I am not getting any standard Report for previous Employer details.
Pls. help me on this

Path : Human Resourses>Personnel Mangement>Administration>Infosystem->S_PH0_48000510 - Ad Hoc Query (Double Click)
Then select /SAPQUERY/HR_ADM (SAP standard query for PA) and execute
here give input or out put selection for what ever fields you want from perticular info types.. if IT0023 is not there in the list take ABAPer help to insert the IT and execute..

Infotype 0023 Other/Previous Employer

Good Day Experts
I have an important query regarding Infotype 0023 - Other/Previous Employer in Adhoc query [S_PH0_48000510].
When i try to generate the data in IT0023 using Adhoc i cannot generate the data. But if you check all the empoyee
in PA20 they all have Previous Employer Data in IT0023, this is in SAP Production. But when i test adhoc in SAP QA and Dev it is working properly i can generate the data...

Infotype 23 is often special in the way that begda/endda is previous to employee's hiredate. To be able to see these data in ad hoc query, you need to set a switch in the infoset.This is done under 'Extras' and the tab 'Coding' for the entire infoset.
The switch should be as follows
*$HR$ [P0023]
*$HR$ TIME_DEPENDENCE = 'INDEPENDENT'
Note that the * should be there, it is not a comment.
Square brackets should be around P0023 (doesn't show up in thie post)
In addition, you need to ask for period 'All'

Dear all,
I have problem as following. When accessing personal information, Education or Previous Employer info can be edited but does not have delete button like other IT. In "Determine Active Subtypes and Make Settings" configuration, I do not stick "Data mus be available at all time". Can anyone show me the reason why? Highly appreciate for response!

is this standard iview? Please can you verify or is it ITS BASED?

Error in Previous Employer Details (IT 0023) in Recruitment

When I try to save IT 0023 (Previous Employer Details) in Recruitment in Enter Additional Data action, I am getting the following error message:

Previous employer payment data in payroll

Hi all,
I am doing Malaysia payroll. As per the new tax calculation, Tax infotype has a subtype to capture previous year employer payment details. But I could see only yearly relief payments in this.
For actual tax calculation, should we use the previous employer gross salary, EPF and tax etc to get the actual yearly calculation? If it is, then where will enter these data? Please advise on this?

Previous employer Income

Hello Friends,
We are facing the problem in Printing of FROM-16 FY 2010-11 related to Previous Employer Income, PF and Tax. We have maintained the previous employer INCOME, PF and TAX (infotype 580) for TAX projection/deduction on monthly basis only. In Form-16, we do not want to provide the previous employer details (Income, Pf and Tax deducted amount)in Form-16. Now, the previous employer income was reflected, which is not required in Form-16.
Please suggest how to hide the income on form-16

No you cannot do it as this is legal compliance... coz if the 5 PERNR are not shown the previous employer salary for tax exemption these 5 people will be in fresh slab..
If your client asks .. to do so .. take it in writing from the client and do not maintain the master data of the infotype details in the Infotype of those employees ....

Check the table V_T582A and see the time constraint class associated with the infotype for example IT 0002 for Personal Data.

How do I reinstall device software over an encrypted installation from my previous employer?

I have a curve on t-mobile with a customized (encrypted) device software installation from my previous employer. I want to upgrade to the latest device software but cannot get it to install - I am guessing it is due to the encryption.

You need to remove the IT Policy.
WARNING, if this device is on a current BES account, through your employer, and your employer BES Admin or IT people do not approve or recommend the removal of the IT Policy, you could find your self in heap of trouble. So don't do it if the above does apply.
Otherwise...
You will need to use JL_Cmder to remove the IT Policy. Follow the instructions in this link and you will be good.

Unable to see Personal Id,qualifications and previous employer details.

We are implementing ESS /MSS in our portal, we need to show personal ID ,qualification and previous employer details in the ESS portal but though they are available on tne backend the corresponding links are not seen on the portal.
What could be the reason for this.Please help me in this regards as this is really important for me.

