Report Painter Execution Problem

Hi,
I am working on Report Painter in which i am facing a problem that when i execute the Tcode GR55 and fill the Group Name in it ,if there is only 1 report in it ,it gets executed but when there are more than 1 report in it ,some times it gets executed ot sometimes it does not.
I want to know how can i execute a selected indiviual report when there are about number of reports present in the library assigned to that group.
Please provide me guidelines for solving this problem.

Hi,
The reports in a report group are executed at the same time, so that in the report display you can switch between the individual reports.

Report painter performance problem...

I have a client which runs a report group consists of 14 reports... When we run this program... It takes about 20 minutes to get results... I was assigned to optimize this report...
This is what I've done so far
(this is a SAP generated program)...
1. I've checked the tables that the program are using... (a customized table with more than 20,000 entries and many others)
2. I've created secondary indexes to the main customized table with (20,000) entries - It improves the performance a bit(results about 18 minutes)...
3. I divided the report group by 4... 3 reports each report group... It greatly improves the performance... (but this is not what the client wants)...
4. I've read an article about report group performance that it is a bug.
(sap support recognized the fact that we are dealing with a bug in the sap standard functionality)

Report painter/Writer always creates a prerformance issue.i never preffred them since i have a option with Zreport
now you can do only one thing put more checks on selection-screen for filtering the data.i think thats the only way.

Report painter formatting problem

Hi
I was working on a report in GR32 and seems screwed up.Now the report's decimal is not coming up.When I goto formating and select the decimal option , decimal comes up but spacing between columns get affected.Can anybody tells me how to fix the formating issue of columns. I mean adding decimal,comma and space between columns ?

i am explainig for report painter reports ( similar way must be there for report writer)
go to grr2
you will see on top of the columns 'format group : 0' written.
when you go to formatting -> columns you will seee a format group on the top and below you will see the width , decimal places etc.
say you want to have column a very wide and column B needs to be filled with only one or 2 numbers then on top of column A you can the format group to 0. Then click on formatting-> columns and make the widht eg 20.
for column B on top of the column change the format group to 1. Then go to formatting -> columns then select the format group as 1 and then make the width to 2.
This way you can have different widths, decimals etc for differenet columns

Report Painter language problem

Hi,
When we logon to Report painter Reports in Polish Language, the report is not displayed in Polish Language.. but English language..
I have checked the following:-
1. PL language is maintained in GCRS T-Code.
2. The concerned GL also appears in SKAT table in PL language.
3. I have also executed GR59 to import it from Source client 000
4. Also executed GR55 to execute the report group.
5. Also checked SAP Note No. 719246.
The GL's despite that appears in English language and not in Polish Language.. Any idea what can be done to get the display in Polish language.

Report painter execution error - KH014 "Report does not exist".

Hi All,
I customized one report in FSI3 and used SE43 to create a t code for this report. In the development system, report will be executable from this t code.
Transport requests are successfully transported from development to production without any error. But on production when I tried to execute the report, I am getting the error KH014 - "Report does not exist".
While checking in production I found that the report was missing from report tree in FSI3 and as a result the customized report cannot be executed. As per basis guys there was not a issue in request transportation.
Has anyone encountered similar problem? How was it resolved?

I can execute the report from t codes like FSI3 & FSI0 in development.
I used SE43 for t code creation. At the time of t code creation there is a option called "Drilldown" under Report type heading, In drilldown option I selected my report from report type 002 (Financial Statement Key Figure) and created the t code. After this I transported both the request to production server.
Please let me know if this is wrong method or there is any other option to transport this report in Production.

Report painter execution error - GR657 - set does not contain any entries

During our execution of report we are getting the below error:
Set 0102PCBT1IPROVDIV in set 0002$ZA13#######ROW0236 does not contain any entries
Message no. GR657
Diagnosis
You cannot use empty sets to define reports. The single-dimension set contains a basic set that does not contain any values.
Procedure
Use a set that contains at least one value, or enter values for the set defined.
This has been discussed in a similar Thread in May 2010 by puri & Praveen Jagdeesan,
However I am unable to trace the set & how to delete the blank values.
0002$ZA13#######ROW0236 or ROW0236 in the system.
Set 1IPROVDIV is exisitng in system.
Also when we go to KAH3 - Cost element hierarchy & see in the where used list we are not able to see the set being used in the report whereas the system from where we have exported the report we can see that this set is being used in the report.
Please could you help in resolving the same.

