Report painter horizontal page
I have written a report, in report painter, for planning, whereby you have the option to select two years and each year can have 12 months: all, any or none. The 24 columns are using variables for PERIOD, VERSION, RECORD TYPE, FISCAL YEAR. I am using two horizontal pages. Page size width is 253.
The report runs correctly, but, when I choose less than 12 months in the first fiscal year, I want the second fiscal year to display & print adjacent to the first fiscal year. However, it won't, it displays & prints on a separate page. It is as if there is a horizontal page break and I can find no data on such.
Any solutions?

I found the problem. I created a report in Report Writer by copying this one. In the Column Block set, there were two page breaks. These coincided with the beginning of each horizontal page. (I earlier said there were two, but actually there are three) I took the breaks out and the report displays & prints correctly.
Now, how can I identify and delete the Column Block Page Breaks in Report Painter.
Is this the right forum for this question? If not, where should it be posted?

I have the same issue. I have also de-selected the 'Allow row to break across pages' for the whole table but still the table breaks and continues on the next page.

How to bring all columns in a single/first page in report painter
Hi Experts,
There are 9 columns in a report painter which includes 1 lead column.
7 columns comes in a first page including lead column and rest 2 columns goes to second page. This report is copied from another report where all columns comes in a first page only. if the original report comes in one page then why not the new report.
Please suggest how to bring all columns in a single/first page in the new report.
Please revert if I'm confused anywhere.

Thanx for the quick reply. When I change the column width to 10 it comes in one page. But the requirement is to keep the column width to at least 12 or 14 and moreever the original report from where this report is copied having the same no of columns and the column width for original report is 14 and it comes in one page only.
Do I need to do something more to achieve this. My question is how the original reports data comes in one page where as the current report having issue with same number of columns.
Pls suggest.

On the Create Report: Rows screen, move the cursor to the row set for which you want to enter characteristic information and choose Edit --> Choose.
The Row Characteristic dialog box appears. You can switch between characteristics using the Prev. characteristic and Next characteristic buttons.
Enter data in the Totals display group box as required:
The Totals display fields allow you to enter a number range of levels and then:
- Underscore or overscore with single or double lines or format characters at these levels.
- Insert additional blank lines between levels.
- Highlight lines between levels.
- Define colors for lines.
Set the Lower border indicators depending on how you want the lower border for the row characteristic totals to appear. You can define the lower border so that no lower border appears, a single line appears, a double line appears, or a user-defined character is used for the border.
Set the Upper border indicators depending on how you want the upper border for the row characteristic totals to appear. You can define the upper border so that no upper border appears, a single line appears, a double line appears, or a user-defined character is used for the border.

Reporting Services - Horizontal Scrollbar not scrolling sometimes fields exceed page width
We have a landscape report with lots of fields, causing report to span in width, more than page width. We don't print the report, just view it. Problem is that sometimes when previewing the report, the horizontal scroll bar opens to a size of the whole report
window and there's no actual scrolling functionality to have the report show what's to the right of the data shown.
We checked this with IE8, IE9, and as it seems there are entries on the internet about such problem, but we haven't encounted an entry with solution / bypass to this problem, when relating to preview within report builder / VS / Reporting Services in
IE (they relate there only to reportviewer control if at all).
We did find that in this event, manually zooming the IE window where the report result is shown, helps the horizontal scroll bar go back to what it should be, and work, e.g. zooming down to 75% and returning in zoom up to 100%....

Just as you said, I still think the issue is caused by Internet Explorer. We can try to
run IE in
compatibility mode or
disable third party add-ons
of Internet Explorer (IE) to check the issue again. If this issue

Horizontal page numbering - Crosstabs -Crystal reports 2008
Hi All,
We have Crosstab tab in which columns grows horizontally and rows too grow vertically. It automatically page breaks when it reached the page layout width.
My requirement is to number the all the pages in Page N of M format.
But if we use the special field "PAGE N of M" it doesnot number the horizontal pages (it can be only be repeated)
If we use the special field "Horizontal page number"- it number horizontal page number alones.
Is there any workaround to number the horizontal (virtual)pages also along with the normal pages.
We tried on various formulas by making use of no.of columns but nothing worked out.
It would be of great help if someone helps me out in a workaround for numbering all the pages(including the horizontal pages)

I did try to implement your example to my existing report.
My current report will always have expanded horizontal pages for two different crosstabs from two different group footers.
When I attempted to add the {@ Page Header} field/formula to my crosstab Column, it automatically changed to a different database field from my database.
Have you experienced this before?
Other then that, the pages seem to be getting counted correctly by the {@Page Number} formula.

