Report - Not able to display image stored on External server or internet

Hi
I need to display image on report that is on different instance for that i had put a formula column (in report 10g) and for that coloum i made file format as image and read from file as Yes and giving it the URL of Image stored on different server . but at run time for PDF output i am getting error like REP-1295: Data format of column 'CF_1' is unsupported
Please help me , Thx in advance.

I need to put image on XML report that is on different instance for that i had put a dummy image on XML template and in the WEB TAB for that image i put the tag like url:{ATTRIBUTE3} and attribute3 is having correct value we are also showing it on the report , but at the run time i can only see the dummy image of the template and the URL, not the actual image , URL points to a image on different server we can see the image when we place that URL in Web browser.

2.In Microsoft Word's Format Picture dialog box select the Web tab. Enter the following syntax in the Alternative text region to reference the image URL:

Displaying images stored in SQL Server

Is there someway of displaying images stored within SQL
Server. Is FDS required? Prefer a method to display images without
using FDS; Web Service would be okay if that can work

I do that sort of thing using PHP and mySQL the binary part
of the image is stored in a BLOB field (Binary Large OBject) along
the rest of the information necessary for the http headers (e.g.
mime type, file name, file size) being staored in their own fields.
That info is then used to build the file using PHP. The PHP
file contains a mySQL query whos result is echoed with the
appropriate headers. The URL points at the PHP file rather than at
any saved image.
Here's the php:

A component is not able to display Image UIElements anymore

Dear Developers,
I am discovering today that a component that I have developped is not able to display the Image UIElement anymore. In the workbench, the element is displayed correctly ( it has no binding of its attributes to the context and the URL of the source is static).
Its parent container is the ROOTUIELEMENTCONTAINER and it is visible (all parameters are the default).
No Image can be displayed anymore. This is very strange. My other UIelements in the view are displayed correctly and seem to be working nicely (events, actions, methods calls ...).
Can you help me ?

PS: I tried accessing the same URL with a Image UIElement in another component and it works fine. It seems that the generated coding Javascript/HTML is invalid (when I try to display the sourcecode of the application/frame, IE informs me that the source contains errors). For Information, I am running Netweaver SP 11.

Hi again,
I think I have found where my problem is. I have right clicked on th eimage and try to set some settings in the browser while using the application (on the displayed image).
Now the image is not displayed anymore (according to the settings) but I dont know where I can delete these setting values. I tried removing my cookies but it did not help.
Any idea?

Problems displaying images stored in SQL Server as Datatype "image"

I am trying to display an Image stored in SQL Server as
datatype
'image' and it only shows a portion of the image.
It seems to be tied to the size (kb) of the image since the
larger the
image the less of it is shown before it cuts off(sometimes it
cuts off
mid line so it's about the file size and not fitting the
image on the
screen).
Here is the code I am using that deals with the image.

I am not able to display image

Hi..........
I am showing tiff image on web page i used AlternaTIFF plug ins to display image. I embed the image on web page by using embed tag. like....
<embed src="file.TIF" width="981" height="444" align="middle" access=94 fit = "100%" mousemode="pan" alt="" name="Image" > </embed>
It will work fine and show the image.
But i have to open image as per the selected item in drop down. as i change value in drop down the image will change accordingly....
I want to make it dynamic any solution please................

Not able to retreive Images stored in cache directory of android device

Hi,
I have created a ADF mobile application where in I invoke getpicture to utilise the camera feature. The images taken are getting stored in cache folder of the application ./data/<app name>/cache
.Using the ADFmf utilities , i am able to navigate to that folder and when i try to read or copy the images it is failing
1234434.jpg (No such file or Directory).
Can anyone help me resolving this issue.

I tried changing the directory as following in java class:
File trgDir = new File("/tmp/myTarget/");
File srcDir = new File("/tmp/mySource/");
FileUtils.copyDirectory(srcDir, trgDir);
but unfortunately Adf mobile application does not support "File Utils. copy Directory" library
so is there any way to circumvent this problem.

Displaying Images Stored on a Server In Flex

My original idea for my app was to have live thumbnails of websites by screenshotting a html component in the app and saving these screenshots as jpgs which are applied as the source of the thumbnails. I now realise this is a bit too unstable as if the site doesn't load the images won't display. What I want to do instead is use the same idea but instead of the application writing to the application directory writing to a server where the images are stored so that it will overwrite these images.
What I need to know is how to display server stored images in flex in either an image component or an array collection so they can be applied to a tilelist. The problem is I have zero experience at using server side data with flex. Can anyone point me in the direction to some examples/tutorials on how to display server stored data or more specifically images within a flex application or give me advice on this? Cheers.

quick and easy way to do it would be with PHP.
Make a script, scan a server folder and return the results in an XML format that can simply be fed into a datagrid/tilelist/whatever. To give you a few hints of what to look into.
You'll need an initial HTTPService request fired off to the php script. The PHP script will then need to parse through the folder finding all the images, i'd recommend the glob() function in PHP to do this. eg:

print "<screen><name>".$filename."</name><location>directory/".$filename."</location></screen>"
print "</images>";
then you'll need to handle the result event, simply feed each item into its respective place and ta daa.

Not able to display the image on the popup.

my requirement is: i have command link on the form.which on clicked should display a popup and with in that popup a image should be shown. I have stored that image in the form of byte array.
On clicking the link i am able to show the popup.But,not able to display the image on the popup.

Not able to display a dynamic image

I'm not able to display a dynamic image on Adobe print form.
Here is what I did.
Please let me know what I need to do to get this working...
1. Created a Graphics node in the Context of the Adobe form.
2. In the URL tab of the graphics node defined the following two lines:
     <URL pointing to the MIME repository folder>
     IM_FILENAME_1
     Where IM_FILENAME_1 is being passed to the Adobeform function module.
3. In the Layout mode, dragged and dropped the Graphics node from the
    contenxt tab to the form layout. On doing so it appears as a image field in the form layout.
4. Activated the form.
BUT, when I run the form , the image is not showing up.
The idea is to pass the image file name to the form so that it will show up a dynamic image at run time.

Try this, that should work.
In the interface , define a parameter type string where you will store the URL of the image .
In the initialization part of the interface , check if the URL is defined, in case it's empty define a default URL . You should put the compelte URL of the image like "http://www.company.org:8080/logo.logo.jpg" .
Then link this parameter to the Grpahic Node in the URL parameters .

Not able to display flat file's error line in output

The below Source Code is BDC for XD01 (update Customer Master Record) in CALL TRANSACTION method. This program is written in call transaction method cause as per users requirement, user wants error log to be printed as soon as the BDC process finished in the background mode.
When you execute this below program it will show a selection screen from where you can select your flat file from system.
After executing this code show output like below as soon as it finished processing the FLAT file.
1. Customer Update Summary
2. Successful record with customer number and name.
3. Error Records with 'record number' and 'reason for error'
(For testing you just have to copy-paste-save-active the source code)
And I have encountered an issue over here in 3rd section-Record Number of Error Records.
The Record Number is for display the line number of that flat file line which in which error has occurred.
The Record Number Entries showing only 0 instead of showing line number of error entry .
I have used Function Module FORMAT_MESSAGE to capture the errors. But not able to display line number of that flat file which is containing error.
So please suggest me what changes I should make in below source code to get proper output.

can anybody guide me.
i have written code for displaying logo on alv grid report.
i uploaded bmp image using OAER
but even then i am not able to display logo on the report please help me

First upload images in SAP using transaction se78
http://www.howforge.com/step-by-step-upload-bitmap-images-to-sap
Then use that Image name to call using function module
in top of -page