Report painter/writer problem

I have a report which has many columns related to cost center.It has so many fields like current year actual ,standard cost etc.We want to add one more column to the report (prior year actual) and also a variance of current year - prior year actual.Guys I am zero in report side.But willing to learn.Can any body guide me how to open this report in edit mode and add 2 columns to this ?

Go to GRR2. Enter your Library and report you want to change. Select the columns button. Place cursor in the colmn where you want it to go. Double click. Pick your element type Key figure formula etc. Save changes and run execute to test.

Problem in Exporting a Report Group having a Report Painter Report.

I am having a problem in exporting a Report group having a Report Painter report.When I am trying to export the Report Group using transaction GR57 with all dependent objects,it is displaying:
       group 0102CPDNUEA-CCROSI not transported.
       Transport groups separately if necessary.
There are 6 such groups which are not transported.Can anybody help me in this regards.Can anybody help me in exporting these Groups.Specifically in Report painter reports what do these Groups signify and how can we see them.Please help me....

I am able to export my report groups with dependent objects successfully.
I dont know why you are getting error message. Just keep break point at ***** and execute it for single group and find out why it is giving error.

Problem in report painter

We cloned the program of KSB1 transaction code and created a new t.code ZKBS1 to include some additional fields.
I attached this t.code in report group as a receiver report.
After executing the report painter report, in order to explode one cell value I have chosen ZKSB1 report which I have added to the report group. I am getting the following error
Transaction code not defined
Message no. KB 496
Diagnosis
You have called up the program without defining a corresponding transaction code. This is probably because variant maintenance has been called up using se38. It is not possible to create variants using this transaction.
I have checked whether any authorisation issues are there / any problem in new ABAP program associated with ZKSB1 and there is no problem with both.
I had a similar issue sometime back and when I regenerated the report group it worked fine. But now even after regenerating, it is not working.
Has anyone encountered this problem? Any solution?

Instead of going to SE38...you can directly create the variant in the ZKSB1 screen or even you can create the variant in KSB1 screen and the same variant can use even if you run the ZKSB1

Report painter GRR3...Division problem.

In report painter i have a division problem. I am calculationg Gross profit percentage as
Gross Profit % = ( Gross Profit / Sales ) * 100.
So the value should be
GP % = ( 2523302.56 / 14067690 )*100 = 17.93 ( As per calculator )
But the SAP is showing the value as 18.09. Can you please guide me what could be the problem?

I didn't chosse the copy function, instead I insert row 104(other current asset) , but I find the first column (which should be a formula)corresponds to row 104 is empty, and I check all formula ID under formula components, there is no other current asset
formula ID, what should I do?
Row 103(current asset) has a formula ID, but new inserted rows can't find formula ID

Problem of columns entitled to empty in report painter

We have a problem in the report painter.
We have just implemented the support package and some columns entitled are empty.
I was advised to execute transaction GR59.
Can you give me information about this transaction ?

Problem in creating report in report painter

I am creating a report in Tcode GRR1 and while creating it,i am getting a error i.e. :-
CO Area must be specified -> Add in general data selections or rows/c
Please provide me guidelines how to solve this problem as i am new to the report painter.

Report painter problem very urgent

Hi to ALL,
I have prepared two reports of cost centre through report painter. The format is proper is both the reports. The set is also correct and values in set(i.e cost centres) are also properly
but when we execute the report one report is being executed properly while other shows zero values. only when i doubleclick on zero amt and go to plan line items then it shows me values for that particular row in report.
Why is it so? what is solution to it? can it be possible that my tables are not correct. Ia m using CCSS table.

Can you check one thing...after selecting the zero you are getting the line item...chekc the total of that items...if it is coming zero..then no problem.
If not you can check in the no.format of that report. If you select the lacs format and your amount is below ten thousand...you will get the zero value only

Problem transporting Report painter reports

Hi experts,
I have created a report painter report by copying another report and added it to a transport request in GCTR. This transport moved to Quality system. Later, I identified that this request also transporting the library and sets which are already exist in production system.
Could you please suggest if this can be moved to production. does this make any problem in production

Hi Bharath,
If the dependent objects are already available in your target system, you can avoid transporting them.
While creating the transport request through GCTR, ensure that 'under Further details section, checkbox - With dependent objects is not marked'.