There are lots of documentation available .
A means that data records with a certain start or end date can
be created and that multiple data records can exist at the same
time.
B means that data records can also be created without a start or
end date and that it is not possible to have multiple data
records at the same time.
Example 1
On her first workday, an employee is asked to enter her personal
information in ESS. In the Personal Data service (infotype 002), From
Today is proposed automatically as the validity date. The start date is
the date of the entry and the end date is the 12/31/9999.
In this example, the setting must be as follows:
Infotype             Subtype              Use Case
0002                 -                    B1
Example 2
An employee is soon to be transferred to a new location. He takes one
week of leave before the move. Although his new address is not yet
active, he wants to create it in the system so that it will be active
when he starts work. In the Addresses service (infotype 0006), he

In this example, the setting must be as follows:

How to show a report for 'Previous Month' Data

Hi Gurus,
I have a requirement, where i have to default my report to show previous month data.
Scenario:
My prompts by Default are set to CURRENT (current year,quarter,month). once the user logs in, the report should display data for month 'Nov' instead of 'Dec'.
I tried using TIMESTAMPADD() in the formula , but it didn't work, though i don't see any error. Not sure if i 'm missing something.
Is there a way to achieve this.I 'm using OBIEE 11.1.1.6.
Any help is highly Appreciated ! Please.

From what you wrote I am assuming the user can manually save the report results to the Excel file.
If your report uses ALV Grid it is possible to export the data to a spreadsheet (one of the functions available in the ALV tool bar).
If you have used WRITE statements it is also possible to save the output as a spreadsheet (menu System -> List -> Save), but the latter will not produce as nice a spreadsheet if the data don't form a matrix. In other words, some work may be necessary in the spreadsheet afterwards before it has the format your user wants.

Report Issue: Previous Weeks, Current Week and Next Week Values

Hello Folks,
this is a typical requirement...at-least typical for me..
we have 20 weeks of data at weekly level. we have four Metrics out of which two are coming from Database and rest two are calculated metrics.
Metric0: On Hand Qty
Metric1: Past Qty
Metric2: sell Qty
Metric3: unsell qty
Metric4: Total Qty
the report will always be shown for 20 weeks, but depending on whats my current week, all the past weeks should be flagged as Past Week. (so i wrote a case statement for this). for Instance: I am in Week11, so my weeks in should be Past Week, Wk11, Wk12.........Wk20.
Metric 1 is always dependent on result of Metric4 (This is the Complexity) per week basis
Metric1 for Past weeks value in Week Column will be wk1 to wk10 On Hand Qty (fox ex: 80)
Metric4 for Pass Weeks Value in Week Column will be Metric1 for Pastweeks + Metric2 for Past Weeks (For Ex: 20) (Past weeks mean wk1 to wk10)
value of Metric4 is now 100
Metric1 for Week11 Now should 100 (From Past weeks Calculation)
Metric4 for Week11 will be Metric1 for Week11(100) + Metric2 for Week11(10) + Metric3 for Week11 (10)
Now...Metric1 for Week12 will be 120 which is wk11 total (100+10+10) and goes on Until Week 20
Any Ideas how to achieve this in obiee 10g

Database level --Create opaque view & procedure or function to get the week total,week ago total, current week , Past week ,future week & do rpd modelling and use PIVOT VIEW.
At answers:
1.Here Previous week M4 is the current week M1 which means it is a cumulative value carried forward week by week.
2. M2 & M3 are direct database columns.
3. You have time hierarchy with WEEK Level.
M1 - ago(rsum(m2+m3),weeklevel)
M4- RSUM(M2+M3)
week -AGO(RSUM(M2+M3)- M2-M3-RSUM(M2+M3)
w1-0-10-20-30
w2-30-11-21-62
w3-62-12-22-96
Now you can PIVOT IT to get in
W1-W2-W3
M1 0 - 30-62
M2 10-11-12
M3 20 -21-22
M4 30 - 62-96
NOW PASTWEEK (W1-W10), CURRENT WEEK(W11)-W12
1.as you see cumulative here you need to use BINS.means ( case when week <= currentweek(maybe variable) then prior) else week)
2. UNION - combine similar request - First cirteria week <= w11 and second criteria week > week 11 --combine pivot it. Use sum agg in fx criteria1.

Reporting on Previous Month/Current Year - Jan 09 fix

I currently have about 10 reports that are being filtered to only show data on the repository variables for :
PreviousMonth and Current Year.
When Jan 1, 2009 comes around, these reports will be kicked off to show Decemeber of the Current Year, so December of 2009.
What is the best/easiest way to fix this problem for the future?

What Shiva meant was to let YEAR be a Presentation Variable that the user can select from, say a drop down list of "years."
But consider this. Whenever the month of the "system date" is January, you want the year to be one less than the "current year." For all other months, you want the year of the "system date."
PrevYear = CASE WHEN MONTH(Calendar."System Date")=1 THEN YEAR(TIMESTAMPADD(SQL_TSI_YEAR, -1,Calendar."System Date")) ELSE YEAR(Calendar."System Date") END
And since you weren't sure about how to do the previous month...
PrevMonth = MONTH(TIMESTAMPADD(SQL_TSI_MONTH,-1,Calendar."System Date"))
