Yes it is possible to call report using SUBMIT statement from one of the method defined in COMPONENTCONTROLLER's method tab.
Once you define the method with SUBMIT statement then call that method with proper event.
Rest configuration will remain same for ABAP webdynpro.

Unable to log into the user management administration web console

Can someone tell how resolve my ablity to log into the user management administration web console? I can't log into SAP Netweaver Admin, User managment, and Webdynpro content Administrator and Web Dynpro Consol. But able active j2ee engine sample? I had this problem also. For me it worked to log on to the SLD and then I was able to log on to the other applications like Useradmin and NWA.
The SLD is usually available at <a href="http://localhost:50000/sld">http://localhost:50000/sld</a>.

Financial reporting docs from web analysis

I need to open some Financial Reporting documents from within aweb analysis page. I put into this page a label, with something like this as text: <a style="visited:#660000"href="http://scilla:19000/workspace/browse/get/Reports/Rete%20Commerciale/stat_generale_produttore_vista1/">Produttoretotale</ The FR document is obviosly stat_generale_produttore_vista1; itopens regularly as HTML preview, but in the toolbar there is nobutton to have a PDF preview, nor I have the possibility to printit in PDF format; if I open it from the explorer, the whole PDFstuff is regularly there. How can I have PDF enabled also when passing through a web analysisdocument?

For creating a WebAnalysis database connection, please make sure you do the following :
1. Verify if you have Essbase client installed on the WebAnalysis server.
2. Check if the path of adm drivers are mentioned in the system environment variable -> PATH entries.
3. Try giving the Essbase server name instead of the cluster name when attempting to create a connection.
4. The error 1003 means it doesnt seem to create a connection with the server and while attempting it fails.
Make sure you have all the parameters mentioned correctly in the server details.
To get detailed information on what is causing the problem, make sure you stop the WebAnalysis service and start it from console .

Empty report returned from WEBI and Crystal report when using external hier

WEBI and Crystal report build from BEX query returned empty report when we used external hierarchy 0PROFIT_CTR. In BEX we don't have any problems with it.
No authority check is perfomed on the hierarchy when we start the report in WEBI/Crystal. Only check on the hierarchy is performed when the root authorization is assigned to the user

SCO permissions to access runbooks remotely from web console

Hi. I have single server SCO 2012 R2 deployment.
I need to give some users access to the runbooks (to execute them) via the web console. So I've created a group in AD, made the users members of this group and configured the folder permissions in Runbook Designer (Read permissions on the top-level folder
"Runbooks" and also added the "Publish" permission on selected folders which contain runbooks that I want members of the specified group to be able to execute).
However, when a user that is member of the group accesses the web console (http://<server>:82) remotely, he receives the following error:
"Error executing the current operation. [Arg_SecurityException] Arguments: Debugging resource strings are unavailable ...."
I've added the server to Local intranet zone in IE, used the "TRUNCATE TABLE [Microsoft.SystemCenter.Orchestrator.Internal].AuthorizationCache" T-SQL command suggested elsewhere (however if I understand the information correctly, this command is
obsolete in SP1/R2), waited 20 minutes (which should be the interval for updating the authorization info in DB), none of that helped.
I should note that I get the same error even for the admin user who installed SCO and therefore has implicit Full permissions on SCO (it is a domain admin account). This user can, however, run the web console locally from the SCO server and that works fine.
The problem is with remote access.
Can anyone help?
Edit: Also the limited user that was given explicit permissions can access web console when running it locally from the SCO server. So the problem is only with remote access. Are there any other ports that need to be accessible beside TCP 82? (by default
SCO also opens TCP 80 and 443 on the firewall).

if there are no changes in Orchestrator R2:
By default the Orchestrator Webservice (which is accessed via the silverlight console) is listening on TCP port 81.

There is a major change of inclusion of CRM ITSM in solman 7.1 that is why you might be confused.
Anyway let me explain
enter the tcode solman_workcenter in solman choose the incident management tab
now on the left side you can see an action for Create support message
thus clicking on it will open the browser for posting messages
(the same can be shared with end user for message posting )
further once posted it is accessible in this incident management tab for further processing and you get the status wise queries in overview.

Taking control with Remote Desktop Services Manager from workstation console

When I run Remote Desktop from the console of my computer Windows 7 I get a message saying that if I run this tool from the console some options are disabled as Remote Control and Connect.
Is there any way to enable these possibilities from the console?

No, there is no way to enable them for use from the console. These features
require that you be within a Remote Desktop session in order to use them. For RDP 8.0/8.1 sessions the situation is different in that you can now perform a shadow (Remote Control) by launching mstsc.exe with
command line switches even from the console.

I have created a Webi report and Crystal report (2008) both have the same prompts.now i want to create a Hyperlink in Webi to link the Crystal report.
i am able to do this. however the crystal report is again asking to provide the prompts which i already given in Webi.which should not happen.
So how to achieve this scenario in Webi.

How to implement irregular schedule of Reports CGI from Web?

