Report Output appears diffrently

Hi,
The alignment of the labels Report Output appears differently in the different 3 views:
a) Report Output viewed on the screen.
b) Report Output viewed on the paper after screen.
c) Report Output viewed on the Layout Editor of the Report Writer.
If you have some solution or work around,Pl give the feedback.

  • Discoverer report - Output from Discoverer plus is not the same as Discoverer desktop

    As a part of Upgrade project we are migrating the discoverer reports from 11i (11.5.10.2) to R12 (12.1.3) .After migrating to R12, for a custom discoverer report the output given by discoverer desktop is correct (24 rows for a scenario). But the report output from Discoverer plus does not show the credit transactions (2 rows). The output from Discoverer plus shows only 22 rows (24 - 2), which is incorrect. The query is the same in Discoverer desktop and Discoverer plus.
    Please let me know why these transactions that are appearing when the report is run from discoverer desktop are not appearing in discoverer plus. Is there any setup in discoverer plus for this?
    Regards,
    Brajesh

    Pretty hard to answer a question like this.  Best bet would be to copy the existing discoverer plus book and start removing conditions, fields, etc until those two rows from desktop show up and see if you can work it out.

  • Issue while downloading the alv report output in spreadsheet format .

    Hi,
    I have a report output, whenever I try to download it in the spreadsheet format to my desktop,
    I get the following issue:
    Say the correct material number is 10833340001218999 or 10030000063207001
    (This appears in the report output)
    But in the excel file the number is displayed as 10833340001218900 and 10030000063207000.
    Please help.
    Regards,
    Sucharita.

    Hi Sucharita,
    The reason for your problem could be that in excel 2007, characters more that 15 are replaced with 0.
    Or you can try downloading the data using FM 'GUI_DOWNLOAD' , if currently you are using stadard SAP functionality of data downloading.

    Hi,
    If you have to display the pdf attachment in the report output, you may try using CL_GUI_PDFVIEWER. Have a look at this code sample as to how to implement it

  • Report output in XML format

    Is it possible to save (or export) report output in XML format, it is ok with either WebI or DeskI report, here we are concerned about output format not what type of report we can use to produce the output in XML format.
    Thank you,
    Srini

    Hi Srinivas,
    Only options available in WEBI or DESKI is to save documents in Excel or PDF format.
    As a workaround you can use Excel as an intermediate between your WEBI or DESKI document to XML format.
    When you try to save WEBI document in XML Data format you may get following Error because the Excel sheet does not contain any XML format that requires.
    u201CCan Not save XML data because the workbook does not contain any XML mappingsu201D
    Solution:
    1. Excel cannot save all or part of your workbook as XML Data if you have not created one or more mapped ranges.
    2. If you haven't added an XML map to your workbook, or your data is not contained within an XML list, then you can save your workbook in the XML Spreadsheet file format.
    If you have added an XML map to your workbook, follow these steps to map XML elements to your worksheet:
    1. On the Data menu, point to XML, and then click XML Source to open the XML Source task pane.
    2. To map one or more elements to your worksheet, select the elements in the XML Source task pane. To select nonadjacent elements, click one element, and then hold down CTRL and click each element.
    3. Drag the selected elements to the worksheet location where you want them to appear.
    I Hope this helps to find  the path of solution with Ease.

  • Reports output format

    Hi all,
    How to save a report output in "RTF" format in client system..
    As I set the REPORT_DESFORMAT to 'RTF'
    SET_REPORT_OBJECT_PROPERTY(report_id,REPORT_DESFORMAT,'RTF')
    I'm unable to see the report in client machine as they appear in reports cache folder on server.
    my server os is windows server 2008 and my client os is windows 7.
    Thanks & Regards...

    You cannot save a file directly to a client PC. After running the report you have to open the generated file in the browser (with web.show_document, plenty of examples in this forum) and the user can then save the document on his PC.

  • Forms sending report output horizantally in excel...

    Hi....when I send my group above report output to exel it arranges each group horizantally. For example if there are two master groups 'A' & 'B' each of them having 500 child rows, then in excel fristly appears the Group 'A' with its 500 child records downwards. And group 'B' appears ahead of Group 'A' instead of down to Group 'A'. Is it not possible to arrange output in excel like that of oracle reports previewer???

    Hi Vishnu,
    Try setting your desformat parameter to 'html'. You may also want
    to check the value of the FORMS60_REPFORMAT environment variable.
    Ensure that the value for this environment variable is 'html'
    rather than 'HTML'. After setting the FORMS60_REPFORMAT
    environment variable, restart the forms listener. I experienced
    the same problem that you describe, and the above fix worked for
    me.

  • Diagnostic Reporter Output Format?

    Hello; I've just begun working with the Diagnostic Reporter piece that comes with the StorEdge 3x00 software, and I've generated reports and notifications in both XML and non-XML format.
    I have no XML experience; when I receive the report in XML format, and I attempt to open in IE, it displays the XML coding for the report. If I open it in Firefox, it also displays the coding, but includes an error at the bottom saying that there "appears to be no style sheet" available for this XML file.
    If I use the non-XML format, the report comes in a jumbled plain-text format. Some sections are tidy enough to be read, others aren't.
    I've gone through Sun support, and the group that I was directed to stated that no one on their team has any experience with the Diagnostic Reporter tool.
    Does anyone have any tools or tips for how to read or reformat the Diagnostic Reporter output? Thanks!

    Hi,
    While defining Template you have defined the output format as pdf,so edit the template and output format Excel.

  • Controlling web report output

    Hi, I would like to find out how to control the web report output generated by the server. Any help and ideas would be most welcomed.
    I'm trying to get rid of the extra pair of <html> </html> tags generated by the report server. Below is an example of the html output generated by the server
    <html>
    <head>
    <base href="http://server_name:port/reports/rwservlet/getfile/HW/YX+JyF1XNS6sQmfjO3063/39488071.htm">
    </head>

    What I want is

    <head>
    <base href="http://server_name:port/reports/rwservlet/getfile/HW/YX+JyF1XNS6sQmfjO3063/39488071.htm">
    </head>
    </html>
    Apart from manually removing the tag myself, I can't find any documentation on how to do that. Is that even possible? I also notice that if I try to use paginated html reports builder, it doesn't give me the extra pair of <html> tags.
    Thanks,
    genie

    Hi Genie,
    Currentlty it is not possible. This is something that will be possible in one of the upcoming releases / patches of Oracle Reports.
    However, this extra pair <html> tags will appear ONLY when you send the output directly to the browser, ie, when you use destype=cache in your command. If you send the output to a file, ie, destype=file, there will be no extra <html> tags. When you generate a file from Builder, it is equivalent to destype=file, that is why you do not see these tags in the output file.
    The reason for having these extra <html> tags is: when you send the output to browser, the browser needs a BASE url, ie, a base path where the browser will look for any images etc. This BASE url is not part of the HTML output, but is written by Oracle Reports to tell the browser where the associated images etc are located.