Report Painter. Form edited only display first page.
Hi All,
I have add on new column on my report painter and now the display is more than one page.
There is warning "Only the first page is displayed in the report" whenever i execute to make modification using T-code : FMEO.
There is ">" ">|" button appear on top when i run using FMEO.
But , when i try to run the form from its T-code. The report only shows the first page column.
The second page is not showing, and there is no button ">" to browse to next page as well.
Just wanna know, is there anyway i could fit 2 pages into 1 page or is there any setting that i could enable so the user could browse to second page on the form?

<b>Onli on First page means </b>... this node will get executed on the first page irrespective of the page name i.e it considers onli <b>&page& eq 1</b>...
Suppose u have ur fist page i.e MY_FIRST_PAGE.. and in this page the data in the main window may trigger the same page as second page .. i.e if the data in the main window is not sufficient to fit in the first page it triggers the next page i.e MY_FIRST_PAGE as second page ...
so this MY_FIRST_PAGE may extend to the second page also right !! so when u use on page MY_FIRST_PAGE.. this node will get triggered if this page extends to more than one page also..

Hi all,
I have developed a report using report painter.
In my report i have 30 columns which will be displayed in 2 pages.
when i execute the report i am able to see first page ROWS AND COLUMS properly but not second page.

Go to transaction code KE36 and in the formatting menu you can do the relevant formatting for restricting the printing to one page.

Need horizontal pages of my cross tab in a sub report
How can I avoid Crystal from cutting the horizontal pages of
my cross tab in a subreport.
I tried the suggestion in
Cross Tab Question
but the length of the columns is not fix.
So I tried a division with 170 to 200, but if there are
20 values in the first column and only 4 in the next 30 columns,
my cross tab expandes to much.
I have only enough space for 10 columns.

The cross tab in my report has a variable number of columns(e.g. the report could produce two crosstabs, the first cross tab has 16 columns and the second one has 4 columns.)

In Report Painter, my report starts on the second page
How do I prevent this from happening?
I went into section overview and joined my 3 sections into 1 table. When I go to view it in gr55 > z9ab I have to scroll all the way down and my report starts on page 2.Hi Daniel,

NitishSelect the column, which need to be moved by placing your cursor on the column & press F9. Now place the cursor at a place where the column needs to be moved & press F8.

Now, when we are executing the output transaction with the desired inputs we are getting correct data for fiscal year 2011 whereas for fiscal year 2010 we are not getting Sales Cost data for ZGRS output whereas for fiscal year 2012 we are not getting the Sales Cost in FI10 output, whereas as per the standard output both Sales Cost data present in ZGRS and FI10 have to be synchronous.

Trying to add new columns to Report painter Report
Hi Experts,
I created a report painter report by copying an already existing report. In addition I wanted to add extra columns to this report but after adding a few and coming to the last page of the existing report when i try to add a new column the system gives me an error message
Insufficient space on current page -> moving not possible
Message no. KH581
As this is the last page, I am not able to add extra columns to this report. How can I go to the next page and add columns to this existing report. Your responses are highly appreciated.

This is a constraint in the system.
The solution maybe is to define narrower columns
because there is a hard restriction in ABAP to have at least 255 digits
on one page.
The message KH581 is processed because there is not enough space left
on the first horizontal page. So if you first add a new horizontal page
you can add the new column on the second page. Also if you decrease the
column width of the columns to get more space left on the first page you
can add the new columns.

Report Painter - Invisible Column
Hello All -
I am creating a report painter report using internal order table.
When I execute the report, I am seeing a column that I don't see when I am editing the configuration of the report.
I have looked to see if the column resides on a different Section, Horizontal Page, or is Hidden.
I don't see multiple Sections or Horizontal Pages and nothing seems hidden.
Am I missing something?
