rule (as per the note 333304.1, How to Apply Custom PL/SQL Based Security with Oracle Report Manager) could resolve the above bug? Thanks.

Extract from Enhancement Request 8530306 Posting the contents of MOS Docs/ER violates Oracle support agreement policy so please edit the contents of the ER and mentioning the number should be enough.
I was wondering if enabling custom security rule (as per the note 333304.1, How to Apply Custom PL/SQL Based Security with Oracle Report Manager) could resolve the above bug? Thanks.I have not tried this myself but I would suggest you do in a test instance and see if it works for you, or you could log a SR and confirm this with Oracle Support.

Need to mark value zero for repairable materials goods movements

Hello Masters,
The scenario is like below:
Materials reach perticular storage locations and goods movement happens with 101K or 102K. For materials of type repairable or non-repairable, we need to make value zero for above movemeny types in process of MIGO.
I feel that there is a work on config or a work on BADI's.
Please suggest feasible solutions ASAP as my business needs these to be in place soon.

Dont know what *Satellite L645-xxx* you have exactly but such series was released for USA market too: for example +Satellite L645-S4102+
Therefore the manual could be downloaded also from Toshiba US support page; of course it depends on model you have.

Need to do the security for "release" pre-approved batches

We need to control the finance users just for entering pre-approved batches and submitting only (not allowed for release) and then the finance manager will "release" the same batches and do the distribute costs.
Can any expert help me, if any posibility to do this? (11.5.10.2 projects)

Hi,
Exclude the below Function from the Users' Responsibilities and also remove the REVIEW Menu because User can Release the Batches from this Menu as well. If the Users need to search the Batch for review then they can search using ENTER Menu.

Need you help for one requirement , in which i need to provide a list of users with ACL permission of each report from KM. There is huge amount of reports so it is quite time consuming to get each report open & to check the ACL and user from KM.

I misunderstood your query,if you just want to check the permission of all reports then you can use the default permission report available in the content Administration->KM Content->toolbox->reports->permission report.

Need User Name and Password for External Firewire new hard drive

In the past, I've worked with two 250 GB PATA drives in my G4, one inside and one in an external Firewire enclosure. I used Carbon Copy Cloner to copy and maintain all system and user files from the internal drive to the external drive. The external drive would boot just fine. These two drives were both partitioned with 74.5 and 158.4 GB partitions with the system files on the smaller.
The internal drive died so I bought a new 500GB drive and installed it in the external enclosure and moved the former external drive inside the G4.
I again used CCC to copy the system and user files to the new 500GB drive.However, I only gave it one 465.8GB partition. I cannot make the external drive complete the boot process. It stops and demands a user name and a password. I've not been able to supply ones which work.
I have remembered and entered the user name and password which were installed when I partitioned the 250 GB drives years ago. The window thinks a few seconds and then shakes back and forth and then clears the data entry boxes so that I can try again.
I do have an Install DVD for Tiger 10.4 (bought from Apple) and have been able to use that to go back and change the root or administrator password and the User password on the computer. That has not solved my problem.
I have read about 25 pages of this forum and not seen any posts that referred to password problems with only the external hard drive. But I've seen some very knowledgeable answers to other people's posts.

Generally, when Mac OS X is asking you for a username and password, it is when you are doing something that requires an Administrator password, such as repairing a hard drive's Directory or making major changes to quasi-System things.
So Carbon Copy Cloner and Disk Utility are likely asking for an Administrator user_id and password. It will not take a simple carriage return as an answer -- the operation will not complete without that Admin authorization.
If you are among the \[estimated five or six] people who actually read the manual and followed the advice to use a non-admin password for your day-to-day computer work, you may not even remember the Admin username and password.
If you have an Installer CD, you can boot to the Installer CD and choose Reset Password off the Installer menu (10.3 and earlier) or the Utilities menu (10.4 and later). There is also an Installer-compatible version of Disk Utility there, and while booted from the CD is an ideal Time to Repair your main Hard Drive, while it is not being used for booting the System.