I use Reports6i and schedule Reports with rwcgi60.exe.I want to
schedule the same report at a irregular periodic at date 3,13,23
of each month.I cant schedule the report every other 10
days,because usually it isn't 10 days from 23 of last month to 3
of this month.I have tried the package srw.run_report(),but i
dont know exactly.Anybody can help me?

SCOM 2012r2 Favorite Report could not be shown on web console internal error 500

Please HELP!!!
My lab settings:
SCOM1, SCOM2, SQL1
Both SCOM servers were installed on 2012r2 Server and SCOM 2012 r2 Rollup3 with Web Console enabled.
Report server installed on SQL1, MSSQL2012 with Report service, All role are installed on different servers.
All servers are in the same domain
ISSUE:
I cannot run report from Favorite Report from Web Console using other non-domain computer. I got the error "500 internal server error" after run the report.
I got this message after enable error detail report after run report from Web.

Do you mean that when you run report from Web console using domain joined computer everything works fine?
If so, then the issue seems like IIS authentication related issue, we may need check below settings:
Check the binding order in IIS where the web console is installed and make sure http is on top.
Check the advanced settings on Internet Explorer. Look for the Windows integrated authentication setting and compare this setting with the management server.

How to cancel a report from web?

i want to cancel some reports i have made from web.
i have made two kinds of reports,one from web using /cgi-
bin/rwcgi60.exe?runrep... and another from DOS command line
using rwcli60.exe.Then i use /cgi-bin/rwcgi60.exe/showjobs?
server=myreportserver and the web shows all the report jobs.
i can kill report jobs from the web while clicking on the
coloum 'job status',but i can't cancel all the jobs.that is to
say i can cancel the jobs made from rwcgi60.exe?runrep... and
cant cancel the jobs made from Dos because i have no privileges
and the two kinds of reports belong to different owners.
i can cancel them all from report queue manager using
ADMINISTRATOR,but i must made the two kinds of report from web
and dos and must cancel them all from web.
anybody can help me how to solve the problem?
another question:can i assign the report's owner to a special
personal while using rwcgi.exe and rwcli60.exe?

Windows 8 and IE 10 crashed after printing from Report Manager SQL server 2008 / 2008 R2

We have a problem with Windows 8 in combination with IE 10 and printing reports.
When we print a report from the Report Manager 'http://<servername>/reports' the browser crashed after a print.
Sometimes before printing and somthimes after printing or when you close the browser.
Al other operating systems like XP, Vista, Windows 7 with different IE versions have no problem.
I tried the report manager from SQL Server 2008 and SQL Server 2008 R2.
The same error occured when printing from our Internet application and the reportviewer.
(ASP application written in Visual Studio 2010 and reportviewer version 10.)
The event log shows two different messages.

Thank you for your response. Your answer was the
reason for finding the real problem.
In december 2010 a SQL Server 2008 fix was the cause. I don't remember exactly the problem, but we changed the RSCLIENTPrint-x86.cab file. But instead to use the version of SQL Server 2008 we used the version of SQL Server 2008
R2 (10.50.1600.1). This worked until
Windows 8 (Internet Explorer crashed when printing).
We fixed this problem by using the RSClientPrint-x86.cab file from SQL server 2008 (10.0.5500.0).
But we now get the known problem that the
activeX always must be installed again.
The reason for this is that the version of
the SQL Server (10.0.5512.0)
and the rsclientprint.dll (10.0.5500.0) is different. SQL Server is newer (caused
by a security patch (KB2716436)).
Do you know when this problem will be resolved
by Microsoft?
Work arrounds
I've also tried to install the RSClientprint.dll
every time automatically (without user interaction).
But this will be delayed the printing for more
than 4 seconds. This
is very annoying.
Another workaround is to generate a PDF and print the PDF. But this is also
a lot slower.
Uninstall the security patch. but I don't know the security risk.

How can I obtain a summary report from webi through counts and sum

I have a report built from webi. But will like to count the report by different categories.

You have several options. You can simply add totals to the measure columns where you want a count or sum. Click on the column and then click the Sum button on the menu and you can count, sum, min, max, etc.
If you want a separate summary report, you can place formulas in the cells like =Sum([Measure Object]) or Count([Measure Object]), or create a variable as the same and place it in the cell.
You also have the option of creating the pre-aggregated objects in the Universe and then they are already there for you to use where you like if they are aggregations that you will be using often.

ADI vs Report Manager

Hi,
We are currently in EBS 115102 with 11gr2 database .
We plan to upgrade to realse 12 soon.
Today we are working with ADI 7.2 Client Server- which wont be avaliable at release 12.
We was asked by our DEV team to migrate to Report Manager.
I would like to know if Report Manager is part of Web ADI , or if Report Manager and Web ADI are seperate tools.
Also would like to know if there specific steps to upgrade Report Manager from release 11i to 12

Does Report Manager is an "option" Yes, in 11i you need to install some patches, and in R12 you need to license it -- Please see [ID 1113366.1], "How do I install Report Manager?" section.
Does it need an extra licence from oracle ? AFAIK, you do not need a license.
